A beautiful King size Ensuite room with your own private gated entrance, your own front door, your own private courtyard style seating area. Complimentary Coffee, Tea, Sugar, Breakfast Cereal , fruit and biscuits and milk in your room on arrival. There is a small fridge in the room .
We are only a couple of minutes walk from a footpath which takes you across the fields and onto the famous Lymington to Keyhaven Solent Way Walk and Nature reserve. The mosaic of ponds, ditches, and lagoons on the reserve support a large number of wetland plants and animals. In winter wading birds including Black-tailed Godwit, Curlew and Lapwing feed in the flooded pastures alongside Wigeon and Brent Geese. Spring sees the arrival of migrants from the south. Wheatears appear on the shingle at Iley Point and Whitethroats sing from clumps of bramble along the Ancient Highway. In early summer look out for Linnets and Stonechats perched on Gorse bushes around the reserve. Plants flowering on the seawall include Sea Pink, Rock Samphire and Sea Campion. In late summer the ditches are full of the purple- flowered Sea Aster, often attracting Wall Brown and Painted Lady butterflies. Several species of dragonfly patrol the waterways catching insects or searching for a mate. Mammals too make a home on the reserve, Roe Deer and Hares are frequently seen around Normandy Marsh while numerous mice and voles provide food for hunting Barn Owls. ABOUT LYMINGTON Lymington is a pretty Georgian market town in the south of the New Forest, Hampshire. It is surrounded on three sides by the New Forest National Park, offering a delightful combination of wooded forest and open heathland. The town sits on the western bank of the beautiful Lymington River, leading onto the Solent, with idyllic views of the unspoilt coastline and the Isle of Wight. To the west of Lymington is a coastal nature reserve to Keyhaven and Hurst Castle, recognised as a site of Special Scientific Interest. Lymington’s town centre was predominantly built in Georgian times and has a number of very fine and attractive Georgian buildings, which lend an air of history and elegance, in particular along the High Street, with its hotels, inns, shops and other businesses. There are a number of excellent boutique shops and independent cafés, with a good choice of well-known retail outlets. The large and busy Charter Market has origins back to the 13th century and fills both sides of the High Street from Church Street to Quay Street all day every Saturday, come rain or shine. The cobbled Quay Street leads down to the Old Town Quay, still used as a base by local fishing boats. Lymington boasts a variety of restaurants for all tastes, and many excellent pubs, both in the town centre and on the outskirts, as well as further afield in many of the nearby New Forest villages A major yachting centre with three marinas; Lymington is the heart of the UK’s acknowledged Sailing Mecca and famous for its connections with Sir Ben Ainslie and other sailing legends. The open-air Sea Water Baths date from 1833 and has recently been restored, making a popular activity for locals and visitors throughout the summer months. The town also boasts a successful coastal rowing club and a host of other watersports including kayaking, powerboating and paddle-boarding. Lymington has a vibrant marine industry, from chandlers, yacht sales and race crew management to yacht service, marine engineering and components. Between Forest and Sea: a wonderful place to live - or visit! With all this in mind, it’s not surprising that Lymington is one of the “Best UK Coastal Towns in Which to Live”. Combined with accessible road and rail links north to London, west to Bournemouth and east to Southampton and beyond, as well as the car ferry service to Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, the town combines practicality with pleasure; the perfect work-life balance. There is a wealth of local sports, clubs and leisure activities. We are only 20 minutes walk into Lymington Town Centre and a short distance from the bus stop ! A short drive across the forest to Beaulieu Village , Motor Museum and Palace House. Step back in time on the banks of the Beaulieu River at the peaceful haven of Buckler's Hard. Discover what it was like to live and work in an 18th century shipbuilding village; home to the ships built for Nelson's fleet at Trafalgar. Today, the village continues to thrive, unspoilt by the passage of time; As you stroll along the nearby Woodland Walk you will discover how the local timber at Buckler's Hard was used in the 18th and 19th centuries to construct ships for the British Navy. Visit the Maritime Museum which tells the story of this unique village, bringing to life the characters who lived here at the time of Henry Adams, the Master Shipbuilder at Buckler's Hard between 1744 and 1805. Historic displays in the Labourer's and Shipwright's cottages show how the village would We are on the coast in between the cities of Bournemouth and Southampton.

  • Had a lovely two night stay and would definitely recommend this beautiful annexe. The little touches were handy and the responses to my questions were quick and detailed. Would love to come back and visit!!

  • This place is a little gem! It’s so modern and was sparkling clean. The bed was so comfy we slept brilliantly with that and all the fresh air. The extra touches with cereals, fruit, shower gel etc and washing of the crockery made us feel very well looked after albeit have our own privacy. It was a nice walk into Lymington or to the marina especially on a Saturday for the Market. It was excellent value for money and we would love to stay again.

  • Skylarks is a lovely little flat in a central but quiet location in Lymington. It’s very near the cobbled area of Quay Hill and the old quay, and just a few steps from the shops. It was an absolutely ideal base for my 3 day trip to Lymington. Car parking is a short walk away, but there was always space when I needed it. The flat has all the basics, and Tesco Metro is only a few doors down the road. You can log in to Netflix on the TV and there’s a DVD player and some DVDs. I would happily stay here again.

    Sarah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location for exploring Lymington - just a couple of minutes walk from some great pubs and cafes. Very comfy bed with a nice spacious feel in the flat. We were there over Storm Dennis so made use of the Smart TV and the suggested coastal walk that Erla told us - the New Forest being a bit flooded.

    Maggie2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great property, stylishly furnished and plenty of space. Hot tub a bonus!

    Ben2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had three nights here with our two boys (aged 2 and 5). We had a lovely stay! The place is very nicely decorated and more than big enough. The boys loved the games room and it was easy access to both the New Forest and the IOW. The hot tub was a lovely treat at the end of the day too. It's right by a busy road but this didn't affect our enjoyment and we would definitely return again!

    Clare2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A very stylish space and great that rooms are separated by two different stair cases - ideal for 4 friends / 2 couples or a family. Although important to note it is very close to a main road. We didn’t realise before we stayed but it didn’t change much just meant you had to drive to get into town/ nearby walks. Overall a great stay and would recommend. The hot tub is a good touch too and excellent use of the space.

    Lauren2020-02-18T00:00:00Z

  • Great location, great hosts. This place was perfect for me and my dad as a base for our little trekking getaway. Simon have us tips on where to go upon check in and breakfast amenities were already provided! Only downside was that the WiFi did not work/connect so we were unable to watch movies as we had hoped in the evening but it turned out to be quite nice to plug out! Would recommend definitely and am considering returning if I come to new forest again.

The Vineyard is a great base for exploring the beautiful New Forest which is just a stones throw away and also within walking distance to Lymington via a public footpath. The New Forest is one of the largest remaining tracts of unenclosed heathland & forest where wild ponies & deer roam freely, & you can too! The nearby town of Lymington is a pretty Georgian coastal town on the southern edge of the New Forest, famous for sailing with its international marinas and its rich history.
From the lounge you can see the Isle of Wight & rows of our vines in the gorgeous Hampshire countryside. The main bedroom is a comfy double bed on a mezzanine level looking out over the living area, this has an en-suite loo. In the main living area, the sofa makes into a double bed if you are more than 2! If you have a baby, we have a travel cot and a high chair which we can put in there ready for your arrival. There is a lovely large bathroom with a bath & shower on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped (no microwave I’m afraid). We have room for bikes and boats on trailers - just ask! (additional cost of £25 for boats we ask for cash on arrival for this)
We have a fantastic selection pubs and restaurant’s just walking distance along a pretty footpath. The local footpath runs around our fields, one direction takes you to Lymington the other takes you to the New Forest.
  • Great host in a great location. The place is actually a lot bigger than the pictures would have you believe. We enjoyed our weekend here and loved the personal touches to our stay. Would highly recommend.

A charming cottage in the coastal market town of Lymington, in easy reach of shops, pubs and restaurants. Comprises two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a double bed. It is a self contained cottage enjoying a super location, with the Georgian market town, its lovely High Street, 2 Marinas and sea wall walks all within easy walking distance. There are endless cycle paths, forest walks and the many delights of the New Forest to explore.
Lymington and the New Forest will be sure to spoil you and hopefully so will we, making your stay a memorable one. We have run, as airbnb Super Hosts, a small Cottage approximately 4 miles from this property for over 20 months now and have achieved a five star rating and believe we know how to make guests feel welcome. We have also learnt what is important to guests so we have applied that learning in bringing this new offering to the holiday letting market.
There are endless activities, coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, walks, rides, costal walks on offer all within minutes walk or drive if wanting to explore the delights of the New Forest. On Saturdays Lymington High Street has a lovely market on the High Street.

  • Richard's "Sea Cottage" was exactly as described; beautifully cosy and well kitted out. Just what we needed for a couple of days mid-week Winter get away with our dog. Location is great for access to Lymington's centre and town quay, or out to the walks alongside the Solent. Just a couple of minutes walk to the Haven Marina cafe/ bar/ restaurant too, which seemed to be buzzing both daytime and early evening.

Counting down the days until we return

On request we can supply a travel cot or toddler bed.
Appletree house annex is above the triple garage. It is connected to a locked office. The annex is insulated and heated with electric heaters, in cooler months these will be turned on long before you arrive, there is also a heated mattress cover on the bed.
We are seven minutes drive from Lymington which is full of lovely places to eat and shop, more information can be given via email and there'll be a list of places to eat in the room. I am happy to make recommendations. Opposite Appletree annex, just a two minute walk away is Gordleton Mill, a five star hotel serving breakfast lunch and supper daily. There's plenty to do in the area, we are five minutes drive from the New Forest National Park where you can take a walk with the new forest ponies, cows and donkeys. Appletree house is situated on a bridleway, it's possible to walk from the house to Everton where there's a pub or even further to Milford on Sea one of Britain's last remaining sea side villages, about 3miles. Milford has some very nice shops and restaurants.

A beautifully refurbished, private annexe in the heart of Lymington. The Hut is next to, but separate from our family home, with your own private access, parking, and garden/patio area. Comfortable living space, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, kitchen and bathroom with waterfall shower/bath, bedroom with luxurious six foot bed that can be split into twins. 5min walk to the High Street, with an array of supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants, and a 30min walk to the marinas, Yacht Club, and Sea Water Baths.
The Hut opened in October 2019 after being beautifully renovated in a beach hut/holiday home theme, with comfort and luxury as our focus. The accommodation is suitable for two guests, plus a baby/toddler. We can provide a high chair and travel cot on request, but ask you bring your own bedding for the little one. The property has two dedicated parking spaces located on the left hand side of the main house driveway, which take you to a private gated entrance with coded keypad. The gate opens to a pretty, private outdoor garden/patio area with seating for 2 people so you can enjoy your breakfast/coffee in the morning sun. The Hut is accessed by a coded key safe which is to the right of the front door. On the ground floor is the kitchen, living/dining area and bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fan assisted oven/grill, hob, full size fridge, freezer and dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and plenty of cupboard space. Also provided is crockery, cutlery, glassware, and enough cooking utensils, pots and pans to cook a full blown roast dinner if you so choose! Basic cleaning products are provided along with tea-towels, kitchen towel, cling film, foil, dishcloths, fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets, olive oil, salt and pepper. We also supply individually wrapped tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar for your use. The Hut does not have a washing machine, but if you are staying for a while and need to do some washing, there is a launderette located about 5 minutes walk away. Equally, I would be happy to put a wash on for guests for no extra charge. There is a laundry bag located in the bedroom wardrobe, so just text/email me and we can arrange this. There is a working smoke alarm in the kitchen, plus a fire extinguisher and fire blanket. Our electrical safety certificate is up to date, and all appliances and sockets are tested annually by a qualified electrician. There are no gas appliances in The Hut. The living area has an extendable dining table, with two chairs, a large, comfortable corner sofa with cosy blankets, a flat screen Smart TV with access to Netflix, and an array of board games, puzzles and books for you to enjoy. Unlimited Wi-Fi is provided, and a Bluetooth speaker which you can link your own devices to. USB ports can be found in the sockets in the living room, kitchen and bedroom. The bathroom has a waterfall shower over bath, WC, basin, shaver socket and electric towel rail. Plenty of large soft towels and toilet roll are provided along with complimentary locally produced organic toiletries. Upstairs, the bedroom is nestled in eaves of The Hut, so please be aware there is restricted headroom. There is a 6 foot Superking size Gainsborough divan bed, which can be split into twin beds on request. The bedding is all anti-allergy with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, and a selection of pillows. There are built in wardrobes containing clothes hangers, big, fluffy dressing gowns, a full length mirror and ironing board. There is a dressing table space with hairdryer, cotton pads and cotton buds provided. The Hut is heated by modern electric radiators, which are pre-programmed to provide a comfortable temperature, but you can alter this if you wish using the controller provided.
The historic Georgian market town of Lymington is set on the south coast in the beautiful New Forest National Park, between Southampton and Bournemouth. Famous for its sailing history, there are two large marinas filled with fishing boats and yachts, as well as two sailing clubs. The town’s narrow streets are lined with pretty period cottages and houses, as well as plenty of local pubs and restaurants. A good range of shops, supermarkets (Waitrose, M&S, Tesco’s), and a large choice of restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. ‪‬‬ ‪Lymington High Street has several independent shops and designer boutiques, as well as a local market held each Saturday, which dates back to the 13th century. At the bottom of the High Street, a cobbled road leads down to the Old Town Quay, which is still used by a number of commercial fishing boats. There is often a chance to buy fresh fish on the waterfront. ‬‬ ‪The New Forest National Park offers a huge range of leisure activities such as walking, horse riding, archery, golf, clay pigeon shooting, cycling, and water sports, including kayaking, canoeing and sailing.‬‬
  • Anna’s place is beautiful: incredibly comfortable, clean, and full of thoughtful touches (eg. a fully-stocked kitchen, fluffy robes and plenty of board games to play). The only minor issue was that the shower head was a little low for us (we’re both over 6ft), but otherwise I would highly recommend a stay.

    Leyla2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Anna’s ‘Hut’. It’s a lovely clean, stylish place with a homely feel. The amenities were very good, and Anna kindly set up a high chair and travel cot for our 9 month baby to use. The location is great, walking distance to the high street and short drive to The New Forest and the coast.

A cosy, well-equipped cottage, recently refurbished to a high standard. Ideally located on the outskirts of Lymington with easy access to the New Forest and south coast. There is parking for one car at the front of the cottage and a private courtyard garden to the rear with patio table and chairs.
The bedrooms are on the first floor, reached by steep cottage stairs. Bedroom one has a king size wrought iron bed. Bedroom two has a single bed and an en-suite WC with wash basin. The new shower room is on the ground floor with cosy underfloor heating. The beamed lounge/dining room has a high quality wood burning stove, Laura Ashley sofas, smart tv and Bluetooth CD radio. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and ceramic hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. The utility room has a butlers sink, washing machine and small tumble dryer.
The cottage is ideally located for exploring the New Forest and the market town of Lymington, whose weekly market takes over most of the High Street every Saturday. The quay and marinas are close by, as are the beaches at Milford-on-Sea. A convenience store is 100 yards away, with other shops and takeaways (fish & chips, Indian and Chinese) within half a mile. The nearest pub is two doors away.
  • Absolutely perfect. The cottage was just as described, so many homely touches, immaculately clean. Lesley and Steve put in a lot of work to make us feel at home. Close to Lymington town centre for a look around the town and a nice walk along the Key haven nature reserve for the dog. Only a 20 minute drive to Lyndhurst and good walks in the New Forest. Cannot reccomend enough! Thanks again!

  • We recently spent two nights at Lesleys cottage and had a great weekend exploring the surrounding new forest. The cottage is beautiful and so cosy with a lovely log burning fireplace. It comes equipped with everything you could need for a few nights away and Lesley even left us some homemade biscuits which were much appreciated. She even offered to post a charger back to us that my husband left at the cottage with no issues. :) thanks Lesley

  • Me and my wife had a great stay with our dog Ollie. Really feels like a home from home. Cosy, spacious and comfortable. Little touches throughout that make the stay easy and enjoyable. An absolute gem. We loved it and we’ll definitely be back. Especially for Ollie dog who spent his evenings in front of the log burner. Thank you.

  • Lesley and Steve's cottage is a gem. It is beautifully decorated and has absolutely everything you need for a stay away from home. The kitchen and bathroom are stylish and very spacious for a small cottage. The wood burning stove is a lovely feature and Steve and Lesley left plenty of firewood. The beds were also very comfortable. The location is handy for access to the coast and New Forest. Overall a wonder stay - highly recommended!!

This flat is set in a grade II listed building and affords views up and down the Georgian High Street. Recently refurbished, on the 1st floor is a kitchen, bathroom and lounge (incl sofa bed) and dining area. A large double bedroom covers the top floor.
The property has been refurbished, including a new bathroom. We always strive to keep our apartment in the best condition for our guests, therefore we have made the following further improvements in 2020: New carpets, upsized to a king size bed and refreshed decor. Set out over two levels, the first floor features a fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and bright lounge (including sofa bed and dining area). There is a large double bedroom covering the top floor, with plenty of room to accommodate young children (if required) or to simply relax and enjoy the views.
LYMINGTON: Lymington is a market town steeped in history, from it's smuggling past to it's more legitimate business of the sea salt industry. As you wander down the High Street you can see how the town has evolved over the years into the yachting retreat it is today. Every Saturday this apartment has views over the market stalls that have an array of items to explore. There are also some fantastic restaurants such as The Haven for a lovely meal overlooking the Marina, to a more relaxed meal in the Kings Head (where the fish and chips are legendary) or if you are looking for a coffee, Ciao Belli serves up a lovely coffee (and some classic Italian food). A must during your stay should be a walk along the Solent Way towards Keyhaven. Starting at the marina, it follows the sea wall past Lymington marshes and wildlife reserve and offers beautiful views across the Solent to the Isle of White and the iconic Needles. The route is accessible by foot, cycle and buggy. The local park (Woodside Gardens) has tennis courts, playgrounds, rugby and football pitches. This is a lovely place to go for a picnic and the walk from the apartment to Woodside takes you past some of the historic architecture of Lymington. If you would like to get out on the water during your time in Lymington then boat tours around the Solent are available from the Quay. There are various options available depending on your preferences. Or if you prefer to stay on dry land, you can grab some fishing gear, kick back and do a spot of crabbing. THE SURROUNDING AREAS: Lymington has the New Forest on its doorstep so it is the perfect location to explore all the villages, trails, forest walks and pubs it has to offer. You also have Buckler's Hard, quaint Beaulieu and it's motor museum, Hurst Castle and Milford-on-Sea, Highcliffe Castle and Mudeford's beautiful beach, all a short journey by car or a bike ride away. There is also an excellent network of buses should you require them. DAY TRIPS: Lymington Town train station is only a short 5 minute walk from the apartment and connects to Brockenhurst in the New Forest where you can spend the day exploring the village and surrounding forest trails or hire bikes and venture further afield (cycle hire is available right next to Brockenhurst train station - maps and suggested routes are supplied). There is a ferry that departs frequently between Lymington and the Isle of Wight (Yarmouth), taking passengers and cars. Try to squeeze in a day trip over to the island to explore Yarmouth, Alum Bay, hike out to The Needles, wander around Shanklin or soak up some history at Osborne House. Lymington Pier ferry terminal is just a short train journey from Lymington Town station. If relaxation is what you have in mind, then Senspa or the spa at Chewton Glen should be on your list of things to do. There are loads of individual treatments or spa days to choose from - if you are heading to Chewton Glen then I would recommend having afternoon tea there too! For the children there is Longdown activity farm, where they can see and hold a range of cute farmyard animals!! If exploring further afield, then a great trip is to drive to the famous beaches at Sandbanks and catch the chain ferry across to Studland. From there, continue on to Corfe Castle, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove where you can experience some the the dramatic Jurassic coast. .... or you could always curl up with a good book, a glass of wine and watch the world wander by in the comfort of this lovely High Street apartment!
  • Lovely place for a quiet wknd away!!

    Matthew2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment, we stayed there with our two young children (stair gate at the top of the stairs made bedtimes stress free). Location is perfect - high street shops, sea and the forest only a short distance away. Check-in was easy, parking next to apartment, delicious cakes on arrival. We loved our stay and wanted to stay longer!! Highly recommend.

    Sarah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely stay, right in the centre of town. The cupcakes and milk were a fantastic surprise on arrival! Nicola responded quickly and was really helpful with local tips and recommendations! Would stay again.

    Siobhan2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nicola & Dan's place is absolutely fantastic. Being located right on the high street, pretty much every imaginable amenity is on your doorstep including a variety of coffee shops and pubs. They left us delicious cakes when we arrived which was a very pleasant surprise. The flat is very well thought out and sparkling clean. They left us milk in the fridge (although we never made use of it) and there were utensils and cutlery which helped us as we travelled with our 2 year old son and dinners were always in. The bedroom was very comfortable and there was an additional portable heater which came in handy too. The location is great too as you are not too far from the forest walks and the water. Beautiful towns like Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst are only a few minutes away by car. We will definitely recommend this place and will consider coming back here ourselves too.

    Amitabh2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent base for exploring the New Forest, right in the heart of Lymington. The flat is very comfortable, as described. Host was responsive and sent useful, accurate information. Everything went smoothly. Would use again if we’re staying in that area.

  • The accommodation was the best value for money. The Air Bnb description is accurate and Caroline is a perfect and friendly host. I happen to know the area very well and it would be extremely difficult to find a better place to stay in terms of location, cost and character of the house itself. A great stay!

    John2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline’s place is described very well. A cosy little attic room up steep stairs in a homely terraced house. There’s a comfortable bed, a surprising amount of storage space and the use of a warm and spacious house bathroom. The fridge on the landing, kettle and toaster were very welcome.

    Errollyn2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • First time sharing someone's home as always stay at hotels but unfortunately the hotels for fully booked so used this service. Didn't know what to expect but Caroline made me feel welcome and no problems in coming and going. I stayed at cycled around the isle of wight. The place is homely and clean and comfortable. You get what you pay for and I didn't have any complaints and would stay again.

    Pat2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline’s place is wonderful. As advertised, it’s located right in the middle of Lymington with easy distance to the High Street and several cute local eateries. Caroline replies quickly to messages and is flexible with check in and check out. The space is very clean and perfect for a budget traveler looking for an easy place to stay.

  • Absolutely fabulous stay! The house was much more spacious than what we thought it would be, and was perfect for 6 adults, a baby and a dog! The house has all the amenities you need, and outside area was wonderful - we all very much enjoyed the hot tub. Peter is a very friendly host and was always on hand time to help with any questions we had too. All in all a very cozy stay and we most certainly will be returning!

    Emma2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Oak House - we loved the hot tub and the Arctic hut! Bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the upstairs shower was amazing. Location is great too, Lymington is a nice town to stroll around and there are some lovely walks in the area. Two nights probably wasn't enough. The kitchen is quite small so if you're planning on cooking big meals maybe bring things that are pre-cooked that you just have to reheat. Peter was very helpful and has friendly dogs too. Would definitely stay again!

    Hannah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. Peter is a brilliant host with lots of thoughtful touches around the place. The hot tub and arctic cabin were brilliant. Plus Peter’s dogs were lovely! Looking forward to staying again. Thank you Peter!

    Isabel2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place! Highly recommended! Peter is a great host and the property is fantastic! The hot tub was massive and well looked after. Next time we will definitely be trying out the Arctic Cabin!!

  • Such an amazing home, so modern, clean and great extras. The hot tub was amazing (and huge!). Hosts were so helpful - we loved the 5 labradors

    Amy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I have just returned from a fabulous girls weekend at the truly stunning annexe with the most amazing views (could not stop looking out of the window!!). Peter was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome, along with his gorgeous labradors. The hot tub was huge and even storm Dennis did not keep us out of it! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back

    Julia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible weekend staying at Peter’s annexe! The place was spotless and stylish and the hot tub and arctic hut were absolutely fantastic; such a luxury stay! I cannot recommend this place more! Peter was so friendly and helpful; he was so quick to respond to any questions and always keen to offer advice. Our dogs had a lovely time in his beautiful fields and the town was so close by as well. We will absolutely be coming back!

    Jocasta2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Oak house is a beautiful property situated on well kempt grounds with access to the host’s private fields. The annexe is modern, spacious and cosy. It was a great venue for my birthday with 5 friends and the hot tub was large and a fun way to end our day. Peter was very welcoming and made a great host. I would recommended Oak house if you are looking for a relaxing weekend, we all appreciated the attention to detail within the property and from Peter himself.

  • The Chalet is a beautiful place to stay. With a ski theme to it, it is really cosy and has everything you need. There is off-road parking, a separate entrance. They kindly left a pint of milk in the fridge, although breakfast is not included. They also left some sweets for our daughter. The shower room/toilet is chilly in the winter as it has no heating, but it’s a lovely big, hot shower. The location is brilliant too within walking distance of all the Milford-on-Sea amenities! We would highly recommend.

There is a laundry room on site. The caravan is adjacent to our camping fields. The local pub is a 15 minute walk away down the country lane. you can walk into Lymington or Keyhaven along the sea wall, approximately 1.5miles.
Located close to the Town centre of Lymington (1 1/2) miles. Close to the Yacht Marinas. Great pub nearby called The Chequers ( 900 yards). The sea wall is very closeby.
  • I had a great time at Hurst View with my family. The accommodation was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. Good heating system so was very warm and had a powerful shower which I was quite impressed with. The second bedroom had 2 single beds and was quite small but I was on my own in that room so wasn't a problem. Good dining and sitting room space and great to have gas hob too. The site is very quiet which was lovely although you would need to drive to Lymington for shopping. I would recommend and return! Thanks Denise!

Lots of walks locally to the Chequers Inn pub, and down to the sea wall, you can walk all the way to Keyhaven. Our pup enjoyed it alot, although was alot of walking for her little legs. The caravan was clean and modern and perfect for our stay. Nice lounge area and has everything you need. We would certainly recommend :)

A great base for exploring the New Forest and an easy drive down to the glorious sandy beaches at Sandbanks and Branksome Chine. The space was clean and cosy and we were very comfortable during our stay, plenty of towels were provided for us. The kitchen is very well equipped and the space is very well laid out. A great stay, thank you.

    Karen2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Annabelle was a charming host: pleasant, discreet and respectful. Continental breakfast was top notch (freshly baked bread and pastries, greatjuice, plenty of coffee etc) and the place was spectacularly clean. Having dressing gowns and nice bath products made it have a hotel-esque feel.

  • The apartment was spotless and very well equipped! Jillian and Ed were both very helpful! Absolutely faultless!

    Eleanor2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay, great for Lymington town centre, clean & comfortable, very well equipped, Jill a great host.

    Derek2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The property was very clean and comfortable, and in a good location. Jillian was a very friendly host. We appreciated having an allocated parking space. Would recommend.

    Dave2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jillian’s apartment is really nice and spotless clean. The whole place is really well furnished and perfect for two people and a kid. It is quite convenient as well, at the top of the High Street with easy access to the main shops and the seafront. We will certainly be happy to stay here again in the future!

    Elodie2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant location, everything you need in the flat and the surrounding area, we had a wonderful time. Great, easy communication with Jill, all in all it couldn't have been easier.

    Vikki2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jill was very responsive and welcomed my sister and brother in law very warmly. Jill's place is just off Lymington High Street so super convenient with allocated parking. A lovely place to spend time. Thank you.

    Maggie2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Jill for your hospitality. Your flat is perfect to stay in that so beautiful area and probably one of the best bed I had ever sleep. I hope to back again to your place.

    Riccardo2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely short break at Jillians place. The flat was modern and comfortable with everything we needed. It seemed very well thought out and cared for. The bed was great, probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in at an Airbnb place. The location was ideal, just off the high street. With that comes a little road noise during the day but it was quiet at night. Jill was very quick to respond to any messages and met us at the property for check in (which she kindly put forward a few hours after she found out we would be in the area earlier and the flat was all ready as nobody had stayed there the night before). It was a great base for exploring the area (which was beautiful in autumn colours). All in all exactly what you want from an Airbnb stay. We would definitely stay again if we get to visit the new forest again.

A very spacious character apartment on 2 floors with far reaching views of the island, lymington river and lymington rooftops. The outside terrace is spacious and a lovely place to dine outside. We do not have parking on site but we will provide a long stay parking permit for the duration of your stay. This can used in all NFDC car parks. There are long stay car parks very near to the apartment.
The apartment is very spacious with large windows and high ceilings and all 3 bedrooms are spacious. The pretty bathroom has a full size bath with hand held shower/mixer taps. We do not have a walk in shower.
Lymington is a beautiful Georgian market town. A short drive to a plethora of beaches.
  • A beautiful apartment full of character and charm. Very close to all amenities, the high street, sea and several great eating places. Thoroughly recommended.

    Helen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Frances was a perfect host and gave us great recommendations for dinner. The apartment is in an amazing location and walkable to all the amenities in Lymington. The car pass was a great touch and we managed to park very close. We would love to come again.

    Katherine2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment far exceeded our expectation, the location is absolutely spot on, we couldn’t have asked for more. A stones throw from shops and restaurants as well as the water front whilst still being very quiet and private in the apartment. The size is perfect, it feels more of a house with it being ok two floors so plenty of space. Frances was very helpful and accommodating, she even left us some supplies including wine for our stay, we would love to return.

    Sian2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Old traditional town house with charm. Lots of local sights and adventures. Nice restaurants on High Street.

    Christian2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a weekend at Frances’ apartment: me, my husband, our 2 yr old and two 20 yr old cousins. Frances was amazing with communication and we knew how to get there and what we would find on arrival; getting into the apartment was a piece of cake and she provided us with a parking pass - super helpful as her flat is in the heart of downtown Lymington! She also provided a baby cot. The location is perfect- the weekly Saturday market is just in front, it’s a 5 mn walk to the port, 8 mns to a playground, and the convenient High St location means everything you need is on your doorstep. It was our first time to Lymington and we found it super quaint and full of hidden gems. As Frances notes there is only one bathroom and it doesn’t have a standup shower ... we made do with no problem but for big groups or longer stays it’s something to keep in mind. For us it was just a charming detail. She also left us wine & crackers, coffee/tea/milk! Hostess with the mostess! Definitely recommend.

    Erin Elizabeth2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The property couldn't be better located & is a great base for exploring Lymington or for jumping on an open top bus to see the New Forest. The flat is very comfortable & well decorated, the bedrooms are all a good size & the outside terrace is a great space to have breakfast, lunch or dinner al fresco or just to sit & relax with a glass of wine. We had a great stay, Frances was a superb host & we will definitely be back.

    Jo2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two nights here over a lovely summer weekend and it was the perfect spot. Easy to locate as it is right on the high street, with shops and restaurants in easy reach. There was three nice spacious double rooms, a lovely big lounge and a kitchen with everything we needed if we wanted to cook in. The terrace was the cherry on top, a lovely place to sit put after a long day walking in the new forest. Host was lovely and attentive, giving us great recommendations for the local area and even leaving us a bottle of wine to enjoy. Would happily stay again :)

The property is a charming 1870 cottage and situated in the coastal market town of Lymington located very close to 2 marinas with easy access to the town centre and the high street is only a 10 minute walk away, where you will find excellent shopping including a Saturday Market and many fine restaurants and pubs.

Being on the edge of the historic New Forest there are many delightful walks and cycle paths, with wonderful beaches at Milford, Highcliffe and Mudeford nearby.
This is a quite peaceful neighbourhood and should be respected if returning late at night
  • Keith and his partner are wonderful hosts and make you feel right at home. They do have dogs, but they are very sweet and well behaved. Great location in a quiet part of town. Absolutely recommended! Thank you both for a great stay!

  • Keith and Carol are fantastic hosts and are really helpful recommending local attractions. They were also very helpful contacting us on the day we travelled sending photos and detail maps to help us on our journey. Their home is beautiful, warm and cosy. Both bedrooms were lovely and the separate bathroom was perfect. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend staying at their home.

    Caroline2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, clean, bright, comfortable pair of rooms with their own bathroom, including a full size bath and hand-held shower. We were delighted to be offered shed storage for our bikes for our cycling break, as well as a generally warm, friendly welcome. The dogs were kept well out of the way, and only barked to say hello as we entered the house, and were quiet as mice the rest of the time. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Great little flat in a superb location, just a little walk round the corner and you're in the heart of Lymington, lots of lovely shops, the quay is beautiful even in February! It was just me and my 3 year old so the flat was perfect. Warm, cosy and very well equipped with a very comfy sofa and equally comfy bath. So many great things to do in the area.... Crabbing in the harbour at Lymington Beaulieu Motor Museum Cycle hire at Burley Cross St Barbes Museum and Gallery Beautiful villages of Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst Marwell Zoo (Winchester) We had a great short break and although the flat is in a more built up area rather than in the middle of the National Park...it's in the perfect location to get to EVERYTHING within about 20 minute drive, with the convenience of being right close to great coffee shops and restaurants walking distance. Will definitely visit again.

  • Well situated in Lymington with access via a private courtyard. Quick & easy access to local shops & transport - perfect for visiting the coast, the New Forest or popping over to the Isle of Wight. Reagen is a great host with lots of local tips and quick responses to queries. Well recommended for a relaxing & enjoyable stay on the South Coast.

  • Reagan’s flat was clean and cosy. It had everything we needed for a few days in the New Forest. The location is excellent - Lymington high street is just around the corner, the New Forest and the beaches are just a short drive away. Would recommend to others and would happily stay again!

    Emma2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, clean and tidy and has everything you need. Only negative for us was parking. The Parking was a bit of an issue for us as the 3x parking spaces are quite tight as it is and the one neighbour had parked very badly meaning they were eating into our space and they werent able to shift over for us because all their tyres had been slashed at the time so they couldnt move over for us incase it damaged their wheels. We managed to get by in the end with lots of patience and jiggery each time we had to park at but it wasnt ideal at all. This was not the Air bnb hosts fault though and even though she was away in New Zealand, her communication with me to try get this resolved was great. Im sure under normal circumstances, parking should be alot easier. The flat is located well for the new forest and surrounding coastal towns and we would recommend it if you want to see that part of the UK.

New for 2019! Completely refurbished throughout, this Grade II listed two bedroom apartment is at the top of a landmark building on Lymington's historic cobbled Quay Hill next to the Quay. The interiors have been thoughtfully designed with a mix of vintage and modern furnishings. The space includes a King sized master bedroom, a bedroom with two singles, new kitchen, cozy lounge with dining table and bathroom with walk in shower and roll top bath. Free WiFi, Netflix & parking permit
We’ve completely refurbished the apartment to make the most of the character of the building but with everything our guests could want for a comfortable stay. We think you’ll love the location right in the middle of Lymington’s cobbled Quay Hill, 30 seconds to the Quay and the same to the bottom of Lymington’s Georgian High Street. Experience the best of Lymington with artisan eateries, traditional pubs, fresh sea air and the beautiful New Forest National Park. The building is one of the oldest by the Quay dating from around 1680 – please be aware there are fairly narrow stairs and low ceiling heights – may not be suitable for the very tall. The Master bedroom is a great size with a King sized bed. The second bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms have deep pocket sprung mattresses and high quality Egyptian cotton linen. The cozy lounge has a sofa with an HD TV, free unlimited WiFi and Netflix. There’s a beautiful reclaimed dining table which is set up for two but can seat four when pulled out and used with the other two stools. The new kitchen has a gas hob, oven with grill, washer/dryer, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, toaster etc. We have a Nespresso coffee machine and supply a few pods to get you started. We love the midnight blue cupboards, brass handles, metro tiles and oak floors. The large bathroom is a real feature – large walk in shower and a roll top bath. Towels included. There’s no parking immediately outside but we do provide a long stay parking permit to be used in a number of car parks across Lymington, the closest being The Quay (around one minutes walk) and Cannon Street (around five minutes walk). The permit can also be used for free parking in approximately 30 car parks across the New Forest - great for exploring! We love to welcome families and have a few things to make it easier - a travel cot & mattress (please bring your own babies bedding), a high chair and kids plates & cutlery. Please note there’s unfortunately no buggy storage area inside. Inside the apartment we have a guide book including a long list of our favourite places to eat, drink and days out nearby.
Our apartment provides the opportunity of staying in the heart of Lymington with all the conveniences of the historic High Street minutes away. The building is on the cobbled Quay Hill, 30 seconds walk to the boats at the Quay. Parks, coastal walks, a leisure centre and an open air swimming pool are also nearby. The location gives easy access to the beautiful towns, villages, wildlife and open forest of the New Forest National Park.
  • We loved David’s apartment. It has a lovely welcoming feel and is just as good as the photos. The rooms feel very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. It was beautifully clean and I loved the decor. The location was brilliant, so close to everything but not noisy in fact we thought it was extremely quiet & peaceful. David was so quick to respond and his recommendations were brilliant. You won’t be disappointed if you book this place.

    Fiona2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was beautiful and very clean. A great location too! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

    Anna2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend away staying in this apartment. Was a great location at the bottom of Lymington town with walking distances to shops, restaurants and pubs of course! The apartment is spacious, modern, clean and just overall a comforting place to stay, felt like a home away from home which we loved! I would definitely return here and recommend the place to so many, David’s hospitality was great! Thankyou for a lovely stay!

    Sarah2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and stylish apartment with beautiful bathroom, located very near the beautiful quay. David was quick to reply and gave us lots of great tips for where to go in the surrounding area.

    Naomi2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for a two week solo writing retreat. The apartment was perfect. Beautifully clean and very stylishly decorated. It’s in a quiet location but it’s not isolated. There are loads of great shops close by and it’s only a few minutes walk from the train station. There are some excellent cafes and restaurants nearby too. David responded very promptly and courteously to my queries. I really enjoyed my stay.

    Rachel2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend this flat. The location is perfect and the flat is beautiful and immaculate. David is such a great host as well. He offered many suggestions of nearby restaurants and places to visit. My wife and I definitely want to stay here again on our return to the New Forest.

    Justin2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is beautiful. Really well finished and very stylish. The stairs up to the apartment are really narrow so don’t bring any really big bags! Really comfortable beds with great pillows. Fabulous bathroom with a great shower Location on the cobbled quayside was idyllic and everything was very close by. Plenty of restaurants and shops within a short walk

    Karen2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! We had a lovely long weekend in the new forest at David's apartment. The decor was 10/10 - location was exceptional right on the quay and high street. Close to all the attractions of the New Forest. Didn't have a pen for the comments book in the apartment but hope this sums it up - fantastic place to stay! Thanks so much for having us - we will be returning

A delightful cottage overlooking Lymington river and the Marina. Located within easy walking distance of the Quay and nearby high street. Plenty of places to visit nearby with easy access to the beach and the forest.
Very close to the park and the seawater swimming pool. A selection of lovely pubs and eateries nearby and within easy walking distance of the cobbled quay and high street with a wide selection of shops. A short drive will take you into the forest were there are numerous enjoyable walks.
  • Simon and Roz have a lovely place, a cottage with a practical modern kitchen, bathroom and extra cloakroom toilet. Plenty of coat hanging space and heating makes it a cosy place at any time of year. We had lots of beautiful local walks during the 4 days with our dogs and the local pubs are dog friendly just a short stroll away. Thoughtful generous touches and great communication made this a five star stay.

    Elza And Nick2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our second stay in Simon and Roz’s cottage was even better than the first. It’s the perfect base for exploring The New Forest, with everything you’d need for a relaxing visit. The open fire was a real treat on colder nights. We can’t wait to stay again.

    Kev2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay in this lovely, cosy cottage. We took our small dog and didn’t need to use the car at all to walk him - we like walking out along the sea wall looking at the birds and view. The cottage is well-equipped including wood for the fire. It is in a great location, just 5 mins walk from the high street. We like to walk to the Burrough Arms for their great Sunday Carvery. The welcome basket was a nice touch. Parking can be found within 5 mins walk in either direction. The cottage is in a quiet location, but handy for everything. We look forward to staying again.

    Heather2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable and charming place to stay. Loved the basket of goodies including wine that was left for us. The open fire is a bonus when the weather is cold. Would thoroughly recommend!

    Nicky2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy, well- equipped cottage in a great location. We parked easily 5 mins away from the house. There are pubs and coffee shops a 5 min walk away. It was easy to walk out from the property to the sea wall to walk our dog. The house is very well positioned. The welcome basket was a nice touch as was the wood for the open fire. We had a great stay.

    Heather2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Simon’s place. Communication was excellent from the start with my emails being answered very quickly. The check-in procedure was straightforward and there were no issues getting in. There’s no parking directly outside but it was just a very short walk to a road where the car could be parked for free. The location of the house is excellent; just a few minutes walk to Lymington centre with lots of pubs, restaurants etc. and usefully, there’s a Tesco Express about a 10 minute walk from the house up the High Street. Paulton’s Park was a 35 minute drive (Peppa Pig World), Beaulieu National Car Museum about 20 minutes and there’s easy access to the various small villages and towns in the New Forest (Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst for example). The house itself was clean, quite spacious and well equipped with everything that you would need and all bedding, towels, bin liners, etc. were provided. The stairs were quite steep and winding and the heating was of the storage heating type which meant heat wasn’t always available when required... but these were only very minor things. Overall we had a very nice stay; we would happily stay again and recommend to others.

    Philip2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 2nd stay in the cottage & it was as lovely as we remembered. Exceptionally clean, with great welcome gifts, we couldn't fault it. Can't wait to go again.

Captain’s Retreat is a recently refurbished, self contained, luxury one bedroom cottage in the heart of Lymington. The high street is 3 mins walk away where you will find shops, restaurants, cafes and a museum. There is a very popular market on Saturdays which spreads down the entire high street. At the bottom of the high street is the stunning Lymington quay on the cobbles, a popular place to sight see over a coffee or grab a local boat trip. Nearby there are beautiful walks and a marina.
Nestled in the courtyard of our 1850’s townhouse, Captain’s Retreat is a lovely private little cottage is primarily set up for couples but the superking bed is a “zip and link” so it can be easily made into 2 singles. Therefore it is also suitable for two people who do not wish to share a bed! Clean bedding and towels will be left for you. There will be milk, biscuits, coffee, tea and the local newspaper for your arrival. There will also be tea towels, soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, laundry pods, toilet roll and cleaning supplies. Everything is provided so you can just relax and enjoy your stay. Crockery, cutlery, glass wear, cooking utensils and cooking equipment is provided. There is also a Smeg dishwasher and fridge, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster.
Lymington high street with its many, restaurants, pubs, shops is only minutes away on foot. Waitrose is a two minute walk and so is the large grass cricket ground if you need to walk the dog.
  • Cannot fault our stay at The Captain's Retreat. From the outset, Jo was quick with info and responses and the check in instructions were detailed and complete. Mark and Jo allow you to find your own space and use the facilities yourself - they are there if needed, but we found it great that we could just do our own thing! The accommodation is really well thought out - everything in it has been designed to make the most of the space and provide such a cosy location. Loved the little extras, like the bottle of wine, dog treats and personalised welcome message as well! Location is great - 10 min walk into Lymington itself and 15 min drive from Brockenhurst, Lindhurst etc. Thoughtful notes were available on how to use everything in the house and great tips on dog friendly pubs and eateries in the area. Will certainly be back!

  • We had a really lovely time in Lymington and it started as soon as we checked into this wonderful cosy cottage. The decor has a calming but quirky modern seaside vibe and there were stylish, personalised little touches throughout - both for guests and furry friends. As a one up, one down the cottage is snug but still felt bright and airy due to lots of natural light and the white washed walls. There’s a handy information pack with recommended eateries and things to do. Any queries were answered quickly and the checking in and out process was seamless. We would highly recommend and would love to return.

The Byre (old English for cowshed) is a cosy self contained unit with a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. The sitting room is light and airy with two sofas, chairs and table and well equipped small galley kitchen, with Nespresso mini coffee maker.
The Byre is comfortable and private offering flat screen TV, and Wi-fi. Gas fired central heating and good double glazing help to keep the space warm and cosy on cold days. Equally, there are two large Velux windows in the ceiling which gives a feeling of light and space. The kitchen offers combination microwave, fridge, hob, nespresso coffee machine, toaster and kettle as well as an assortment of normal kitchen utensils. Guests, who are staying a week or more can ask me to put a washing load in my own machine in my house (next door)
Lymington is a Georgian market town with three marinas for sailing on the Solent. The town is perfectly situated between the New Forest and south coast offering a wealth of activities to suit many interests. There is a notice board with cards from restaurants that other guests have used.
  • Great location, comfortable accommodation with everything you need for a lovely stay. Maddy was on hand to welcome us and make sure everything was okay. I would thoroughly recommend this place if you want to visit Lymington and the surrounding area.

  • Maddy’s place is a perfect location for a weekend away. It’s walking distance to Lymington town where we there are plenty of nice restaurants and also close to the coast. You can get into Brockenhurst for walks/cycle in the forest by just a 15 min walk to the station and a short train ride (one stop). The place was really lovely and cosy and the croissants and milk were a nice touch! Maddy was quick at responding to all of our messages and the check-in process was seamless. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend away in the new forest!
