The Barn is a delightful studio apartment, situated next to our family home in the quaint village of Burley, New Forest. Recently refurbished, the barn features an open plan living, kitchen and sleeping area with its own private entrance and small outside space with eating area and space for a BBQ. It is a truly fantastic base for you to enjoy what the national park has to offer; including walking, bike riding, horse riding, or exploring the beaches of the south coast.
Inside, the barn features a full kitchen which includes an oven, hob, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. A choice of eating areas either at the breakfast bar or at the dining area table. There is a comfortable sitting area with Smart TV, wireless internet and whole range of DVD’s, books, board games - something for every one to enjoy. Our guests can enjoy a cosy reading corner with high back chair and a overhead lamp. There is also a self-contained shower room which features a sink, toilet and freestanding shower.
The Barn is surrounded by woodland, and just 100 meters from open new forest heathland, with spectacular views reaching towards the Purbecks. This is an amazing spot for a picnic glass of wine or a beer and watch one of the best sunset views in the new forest over the moor. We have picnic blankets and hamper for our guests to enjoy as they wish. We regularly have deer and horses outside the gates grazing which our guests love to see. The village is a 15 min walk through the woods in both directions which loop around to make a really nice distance stroll, with a pub or cafe break in the middle. The village has a couple of country pubs perfect for a nice meal and drink, and a selection of quirky shops. Just 3 miles down the road is the Market Town of Ringwood with a range shops and supermarkets.
  • A perfect little countryside retreat. So many good reviews and it lives up to them all and more. Looks great in the pictures but blows you away when you arrive!

  • The Barn is a truly delightful and cozy place to stay for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The perfect place to unwind and relax...

    Sabine2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Barn had a comfortable rustic vibe and was situated nicely into the new forest area. Would consider staying again.

    Martyn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We have been looking for a nice airbnb within walking distance of both countryside and pubs, without traffic noise and close to a list of interesting things to do, and Emily's place delivers on all of these 100%. Clean, wholesome, cosy, quiet, with everything you might need for a few days in the New Forest. The wifi was great and the bed and sofa comfortable, the kitchen worked really well and the space is bigger than it looks in the photos. Having a smart TV was an added bonus for darker spring evenings. The view pictured is less than a minute's walk through trees opposite, and is absolutely stunning. There are also hiking and cycling trails accessible directly from the property. Situated about a mile down a track, you are right in the woodland, but with very quick access to the village of Burley. Emily and her family were on hand and incredibly friendly and helpful, but the space also felt private and an independent unit. With the heathland, the forest, the coast, some interesting cities and the Isle of Wight all within an easy drive, we wished we have been there for a week rather than a couple of nights and hope to be back as soon as possible.

  • We had a lovely relaxing stay, with everything we needed. We loved the little touches like hot water bottles and torches and would love to come back one day to experience it in the summer.

Our quirky studio is situated just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Freshwater Bay. It's ideal as a base for walker's, festival goers or people who just want to get away from all. With its own private courtyard you can come and go as you please.
Lots of recycled and beachcombed materials went into the building of this studio.
The locals are really friendly and most meet at freshwater bay on a Friday as the pizza van cooks beautiful stone baked pizzas. Remember to take some wine! The local mezze cafe is really popular with locals and tourists alike. There is a really old fashioned corner shop just up the road which has been open 150years! Dimbola gallery and cafe is also two minutes down the road and Tennyson house is a short walk away passing the beautiful thatched St. Agnes church.
  • We were only staying in Freshwater for one evening and Jason’s place was absolutely perfect! You have your own entrance, a great little space and your own bathroom. Everything we needed!

    Luke2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's studio was very comfortable and in a great location

    Robert2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little studio, really well built and decorated. Super cosy and has every thing you need. Genuinely fab place.

  • We loved our stay at Sea Salt Studio! Freshwater Bay is a lovely gem on the Isle of Wight, really calm and beautiful! We slept so well in the studio, it was really cosy with a beautiful bathroom and a lovely space to make our own for a short visit. We had a fun evening at the hip restaurant round the corner on our last night and enjoyed the tranquility of the place out of season! We got the ferry to Yarmouth and then cycled down to Freshwater - it was idyllic. We look forward to coming back when there’s a little less wind and a little more sun!

  • Great cosy place, I booked last minute and as there is a private and external access to the room I didn't get to meet Jason but he responded immediately and the place was waiting for me, clean and comfy, easy to find even in the night. I'd warmly recommend it.

    Elsa2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely quiet night away in the sea salt studio. Hosts were very friendly and provide a beautiful little space with lots of homely touches. Its a really nice area in freshwater and there's a cafe just around the corner for a perfect way to end the trip. Thank you very much for having us, we'd love to come back !

  • Jason's place is far better in reality than even the nice photos can show. It is cozy with lots of beautiful decor and everything you may need (dishes, cutlery, dish washing soap, a mending kit, local info, etc.). I highly recommend it! :)

  • Great location right inside the New Forest and close to pretty town of Lymington. Some lovely decorative touches in the cottage. Tight squeeze either side of the bed due to roof height but that was expected as the photos are accurate. Lovely comfy sofas. Gorgeous cream tea on arrival! 😜. We only had three nights here but would come back again for sure.

  • The Croft was a great place for my boyfriend and I to stay for a relaxing weekend away. Mel and Craig were great hosts, not only was the Croft perfectly clean, they provided thoughtful extras such as a packet of biscuits and a bottle of milk for our arrival. Mel was quick to answer any of my messages and checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed as well as accommodating an early check in for us at the start of our stay. The cabin itself has everything you could need for a weekend away - a great cabin and great hosts. Thank you Craig and Mel!

  • Such a wonderful stay at the cabin, an all-round great experience. The cabin has lovely decor and is situated in a great location which is nice and peaceful. There are so many places you can visit during your stay as well as things to do - would recommend the bike hire in Brockenhurst. Mel was super helpful during our stay and a message away incase we ever needed anything and we were welcomed with a bottle of prosecco which was really thoughtful! I would love to go back!

    Charlotte2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay here in Hordle. The place was very cosy - the bed was extremely comfy! It had all of the facilities that were needed to be able to cook there yourself. Complimentary prosecco was a nice added touch over the New Year!

    Hannah2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little cabin to stay for a weekend getaway! The place was so cute, cosy and well decorated. The cabin was well equipped and Mel provided us with lovely croissants, milk, tea and coffee. The bedding was super comfy and warm. I would say it got rather cold in the morning so i would recommend putting the heater on - otherwise, everything was great. Thank you for being super accommodating!

According to our guests - "The Coach House is the perfect base for visiting the New Forest, with its beautifully stylish decor and ideal location!" - "We loved our stay! Gorgeous setting and very spacious accommodation. Lovely touches like homemade bread & flapjacks. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a tranquil countryside getaway" - "It has honestly been one of our best AirBnB experiences, because of your hospitality and the quality of the space. What a lovely coach house. It was perfect!
Double height ceiling in the living room and the dining area in the conservatory makes this space light. Lovely views across the garden, with the occasional sighting of deer as they come to try and nibble the flower beds... A few things to note: There are bees nesting in the roof of the main house. They have never been an issue but may be a concern for you. The bedroom is a loft with the bed in the apex of the roof, there are no bannisters. Have a look at the link below for a Virtual Reality tour of the space (may have to copy and paste) https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=rSgLZ3RmdAi
So much to do in the area, have a look at https://lymington.com/ and https://www.thenewforest.co.uk/

Immaculate throughout, super easy check in/check out, lovely hand baked loaf of bread and flapjacks, as well as other complementary bits. This air bnb will certainly not disappoint. • This Air BnB was amazing! Every inch of the building was immaculate and surpassed every expectation I had. Zena left perfect instructions of how to find the place and the folder that was inside had every bit of information about the area of freshwater and the Isle of Wight. My girlfriend and I will definitely be booking again as soon as we can! It is PERFECT!

    Adam2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Zena and Phil are excellent hosts. Their venue is beautiful, their hospitality was excellent and comforting and their communication was impeccable. The barn was extremely clean and stocked with everything we needed, including logs for their log burner (which was perfect to have burning during Storm Dennis) the stay was wonderful and you could say the only thing wrong with the weekend was the weather. I highly recommend anyone to stay at Zena and Phil’s barn and will be more than likely to return myself in the future.

    Peter2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic stable conversion in the most idyllic location. Hosts are fantastic, very welcoming and on hand to assist if needed.

    Simon2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing weekend. The accommodation was as described and pictured. A great and cosy environment with lots to do locally. The owners had a list of local recommendations of where to eat. We tried a few of them and where all superb. Great communication and excellent hospitality. We will definitely be staying here again.

Ideally situated on the edge of theNew Forest secluded and surrounded by wildlife yet three minutes drive to Railway, beach and forest 5 minutes drive.Walking distance to New Milton with pubs restaurants and takeaways..Our cabin has its own hot tub, some cooking facilities if required. Tea and coffee provided. There is private secure off road parking.
Situated between Bournemouth and Southampton, on the edge of the New Forest. The cabin is tucked away up our long drive in a secluded garden with koi pond unseen from the house. Surrounded by fields we have lots of wildlife. Yet five minutes away is the railway station, shops , pubs , restaurants and take always. The local beach is also a short distance as is the open forest. Bike enthusiasts may be pleased to know that the motorbike museum is around the corner, and Beaulieu motor museum a short drive away.
I love the fact that although surrounded by fields with deer , foxes , pheasant and all kinds of birds , we are so close to all amenities. the cabin is set in a beautiful garden with coy pond and ducks.
  • Lovely place to stay. Great location. Great helpful host.

    Alex2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The location is fabulous - it takes only minutes to drive into the forest. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, with lots of comfortable touches, like blankets to cuddle under on the sofa. Obviously a highlight was the hot tub, which is kept beautifully warm. Altogether, we had a lovely time and will definitely be back!

    Ashley2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Had a wonderful trip with my partner to Lorraine's place. She was very thoughtful and welcoming. Made us feel at home! Hot tub was great! The ducks made us laugh, the wind swept us off our feet on the beach and we had some great food at the pub 3 mins drive away. Shame about the weather but we will be back again in the summer to check out the New Forest and enjoy the hot tub some more :)

    Al2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lorraines place was lovely and quiet, whilst at the same time within walking distance of lovely coastal walks, shops and restaurants. There were lots of nice touches such as fresh milk, shower gels and bath robes. The hot tub was really nice despite the cold weather - we will definitely be back when there’s more sunshine.

    Ellie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this as a break from city life or just a break from daily stressors! Gorgeous trips nearby recommended by Lorraine, and the sweetest garden which was just lovely. Hot tub was splendid and Lorraine was really helpful with all the extra bits and bobs around the place.

    Becky2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really wonderful stay here. Lorraine was incredibly friendly with lots of good tips about the local area and quick to respond to any queries. The cabin was peaceful and stylish, topped off with a great hot tub! Location was great with lots to see and do. Looking forward to booking another visit in the future to fit in all we didn’t get to do this time around.

The Hayloft is a recently converted stylish barn set within the New Forest National Park yet conveniently located within walking distance of the historic coastal town of Lymington. Finished with comfort and enjoyment at its heart it provides the setting for a luxury getaway.
The Hayloft is set on the A337 into Lymington. The getaway provides sleeping accommodation for up to 4 people with a large open plan kitchen/diner and lounge. A movie/game room supplies the perfect ingredients for a cosy night in fit with board games, games consoles and a variety of movies. The converted barn comes complete with a Jacuzzi hot tub and BBQ. The hot tub is drained and re filled after every check out, therefore we cannot guarantee that it will be up to temperature on your first night. Please also note that the use of the hot-tub cannot always be guaranteed in busy periods due to routine maintenance. We recommend to bring easy slip on shoes to get to and from the hot tub!
  • If you are a clean freak like me this is the place for you. Sometimes on AirBnB superhosts have sparkling clean reviews but Annabelle truly deserves this title. Beautifully presented accommodation as Annabelle clearly has very good taste. Communication was prompt and friendly. Lots of nice touches such as sweets in the playroom.

  • Perfect for weekends away, very clean, spacious enough for 2 couples, great host.

  • The first thing anyone needs to know is that the pictures are 100% accurate and as described, the house is really spacious and super clean. The hot tub was ready and heated on our arrival. We looked everywhere for somewhere with a private hot tub, and lots claim to be private but then you realise they are really overlooked. This one is completely different, the hot tub is fully private and has nice touches with places to hang towels (hot tub towels are provided too) From walking in, the house is full of lovely homely touches from blankets to keep you warm, to sweets in the snug. It really felt like a place you could relax. The kitchen had all we needed to cook an evening meal and brunch, which is rare for an AirBnB. Netflix was available on both TVs as well as board games, Xbox , and full TV channels. Plenty to keep you entertained if the weather is bad. Location wise we found it convenient to get to both the New Forest and the coast, we had lunch at the Haven, which was recommended in the welcome pack, lovely food but you definitely need to book in advance as it gets very busy. All in all a lovely stay, we didn’t want to leave. We are definitely going to book again later in the year. Thank you!

  • We had a fantastic stay here. Perfect for 2 couples with the 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Loved the games room.

    Maggie2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great property, stylishly furnished and plenty of space. Hot tub a bonus!

    Ben2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had three nights here with our two boys (aged 2 and 5). We had a lovely stay! The place is very nicely decorated and more than big enough. The boys loved the games room and it was easy access to both the New Forest and the IOW. The hot tub was a lovely treat at the end of the day too. It's right by a busy road but this didn't affect our enjoyment and we would definitely return again!

    Clare2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A very stylish space and great that rooms are separated by two different stair cases - ideal for 4 friends / 2 couples or a family. Although important to note it is very close to a main road. We didn’t realise before we stayed but it didn’t change much just meant you had to drive to get into town/ nearby walks. Overall a great stay and would recommend. The hot tub is a good touch too and excellent use of the space.

We are only a couple of minutes walk from a footpath which takes you across the fields and onto the famous Lymington to Keyhaven Solent Way Walk and Nature reserve. The mosaic of ponds, ditches, and lagoons on the reserve support a large number of wetland plants and animals. In winter wading birds including Black-tailed Godwit, Curlew and Lapwing feed in the flooded pastures alongside Wigeon and Brent Geese. Spring sees the arrival of migrants from the south. Wheatears appear on the shingle at Iley Point and Whitethroats sing from clumps of bramble along the Ancient Highway. In early summer look out for Linnets and Stonechats perched on Gorse bushes around the reserve. Plants flowering on the seawall include Sea Pink, Rock Samphire and Sea Campion. In late summer the ditches are full of the purple- flowered Sea Aster, often attracting Wall Brown and Painted Lady butterflies. Several species of dragonfly patrol the waterways catching insects or searching for a mate. Mammals too make a home on the reserve, Roe Deer and Hares are frequently seen around Normandy Marsh while numerous mice and voles provide food for hunting Barn Owls. ABOUT LYMINGTON Lymington is a pretty Georgian market town in the south of the New Forest, Hampshire. It is surrounded on three sides by the New Forest National Park, offering a delightful combination of wooded forest and open heathland. The town sits on the western bank of the beautiful Lymington River, leading onto the Solent, with idyllic views of the unspoilt coastline and the Isle of Wight. To the west of Lymington is a coastal nature reserve to Keyhaven and Hurst Castle, recognised as a site of Special Scientific Interest. Lymington’s town centre was predominantly built in Georgian times and has a number of very fine and attractive Georgian buildings, which lend an air of history and elegance, in particular along the High Street, with its hotels, inns, shops and other businesses. There are a number of excellent boutique shops and independent cafés, with a good choice of well-known retail outlets. The large and busy Charter Market has origins back to the 13th century and fills both sides of the High Street from Church Street to Quay Street all day every Saturday, come rain or shine. The cobbled Quay Street leads down to the Old Town Quay, still used as a base by local fishing boats. Lymington boasts a variety of restaurants for all tastes, and many excellent pubs, both in the town centre and on the outskirts, as well as further afield in many of the nearby New Forest villages A major yachting centre with three marinas; Lymington is the heart of the UK’s acknowledged Sailing Mecca and famous for its connections with Sir Ben Ainslie and other sailing legends. The open-air Sea Water Baths date from 1833 and has recently been restored, making a popular activity for locals and visitors throughout the summer months. The town also boasts a successful coastal rowing club and a host of other watersports including kayaking, powerboating and paddle-boarding. Lymington has a vibrant marine industry, from chandlers, yacht sales and race crew management to yacht service, marine engineering and components. Between Forest and Sea: a wonderful place to live - or visit! With all this in mind, it’s not surprising that Lymington is one of the “Best UK Coastal Towns in Which to Live”. Combined with accessible road and rail links north to London, west to Bournemouth and east to Southampton and beyond, as well as the car ferry service to Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, the town combines practicality with pleasure; the perfect work-life balance. There is a wealth of local sports, clubs and leisure activities. We are only 20 minutes walk into Lymington Town Centre and a short distance from the bus stop ! A short drive across the forest to Beaulieu Village , Motor Museum and Palace House. Step back in time on the banks of the Beaulieu River at the peaceful haven of Buckler's Hard. Discover what it was like to live and work in an 18th century shipbuilding village; home to the ships built for Nelson's fleet at Trafalgar. Today, the village continues to thrive, unspoilt by the passage of time; As you stroll along the nearby Woodland Walk you will discover how the local timber at Buckler's Hard was used in the 18th and 19th centuries to construct ships for the British Navy. Visit the Maritime Museum which tells the story of this unique village, bringing to life the characters who lived here at the time of Henry Adams, the Master Shipbuilder at Buckler's Hard between 1744 and 1805. Historic displays in the Labourer's and Shipwright's cottages show how the village would We are on the coast in between the cities of Bournemouth and Southampton.

  • This place is a little gem! It’s so modern and was sparkling clean. The bed was so comfy we slept brilliantly with that and all the fresh air. The extra touches with cereals, fruit, shower gel etc and washing of the crockery made us feel very well looked after albeit have our own privacy. It was a nice walk into Lymington or to the marina especially on a Saturday for the Market. It was excellent value for money and we would love to stay again.

  • Skylarks is a lovely little flat in a central but quiet location in Lymington. It’s very near the cobbled area of Quay Hill and the old quay, and just a few steps from the shops. It was an absolutely ideal base for my 3 day trip to Lymington. Car parking is a short walk away, but there was always space when I needed it. The flat has all the basics, and Tesco Metro is only a few doors down the road. You can log in to Netflix on the TV and there’s a DVD player and some DVDs. I would happily stay here again.

    Sarah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location for exploring Lymington - just a couple of minutes walk from some great pubs and cafes. Very comfy bed with a nice spacious feel in the flat. We were there over Storm Dennis so made use of the Smart TV and the suggested coastal walk that Erla told us - the New Forest being a bit flooded.

This flat is set in a grade II listed building and affords views up and down the Georgian High Street. Recently refurbished, on the 1st floor is a kitchen, bathroom and lounge (incl sofa bed) and dining area. A large double bedroom covers the top floor.
The property has been refurbished, including a new bathroom. We always strive to keep our apartment in the best condition for our guests, therefore we have made the following further improvements in 2020: New carpets, upsized to a king size bed and refreshed decor. Set out over two levels, the first floor features a fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and bright lounge (including sofa bed and dining area). There is a large double bedroom covering the top floor, with plenty of room to accommodate young children (if required) or to simply relax and enjoy the views.
LYMINGTON: Lymington is a market town steeped in history, from it's smuggling past to it's more legitimate business of the sea salt industry. As you wander down the High Street you can see how the town has evolved over the years into the yachting retreat it is today. Every Saturday this apartment has views over the market stalls that have an array of items to explore. There are also some fantastic restaurants such as The Haven for a lovely meal overlooking the Marina, to a more relaxed meal in the Kings Head (where the fish and chips are legendary) or if you are looking for a coffee, Ciao Belli serves up a lovely coffee (and some classic Italian food). A must during your stay should be a walk along the Solent Way towards Keyhaven. Starting at the marina, it follows the sea wall past Lymington marshes and wildlife reserve and offers beautiful views across the Solent to the Isle of White and the iconic Needles. The route is accessible by foot, cycle and buggy. The local park (Woodside Gardens) has tennis courts, playgrounds, rugby and football pitches. This is a lovely place to go for a picnic and the walk from the apartment to Woodside takes you past some of the historic architecture of Lymington. If you would like to get out on the water during your time in Lymington then boat tours around the Solent are available from the Quay. There are various options available depending on your preferences. Or if you prefer to stay on dry land, you can grab some fishing gear, kick back and do a spot of crabbing. THE SURROUNDING AREAS: Lymington has the New Forest on its doorstep so it is the perfect location to explore all the villages, trails, forest walks and pubs it has to offer. You also have Buckler's Hard, quaint Beaulieu and it's motor museum, Hurst Castle and Milford-on-Sea, Highcliffe Castle and Mudeford's beautiful beach, all a short journey by car or a bike ride away. There is also an excellent network of buses should you require them. DAY TRIPS: Lymington Town train station is only a short 5 minute walk from the apartment and connects to Brockenhurst in the New Forest where you can spend the day exploring the village and surrounding forest trails or hire bikes and venture further afield (cycle hire is available right next to Brockenhurst train station - maps and suggested routes are supplied). There is a ferry that departs frequently between Lymington and the Isle of Wight (Yarmouth), taking passengers and cars. Try to squeeze in a day trip over to the island to explore Yarmouth, Alum Bay, hike out to The Needles, wander around Shanklin or soak up some history at Osborne House. Lymington Pier ferry terminal is just a short train journey from Lymington Town station. If relaxation is what you have in mind, then Senspa or the spa at Chewton Glen should be on your list of things to do. There are loads of individual treatments or spa days to choose from - if you are heading to Chewton Glen then I would recommend having afternoon tea there too! For the children there is Longdown activity farm, where they can see and hold a range of cute farmyard animals!! If exploring further afield, then a great trip is to drive to the famous beaches at Sandbanks and catch the chain ferry across to Studland. From there, continue on to Corfe Castle, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove where you can experience some the the dramatic Jurassic coast. .... or you could always curl up with a good book, a glass of wine and watch the world wander by in the comfort of this lovely High Street apartment!
  • Lovely place for a quiet wknd away!!

  • Great apartment, we stayed there with our two young children (stair gate at the top of the stairs made bedtimes stress free). Location is perfect - high street shops, sea and the forest only a short distance away. Check-in was easy, parking next to apartment, delicious cakes on arrival. We loved our stay and wanted to stay longer!! Highly recommend.

    Sarah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely stay, right in the centre of town. The cupcakes and milk were a fantastic surprise on arrival! Nicola responded quickly and was really helpful with local tips and recommendations! Would stay again.

    Siobhan2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nicola & Dan's place is absolutely fantastic. Being located right on the high street, pretty much every imaginable amenity is on your doorstep including a variety of coffee shops and pubs. They left us delicious cakes when we arrived which was a very pleasant surprise. The flat is very well thought out and sparkling clean. They left us milk in the fridge (although we never made use of it) and there were utensils and cutlery which helped us as we travelled with our 2 year old son and dinners were always in. The bedroom was very comfortable and there was an additional portable heater which came in handy too. The location is great too as you are not too far from the forest walks and the water. Beautiful towns like Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst are only a few minutes away by car. We will definitely recommend this place and will consider coming back here ourselves too.

The lodge regularly gives you an up-close and personal experience with some of the local wildlife, with more permanent residents including Roe deer, owls, horses, pheasants and more. The spacious separate bathroom comes complete with waterfall shower and heated towel rail, airing cupboard and more. Situated on the west bank of the Lymington River, on the edge of the Solent, Lymington is a major yachting centre with three marinas. Deer Leap Lodge is just a 20 minute walk from the town centre with a bus stop directly outside the property. For your convenience 5 minutes walk away there are a convenience store, great takeaways, cash-point, pub, post office and petrol station. Come and stay in our stylish garden lodge offering comfortable self contained accommodation for 4. Two bedrooms, shower room, open plan sitting / dining / kitchen area & private garden. In National Park, just 1 mile from Lymington.
Cute little lodge offering comfortable & well appointed family accommodation in the New Forest National Park, just outside the Georgian market town of Lymington.
We’re in a semi rural location surrounded by footpaths and within the New Forest National Park. There are two pubs within easy walking distance although there’s no pavement outside our home. You can walk into Lymington or the open forest using the footpaths (but bring walking boots or wellies and long trousers in the summer!) We are a short drive from the beach at Milford and it only takes 3 minutes to drive into Lymington - so seaside and countryside all on our doorstep.
  • Excellent location central to all of the beautiful villages the new forest has to offer! Clean and tidy accommodation with lots of thoughtful touches added to ensure you have everything you need. So lovely to meet such friendly and welcoming hosts and we look forward to staying with you again.

  • Had a 2 night stay here and was a nice little place to base ourselves from in the New Forest. As others have said, wifi didn't work but not really a big problem for us. Lovely touches of fruit, cookies, milk etc.. Would recommend!

    Marco2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great hosts. This place was perfect for me and my dad as a base for our little trekking getaway. Simon have us tips on where to go upon check in and breakfast amenities were already provided! Only downside was that the WiFi did not work/connect so we were unable to watch movies as we had hoped in the evening but it turned out to be quite nice to plug out! Would recommend definitely and am considering returning if I come to new forest again.

  • This was a last minute booking, the hosts were really quick in getting back to us and made sure the cottage was clean and ready for our arrival, including extra touches like milk and juice in the fridge. A beautifully refurbished, private annexe in the heart of Lymington. The Hut is next to, but separate from our family home, with your own private access, parking, and garden/patio area. Comfortable living space, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, kitchen and bathroom with waterfall shower/bath, bedroom with luxurious six foot bed that can be split into twins. 5min walk to the High Street, with an array of supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants, and a 30min walk to the marinas, Yacht Club, and Sea Water Baths.
The Hut opened in October 2019 after being beautifully renovated in a beach hut/holiday home theme, with comfort and luxury as our focus. The accommodation is suitable for two guests, plus a baby/toddler. We can provide a high chair and travel cot on request, but ask you bring your own bedding for the little one. The property has two dedicated parking spaces located on the left hand side of the main house driveway, which take you to a private gated entrance with coded keypad. The gate opens to a pretty, private outdoor garden/patio area with seating for 2 people so you can enjoy your breakfast/coffee in the morning sun. The Hut is accessed by a coded key safe which is to the right of the front door. On the ground floor is the kitchen, living/dining area and bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fan assisted oven/grill, hob, full size fridge, freezer and dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and plenty of cupboard space. Also provided is crockery, cutlery, glassware, and enough cooking utensils, pots and pans to cook a full blown roast dinner if you so choose! Basic cleaning products are provided along with tea-towels, kitchen towel, cling film, foil, dishcloths, fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets, olive oil, salt and pepper. We also supply individually wrapped tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar for your use. The Hut does not have a washing machine, but if you are staying for a while and need to do some washing, there is a launderette located about 5 minutes walk away. Equally, I would be happy to put a wash on for guests for no extra charge. There is a laundry bag located in the bedroom wardrobe, so just text/email me and we can arrange this. There is a working smoke alarm in the kitchen, plus a fire extinguisher and fire blanket. Our electrical safety certificate is up to date, and all appliances and sockets are tested annually by a qualified electrician. There are no gas appliances in The Hut. The living area has an extendable dining table, with two chairs, a large, comfortable corner sofa with cosy blankets, a flat screen Smart TV with access to Netflix, and an array of board games, puzzles and books for you to enjoy. Upstairs, the bedroom is nestled in eaves of The Hut, so please be aware there is restricted headroom. There is a 6 foot Superking size Gainsborough divan bed, which can be split into twin beds on request. The bedding is all anti-allergy with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, and a selection of pillows. There are built in wardrobes containing clothes hangers, big, fluffy dressing gowns, a full length mirror and ironing board. There is a dressing table space with hairdryer, cotton pads and cotton buds provided. The Hut is heated by modern electric radiators, which are pre-programmed to provide a comfortable temperature, but you can alter this if you wish using the controller provided.
The historic Georgian market town of Lymington is set on the south coast in the beautiful New Forest National Park, between Southampton and Bournemouth. Famous for its sailing history, there are two large marinas filled with fishing boats and yachts, as well as two sailing clubs. The town’s narrow streets are lined with pretty period cottages and houses, as well as plenty of local pubs and restaurants. A good range of shops, supermarkets (Waitrose, M&S, Tesco’s), and a large choice of restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. ‪‬‬ ‪Lymington High Street has several independent shops and designer boutiques, as well as a local market held each Saturday, which dates back to the 13th century. At the bottom of the High Street, a cobbled road leads down to the Old Town Quay, which is still used by a number of commercial fishing boats. There is often a chance to buy fresh fish on the waterfront. ‬‬ ‪The New Forest National Park offers a huge range of leisure activities such as walking, horse riding, archery, golf, clay pigeon shooting, cycling, and water sports, including kayaking, canoeing and sailing.‬‬
  • A lovely stay. Beautiful accommodation in a great location, perfect for exploring. Such lovely touches throughout the accommodation. Appreciated the tea and coffee and dressing gowns. Much more than your average air b n b experience!

  • Anna’s place is beautiful: incredibly comfortable, clean, and full of thoughtful touches (eg. a fully-stocked kitchen, fluffy robes and plenty of board games to play). The only minor issue was that the shower head was a little low for us (we’re both over 6ft), but otherwise I would highly recommend a stay.

    Leyla2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Anna’s ‘Hut’. It’s a lovely clean, stylish place with a homely feel. The amenities were very good, and Anna kindly set up a high chair and travel cot for our 9 month baby to use. The location is great, walking distance to the high street and short drive to The New Forest and the coast.

  • Absolutely fabulous stay! The house was much more spacious than what we thought it would be, and was perfect for 6 adults, a baby and a dog! The house has all the amenities you need, and outside area was wonderful - we all very much enjoyed the hot tub. Peter is a very friendly host and was always on hand time to help with any questions we had too. All in all a very cozy stay and we most certainly will be returning!

  • We had a great stay at Oak House - we loved the hot tub and the Arctic hut! Bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the upstairs shower was amazing. Location is great too, Lymington is a nice town to stroll around and there are some lovely walks in the area. Two nights probably wasn't enough. The kitchen is quite small so if you're planning on cooking big meals maybe bring things that are pre-cooked that you just have to reheat. Peter was very helpful and has friendly dogs too. Would definitely stay again!

    Hannah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. Peter is a brilliant host with lots of thoughtful touches around the place. The hot tub and arctic cabin were brilliant. Plus Peter’s dogs were lovely! Looking forward to staying again. Thank you Peter!

Peter was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome, along with his gorgeous labradors. The hot tub was huge and even storm Dennis did not keep us out of it! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back

From the lounge you can see the Isle of Wight & rows of our vines in the gorgeous Hampshire countryside. The main bedroom is a comfy double bed on a mezzanine level looking out over the living area, this has an en-suite loo. In the main living area, the sofa makes into a double bed if you are more than 2! If you have a baby, we have a travel cot and a high chair which we can put in there ready for your arrival. There is a lovely large bathroom with a bath & shower on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped (no microwave I’m afraid). We have room for bikes and boats on trailers - just ask! (additional cost of £25 for boats we ask for cash on arrival for this)
We have a fantastic selection pubs and restaurant’s just walking distance along a pretty footpath. The local footpath runs around our fields, one direction takes you to Lymington the other takes you to the New Forest.

We hope you will enjoy staying in our guest suite. We want to make sure that you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the delightful town of Lymington, situated between the New Forest and the sea. There is so much to see and do in the local area - whether walks in the New Forest, visiting towns and villages such as Beaulieu and Brockenhurst or enjoying the sea and coastline. The Isle of Wight can be accessed from Lymington Ferry Terminal and makes a great day trip.
Ground floor self contained accommodation, with a small private garden. The suite contains a kitchenette: a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and sink but there are no cooking facilities. We provide tea, coffee and a welcome gift of milk and biscuits. There is a spacious shower room with towel heater, shower gel and shampoo/conditioner. The bedroom separates off from the main living area by sliding doors. In the bedroom there is a comfortable double bed and an extra single bed can be used in the main living area if required. In the living area is a fireplace with wood burner, television and comfortable seating. We have provided some books on the local area and games to play. There is ample parking on the drive or on the quiet road outside.
Our house is in a quiet residential road, close to the town centre. The harbour is within easy walking distance and Lymington has a host of restaurants, pubs and independent cafes. There are plenty of walks and cycle routes to explore, whether in the New Forest or down along the sea wall. The views here are not to be missed.

  • Gorgeous apartment, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Well equipped and comfy beds.

  • Beautifully appointed space. Really well equipped and couldn’t ask for a better location. Great to have 2 parking spaces. Lounge area is quite small but can easily spread into the open plan dining part of the room for additional seating. Spotlessly clean and bedding and towels are very luxurious. All white/ cream throughout- so probably not ideal for small children, but all done to a very high spec and felt like a real treat for a few days.

  • A beautiful, clean apartment with everything you needed for your stay.

    Lee-Ann2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is the third time that we have stayed in the Lymington Flat. Since our last stay a new shower has been installed which was very handy. The beds are most comfortable and the living area is well set up. TV and WIFI are excellent and the owner has 100's of DVD's if you feel like a night in. I Love the use of electric candles every where - it gives the flat a nice comfy homey feel. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you may need and there are plenty of spices etc. in the kitchen cupboards that you are able to use. A supply of coffee and tea is also a welcome touch. We are 100% comfortable each time we stay. As for the location in Lymington - it is fantastic. Right on the High Street but the street sounds are not a problem at all. It is extremely convenient for shopping and restaurants. Having two parking spots is also a bonus for us as we had family drop in for a visit. We spend a lot of time in the New Forest and also along the coast and the flat location works perfectly. Without a doubt we will return!

    Jane2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Upon arriving at the apartment we were initially impressed with its proximity to the High Street with all the amenities a high street has to offer such as restaurants, pubs, shops etc. On the Saturday a local market was set up all along the high street selling various items and included some local entertainment. The apartment itself was outstanding, truly 5 star! It was Very quaint, with top quality furnishings with plenty of little touches to give it a homely feel. The owner had made wonderful use of the space. The beds were comfortable and we were lucky enough to stay at a time that we had fabulous weather and so made use of the fans that are provided in each room. There are many leaflets to inform you of local attractions and also plenty of DVD’s should you find you need to stay inside of the weather was inclement (not in our case!). We couldn’t have wanted for anything more whilst we were in Lymington and had some wonderful days/evenings out and will hope to return in the not too distant future.

    Lorraine2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a comfortable & stylish flat that was sparkly clean. It had everything we needed, & more, for a great stay in Lymington. There was lovely bedding & an abundance of white fluffy towels. We had a happy movie night thanks to a fab DVD collection & a gorgeous sofa. We enjoyed the many cafes & restaurants within a minutes walk away. We’d stay again if we visited Lymington again.

    Karen2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in the flat. The location was great! Just above the high street and Lymington seemed really cute and lovely. The flat was beautifully presented, it was a really lovely cozy stay. We really enjoyed the terrace as the cafe had some live music on and it was lovely to sit out and enjoy the atmosphere

  • Absolutely perfect. The cottage was just as described, so many homely touches, immaculately clean. Lesley and Steve put in a lot of work to make us feel at home. Close to Lymington town centre for a look around the town and a nice walk along the Key haven nature reserve for the dog. Only a 20 minute drive to Lyndhurst and good walks in the New Forest. Cannot reccomend enough! Thanks again!

  • We recently spent two nights at Lesleys cottage and had a great weekend exploring the surrounding new forest. The cottage is beautiful and so cosy with a lovely log burning fireplace. It comes equipped with everything you could need for a few nights away and Lesley even left us some homemade biscuits which were much appreciated. She even offered to post a charger back to us that my husband left at the cottage with no issues. :) thanks Lesley

4 berth holiday home. Fully equipped and fitted out to a very high standard of comfort and includes colour TV, full size cooker, refrigerator, shower and flush WC. Just like a little house. There is a laundry room on site. The caravan is adjacent to our camping fields. The local pub is a 15 minute walk away down the country lane. you can walk into Lymington or Keyhaven along the sea wall, approximately 1.5miles.
Located close to the Town centre of Lymington (1 1/2) miles. Close to the Yacht Marinas. Great pub nearby called The Chequers ( 900 yards). The sea wall is very closeby.
  • I had a great time at Hurst View with my family. The accommodation was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. Good heating system so was very warm and had a powerful shower which I was quite impressed with. The second bedroom had 2 single beds and was quite small but I was on my own in that room so wasn't a problem. Good dining and sitting room space and great to have gas hob too. The site is very quiet which was lovely although you would need to drive to Lymington for shopping. I would recommend and return! Thanks Denise!

Lots of walks locally to the Chequers Inn pub, and down to the sea wall, you can walk all the way to Keyhaven. Our pup enjoyed it alot, although was alot of walking for her little legs. The caravan was clean and modern and perfect for our stay. Nice lounge area and has everything you need. We would certainly recommend :)

A great base for exploring the New Forest and an easy drive down to the glorious sandy beaches at Sandbanks and Branksome Chine. The space was clean and cosy and we were very comfortable during our stay, plenty of towels were provided for us. The kitchen is very well equipped and the space is very well laid out. At the top of the building with two flights of stairs and no lift so not suitable for someone with limited mobility . There is no parking space with the flat but one parking permit was included in the rental. There is a public car park near by and the train station was also close. Good communication with our host throughout the stay.

  • All Great. Super central location. Great communications. Late check in was not a problem. Beautiful town. Great views from Flat.

  • Perfectly located - close to food/shops with new forest & coast easily reachable by short drive. Host was very accommodating for last minute booking and easily contactable if required. Would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a short break within the new forest/south coast area. Parking was made easy by host supplied parking permit which made parking almost anywhere locally easy and free!! Hope to stay again in the near future 👍🏻

  • No 1 is a great place to stay, very central and wonderful views. It is clean and spacious and ideal for a short stay in the New Forest area.

  • Had to at the last minute and what a treat! Richard was very accommodating and made me feel welcomed. The flat is much bigger than the pictures suggest, compy bed, great location and the view of the high street is charming. Just go ahead a book it, you won't regret it.

At the bottom of the high street is the Old Quay with narrow cobbled streets and pretty cottages where you can buy fresh fish! • Lovely stay !!!

    James2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • I spent 3 nights here with my children aged 6 and 10. We had a wonderful break . The apartment is very very comfortable and is especially homely. The lounge area has a large comfy sofa and a futon. It is a very large space so room for children to play . There is an electric fire which was beautiful and was very pretty in the evening. The desk came in handy too for artwork for the children. The large dining table in the bay window has a window seat so you sit comfortably and relax. There were games and toys there too. Kitchen is well equipped and easy to use with a washing machine for those muddy, wet clothes from the forest! Upstairs the main bedroom has a very large bed that you didnt want to get out of. 3 of us slept there easily. The bathroom is also big and spacious, although if you are very tall you may prefer to bath, due to the shape of the eaves. There is parking and a courtyard outside with a bench to sit on. It is secure overnight with gates that lock so I felt especially safe seeing as I was travelling by myself with the children. The apartment is well situated with a M & S and Waitrose supermarket within a 2 minute walk. It is a 10 minute walk to the town and high street with lots of great restaurants. It is a 20 minute drive to Burley which is my favourite place in the forest. Very easy access to the whole New Forest including Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Beaulieu. Stop at the many parking places to explore. I recommend the Woodland Trail near Burley and Wilverley Plain but there are so many walks to choose from. We spent a day in Portsmouth which is 1 hour away tops and also explored the beaches towards Bournemouth, Avon Beach near Christchurch is especially lovely without the typical English seaside arcades but lovely beach huts and cafe instead. Tricia was especially welcoming and communication was great. We will definitely be back...for longer next time. Thank you Tricia

  • Great place to stay, we are a family of 5. Fantastic location for Lymington town and the New Forest. Excellent host.

    Elizabeth2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tricia’s place was really perfect for us (couple with a 10-month old baby). It’s nice, clean, convenient, there are even a travel cot + high chair + a stair gate + toys and books. I would fully recommend if you need a break and want to enjoy the sea & new forest! Tricia was always very responsive and helpful. Re some other reviews’ comments on the shower: if you start by putting it on a low temperature it works absolutely fine!

    Alix2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tricia’s place is great. It's warm, an easy walk to high street shopping, wifi and tv made for nice perks like home, full kitchen. Also, safe and secure gated complex. Great space! Thank you!

A very spacious character apartment on 2 floors with far reaching views of the island, lymington river and lymington rooftops. The outside terrace is spacious and a lovely place to dine outside. We do not have parking on site but we will provide a long stay parking permit for the duration of your stay. This can used in all NFDC car parks. There are long stay car parks very near to the apartment.
The apartment is very spacious with large windows and high ceilings and all 3 bedrooms are spacious. The pretty bathroom has a full size bath with hand held shower/mixer taps. We do not have a walk in shower.
Lymington is a beautiful Georgian market town. A short drive to a plethora of beaches.
  • A beautiful apartment full of character and charm. Very close to all amenities, the high street, sea and several great eating places. Thoroughly recommended.

    Helen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Frances was a perfect host and gave us great recommendations for dinner. The apartment is in an amazing location and walkable to all the amenities in Lymington. The car pass was a great touch and we managed to park very close. We would love to come again.

    Katherine2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment far exceeded our expectation, the location is absolutely spot on, we couldn’t have asked for more. A stones throw from shops and restaurants as well as the water front whilst still being very quiet and private in the apartment. The size is perfect, it feels more of a house with it being ok two floors so plenty of space. Frances was very helpful and accommodating, she even left us some supplies including wine for our stay, we would love to return.

    Sian2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Old traditional town house with charm. Lots of local sights and adventures. Nice restaurants on High Street.

    Christian2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a weekend at Frances’ apartment: me, my husband, our 2 yr old and two 20 yr old cousins. Frances was amazing with communication and we knew how to get there and what we would find on arrival; getting into the apartment was a piece of cake and she provided us with a parking pass - super helpful as her flat is in the heart of downtown Lymington! She also provided a baby cot. The location is perfect- the weekly Saturday market is just in front, it’s a 5 mn walk to the port, 8 mns to a playground, and the convenient High St location means everything you need is on your doorstep. It was our first time to Lymington and we found it super quaint and full of hidden gems. As Frances notes there is only one bathroom and it doesn’t have a standup shower ... we made do with no problem but for big groups or longer stays it’s something to keep in mind. For us it was just a charming detail. She also left us wine & crackers, coffee/tea/milk! Hostess with the mostess! Definitely recommend.

  • The property couldn't be better located & is a great base for exploring Lymington or for jumping on an open top bus to see the New Forest. The flat is very comfortable & well decorated, the bedrooms are all a good size & the outside terrace is a great space to have breakfast, lunch or dinner al fresco or just to sit & relax with a glass of wine. We had a great stay, Frances was a superb host & we will definitely be back.

    Jo2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two nights here over a lovely summer weekend and it was the perfect spot. Easy to locate as it is right on the high street, with shops and restaurants in easy reach. There was three nice spacious double rooms, a lovely big lounge and a kitchen with everything we needed if we wanted to cook in. The terrace was the cherry on top, a lovely place to sit put after a long day walking in the new forest. Host was lovely and attentive, giving us great recommendations for the local area and even leaving us a bottle of wine to enjoy. Would happily stay again :)

The Blue House is new to the market for summer 2019. There is also a bathroom with bathtub and a separate digital rain shower. Downstairs there is an open plan living/ dining / kitchen room with sliding doors onto the garden. The kitchen has all the mod cons including dishwasher, a nespresso machine and wine fridge. There is a TV and DVD player. The property has WiFi. • If you have small children, the house is perfect. To be honest, it’s great even if you don’t! A very short walk into town, lots of nice touches and quality throughout. Towels were better than most high end hotels, the whole place was spotless and we will definitely return.

    Charlotte2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This house was bigger than we expected. It was VERY clean and neat and the beds were super comfy.... we were able to park easily and walk into town... all round perfect stay x

    Kathryn2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly recommend the Blue House for anyone looking for a stylish and family friendly house in a lovely area. We spent a fabulous week there over Christmas and didn’t want to leave! The house is more spacious than it seemed from pictures. The playroom and outdoor space were fantastic for the kids; so many toys, and Netflix etc on the tv for relaxed evenings. Communication with Claire was faultless before and during the stay; she sent me tips for events on while we were staying, and responded to queries very quickly. She’d provided a lovely Xmas tree and tinsel dotted around, and other Christmassy touches which was lovely. Also some treats for adults and kids, and a pint of milk in the fridge, which were all very much appreciated! Lymington is a lovely little town, even in winter we enjoyed an icecream by the quay and exploring the shops. Easy access for a day trip to the Isle of Wight, too. All in all the best Airbnb experience we’ve had, thank you!

    Laurel2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very stylish, very comfortable house. We had a really nice stay here. My younger children loved all the toys in the playroom while my older son was happy watching Netflix. There’s lots to do in the surrounding area. We’d love to come back in the summer.

    Elisa2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Blue House is amazing. Clean, comfortable, thoughtful touches, fantastic playroom and outside space/toys for children. It really is home from home and perfectly situated for all fun things to do locally. We will be back!

    Angela2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • A great house, especially if you have children - the host has gone above and beyond. Not only is there the expected stuff like a dishwasher and washing / drying machine, but also a fully stocked playroom and outside play area. We had a great time here - the location is also ideal and plenty of parking.

    Dean2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The blue house is not only a stylish and thoughtfully presented retreat but perfect for families too. You don’t often find the 2 come hand in hand. Beautiful soft furnishing and artwork as well as all mod cons with the added bonus of a room full of toys and a child friendly garden. Claire was so friendly and we felt really relaxed staying there.

    Joni2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
