Opende is located in the Friese Wouden. The Airbnb is on our property on the border of Groningen and Friesland. Hiking and biking are possible in the nearby nature reserves Alde Feanen, Bakkeveen, Beetsterzwaag and Lauwersmeer. A day trip to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog is also easy to do. Culture can be found in Groningen, Leeuwarden and Heerenveen (about 25 min). Surhuisterveen is about 2 km away and has a shopping center with supermarkets, restaurants and all kinds of shops. You must arrange breakfast yourself.

Het Twadde Hûske is a cosy, colourful and comfortable apartment (with air conditioning) that can be booked for a maximum of 5 people + a baby if necessary. Het Twadde Hûske has a soothing view over the meadows, located on a private road, with a nice terrace with lounge chairs and a picnic table. Equipped with air conditioning (for heating and cooling) and underfloor heating. It is, in my humble opinion (and that of the many guests), the most complete Airbnb you can find.
