  • Quirky little glamping experience. My wife and I had fun ! Thanks Humphrey

  • Lovely host and amazing location well worth a visit

    Jack2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Really pleased with our stay at the cabin, cosy and warm despite the inclement weather outside!

    Alison2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabin is a lovely place to stop - perfect for a pair or solo traveller looking for an indoor place to rest. Situated at the end of a garden, it is a secluded spot that is a restful way to spend an evening. Humphrey was very accommodating - made sure I could get in, had turned the heating on, set the heated blanket (!) up to come on in the evening, provided tea, coffee, breakfast and fruit. Bed was very comfy, shower was decent, and enough space to feel cosy while still having enough space to move around. Kitchen was well equipped. The local pub was just down the road and served up good food. Highly recommend if passing through Seatown.

  • Lovely, cosy cabin in a stunning location. You can hear the waves while you're falling asleep. Fab set up with cooker and shower, thoughtful supplies (milk, tea, orange juice etc.) Absolutely beautiful location with great pub next door!

    Sophie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at this cabin, it was great to wake up to the sound of waves in the morning

    Will2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Humphrey’s place was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. It was walking distance to Golden Cap, the beach and the fabulous Anchor Inn where we ate by the fire. Humphrey’s cabin was quaint with everything that we needed for our stay. I was also thrilled to expose my 5 year old to her first ever exterior bathroom, very true to glamping. We had a wonderful stay and hope to come back one day soon!

Little Staddles is a contemporary cedar clad chalet, set in a pretty woodland, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind, with a huge cosy bed, woodburner, bath and kitchen area.
Little Staddles has been designed as a luxurious hideaway - a place where you can listen to the woodpeckers and owls and maybe spot a deer roaming in the woodland whilst soaking in the freestanding bath. Adjacent to our family home Little Staddles is the perfect retreat. Exterior Little Staddles is a separate building. It has its own access with private off road parking and a very private decked area with sun loungers, chimnea/bbq and a table. This space has been carefully landscaped with wild flowers and shrubs. The accommodation is located up steps and accessed from its balcony which has a beautiful sunny aspect. Interior There is a cosy seating area with LED television and a wood burner, including a large supply of logs. The open plan space also has a kitchen area with breakfast bar, sink, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, 2 ring gas hob and all you need to make breakfast or simple meals. There is a Bialetti espresso gas top maker, a cafetière and a lavazza milk heater and frothier to make the perfect coffee! There is a superking size bed with a sumptuous goose down duvet and mattress topper which should ensure a great nights sleep. The bathroom is indulgent, with a freestanding bath where you can relax and enjoy the woodland views and there is a very spacious walk in shower. There is also an ipod dock, Dab radio and wifi.
On our doorstep are some lovely walks into the woodlands and down to River Cottage H.Q. (which is a 30 minute walk away), or you can walk into Lyme Regis (which takes about an hour). A 10 minute drive will also have you in Lyme Regis, where you can stumble upon lovely cafes and restaurants, artisan shops and galleries, stroll along the seafront, find a fossil or two or simply sit and relax. This, the Jurassic Coastline is an area full of dramatic scenery and beautiful coastal walks. I will try and put photos of the local area and details of any local events on our (website hidden) page, Little Staddles
  • Claire is so great with communication and there for anything you need. This is probably the calmest and most relaxing Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in and just what I needed. Spotless, beautiful and cosy. Hope to return in the future. So lovely to feel like you’re out in the sticks but just a short drive from many great locations. I particularly loved the golden cap walk suggested by Claire. Such a great stay.

    Lauren2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the hideaway. Would highly recommend for a cosy break. The road up the accommodation is quite steep but is fine for a car.

    Emily2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is really a top notch Airbnb. Its stylish and super comfortable, ideal for a weekend break for 2. The place is very modern with well designed features and ameneties. Its one open plan space (bed, living and kitchen) but is not what you'd describe as a studio. The thoughtful architecture makes it feel like separate rooms. The bathroom is really special, lovely fittings and immaculately presented. Loved it! Claire is also charming and very helpful.

    Richard2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little place. Very serene surroundings and perfectly situated to explore Dorset and Devon.

    Patrick2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect hide away for 2. The apartment is compact so wonderfully cosy, but at the same time has every amenity you could need. Stunning location. Perfect for River Cottage (walkable but would only recommend it in the summer) less than 5 minutes drive away.

    Kevin2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • By far the nicest air bnb we have been too. Beautiful venue, perfect to relax and unwind. Very clean and modern with lots of little personal touches. Super comfy bed and the most amazing bathroom ever! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it highly.

    Dan2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We would stay again in a heartbeat! Absolutely gorgeous!

    Nina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Little Staddles! Perfect location and such a lovely apartment - beautifully decorated with so many nice touches. The pictures don’t do it justice, it is so modern and luxurious! We will definitely be back - it was the perfect mini break for 2! Thanks so much Claire x

One of the most popular properties in the UK on Airbnb! Great value for this amazing cosy log cabin. This property is extremely popular and has amazing reviews. Comfy with amazing views make this the perfect place to stay on holiday. Valley lodge is tucked away with lovely views of the valley and the sea beyond, secluded with a Sunny open plan living room, kitchen/dining and sofas around the wood burner. Delightful walks from the cabin and Very near Lyme Regis on the beautiful Jurassic Coast.
Coronavirus- You could quite happily self isolate here as this property is away from lots of houses and people but you are not very far away from civilisation if you need anything !!! Please be assured that due to the current situation I am making sure this property is cleaned thoroughly with AnitVirus products and every door knob , light switch and surface has been given special attention. This lovely property is completely self contained and there is only 1 confirmed case in the whole of Dorset ( 14/3/20). Whilst I appreciate the huge concern I am wanting guests to understand that you can come here to get away from it all and relax and spend some quality time in a beautiful location. As soon as you walk into the cabin, you know that there is something special about being surrounded by wood. The open plan living space works really well too. It means that whoever is cooking can still chat with friends and family while they are relaxing on the sofas. So no one is left out. And the views are amazing. The cabin is open plan living, with 2 double bedrooms a shower room and utility with washer/dryer. We will leave you some kindling and a few logs for the woodburner. The petrol station sells wood if you need more. There is Parking outside for two cars. Decking with picnic table. Enclosed garden with grass lawns. Bring your BBQ and entertain amongst these wonderful views. You can all Relax in the knowledge that your dogs and children will be safe from escaping with a good secure fence all around the property. Guests are given complete privacy. We are around, however, if there is a problem. Uplyme is very convenient. It is easy to get to from the main road and Lyme Regis is only 5 minutes by car. There is a lovely walk from the cabin down the river valley to the sea (map in the cabin). It takes about 40 minutes on foot. Other beautiful places to walk, like Golden Cap, also on the coast are not too far away. Lyme itself is charming and quirky. it is the most beautiful town and extremely popular. Lyme Regis has made the top ten places to stay by both The Times and The Guardian and we have many a famous visitor staying here and ITV’ s travel expert ‘Simon Calder’ has visited regularly and highly recommends this gorgeous town. Lyme Regis is unspoilt and with its amazing scenery and strong arty vibe it remains one of the most searched for places to stay in the UK. It has lots of independent shops and cafes too which make it a perfect place to holiday or visit. The local petrol station in Uplyme has a brilliant shop and post office if you need anything quickly. The best places to buy food are either Axminster where there is a good butcher, or Felicity's Farm shop on the way to Bridport but the farm shop in Kilmington is where us locals shop and it is a great place to buy gifts and find special food and it even has a fresh fishmongers and florist ! Superstores- Waitrose in Bridport. Tesco’s stores are in Axminster and Seaton and Lyme Regis has a smaller Tescos and Coop There is a bus from Uplyme to Lyme Regis or Axminster. The nearest mainline station is at Axminster which is about 10 minutes away. There is parking for two cars outside the log cabin. We provide bedlinen and bath towels, but not beach towels. So please bring your own if you want to spend time on the beach. Lyme has a lovely sandy area of beach, right by the pub for adults and safe for children. The cabin is wonderful and we have had some fantastic reviews. This beautiful gem is one of the most popular properties on Airbnb in the uk and our repeat guests that come back each year is testament that this place is pretty special! The area is ideal for holidays and there is lots to do or if you prefer you can do absolutely nothing except relax , read a good book with a glass of wine and just enjoy the peace and tranquility of the cabin. If you want a holiday with straight lines , minimal decor and lots of Crome then the cabin is not for you but if you like warmth, cosy , rustic surroundings , lots of nature, stunning views , good pubs and fantastic food, then this place is ideal !
There is also lots do to locally and there are some wonderful places to eat out in Lyme Regis. There is Hix's famous seafood restaurant and River cottage in Axminster are both amazing. Also there is lots of good restaurants and pubs in Lyme Regis and there is also a great Indian restaurant in Lyme , a Thai restaurant and on the sandy part of the beach there are two highly recommended pubs called The standard and The Harbour. You will find these are some great places to eat and drink whilst enjoying the stunning views which overlook the world famous cobb. Pub of the year is just down the road which is The Anchor Inn in Seatown Places for children- Lyme museum Sea world, Weymouth Crealy Adventure park ( rides , rollercoasters and a great day out) - about 25 minutes away between Sidmouth and Exeter. The donkey Sanctuary nr Sidmouth Abbotsbury Swannery Go climb - Exeter Charmouth tunnel - which is very local to here has a shooting range and a tree tops course.
  • A delightful and cosy log cabin. Very comfy bed. Wonderful area. A place to escape and relax. Great walks to Lyme Regis.

  • We had a great stay at Caroline’s place. She had left homemade bread, granola, muffins and brownies as well as butter, eggs, juice and milk in the fridge. We were looking for a cosy cottage to spend a few relaxing days reading and walking and the cottage was perfect for that. Small touches like the robes and slippers that were left were lovely. It is also a short drive to Lyme Regis for a great fish and chips, local restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again!

    Lucy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely little place, good walking, the beach is great and almost deserted. Easy drive to Lyme Regis or Seaton. The hospitality included some really nice touches that we appreciated.

  • A lovely cottage in an amazing location.

    Venetia2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect little hideaway. The cottage felt so homely. We spent a great christmas here enjoying being sat by the fire. Caroline was an excellant host; from checking in with us to all of the delicious homebaked goodies there to welcome us. This is a well maintained, well set up and well equipped cottage in a beautiful location.

    Emma2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place to stay and enjoy the beautiful Jurassic Coast. Caroline is an excellent host who made us feel very welcome. The house is very cosy and comes with the best amenities we have ever had (Sourdough, brownies, muffins. . . . . . )

Caroline provided delicious (organic) breakfast things and little treats to enjoy after a long day's walking. I can't wait to come back again, thank you for a wonderful stay!

Stunning, quiet little cottage nestled in the hills of Marshwood Vale 3 miles from the sea. Sip wine on the terrace surrounded by wildlife, stargaze from your bed or visit all the wonderful things Lyme Regis, Bridport and this area have to offer.
A delightful little cottage at the edge of a quiet village set in the Marshwood Vale. Wonderful walking through the vale, to the sea, or on the national trust land along the coast, all from your front door or a very short drive. Maps in the cottage and we are happy to help with routes. Although for two it is very spacious, with a large double bedroom, skylight above the bed, (with a blackout blind if you prefer no starlight!) large cottage kitchen diner, sitting room, wonderful bathroom with extra deep enamel bath and drenching shower. Outside you have the decked, covered terrace with masses of seating, comfy chairs and dining chairs/table, and patio heaters. The house is full of character and light, a truly restful place to be with masses to do on your doorstep. The cottage allows for a dog or two, the garden has a dog proof fence around it...unless they are high jumpers. We don't allow them in the bedroom and there is a gate to stop them.
Bonhays Barn is ideally situated for the Jurassic Coast, wonderful walking, watersports and the vibrant local towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis. Bridport with its markets (Weds/Sat), vintage section and wonderful Cafes and restaurants. Lyme Regis is famous for its beauty as a seaside town, restaurants and many festivals throughout the summer.
  • Very cute cottage, well equipped and clean with lots of thoughtful touches such as local maps, games, DVDs and a fantastic mini library! Lovely peaceful outside area and a great base for hiking.

    Sarah2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely comfortable cottage; kitchen is a joy to cook in and there’s a lovely deck to sit on and enjoy the sunshine. Quiet & peaceful place to stay!

    Ciara2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. It's very peaceful, tranquil, with beautiful views and a great location for exploring the area. Tony was very welcoming with info on local walks etc and gave us a lovely breakfast hamper. The cottage itself is warm, cosy and perfect for two people. Highly recommended.

    Jonathan & Lisa2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous discovery! This cottage is perfect for those who wish to escape the rat race and unwind completely immersed in nature. Charmouth and Lyme Regis are only a short drive away - great for fossil hunters! Sophie and Tony are excellent hosts - we were welcomed warmly and offered loads of local advice and recommendations. Whilst we knew they were on hand if we needed anything, we appreciated being left us to ourselves to relax and enjoy the space fully. The delicious welcome basket is a yummy and delightful touch, thank you! The cottage has everything one could ask for and was lovely and warm despite Storm Dennis raging. We loved waking up to bird song and cows in the fields. The view from the patio is breathtakingly beautiful - on a warmer day I could see myself sitting there for hours sketching or reading. All in all, we had a terrific stay and hope to return another time. Thank you.

    Amanda2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is an outstanding place. Everything in the description is spot on. Very warm and cosy and much more spacious than I had imagined from the pictures. The surrounding countryside is beautiful as well. Thoroughly recommend. I really did not want to leave.

    Frances2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is lovely, spacious for a couple and very cosy. The layout of the cottage allows for various activities without feeling like you’re on top of each other- for example my partner watched one of the many DVD’s they supply for their guests while I sat in the kitchen doing a puzzle. We were both able to do our own thing while still being in each other’s company and chatting from the kitchen table to the living room. The bedroom upstairs is spacious and clean, the window being in the roof allows for star gazing at night which is an added bonus! It is a 15 minute journey into town (Bridport)and a 15 minute drive into Lyme Regis. There is a pub about 2 minute drive from the cottage which is good for a cheeky pint or 2! Both Sophie and Tony were fantastic hosts, even though the cottage was closed to their house they never imposed. It was nice to be left to our own devises but they were also happy to answer any questions and give advice on what is good to do around the local area. We will definitely be back and have no doubts in recommending this as a place to stay to friends and family. Great getaway, great cottage and even better hosts!

Peaceful self-contained studio apartment adjoining owners' eco-house set in its own woodland and wild meadows with spectacular sea views from garden. Beautiful walks to Lyme (2 miles) & River Cottage (1 mile). Stunning retreat in nature. Walkers/bird-lovers/foodies paradise. 1 of 2 studios with plenty of outside space. This is the larger of the 2 with a bath instead of a shower, a bigger kitchen and distinct areas for kitchen and bedroom.
A former artist's studio, the apartment is a modern airy space within a wild, woodland setting. It has been newly decorated (and redecorated January 2017) throughout and has a particularly spacious bathroom with a large comfortable bath and views out to the woods to the south and a wild flower bank and natural spring to the west. It is perfectly located for some truly wonderful walks: the East Devon Way adjoins the property and there are several beautiful routes through the countryside to Lyme Regis, including the River Way along the River Lyme into the centre of town. It's about an hour's walk to the Cobb or to the Town Mill cluster of shops, restaurants and galleries or 10 minutes' drive. You can have a great day on the beach or walking and then come home to the seclusion of the woods and meadows. We have some of the best bird and wildlife around. You will hear owls calling in the evenings and maybe spot a badger snuffling about in the garden. Bird-feeders are positioned opposite the bedroom and bathroom windows so you can watch in comfort. We are in the process of restoring the wild meadows and have a mass of wild orchids, bluebells, foxgloves and native daffodils, depending on the time of year. There are views of Lyme Bay and the island of Portland from the top meadow where a bench is provided for your use. The room is designed mainly for 2 people but we do have a z-bed (fold-out bed) to accommodate an extra person. The main bed is a king-size with a slatted base and a soft reflex foam mattress. The bedlinen is 100% Egyptian cotton. We now have a new TV for the room and a music system with a cable to plug in your phone/ipod. There is a DVD player in the room.
This is a fantastic setting for a holiday with the gorgeous and wild beaches of East Devon and West Dorset on the doorstep, the outstanding Jurassic Coast with its National Trust walks, fossil hunting, fishing, sailing and kayaking opportunities, and a huge network of footpaths and bridleways immediately accessible from the house. It is also foodie heaven. River Cottage HQ at Park Farm is just the other side of the woods and can be reached by road or on foot. It's about 30/40 mins walk up the lane and through the woods. The more informal River Cottage Canteen is just 2 miles away in Axminster. In Lyme Regis (also 2 miles) is Mark Hix's Oyster House with knock-out views across the bay to Portland and also the Harbour Inn right on the front which does fantastic fish and has a seating area on the beach. There are lots of lovely bakeries and coffee spots, a theatre and many quirky independent shops. Lyme Regis, Axminster, Bridport and Seaton are all great little towns with their own characters.
  • A lovely, peaceful woodland spot. (We saw 17 different species of garden birds in just three days)! Perfect for a peaceful retreat away from the busy world.

    Harry2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away up a bumpy road lays a set of grand gates that open automatically on your arrival. As you drive through the gates be careful of the centre piece gate stopper, if your car is low, otherwise you'll hear the same noise we did! There was plenty of space to park our car and Chris was very kind and showed us where our accommodation was, giving us a brief explanation of how to use the facilities. He also was able to tell us how to find our way into Lyme Regis on foot with a recomendation of a great coffee shop. We enjoyed our stay....Thank you.

    Abi2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning and stylish studio, good value for money and kind hosts. We loved it and we will be back when we can. The space is bigger than it looks in photos and peaceful. We woke up and watched birds and squirrels out the window. Great time out for busy people!!

  • A superbly equipped haven in beautiful surroundings with thoughtful and generous hosts.

    Suzy2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy and comfortable hideaway up the hill from Yawl. A great location for exploring the surrounding woodlands, or a walk down to Lyme. The small kitchen has all you need and there were complimentary biscuits and milk. Recommended. Thanks Jules and Chris

    Carl2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, bright and modern. A warm welcome from beginning to end. Chris & Jules live in a beautiful part of the country :) Would stay here again!

    Lucy2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a glorious place to stay in a fabulous setting. Jules was really helpful explaining the walks and chris surpassed all expectation by helping to start my dead car. The place was so pretty and spotless and the sauna was a great extra which I took advantage of. If you were staying right in Lyme you might never discover the wonderful river lym walk that I went on to get into town following the river until it reached the Lyme mill. A truly wonderful autumn retreat!

  • The Shepherd's Hut is absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway, somewhere remote and relaxing. The hut was so cosy and comforting and packed full of lovely little goodies like chocolates and croissants. Perfect for snuggling! Also, would be great as a comfortable base to explore the beautiful local conutryside. Ei's instructions were spot on and also the info given on the surrounding area was great too :)

  • Would 100% recommend staying hefe. If you are thinking about it..do it! It provides a peaceful getaway in a beautiful location woth lots nearby to explore. The hut is super comfy and cosy. It heated up very easily with the log burning stove. We enjoyed our breakfast outside with beautiful views over the fields. We had a super stay and Ei was always very quick to respond to messages, very helpful and there were lots of thoughtful touches in the hut.

    Emily2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much Ei for your warm & welcoming hospitality. The Shepherd's Hut is so warm & cosy with everything you need. It definitely has the WOW factor. The breakfast & other goodies were very thoughtful. We loved the views, the star gazing; such a little gem in a calm & tranquil setting. We will stay longer next time! Thank you again, Lee & Chris.

  • Beautiful setting, lovely little hut. Really peaceful and nice and quiet. Ei is a lovely host with the really thoughtful little touches, the croissants were a lovely touch as was the jam! Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful get away. Defiantly will be coming back in the not so distant future!

  • We had an incredible few nights in this beautiful shepherd's hut. Ei is the best host ever! This hut is thoughtfully decorated with beautiful pictures of hares and other nature. The space has everything you need for your stay and the views from bed are amazing! We spent many hours starwatching and listening to hooting tawny owls. And woke up late as we couldn't stop birdwatching from bed in the mornings. The fire makes it toasty warm and it's the most romantic place and really private. Bed is really comfy, shower is excellent and the breakfast was perfect for relaxing in the mornings. We can't wait to return.

    Emily2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Ei was very welcoming and went the extra mile ,leaving nice surprises for us. The hut was beautiful and we already miss the local owls

    Jess2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The shepherd's cottage was everything I expected and more! I can't think of ANYTHING that was not considered in the details. There was also a cheese plate and prosecco in the refrigerator along with other snacks and drinks in addition to croissants, coffee, tea, milk etc. The cottage is very cozy with wonderful and relaxing views and beautiful areas to walk. I would definitely return on another venture to the area. Thanks, Ei!

The generous 30 sqm space has been designed to feel spacious and private, while the underfloor heating creates a warm and cosy experience. Known as The Pearl of Dorset, Lyme Regis is a charming Georgian seaside resort with both sand and pebble beaches and an ancient Cobb harbour. It is situated in Lyme Bay on the Jurassic Coast at the Devon-Dorset Border   Lyme boasts chic shops, quirky cafes, an outstanding bakery, butcher, artisan fudge and icecream makers and pizzerias, plus world-class restaurants (Mark Hix's Oyster and Fish House and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage HQ close by), alongside delightful older shops selling books, fossils and gifts. Set on the spectacular Jurassic Coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.   Culturally vibrant, Lyme has its own theatre, museums, galleries and a listed Art Deco cinema, with numerous festivals throughout the year in celebration of the local arts, culture, food, music and geology. In addition, there is a wonderful golf course, popular sailing club and the renowned boat building school. The town is noted for the fossils found in the cliffs and beaches, and this beautiful coastline has been granted World Heritage Site status because of the incredible earth science interest. It is also a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with lovely unspoilt surrounding countryside, much of it owned by the National Trust, providing stunning walks from your front door. Renowned authors who have been inspired by their time here include Jane Austen, Beatrix Potter and famously John Fowles, whose book (and subsequent film) 'The French Lieutenant's Woman' was set in Lyme Regis. More recently, Broadchurch was filmed just a few miles east in Bridport/West Bay. Lyme Regis boasts awesome scenery and a special mystique, making it the perfect resort for all seasons. With its historic harbour and iconic features, there is something for everyone. Due to its position in Lyme Bay, Lyme Regis enjoys its own micro climate that delivers warm sheltered summers and mild winters. There are fantastic shops, restaurants and pubs to explore and enjoy, not to mention the breathtaking natural scenery of the Jurassic Coast.

  • Lyme Regis was such a treat to go to. Michelle's place was close to the Cobb and walking central. I would definitely stay here again.

    Howard2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying at Michelle's. She's very kind and good about responding to questions or concerns. The apartment is in a special location, very close to the cliffs and ocean, the Lyme Regis Museum and St Michael's Church, where Mary Anning, the extraordinary 19th Century fossil hunter, is buried. This charming, ancient town is easy to explore from the apartment. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom boasts a huge tub and nice shower. Views are charming from every window. The kitchen is fine, stocked with what you're likely to need to prepare meals if you wish to eat in. The fridge had fresh milk waiting for us (but no freezer). There is also a clothes washing machine and drying rack. The apartment is both airy and warm, a very pleasant place to come home to.

  • A really lovely place to stay with a great little walk into Lyme Regis.

    Victoria2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little place in a great location, easy walk along the river into town for pubs, beach theatre etc. Sally was extremely welcoming with excellent communication about road closure etc in the days before. Would highly recommend staying here. Very quiet area , woken up by the birds singing.

  • The Hideaway is a wonderful place to getaway from the hussle and bussle of life. Everything is beautifuly presented, comfortable and sparklingly clean. The extra touches Sally and her family provide make the stay a home from home in such a peaceful and tranquil environment.

    Rachel2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sally's Hygge Hideaway was a fantastic place for a secluded weekend break. The property is tastefully decorated and everything is to a high spec. On a wet and windy weekend, the log stove was a real treat and left us more than happy to spend most of the day in this cosy retreat. Sally was a pleasure to deal with, communication was great and she went out of her way with some personal touches to greet us as well as bringing us some extra fuel for the fire on day 2 in the middle of a downpour! Would highly recommend a visit.

    Gary2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Hygge Hideaway was a lovely weekend escape to the Jurassic Coast. Impeccable design, and sparkling clean, it was perfect for a wintery weekend recharge. Very easy communication from Sally, with thoughtful meaningful touches thrown in to make it special. Brilliant to be within short walking distance (along the bridleway in the day, and along the road at night) from Lyme Regis itself, and we also enjoyed a long walk along Charmouth beach. Thank you very much!!

    Claire2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for somewhere to escape to for a couple of days, and this completely surpassed our expectations. Sally was the perfect host, and the property was incredible. The little touches meant everything, all the goodies along the way were completely unexpected and just made the stay perfect. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you again :)

    Rachel2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The hideaway is a fantastic place, everything you need is provided, spotlessly clean, lovely touches and a superb host.

Get away from it all with a stay in our wonderful beach hut. Wake up to the spectacular views and the sounds of the sea. Monmouth Beach is just next to the famous Cobb Harbour. The Beach Hut has a veranda that you can sit out on and enjoy the views. The Chalet is suitable for couples or even a small family, as it can sleep upto 4.
  • Lovely beach chalet, and a really unique opportunity to stay right on the beach and hear the waves crashing at night. Really cosy place.

    Simon2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • I spent 4 nights in the cabin, to go fossil hunting with my 10-year-old son. We had a great time. The cabin is well-equipped, close to town, which can be reached by public transport. Highly recommended.

    Koen2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy, stylish chalet in a perfect location on the beach. It was so peaceful yet only a few minutes walk from the harbour, beach and shops. The welcome wine, milk and biscuits were very much appreciated. Looking forward to staying again!

    Holly2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little beach hut. Amazing location (quiet enough to get some real peace and just enjoy the surroundings but only a 5 minute walk into lyme). Acomodation was very clean and well laid out, kitchen was small but fully functioning and well packed with everything required to cook some proper meals (not just a microwave). Bed was comfortable and quirky being up on the mezzanine area. Bathroom clean and well presented, shower was powerful. All in all this was an excellent place to stay for a midweek break and myself and partner wouldn't have changed a thing.

    Will2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely stunning place to stay. 27 monmouth beach had everything we could have wished for and more. Incredibly spacious for a beach hut, beautiful scenery and spectacular views of the stars when staying in the mezzanine. Sarah and Niel responded quickly to any queries we had and on arrival we were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine, as well as having milk tea and coffee there for us. The beach hut was cleaned to a high standard and all the equipment you needed for making meals were available. The wet room was to high standard as well as all the furnishings, and of course parking at the back was an added bonus. We have stayed at Lyme Regis many times before, however this little gem was by far the best. We can't wait to go again. Tanya and James

    Tanya2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place is just amazing!! So close to the town but it’s such a peaceful place to stay. We could hear the sea all night and it was amazing. Great hosts who left help booklets around the house. Please stay here to experience the surroundings. I can’t wait to stay here again

    Christina2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very well situated beach hut as described, with lovely views. There is a just a short walk into the centre of Lyme Regis with all its shops, restaurants and cafes.

    Jane2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Neil & Sarah’s place. Great location and smooth check-in process. Top tip - guests should check out the mezzanine at night for a great view of the clear sky. Thanks very much Neil and Sarah it was indeed the kind of getaway we are hoping for x

Lovely private annexe with own front door & parking, views of both the Jurassic coastline & Devon countryside. 50 yards from golf course & southwest coast path walk. Garden adjoins National Trust woods, property less than a mile from town & beach. Bridport & Seaton 20 mins away. Room includes en-suite shower room, TV, fridge, toaster and microwave.
The room is very private with its own lockable front door and en-suite shower room. The room is spacious and warm in the winter with lots of light. It enjoys its own parking space and undercover seated area in the garden overlooking breathtaking views of the sea and countryside.
What's not to love about Lyme Regis, it's absolutely beautiful and has so much to offer in terms of interest, walks, shopping, restaurants, bars, beaches, fossil hunting, golf etc.
  • We had a wonderful stay here. The place is spotless and spacious with a great view! We had coffee on the terrace in the mornings and it was just beautiful. Walking distance into town and is a nice walk, coming back up the hill will definitely burn off any pub lunch! :) the nicest thing was the thoughtful touches in the place itself though like the tea, milk and biscuits left for us. Michael is such a lovely host and really welcomed and looked after us. Looking forward to staying again :)

    Carmel2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Well equipped, clean and warm. About a 20 min walk into the town centre, longer to get back as up hill. A torch for the walk would be helpful on darker nights.

    karl2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a lovely few nights at Mike's place, even extending our trip another night! Mike was very welcoming, check in was easy and the apartment is great! Sea and woodland view, lovely and quiet, everything you could need including some very thoughtful touches, and only a 15 minute walk to the beach! (Longer and steeper on the way back!) We would love to stay here again and hope to return soon! Thanks Mike

    Katy2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for an amazing stay, so thoughtful with the touches in the room, outstanding cleanliness, perfect location

    Natalie2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious, clean, warm and very comfortable. Very easy to get into central Lyme Regis. Couldn’t fault it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • Mikes apartment is in a perfect location for exploring the area, nice and peaceful and very clean and comfortable

  • Mike’s accommodation is great value for money and very well appointed. It’s clean, has a microwave, fridge and cutlery etc as well as nice touches such as milk, biscuits and tea. There are great views down into Lyme (albeit very foggy when we were there most days!) and a large double room with sofa and en suite. The decor/ mattress is slightly dated but the room is clean and comfortable and overall very good value for money. Lyme is veryyyyy hilly and the accommodation is at the top of Lyme so if you walk into town be prepared for a good walk! Would definitely recommend.

My Newly renovated apartment is one of two that I have available in this gorgeous Victorian, Historical Property. No4 is a quirky flat close to the beach.
This is a light and airy flat with high ceilings and a beach themed decor.
Lyme Regis is a popular destination alive all year round. There are always things going on in the town, just a taster would be Life Boat Week, Regatta and Carnival Week, Fossil Festival, Candles on the Cobb, Lantern parade and hundreds more. We have 3 immediate beaches, the main beach by the Cobb is Sandy and as you go further away it is shingle, Monmouth Beach is mainly shingle and so is back beach behind the church but has fantastic rock pools.
  • Michelle’s flat is cute, clean, warm, well-equipped and in a great location. It was the ideal base for a short trip to Lyme Regis and we’d happily stay there again if we ever find ourselves back in town! Definitely recommend.

    Alex2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect location to enjoy Lyme Regis

    David2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely flat very close to the beach and minutes away from the main high street. That flat was very cosy and comfortable, incredibly clean and had all the things we needed. We only stayed for the weekend but would come back again for a longer stay!

    Charlotte2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Super interesting flat, ideal for a couple or 2 friends. We felt warm, cozy and comfortable during our stay. The flat was quiet and nicely furnished. Close to all you need in Lyme Regis. Nice little touches of milk and biscuits. Highly recommended.

    Tom2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Having stayed in the other of Michelle's apartments in this building, we knew we had a great space in a brilliant location. Communication was great, with directions and entry details supplied in advance. Really appreciated the tea coffee and biscuits when we arrived. The flat was lovely and warm, even when the weather took a turn for the worst! Kitchen well equipped and bathroom has an amazing shower. We will be back again!

    Nicola2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely airy clean apartment, amazing central location. Great host with a few personal touches. Would definitely stay there again if visiting the area.

  • Michelle's place is a unique cottage style home that anyone visiting the seaside would love, with quirky but beautiful touches. Michelle is prompt and makes everything easy from checking in and out to helping finding the flat. Lyme Regis is a lovely spot to visit and made all the more better by the flat!

Our cosy studio in the heart of Lyme Regis with beautiful views across Lyme Bay, offers stylish, modern living, peaceful surroundings and valuable parking. You will be perfectly placed for a walk along the Cobb, a wander around the quaint shops or a fossil finding mission! With a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom this can be your comfortable home from home to enjoy all that Lyme has to offer.
The studio, known as Little Lodge, is a quaint place to stay full of charm and character. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need during your stay including fridge, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, microwave and utensils. There is an island with breakfast bar and two stools as well as outside table and chairs if the weather is nice. The sofa bed is comfortable for two and there is still ample room to move around when in use. The studio has a TV and wifi. The bathroom has a large waterfall shower, basin and toilet. We will provide all linen and towels for our guests. Both sets of oak doors open onto the outdoor area where there is a beautiful view of Lyme Bay. Please also enjoy the pond area and the lower garden.
Lyme Regis is a quintessential English sea side town with a lot to offer. Situated on the famous Jurassic coast, Lyme Regis and the surrounding areas are full of places to explore. The Little Lodge is just a two minute walk down the hill to beautiful high street full of many independent shops, restaurants and pubs. There is a Tesco Express, Co-op, post office and cash points here too. Lyme Regis offers a variety when it comes to food, from Thai and Indian to traditional Dorset cream teas. Lyme is also host to award winning chef Mark Hix's fish restaurant in Langmoor gardens with a killer view of the harbour. During the summer months, Lyme Regis hosts a Regatta and Lifeboat week, where they raise money for the RNLI, since we have a lifeboat launch station in the harbour, and also a carnival week. There are many activities for all ages and there is such a warm atmosphere. Every August the Red Arrows visit the town to put on an amazing show over the most beautiful of backdrops. The town hosts many events outside of the summer including duck races, fireworks, bonfires on the beach, fossil, folk and food festivals, 'Guitars on the Beach' and Candles on the Cobb. There are many things to do here in Lyme Regis including mackerel fishing, kayaking, sailing, diving, crab fishing, mini golf, pottery painting, fossil hunting and walking. If you are into walking there are many walks that you can do right from the doorstep. Whilst searching for fossils you can walk to the neighbouring town of Charmouth and get the bus back to town. Or you can do the same thing and walk the other way along the Undercliff walk to Seaton. If you don't mind going a little further a field, you can walk on the National Trust trail to the top of Golden Cap (visible from the lodge) and see amazing 360 views of Lyme Bay. A few miles on from Golden Cap is the town of Bridport that offers two weekly markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The market is mostly antiques but many local food, clothing and home wear traders appear too.
  • Beautiful, well designed and well equipped cabin in a good location. Cosy sofa bed. Great to have a view of the sea and a parking space!

  • Thank you Sam for letting us stay in your lovely flat over Christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay, the views were amazing and your flat was extremely cosy. We had a fabulous Christmas dinner at The Royal Lion Hotel and other lovely meals at The Cobb Arms, The Royal Standard and The Lyme Company. We had everything that we needed for our stay. Thanks again.

  • We were looking for the perfect seaside location before the madness of Christmas, and we found it. Perfectly situated next to the harbour, close to the beach and just a short walk to the town. Great pub about 10 metres away (perfect as the weather was horrendous our first night!). The apartment is very stylish and comfortable, really lovely finishing touches. Sam is great- quick communication and very much on it! The steps to the apartment are quite steep as a warning and the parking is close, but up a hill (just a warning if you have bad knees!). All in all, 100% recommend and already planning to go back!

    Millicent2019-12-22T00:00:00Z

Lyme Regis is a lovely old seaside town mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Built on two sides of a valley, on the world heritage Jurassic coast it is famous for its fossils and the fossil hunter Many Anning. The beach is sheltered by the Cob made famous in The French Lieutenant Woman and is part pebbles and part golden sand.Marine Parade which runs along the back of the beach is perfect for a gentle stroll, or for getting from one part of the beach to another. A minutes walk down Church street is the Marine Theatre and the Tourist Information centre. There are numerous cafes and restaurants in Lyme Regis, but if you want to go really up market and eat some wonderful fish,go to HIX Oyster and Fish House. Many of my guests also visit River Cottage near Axminster Or why not go out in one of the boats for hire, either to go mackerel fishing or to see the beautiful Jurassic Coast from the sea. You can visit the Museum which has a collection of rare fossils and an exhibition of the life of Mary Anning, the famous Lyme Regis fossil collector. Or visit Dinosaurland and Museum which also has rare local fossils. You could also visit The Marine Aquarium situated on the end of The Cobb where you can see a collection of local marine species. The museum also runs fossil walks, as does the fossil shop and museum on Charmouth Beach. There are other beaches you can visit including Charmouth Beach with its fossil Museum and shop. Seatown a beautiful dog friendly country beach with The Anchor right on the shore. Eype Beach a wild and dog friendly beach,West Bay a quirky little seaside resort where Broadchurch was filmed and Hive Beach just behond Burton Bradstock with its award winning Hive Beach cafe and restaurant. There are numerous places to explore around Lyme Regis, including Bridport, with its vibrant Wednesday and Saturday street market, Arts Centre, Museum and Antique Centre. Bridport also has four supermarkets including a Waitrose and a Lidle. However your nearest large supermarket is Tescos in Axminster. There is also a smaller Tesco's and a Co Op in Broad street in Lyme Regis. In Bridport there are numerous small independent shops cafes and restaurants and is home to a wonderful hat shop, Snooks, which started the Bridport hat festival, which takes place on the first weekend in September. There is also a Boots, Superdrug, Waterstones and numerous charitie shops, where l seem to buy most of my clothes! Bridport has a great leisure centre with a 25 metre swimming pool- where l swim a kilometre every morning- a large baby pool and a well equipped fitness suite. For those of you who are passionate gardeners, as I am, there is Groves Garden Centre,a wonderful place , off the big roundabout coming into Bridport. Then there is the beautiful Devon and Dorset countyside to explore. With its rolling hills, patchwork of small fields and the coastal footpath with breathtakingly beautiful views of the Jurasic coast. There is a wonderful adventure play ground with a seperate area for little children and a playing field behind the house which is accessed from Lym Close and can be seen from the back bedroom. If it's a wet day and you want to do something with all the family, why not visit the Jurassic fun park in The Freshwater caravan park . lt has an indoor swimming pool with slide and baby pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Open from 10am to 6pm everyday it costs just £5.80 for adults and £3.40 for children. lts about 15 miles from Lyme Regis and is on the road from Bridport to Burton Bradstock. l hope you enjoy your stay in Lyme Regis
  • We loved our stay at Tess’s house. The place is so welcoming and homely and Tess has thought of everything you might need. Our 3 year loved exploring and was sad when we had to leave. In a great location with the beach and town minutes away and we found the parking space next to the house really convenient. Highly recommended, We’ll definitely be back!

  • Tess is a fab host. We arrived and Tess was there to meet us and gave us a tour of the property. Tess has everything at the property to make sure your stay is comfortable and thinks of everything we would need, very thoughtful. The house was very clean and tidy and it was also great to park the car outside the property. The homemade scones made by Tess were very yummy and a great touch after our long journey. I would highly recommend this house and looking forward to returning. Lyme is also a beautiful sea side town and only minutes walk from the house with loads of restaurants, bars and shops. Perfect holiday location.

    Shanice2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful cosy cottage, within a very easy stroll to the centre of town. A fantastic welcome from Tess, from helpful communication before we arrived, to a well stocked condiment cupboard & fresh home made scones.

    Amy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, would highly recommend. Fantastic house, location and host. Parking was a real bonus as well as the kind thoughtful touches - bread, milk, bacon and fresh scones on arrival!

    Hannah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect place to stay when visiting Lyme. Tess goes above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable in every aspect of her house. Location is fabulous too - a short walk to the town and the seafront and a parking space for the car (which you won't need)!

    Della2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in the hearth of Lyme Regis, leaving the car parked you are minutes away from the beach and restaurants. If you love fish, you will be in heaven here.

    Mary2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • It's our 5th stay here so that surely says everything. Already re-booked too!

    Catherine2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • It really is a delightful home. It is not large but 4 adults and a dog fitted in beautifully and we loved it.

This is a bright, tastefully decorated, private annex with self catering facilities. The living area is well planned to make use of the space; there is a two ring hob and a convection oven, a fridge freezer, breakfast bar and spacious, comfortable sofa with large flat screen TV. The bedroom has a comfy king size bed and plenty of storage with en-suite bathroom and powerful shower over the bath. Private, enclosed area catches evening sun. A lovely 10-15 minute walk into Lyme along the river.
An easy walk to Lyme and the beach and a short drive to River Cottage, this bright and airy annex has everything you need to enjoy this beautiful area. You have your own access and very private, sunny outside space. Our house is attached to the annex and so I'm generally on hand if you need anything but I also appreciate the need for privacy. You will probably hear some family sounds particularly when we are in the kitchen, which joins the annex by a single locked door, and one bedroom partly above the annex lounge. This doesn't seem to be disruptive and we try to be considerate. This space is very comfortable for two people and has been known to fit a travel cot in the bedroom. I am happy to accommodate young children either in the same bed or using your own travel beds.
Colway Lane is a lovely, peaceful part of Lyme Regis. The walk to the town and beaches is very pleasant, along the river and feels safe at night as it is street lit all the way. It can be very hard to park in the town particularly in the summer and many people park their cars by the river and walk into town from Colway Lane as it is such a nice walk. The area is riddled with footpaths and there is a folder in the annex giving details of some beautiful walks that you can do from the front door or further afield on the South West coast path exploring the wonderful Jurassic Coast.
  • A lovely furnished flat to stay in - close to local sights and easy parking. Spotless and plush!

  • Small and cosy, but ideal for a short stay in Lyme Regis. Sara had some great walks written out and there was everything we needed to cook for ourselves. Super clean and about a 10-15 min walk into the town. Would definitely recommend!

Our big, bright and spacious room with views of the garden is in our family home. It has its own entrance way, which you get to by walking down external stairs into our garden, so that you can come and go as you please. We are a 15 to 20 minute walk into Lyme Regis town centre, the historic Cobb and beaches. We are very relaxed hosts and we will accommodate late and early check in times when we can. Use our guest space as if it were your own and enjoy our tranquil garden too!
No. 12 B & B is a luxury en-suite room for a very comfortable stay in the wonderful town of Lyme Regis. Locally made muesli, fruit, luxury yogurt and refreshments are available for breakfast in your room for you to enjoy at your leisure. There's no need to rush! If you are visiting for business our BT Infinity broadband will ensure that you can relax and work at the same time. There is space for you to work comfortably. Lyme offers something for everyone. Walking along the Jurassic Coastal Path, art exhibitions in the Town Mill Gallery and individual shops to explore, and of course the opportunity to taste some fine, locally sourced food from independent Cafes. The Marine Theatre always has a full programme of music, plays and shows to enjoy and many of the local pubs have live music every weekend. You cannot leave Lyme Regis without walking around the historic Cobb at the harbour, made famous and written about by John Fowles in The French Lieutenant's Woman. A very easy visit is to River Cottage Canteen in Axminster which is open all day for coffee and cake, lunch and dinner. Or plan a visit to River Cottage HQ which is just 3 miles away from us. A lovely walk through Trinity Hill Woods will get you there in under an hour ready for your course or dining experience! Walk on the South West Coastal footpath and enjoy fossil hunting on Lyme Regis and Charmouth beaches. Most of the ammonites found are expected to be between a few millimetres and about five or six inches, but some can be up to a couple of feet in size. Search for your own!
No 12 B & b is in a quiet modern new development. We walk to the town centre usually by the River Lym which is a beautiful flat walk. Our Lyme Regis town gardens and The Cobb are our favourite places to go and we always manage a stop at The Harbour Inn or the Beach House Cafe on the seafront for refreshments. A boat trip in the harbour is a fantastic way to get a different view of Lyme Regis. If it's a rainy day there's still lots to do, you can visit the Town Mill Gallery to see one of the many exhibitions or just enjoy the shops and the lovely cafes. Walking back to our house from the beach and town centre is up hill some of the way but you can have coffee or drinks at The Mariners Hotel, which is a good half way stopping point!
  • Diane was a great host and the room was fantastic! Plenty of recommendations for us and just generally really friendly. Really chilled night away. We will be back. Thanks again

    Oliver2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay with Diane. Lovely touches around the room, particularly with the range on offer for breakfast!

    Gary2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Diane and Pete really were super hosts! The room was everything we’d hoped for and more. All in all we have no hesitation in recommending this place.

    James2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous place! Fabulous host!! The room and bathroom are lovely, and the DIY breakfast was just amazing! We were able to have breakfast at the time of our choice and it was absolutely lovely, with so many different options available. Diane's communication was great, giving us directions and recommendations of places to eat. The bed was very comfortable and the lovely shower was very welcomed after a day of travelling around. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

    Marie2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed only a couple of nights in Diane's place and wished we could have stayed longer. Everything was great hosts, room, bed, shower and breakfast. Nothing to fault.

    Sarah2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to be! We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful B&B. Diane was a very lovely and caring host. The room was exactly as shown on the pictures and even nicer! Everything was clean and in awesome condition. Fanastic! Thanks a lot!

    Katharina2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Diane and Pete's Airbnb was extremely comfortable and in a quiet area only a short distance from the main Lyme Regis attractions. Extra attention was paid to providing fresh fruit (much appreciated), for breakfast and a very comfortable bed and room, which along with the bathroom was spotlessly clean. We can certainly recommend their accommodation to anyone looking in this area.

    Carrin2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Diane is an excellent host and provides everything needed for a very comfortable stay with lovely touches like fresh fruit and goodies in the in- room fridge. Parking was easy with a large space available solely for guests use. The bed was particularly comfortable and the lovely en-suite immaculate. We would definitely recommend this B and B.

Dordolo is only a 15/20 minute walk into the centre of Lyme Regis and there is a regular bus service into town. Famed for its location on the stunning Jurassic Coast, Lyme Regis is an outstanding location for fossil hunting, beach combing, walking and dining. Take a walk along the Cobb where the French Lieutenant's Woman was filmed. For a real treat go to River Cottage HQ which is located nearby, but needs to be booked in advance.
Dordolo is located within a peaceful cul-de-sac, with free parking. Located on the top floor, the guest accommodation has an en-suite shower, tea/coffee making facilities, free wifi access, and a TV with DVD player, plus a selection of DVDs. Delicious breakfast of muesli/granola, fruit, yogurt, and bread /toast can be taken at your leisure in the private dining room or in the garden on a hot, sunny day.

My place is a stylish cottage in the centre of town, a couple of minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and beaches. It is spacious and generously equipped with Wi-Fi, central heating and a private courtyard with parking. The cottage has four bedrooms, two with double beds and two with twin beds and has been awarded a 4 Star Gold Award by Quality in Tourism. My place is good for family holidays with kids, group get-togethers, business travellers, romantic couple holidays and is dog friendly.
  • Great place to stay, plenty of space. Highly recommended!

  • We really recommend this cottage. Great location, lovely interior, very cozy and sociable space. Lots of amenities inside for families with children or dogs. Tracey was a very warm, welcoming, thoughtful, host with some great tips for the area and fossil hunting! We hope we can come back.

  • Lovely house and great communication with Tracey. Great location within Lyme Regis

    Jay2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Tracey's lovely house for a long weekend during Storm Dennis. The weather was dreadful, the house was perfect! We battled with wind and rain and dragged several moody teenagers out for bracing, wild and wet walks and then came back to the toastiest house possible to dry off and warm up. The kids loved having Netflix to watch. Super comfy beds too. Great location, just a few short steps to everywhere we wanted to go, we didn't need to drive all weekend. Tracey was a wonderful host who met us within minutes of our arrival. We hope to come back (but without the storm next time please!)

    Genevieve2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

  • A great space and very comfy beds

    Duncan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a relaxing stay in Lyme Regis Tracey’s cottage is fantastic! There were 9 people adults and teenagers for a weekend. The cottage has everything you could need and it was lovely that the teens ended up playing cards and doing puzzles rather than on their phones. I couldn’t recommend this more highly. Great communication, fabulous host.

    Samantha2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Tracey was such a wonderful host! We arrived and everything was sparkling clean. The kitchen was better equipped than my own kitchen! The living space was cosy and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay and Darren responded to us very quickly and was friendly. If anything, could do with a better corkscrew ;-) but this place has everything you need and we cooked our own fry up easily. Many thanks.

Hot shower, a comfy bed, kitchen space, table and chairs, sofa, TV. I was snug as a bug after two great long walks along the coast. Darren couldn't have been more welcoming. Would absolutely recommend this gem to anyone looking for a bolthole by the sea. I hope to return.

  • This carefully thought out space is perfect for a stay by the sea! It is bright, cheerful, modern and cosy and has everything you need for your stay. There are lovely soft towels and good bedding with a comfortable bed. The place sparkles too! There’s an outside seating area, with a sea view, where you can eat in the summer and in 10 minutes you can be in the centre of Lyme Regis. We parked right outside which is very useful. Darren and Sarah were always quick to communicate which we appreciated as we’d travelled a long way to get there. We really enjoyed our time there!

A completely self contained, en-suite room with private entrance and kitchenette focusing on cleanliness and comfort. Can be made up as a king size or twin beds. Just three minutes walk from Lyme Regis town centre shops, restaurants, theatre, museum and beach. Lyme Regis is a World Heritage Site famous for it's geology and great fossil hunting. The dedicated boot room is perfect for you to drop off your muddy back pack and wellies. Your host is the museum geologist and fossil walk guide.
We have a self contained on-suite shower room with private entrance, boot room and small kitchenette situated within minutes of the Town centre on the main street. The room has a sturdy wooden combi bed which we will make up for you as a single, twins or super king size. Our focus is on offering a really comfortable and clean base for your exploration of the geology and beauty of the Dorset coast. The room has a TV with access to Netflix. The local Free House pub is just two doors away and often has great live music.
Lyme Regis is not only a beautiful place to visit but is also a designated World Heritage Site because of the incredible geology of the Jurassic Coast.
  • Brilliant accommodation in a great location. Everything you need for a base in Lyme Regis.

  • Paddy and Rikey were fantastic hosts and really made our trip to Lyme Regis a special one. The room is very cute with a local fossil theme (since Paddy is the museum geologist) even supplying the guests with postcards of fossils found in the area. There is a small, and efficient kitchen space and bathroom. Everything was perfect for us and perfect for going fossil hunting. The space was well planned out with a little entrance room for sandy boots and wet coats. It was quiet at night and the bed was quite cosy and we slept very well. They even supplied us with some essential food and shower items. Thank you both for such an incredible stay! P.s. I’d really recommend going on one of the fossil walks led by Paddy. You’ll be sure to find some treasures!

  • A homely and cosy space. Rikey and Paddy have been incredibly efficient with the space and the resources are great too. It would be a pleasure to use this space again.

34 Monmouth Beach lies to the west of the historic Cobb in Lyme Regis. It is a beautifully finished and stylishly furnished wooden chalet right on the beach. Enjoy uninterrupted sea views from the generous wooden deck at the front of the chalet. There is parking behind the chalet and a ramped access. Our chalet is great for couples, small families, friends; it can sleep 4. Our change over days are Friday and Monday (though this listing may state Fridays only), check in 4pm, check out 10am.
    • Sleeps two comfortably and 2 children. • Small, approx 13.5 sq m, but well designed to maximize space. • Well equipped small kitchen. • Shower room with underfloor heating. • Comfortable futon sofa-bed, futon mattresses on the mezzanine and plenty of well designed storage space. • Wooden decked terrace right on the beach, about 4.5 sq m, some beach chairs are provided. • Maps of walks in the chalet to explore and outside seating provided for guests, favourite games and books. • Parking right behind the chalet for one car and ramped access to the front door. • Within easy reach of Lyme Regis cafes, restaurants and pubs. • Prices start at £66 a night off peak. • Two electric fan heater provided, though the space is small and warms up quickly. • Futon sofabed bedlinen is provided, but please bring your own shower towels and any bedlinen / sleeping bags for the two single futon mattresses on the mezzanine. Please note: our mezzanine level is not standing height; children love it, but please bear this in mind when booking. The stairs are steep and some edges of the mezzanine are open with wire roped barriers only. Again, please consider this when booking as this area isn't suitable for children under 6.
Lyme itself offers a wonderful range of places to explore for food, drink and things to do; The Town Mill Bakery is a favourite for great breakfasts and coffee and other delights can be found from the Hix Oyster and Fish House, to fish and chips from the Lyme Fish Bar or the Fisherman's wife near the Cobb and many other great pubs and restaurants in between. Mackerel fishing and boat trips around Lyme Bay can be booked straight from the fishermen in the harbour. Beautiful walks can be found up through the Undercliff, described atmospherically in John Fowles' writing, or the along the ancient Cobb, featured in Jane Austen's Persuasion. Lyme has lovely bookshops and interesting streets to explore that meander around the town, in places following the River Lym towards the sea. To the east are the long established and inventive Marine Theatre, the fabulous Museum and more fossiling beaches. Outside of Lyme, Axminster boasts the River Cottage Canteen and nearby the River Cottage HQ and Bridport which offers it's own eclectic and vibrant mix of vintage shops, galleries and market finds. Charmouth, Eype and Westbay too have their own highlights; beach walks and more food choices, The Watch House at Westbay being a favourite.
  • This was an amazing place, loved every minute of it, from waking up and watching everyone walk by whilst having a coffee to going to sleep listening to the sea. It’s a short walk into Lyme Regis Centre, and we also done the costal path walk to charmouth for some fossil hunting. Would 100% recommend to anyone!

  • Simply stunning

    Stephen2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great peaceful stay at this lovely place. Everything you needed was there. Some nice touches such as milk and a bottle of wine were waiting in the fridge. Lyme Regis is perfect to regain some much needed headspace

    Steve2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Rebeca & Willy for such a wonderful stay. A beautiful, stylish beach house which made us feel completely at home. It has everything you need. Communication and hospitality was above average - Willy drove nearly 2 hours to come and sort the light switch out immediately. Clean, quality facilities and decor in every way, everything has been thought through with meticulous detail. 7- 10 mins walk from centre of town and perfect being away from the hustle and bustle but near enough if you're peckish and don't fancy cooking in the perfect kitchen. Beds comfortable, shower warm and cosy. You will want to buy it! Glorious! Thank you and see you again.

    Sarah2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic accommodation in beautiful location, couldn't as for more.

    Colin2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a perfect space for a weekend getaway. Everything you could need in a cleverly thought out little space. You just can’t beat waking up right in the beach to the sound of the waves. The fact that it’s the last overnight chalet on the row makes it feel all the more secluded. Of course people walk by during the day and peak in but you get used to that and can’t help feeling really quite lucky to be there. The neighbours are all very friendly. The place is immaculate and really every detail has been thought of. This was our second stay and we intend to return soon. :)

    Amanda2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay in the cabin. We love the place! From the fully equipped kitchen, and spacious upstairs bed area (bigger than a double bed size). What makes it stand out is waking up to a cuppa on the deck looking at the sea. We had morning visits from a little robin who would wait till you give him some bread. 100% recommend.

    Kerry2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely location and amazing to open the curtains to a view of the sea each morning and coffee on the deck looking out across the sparkly sea with the historic Cobb and Golden Cap in one direction and the Undercliffs in the other. Lovely to be able to enjoy this beautifully simple and thoughtfully planned space - love the copper piping and retro lamps and to have direct access to the beach literally on your doorstep. Perfect. xx

Larx Nest is a lovely private annexe in Lyme Regis, with it’s own private entrance, private outside space and off road parking, situated in a quiet residential area. A pleasant 15 minute riverside walk to the beach and town, with it’s many shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a public footpath adjacent and the South West Coast Path is less than a 10 minute walk away.
Larx Nest is a newly converted self contained annexe, separate from our house, with it’s own entrance, and self check-in with key safe. There is ample parking on the drive and patio doors to a private, sunny outside space. The accommodation consists of a main studio with double bed, 2 poang chairs, smart TV, small unit with kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery and glasses. There is also a small fridge. Whilst there are no cooking facilities, you are most welcome to bring back a takeaway! There is also a hairdryer, free WiFi, USB socket, full length mirror and hooks/hangers for clothes. The en-suite shower room has towels provided. Outside is a peaceful private decked area exclusively for you, with a table and 2 chairs.
  • Spotlessly clean and easy to find. There’s a nice river walk down into the town. I recommend a visit to Lyme Regis Brewery and the pizza at Pocco Pizza is delicious!

Delia welcomes you to a newly built, very stylish, warm, wood cabin that beautifully compliments surrounding tranquil countryside. Complimentary breakfast cereals, oats, teas, coffees, milk. Patio, king bedroom, shower & sitting room with comfortable sofa bed for 2 children or 1 adult. Travel cot, bedding, highchair if needed. Leotie's ideal for couples, families, those who enjoy walking & being in countryside or seaside. Lyme has many attractions for all ages, year round.
A breakfast hamper with cereals, oats, milk, orange juice, teas and coffee is provided. A no-smoking policy applies. Patio table and chairs to enjoy alfresco breakfast.
This is a very quiet neighbourhood, within easy reach of the town and harbour.
  • What an amazing find! From the moment we booked Leotie, Delia was quick to respond and answered questions promptly. On arrival we were greeted by an incredibly kind and friendly host, who instantly made us feel welcome. She showed us around, explained the basics and then left us to enjoy the peace and comfort! The cabin is SO comfortable, cosy and warm; Delia very kindly provided milk, tea, coffee, cereals, butter and jam which we enjoyed at breakfast. Leotie is spotlessly clean and very private; no problem with parking directly outside the main property. Great position for trips around the area and certainly within walking distance to the town, although we chose to drive as the weather was dodgy and it was also very dark! We will not hesitate to recommend Leotie and Delia to family and friends. Thanks Delia for a great break.

  • We had a lovely stay, would highly recommend

    Ed2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Delia is an absolute joy. She gave us such a warm and bubby welcome, really made us feel at home. Her lodge is lovely and cosy and had everything we needed for a relaxing night. There is an impressive weeping willow tree hanging over the lovely little garden and she told us about the owls which chill there. The lodge and Delia together makes such a magical stay. In the morning, we took a absolutely lovely walk into Lyme Regis. Not far from Delia's house is a river walk taking you down to Lyme Regis seafront, which we throughly enjoyed. We would love to return to Delia's lodge. Thank you. :)

  • Stayed here as we were going to River Cottage on the Saturday night. Delia was a super-friendly host and also very easy to get hold of and provided clear instructions for arrival and parking. Room was amazingly clean and the location was perfect for us as we spent the afternoon at the coast in Lyme Regis which was a 5 minute drive away then River Cottage for our evening meal which was a 15 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we ever came back to the area!

    Ben2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Delia welcomed us to the property with a great big cheerful smile. She made sure we were settled and happy, before leaving us to enjoy Lyme Regis. The property was so cozy and clean. Delia even set up a travel cot for our daughter. The bed was better than my own and the bathromm facilities were spotless. A nice touch to have tea, coffee and breakfast cereals laid out for us too. Highly recommended

    Adam2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional in every way! Delia offers a wonderfully cosy retreat with first class facilities. We are really pleased to have stumbled on this gem of a place and can’t recommend highly enough! Thank you. 😃😃
