We hope you enjoy our space. We provide you with bagels from our local store or homemade with cream cheese. There is private entrance to a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom all private. We have area that if you need to park a truck and trailer for enjoying our mountains. We own a kennel on the property. This is a great place to stay and have your pet close for a minimal fee to go for a walk with you. We request that your pets stay in the kennel area to help keep cleaning costs down.
Please remember you are staying in our home not a hotel. We live on a farm with fields surrounding us.We have a farm house appeal and are secluded even from our small town. We are off the beaten path on a dirt lane. The view of the stars from our trampoline at night can't be beat. Our day view is just as amazing with fields, wildlife, and surrounding mountains.
The town we live in is very small so if you are coming in later at night you might plan on grabbing something to eat before you get to town. The restaurants in the area are closed by 9. There are a couple of places we would recommend in neighboring towns that are open until 8-8:30. The grocery store and the gas stations are closed by 9 also. The scenery within a 60 mile radius will take your breath away. You can hike in or near Capitol Reef with the red rocks, lizards and cactus or you can hike into an alpine lake high on Boulder Mountain to enjoy some trout fishing. There is also the beauty of Fish Lake National forest with the Pando clone, fishing, and hiking. A short trip will take you to Bryce Canyon in all it's beauty.
  • Jim and Toni were excellent hosts that made us feel welcome in Loa, UT! They were happy to help with everything we needed and more! Very quick to respond to any questions we had as well. Their place is in a super mellow part of Utah and is a great stay especially if you are visiting Capitol Reef.

  • Great place to stay when traveling. Check in was very easy and everything was exactly as described.

  • A quiet retreat if passing through town. The family is so kind and made their space feel like our home. 10/10

  • Highly recommend! The farm property is so charming and has great views of the tiny town Loa. Toni and Jim are fabulous hosts and the suite is complete with all the items you’ll need. Roku, giant tub, electric fireplace in bedroom, easy check in, comfortable and very clean.

    Heather2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations were amazing. Very easy to access our room. We had no issues finding the place or getting in our room. The farm is adorable with the cutest animals.

    Amber2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Affordable place tucked just outside of town. Stargazing off the back porch was amazing. Super convenient to board my dog when I wanted to go into Capitol Reef to do longer hikes that weren’t dog friendly. The local cream cheese and bagel for breakfast were delicious. Thank you!

    Allison2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Toni’s was the perfect spot for our family. The hosts were nearby but we felt like we had privacy for the time we were there! The space was uncluttered and clean for our mobile baby. In the morning, we were able to visit the farm animals!

    Laura2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely spot with the animals and the space was so inviting. I felt right at home and Jim and Toni Kay were great hosts. Stay here if you get the chance!

This is an entire home. Our cabin home has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It has over 2300 sq ft of living space. The cabin home is centrally located within Utah's Capitol Reef Country. It is a great base location for exploring, while still having access to modern services. The cabin home is located between Fish Lake and Capitol Reef, within a 25 minute drive to either location.
This is a great place to stay on your vacation. The cabin looks small on the outside, but has plenty of space on the inside. It has a beautifully remodeled custom kitchen. The ceilings are high with open wood beams and wood paneling. There are wood fireplaces on both levels. It has a large fenced in yard and outdoor fire pit, large trees for shade, and fruit trees (apricot, pear, plum, apple) in the yard. It is also located next to the main road, which allows you to get to where your going quicker.
Lyman is a small town. It is a great place to relax and escape. You will have to travel to the surrounding communities to find restaurants and other services. Lyman has a public park and church. At the park you will find basketball courts, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, baseball field, child playground, and large open grass lawn for what ever else you want to do. Some local restaurants I would recommend is the Bahinda's Pizza Palace (curry brick oven pizza and other curry items) in Bicknell, awesome!! . The Sunglow in Bicknell is also another great place; it is a family style restaurant with specialty pies, such as pickle, pinto, lemon custard, oatmeal, and other favorites. Torrey is a great place with numerous restaurants, evening programs, book stores, gift shops, art studios, farmers market, bar, and outdoor gear rental.
  • We loved the house . It was clean and had lots of room. The snack was yummy and Erins mom is a sweetheart. We will be back 💕

  • Cute spacious cabin under the stars with a special treat when you arrive. Our group loved the decor and spaciousness. So happy to have a desk so I could catch up in work (unfortunately). Thanks for the addition of Clorox wipes during this time if covid-19. We felt safe and appreciated you acknowledging the situation.

    Molly2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • So clean, spacious, cozy. Great location, easy to find. Hosts were so sweet and left the yummiest treats for us! Highly recommend and would stay here again.

  • Great place to stay! Second time staying here! We will be back!

    Kara2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our family absolutely loved our stay at this home. It was VERY clean and well decorated. Upon walking in, we saw a hand written note welcoming us as well as some homemade treats. We cooked most of our meals in the cabin and the kitchen is the most equipped I've ever seen, just like being at home. They even had a child sip cup we used! There is a lot of space and play area in the basement. Plenty of bedspace for everyone! We plan to return again, thank you!

    Colleen2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Calm and quiet place. Has a home feel about it. Erin is quick to respond and a great host. This home is close to fish lake and capital reef. We enjoyed the new things that Erin has done since our last stay (dart board, air hockey, new couches, baby gate at steps, etc.). Thanks for another great trip!

    David2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The host is hospitable! Due to close of the Capital Reef NP, we arrived early. It was cold and snowy, so we called to see whether we can check in earlier. The lady agreed and said she would come to visit us! She cane with her son and grandkids to send us homemade delicious food and a warm greeting card! She shared the recipe of the traditional food with us. It is so delicious that we love it instantly! We enjoyed the wooden house. The view of each window is breathtaking! Our kids rate this place as the best of our 10-day Utah trip that they wrote sincere feedback before we left. Thanks for making us feel like home!

  • If you want to experience the charm that embodies the small town of Lyman and the surrounding towns of Wayne County, this is the home you should stay in! You’ll feel like your staying in a family cabin that you grew up visiting as a child. The decor is both updated and vintage. The vibe of this home is charming and comfortable. There were 12 of us here for a weekend, all but one over the age of 10, and it never felt crowded. We would definitely stay here again!

  • We had a nice stay at Lisa's place. There was plenty of room for a group of 7, we also appreciate Lisa's responsiveness :). I definitely recommend this place

    Helene2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed over on Christmas night with 5 friends & a baby and we loved the place! It was easy to find, clean & has great amenities! Communication with Lisa was a breeze too! Do note the water heater takes a while to heat up in winter!

    Evette2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for our needs. Very old home, beautifully remodeled and pleasant to stay.

    Wendy2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • The name of the property is perfect, because we really felt bright and sunny at Lisa’s place. We first noticed how clean everything was. The farm fresh eggs are a small thing that sends a big message. About 25 min from Capitol Reef and only 20 min from Scenic Byway 12.

    Weston2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa responded promptly. I was able to meet the managers of the house who were great and wonderful folks to visit with.

  • This was the perfect little house for exploring Capitol Reef and other nearby outdoorsy attractions. It’s perfectly located, and was an amazing spot to come home to after a long day of hiking. I was surprised with some farm fresh eggs when I arrived, such a thoughtful touch! Would absolutely stay again!

  • Fantastic space. Very clean and very friendly. Everything you need is covered and the location is excellent. Great for kids 2 and up

  • This is a nice, cozy place to stay at a bargain price. The owners were very nice and quick to respond when we needed them. There is a decent grocery store in town just a few minutes away to pick up items to cook. We didn't think we'd use the washer and dryer, but then we needed to. Everything you might need is there. It feels very spacious actually given that it's got all these amenities. My daughter loved, loved all the animals, and I think they liked her back. And both kids enjoyed the trampoline tremendously.

    Beth2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A group of twenty-somethings enjoyed a wonderful one night stay at Jim and Toni’s! Jim was working in the yard when we arrived and provided a warm welcome. We were able to watch 500 geese land in the field at sunset, lay on the trampoline to watch shooting stars, and cook steaks on their grill. Would recommend this place for an authentic Loa experience!

    Taylor2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, they are really friendly, and kind. Would stay here again in the future.

  • Loa's Farm was the perfect cozy place to come home to after days out hiking in Capitol Reef. The place was spotless, and the cast iron pans were seasoned perfectly! Jim and Toni we're great hosts, and a lot of fun to talk to. The place is close to a gas station and grocery store, making it very convenient to get ready for the day. We would definitely recommend this as a home base for exploring the beautiful area.

    Giacomo2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Friendly animals. Cute room big enough for small family. Very quick on the responses.

    Carrie2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay! I stayed here on a visit to Capitol Reef national park. Jim and Toni’s place was a breeze to get to and they provided clear directions. Toni was able to meet us there to show us around. It was great to visit with her. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner. We loved seeing the goats in the morning! Overall it was a very comfortable stay.

    Indigo2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • A group of 4 of us stayed here while visiting Capitol Reef National Park. We arrived very late into the night but the check in instructions were very clear, and the host was quick to respond if we were to have any questions. It is very warm and cozy for cold Utah nights and a short drive away to food places in neighboring towns. The trampoline outside was a fun addition to try out before we left (but jump at your own risk!). Would definitely stay again if visiting the area again :)

Experience a brand new luxury Tiny Home, nestled in rural Southern Utah, redrock cliffs in the distance, busy Milky Way skyscape, in a quiet little hamlet on the edge of Capitol Reef National Park. From a distance the Tiny Home looks kinda ... tiny - but once inside, there's a feeling of spaciousness and light - high ceilings and lots of windows. It is really ideal for 1-2 people, but there's a comfy sofa bed as well for a 3rd person. Note: NO WIFI til April 2020, then 50mg. download.
Because the ceilings are high, it feels surprisingly spacious (432 sq ft). Beautiful wood paneling, hardwood floors, a pebbled shower floor, gas stove, tankless water heater, and a sizable deck are a few of the sweet elements to this comfortable, inviting place to chill after a day in the Park.
This is the neighborhood I always wanted to grow up in. A quiet little hamlet set off from the main road, walks around the block with our dog, visiting friendly neighbors, few cars, beautiful, simple, amazing night skies.

Our guest quarters, on the second story above the garage, has a private entrance, one bedroom with three beds, a private full bath and sitting area. There is a microwave, coffee maker and small fridge but not full cooking facilities.
Conveniently located 11 miles from Capitol Reef National Park visitor center, two hours from Bryce Canyon National Park and two hours from Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park.
We are just a block and a half away from Torrey main street. There are seven restaurants and a small grocery store within a one mile radius, open during spring, summer and fall. It is a quiet neighborhood with a few roosters crowing, cows mooing or dogs barking in the distance. The scenery within a 50 mile radius will take your breath away. You can hike in or near Capitol Reef with the red rocks, lizards and cactus or you can hike into an alpine lake high on Boulder Mountain to enjoy some trout fishing.
  • Really nice place - quiet and cozy- convenient to Capitol Reef. Host made it easy to find - no service for me there- and easy to check in. Highly recommend!

  • This was the best place to stay, easy access to Capitol Reed National Park, clean, welcoming with a private entrance to come and go as you need. Carolyn was the best host, she showed us around, met us as we pulled up and was ready with several food locations for what to do in Torrey. I hope to visit the park again and would be privileged to stay here again.

    Susan2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location if you're hiking Capital Reef. Carolyn was nice and helpful. The space was large and comfortable, with two reclining chairs!

Relax in our brand new private cabin within walking distance to the town of Torrey and 5 miles to Capitol Reef National Park. This tiny gem was built with love by our own two hands. Enjoy 360 degree views of the picturesque scenery in a quiet and peaceful setting.
Tiny in Torrey is a small cabin that sits on over an acre of land. This retreat is perfect for a couple looking for a serene get-away or perhaps a family of 4 (we may be open to additional small children). You can potentially fit 3 adults snugly in this space, but a 4th adult would not have comfortable sleeping arrangements. Vaulted ceilings welcome you into the main living area, creating a bright and intimate gathering space. There is one private bedroom with a queen size bed. In addition, the couch in the main living space pulls out into a twin bed. Unwind in the cozy loft, the perfect retreat for when you want to cuddle up with a good book. Or, if you just need to send the kids somewhere to play inside, the loft makes an excellent play space. If you need additional sleeping arrangements, we also have two 4 inch twin size fold out sleeping pads available in the loft. The cabin has a 3/4 bath with a tiled walk-in shower (no tub). The small kitchen has a double burner electric hot plate, french press coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, waffle maker and full size refrigerator/freezer. There is no oven in the kitchen. For outside cooking, there is a propane BBQ with a side burner. The kitchen is stocked with cooking pots , pans and utensils, basic dishes for four and mixing bowls. There is also an instant hot water dispenser (careful, the water comes out boiling!), perfect for that quick cup of tea, coffee and oatmeal. Enjoy the tranquil sounds of morning or a beautiful sunset on our quaint front and back porches. Relax on the front porch rocking chairs or dine on the back porch, which boasts an intimate eating nook for two. There is no dining area inside the cabin, but we do have 4 tv trays to use when the weather requires inside dining. The cabin does not have central air conditioning as it is rarely required in Torrey because of our elevation (6837 feet), but for those occasions when it warms up in July and August, we have ceiling fans in all the main rooms and A/C window units throughout the home. When the weather turns cold, there is electric heat to keep you warm. There is no TV at our cabin, but we do have complimentary WIFI. No smoking or pets please. This includes dogs who stay outside.
Torrey is the gateway to Capitol Reef National Park as well as limitless other outdoor activities. A few of these nearby remarkable adventures include: -Capitol Reef National Park (5 miles away) -Scenic Byway 12 (3 min away, this epic scenic drives takes 2.5 hours from start to finish with unlimited hikes, lakes, waterfalls and adventures along the way) -Bryce Canyon National Park (2.5 hours away) -Fishing on Boulder Mountain (Torrey's soaring neighbor to the south boasts 80 lakes, with nearby access from the back roads out of Torrey and Teasdale and also from Highway 12) -Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (1 hour away) You can take morning and evening walks from the property down to the Fremont river (and possibly say hello to the goats of River Road) or across Highway 24 into the Sand Creek area which includes miles of trails and some spectacular rock formations. In the summer, the neighboring property is home to a herd of sheep and Jerry the Llama (self-named by us). Jerry can be shy, but if you have patience, he loves to come say hello. The town has many amazing food options, local music and a number of art galleries. In the summer, enjoy the weekly Farmer's Market on Saturdays in downtown Torrey.
  • Tiny is Torrey is so delightful. We were visiting capitol reef. Our kiddo loved the loft area we enjoyed being able to cook while visiting. The space is really cute and cozy. It is obvious how much live they put into building the house. Cody and Maile were delightful hosts who checked in on our stay and provided wonderful suggestions even amidst Covid-19.

  • Nice people and great environment. Friendly and accommodating.

    Kirra2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • So quiet!! We were a little apprehensive about the farm environment when we were booking, worried that a dog kennel or animals would be noisy, but this was one of the best night's sleep I have had in a while. No noise, and blackout curtains along with blinds in every bedroom were key in getting to sleep until my alarm went off. Lots of little thoughtful touches around the place, so nice, and when I forgot to bring something the host was anxious to step in and help me out. Highly recommend.

  • In a quiet town, staying in Jim and Toni’s place was definitely a plus to us. We all enjoyed this cozy home. My children have enjoyed a wonderful farm tour also with Jim and his daughter at feeding time. A memorable stay! Highly recommended... esp. family with young children. You will have fun for sure!

  • Lovely, cozy space that was such a delight to get to after a long, cold day hiking in Capitol Reef National Park. Instructions for getting to the house were very clear, and we got there with no problems even in the dark. Our kids enjoyed hanging out with Jim and Toni's daughter, watching her do farm chores and helping to feed the dogs. The goats and cats were very cute! Overall, a very enjoyable stay!

The Sweetgrass Studio is 12 mi from Capitol Reef Nat Park + 22 NP/SP/Museums within a 3.5 hr drive. It's located above a private art studio until Apr 2020. A Coffee Shop Art Gallery will then open. The SG Studio building was built in 1873 as a mercantile, turned dance hall/school in the early 1900s. In 2005 its exterior was totally upgraded honoring the original historical period. All of the interior was constructed by a master woodworker. Wayne County is where to shorten your bucket list!
The Sweetgrass Studio is upstairs. It is accessed by a staircase inside the front door. Because of its age, the second floor is not handicap accessible. The space has an open floor plan with kitchen, living and dining in a common area. The ceiling is high and at its perimeter, angles with the pitch of the roof. The window sills are exceptionally deep due to the structure of the old stone buildings’ walls which are almost 18” thick. This all adds up to be a very dramatic and interesting space! The views are both of the town of Bicknell, Bicknell Bottoms, & the start of the Velvet Ridge. There is one private bedroom with a queen bed, ample closet and chest of drawers. Extra guests can be accommodated on the queen size sofa bed and in the loft. There is one large bathroom with plenty of storage, a long cast-iron tub with shower. The generous sized loft above the bathroom has 2 Twin XL sleeping mattresses. The loft is a great nook overlooking the apartment. It is accessed by a ladder. You can find this in the pictures. The kitchen is fully equipped with the typical amenities. You could comfortably cook here over any length of stay. The sink is incorporated into an island with bar seating for 3 for casual eating. This 90 year old cabin in Southcentral Utah has been fully refurbished and is fully furnished ready for a one night stay or for a month. Great area for hiking, fishing, boating, hunting, scenic views or just relaxing. Relax in a quiet and secure valley
The.cabin feels like it is in the middle of a forest and is so quiet and serene. Yet, we are close to a grocery store and gas stations.
It is quiet and restful area where people are friendly. ..the yard has sprinkler irrigation and keeps the area clean and cool. The mountains surround the town providing majestic scenic views.
  • Charming, snuggly cabin with comfortable beds, wonderful fluffy bedding, and a full kitchen. Centrally located for Fish Lake, Capital Reef, Boulder Mountain, and other outdoor fun. Monte was very communicative before our stay and even left us some chocolates and homemade banana bread.

    Audrey2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is cosy without feeling cramped. Both beds were incredibly comfortable - far more comfortable than our own. It was so fun to stay in a place with such history but all modern amenities also! Monte was super thoughtful. Before we arrived, she set up a crib for our baby and provided games for our toddler. Which we appreciated so much when the snow kept us indoors. Monte also told us all about the cabin, the town and the area so we knew exactly what to expect and what to pack. She left local maps with notes that were super helpful. This was the perfect way to see Capitol Reef. We felt right at home. Monte is the perfect host and the area is absolutely beautiful!

    Lindsay2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a place to stay that is comfortably rustic, this is a good choice. Monte is kind and thoughtful, the air was clean and clear—yes, there still is such a place—and the small friendly town of Loa is surrounded by mountains and FISH.

    Bob2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location; quiet, near grocery store, gas station, parks. Monte is a thoughtful and helpful host.

    Tim2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful little cabin, extremely quiet and homely. Lots of loving touches and great kitchen supplies. Monte’s homemade banana bread was delicious. Monte gave great local advice and was extremely welcoming. For us this was a great location to explore Capitol Reef and somewhere to escape the crowds after a busy day in the park. We would definitely stay there again.

CHECK IN AT THE MOTEL OFFICE. 4 unit motel on our 100 acre ranch. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful views. 5 miles from Torrey, Ut and 13 miles from Capitol Reef.
Off the beaten path and wonderful for star gazing. Two queens, not just one!
Two miles out of the town of Teasdale.
  • Room was nice and CLEAN which is a high priority for me. Nice new towels and new bathroom! Bed was soft, which is my preference. Pretty quilts on bed were nicer than in photos. Close enough to Capitol Reef to be easy to get to. Off main road so nice and quiet. So many stars at night! Fridge and microwave. No grocery store near by and restaurants close for winter so come prepared if come in off season. One good restaurant was open with excellent food. Would suggest a nicer chair to sit in for reading. Walls a little thin so hear people in room next door, but was not a problem as they were quiet. Worked great for me!

    Delyn2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Place was clean, comfortable and close to Capitol Reef for touring....Host was very accomodating.

    Sue2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • A good-sized room with 2 very comfortable queen beds. Extra pillows. Bathroom extra nice: lots of hot water, special bathroom heat lamp heater, nice thick towels. Near Torrey/Capital Reef Natl Park, UT but out of town on a ranch so very quiet. Torrey has a nice place to eat, Capital Reef Inn.

    Carolyn2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect motel Airbnb stay with a great view! Linda was quick to respond and check in was easy - our key was in an envelope on the office door. The place was very clean and the beds and towels were so nice! It's just like staying in a motel - they even clean your room whole you're gone for the day which was a nice surprise. We would definitely stay again!

    Megan2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • All the conveniences of a motel (direct entry right from parking spot, entire unit to yourself), but with the feel of a fresh farmhouse B&B with nice decor touches. Very relaxing and quiet - out on a large ranch but only a few minutes drive from Torrey. A couple things to know: * Be cautious about the GPS location in Airbnb. If it doesn't match the Google Maps location for Cactus Hill Ranch Motel, then you may be taking a driving tour of the 100 acre ranch... * The number in the listing (3) is not the room number of the unit, so don't be thrown off by that. Go to the office as per the directions. * Booking is not auto-confirmed by Airbnb's system - Linda or staff have to confirm, so just be aware if you're booking in the middle of the night that you'll need to wait for your confirmation.

Sweet, comfortable, two bedroom cabin (480 sq ft). Sweeping views of redrock and mountains. Elevation 7100. Hardwood maple floors, wood stove. No TV. No kitchen, exactly, but most cooking needs met. Quiet. Small outdoor patio with table and chairs. Charcoal grill. Take morning/evening walks in our little hamlet/neighborhood. Wifi. Day hikes in Capitol Reef Park. Amazing star gazing at night. Local park with swings & jungle gym a block away.
Two bedroom cabin. Sweeping views of redrock and mountains. Elevation 7100. Ideal for a single person, or a small family. 2 couples might find it a bit small. Hardwood maple floors, wood stove. Cooking/eating amenities include: small fridge, microwave, burners, coffeemaker, electric hot water maker, toaster, pots & pans, dishes, utensils. NOTE: no oven or kitchen sink. 2 bedroom cabin: 1 bedroom - queen & 1 bedroom - 2 singles (very comfortable beds). Down comforters. NO TV. Decent internet access - streaming works fine. The cabin sits about 50 ft from the main house. You can have as much privacy as you like, or come by for a cup of tea, when we're in town. Teasdale is a beautiful little hamlet of about 150 people, right next to Torrey, UT which sits on the edge of Capitol Reef National Park. The high elevation means it is usually delightful weather in the summer, no need for air conditioning. Mid-June through mid-July is bright and sunny in the 70s and low 80s, typically. In later July and mid-August is the monsoon season, so we typically have thunder showers in the afternoon/early evening with spectacular cloud displays. Capitol Reef Park is full of hiking trails and on the western edge of the Four Corners Region. It is one of the lesser known national parks because everyone heads to Arches, Bryce and Zion (which makes us happy since it keeps the numbers of visitors down : ). What people often don't know is that Arches and Zion are lower in elevation and really hot mid-summer - while we are quite comfortable! No pets in the cabin. We have 1 very precious, polite dog, Lucy. She is always in our fenced in yard or in the main house. You are welcome to come say hi - she loves kids. This is a very bucolic, rural area. The main grocery store is 17 miles away in Loa, UT. In the summer in Torrey, from April thru October, there is "The Chuck Wagon" open everyday, where you can get necessities, basic foods. There is 1 liquor store in the county, in Bicknell about 7 miles away - not open on Sundays. You can get beer at The Chuck Wagon, though.
Our little hamlet of 150-200 people is beautiful, off the main road, great for morning or evening walks. Has a nice park with swings and jungle gym for kids.
  • A delightful and peaceful place to stay with great access to Capitol Reef National Park and Grand Staircase Escalante. Pam helps solve problems and is a great communicator. I’ll be back.

    Lawrence2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is fantastic but the lack of real counter space or kitchen area makes it a bit tough to cook. If that's not something you're worried about then this place is perfect. Very close to national parks and about 2.5 hours from skiing.

    Max2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot it was for or family. Perfect for a weekend.

    Vanessa2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Pam's place is an excellent base for exploring Capitol Reef National Park. Teasdale is a very quiet town a short drive from the park. I especially appreciated the fast internet!

    Ronald2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot to access some incredible outdoors. Clean, cozy and convenient. Thank you to the host!

    Adam2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice location to Capitol Reef NP. The hosts checked if we need anything even they were out of town. The cabin has everything we need. Even though it's small, but feel very cosy. It's very nice for those who don't cook much.

    Kee2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This little gem is just the place to be your home base as you explore near and far. This was our second time staying at Pam's - we slept well, enjoyed our privacy, as well as sitting outside on the porch in the evening under the full moon.

    Robin2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A great cottage close to Capital Reef National Park. Great value for a family to stay and have privacy. As the description says, there's not a full kitchen, so be prepared, but it worked just fine for us.

Our log home is 3 blocks from downtown Torrey. 4 miles to beautiful Capitol Reef and scenic highway 12. Seasonal nightlife includes local natural history, culture, and live music. The natural area brings wildlife into our backyard orchard. Great for bird watching! Home is rustic and eclectic, all wood interior with wood burning stove. Great place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Smoke and pet free, we use natural soaps and cleaners for your health. 1 block to town park.
The apartment is rustic with all wood and/or rock interior. There is a queen size bed that can sleep 2 and a couch that can sleep one small-medium adult or child comfortably. Apartment and bathroom are not wheelchair accessible. There are a few stairs to navigate coming in to the apt. and also up to the kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom is attached to the kitchen and is small, but functional, with a custom-tiled walk-in shower. The small kitchen has an electric 4 burner stove top and oven, a toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, and a small dormitory style refrigerator with small freezer section. The kitchen is stocked with basic dishes, pots, and pans needed to cook and eat, a few spices, oatmeal and cold cereal for you to prepare if you choose. Coffee and tea are available as well and fruit from orchard when in season. Bring your own milk. There is a wood burning stove as well as an electric heater. Electric heater should be pulled away from wall when using. If using the wood burning stove remember to pull the flue out just a little to get it started and going well. Instructions for using the wood burning stove are on the wood box in the apartment. Fire starting materials and wood will be available for your convenience. Please take all precautions when starting and using a fire. If you need advice, please ask. Our BnB is just across the street from a fringe wooded area, where deer often bed down at night. Our east window faces the woods and sometimes you can see deer coming and going to our orchard property or to other places in the neighborhood. The deer frequent all parts of the property, eating fruit from the orchard in season, alfalfa, and wild greens in the yard. The fruit orchard and the canopy of mature trees in Torrey bring in an abundance of birds for viewing.
The apartment is in the valley of Torrey, between Boulder Mountain to the south and Thousand Lakes Mountain to the north. North views are of the redrock cliffs and knolls of Torrey, with Thousand Lakes Mountain above. Torrey's elevation is 6837 ft. above sea level. Torrey has a beautiful combination of redrock cliffs, knolls, pinyon and juniper forest, and sage and rabbit brush desert scrub. The area has been referred to as high desert or cold desert, due to it's elevation and cool temperatures, fall through spring. The apartment sits opposite an open lot with a small wooded area that deer often bed down in at night, a meadow, and a small wetland area, based on the irrigation ditch that runs through town. This open natural land so close to the apartment brings wildlife and an abundance of birds into the area and property. We have kept our yard free of pesticides and let it grow wilder than most do, to facilitate our yard being used by the local animals and birds for food, habitat, nesting material, etc. We have noticed that the birds, deer, ants and squirrels have all been eating from the 90 year old apricot trees just outside the apt. door. We are happy to share our property with our "deer friends and neighbors." Because the mountains and plateaus surrounding Torrey rise to nearly 11,000 feet, the town rarely experiences the heat that much of Southern Utah does. We do get rain occasionally -- mostly in July and August. If temperatures do get hot during the day in July and August, the nights cool off quickly. To the East, the Torrey valley drops down into the red rock country of Capitol Reef National Park (4 miles away), to approximately 5,500 feet in elevation. The Navajos and Utes referred to the beautiful multicolored rock of the "waterpocket fold" and surrounding area, as "the land of the sleeping rainbow." Torrey is centrally located for many Southern Utah adventures. Accessible within 1.5-2 hours drive are parts of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and the canyons of the San Rafael Swell. Moab, with Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, is about 3 hours east. The Escalante Canyons are approximately 2 hours south. Bryce and Zion National Parks are about 3 hours south. Boulder Mountain to the South, Thousand Lakes Mountain to the North, and the Fish Lake area to the west and north, all have mountain lakes, streams and wooded areas. The area around Torrey is stunning in it's natural beauty and is a wonderful get-a-way from the city or the suburbs. Come to the "land of the sleeping rainbow." Enter the land of your soul.
  • Joy and Bernie’s place is quite charming, especially if you want a quiet place after hiking all day. My girlfriend and I stayed two days and LOVED the brochures/suggestions provided by other guests. The place is also cozy where you can sit on the couch, watch TV, or simply read a book. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of the national parks. I’ll look to stay at this place again!

  • Joy and Bernie were the best hosts. They gave us all the tips we needed to have an amazing visit at capitol reef, their cabin is located right next to the park making it so easy to enjoy the park. Their hospitality and lovely personality made us feel so welcome. I'd definately recoment them for a cozy amazing capitol reef vacation.

  • Joy and Bernie are great hosts. Thoughtful, caring and accommodating they made us feel at home and made our visit to Capitol Reef very nice.

    Peter2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This space was just a short drive from Capitol Reef NP. it was very cozy and had a fireplace that we used each night! We were also able to cook which was great because town was pretty much shut down for the season. They had helpful resources for the park and town as well.

    Kate2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I spent two nights in Torrey and had a great time and very comfortable stay at Joy and Bernie’s place. The location is a perfect jumping off point to explore Capitol Reef and some of the surrounding areas which is what brought us out to Utah from Denver. Joy and Bernie’s place was clean and particularly cozy with the wood burning stove. They were helpful with local recommendations as well, especially since some of the town was closed down for the winter season. Would go back in a heartbeat and will definitely be recommending this friends.

    Justin2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Joy and Bernies for three nights. The location is excellent for day trips in and out of Capitol Reef. Being it was the Thanksgiving holiday, we packed all our own food in the event local eateries might be closed. JnB's has a full kitchen that we used each night. We hiked in the park multiple days and came back to a cozy wood fire each night! Check in was a breeze, easy parking, close to town and the park. We wish we had more time to chat with Joy and Bernie as they seem to be nice, genuine, and interesting people.

There is 1 liquor store in the county, in Bicknell about 6 miles away - again not open on Sundays. You can get beer at The Chuck Wagon, though.
  • We loved staying here. It’s only a couple minutes from some local food place but we went in the off season so not everything was open. It’s only like 10 minutes from Capitol Reef NP. The place itself was very clean and super cute. The small water heater wasn’t a problem for my group but due to some rainy and windy weather we were unable to enjoy the patio and fire pit and since there is no oven we had to get creative on how to make some of our food. But other than that our stay was awesome and we will definitely be staying here again!

    Liz2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! We have always love the capitol reef area come in and camped nearby several times. Having your retreat made going down in November much more pleasant! The place is well described in the ad, and it is a great cozy retreat to finish a day of adventures in the area!

The house is across from the post office and very easy to find. Parking in off street and free. Enjoy the quiet life in this very small town that is a hidden treasure with beautiful views of the red rocks.
  • Beds and furniture are super comfortable. Everything super clean. Great location like a 20 minute drive from popular hikes in Capitol Reef. Also drive a little down the road and there are some dirt roads to drive off on and find a good place to look at the stars in the dark. Great view. There could be guests upstairs so be aware the walls aren't super thick (I sleep with headphones so I wasn't bothered at night, but when people were playing upstairs we could hear it).

  • This place has great access to Capitol Reef National Park and nearby restaurants. Very clean with plenty of helpful amenities that made the stay smooth and comfortable. The beds are firm which is fine if you like that/don't mind. The host was excellent to work with. She responded very quickly to questions and all information was easily obtained. I definitely would recommend this place!

  • Sarah's place was wonderful, clean, close to Capitol Reef, so it was everything that I was looking for. I would recommend her place to anyone!

  • We loved this little basement apartment. While you can’t control the temperature from the area, Allyson was responsive and set the temperature to our liking and provided space heaters that worked too well. ;) We brought our chihuahuas and appreciated the fenced in area and that they were allowed to stay with us. Everything was clean and comfortable. Shower was hot.

    Shelli2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED Allyson’s place! We decided last minute to stay somewhere that was dog friendly and hers was one of the few in the area. We actually ended up staying in the upper unit, but from the pictures, they are equally well fitted up. First of all, it was 20 degrees with howling wind when we got there, but it was lovely and warm inside! The place was sparkling clean, and very well designed. Lovely, comfortable furniture, and a large tv with all the streaming apps we could want. The kitchen was extremely well stocked! We were able to make a simple dinner and breakfast for ourselves, but we could have made a gourmet meal for 12—every utensil, pan, basic ingredients for cooking and baking (again, I’m describing the upstairs unit kitchen contents) was easy to find! The beds were brand new and very comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping away from home, but not here! Toiletries, first aid, flashlight. Everything was there. It was a great rental—one of the best we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend this host and this house! We’ll be back!! Thank you!

  • We made a mistake in booking date and didn't realize until after the date. But Sara was kind enough to refund so we could book again on the right date.

    Paul2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had no idea what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised with a really cute home. Furnishings were so stylish and comfortable. We had all the possible things we needed and more with high quality soaps, etc. The whole place was spotless and temp control was easy and spot on. Place was easy to find and has plenty of off street parking. Small warning, when you go off season like we did, hard to find food, grocery or restaurant. There is nowhere to eat in Teasdale, but in season, not too far in Torrey. Host was very quick to respond and great to work with. We recommend staying here for sure, great space.

Premier location! Tinker Creek is a quaint A-frame cabin, walking distance to everything Torrey has to offer, and only a few miles from the entrance of Capitol Reef National Park. With red Rock views and mature trees surrounding the property, Tinker Creek is truly a serene get-away.
Tinker Creek is a duplex cabin with spacious grounds. The larger, renting side has one private master bedroom with a queen bed and a beautiful loft with two full beds with new, comfortable mattresses. The cabin has a full bathroom downstairs that is ideally set up for groups and a half bath upstairs in the loft. The other side will be ready to rent in May 2020, at the soonest. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, complimentary laundry facilities, AND Wifi! The cabin is surrounded by outdoor patios with ample seating during fair weather and space to wander and experience nature all year long. No smoking or pets, please. This includes dogs who stay outside. Torrey is the perfect base camp for outdoor adventures. Below is a list of some of our favorite places to explore in the area: - Capitol Reef National Park (10 minute drive) - Fishlake National Forest (10minute drive) - Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (1 hour drive) - Hell's Backbone Road (1 hour drive) - Henry Mountains (1 hour drive) - Zion National Park (3 hour drive) - Bryce Canyon National Park (3 hour drive) And when you return from your day trips, there are fantastic restaurants just blocks away! Most notable is Cafe Diablo (closes during the winter), which is a short walk from Tinker Creek.
Torrey is the quintessential small town, with just 243 permanent residents (as of 2017). There is one main street going through town (Highway 24) and our home is half a block off the main street. There are lots of great restaurants and shops in town during the warmer months, and a few restaurants stay open during the colder months.
  • My family of three loved staying at Matt and Laura's cabin. The grounds around the cabin are pretty amazing with an assortment of different patios and decks to enjoy the outside while plenty of trees offer a sense of privacy. Inside the cabin we loved spending most of the time in front of the wood burning stove reading one of the many books that they have on-hand or playing some of the board games that they have available. The kitchen had everything that we needed (including many of the little things that help with making meals away from home - coffee, sugar, oil, spices, etc). We knew from the cabin description that there were only two stools to sit at inside and while the March weather was too cool at times for us to eat outside at the large patio table, we didn't feel like this was any kind of problem for us. The comfortable beds and linens as well as the recently remodeled bathrooms added just the right level of modern luxury to the cabin. Finally, I have to say that we really appreciated Laura's quick and helpful communications - providing us lots of information on what to expect, and getting back to us quickly when we sent her questions. Overall, it was a great stay and I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone.

    Brian2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a cozy cabin! The trees around the property create this isolated in the woods feeling which is so cool after a day of hiking. The hosts are so friendly and easy to communicate with. Thanks for the great stay!

    James2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay for exploring Capitol Reef and beyond. Unique AFrame structure, lovely and thoughtfully appointed interior, great fireplace for warmth on cold nights. Matt was super responsive and answered all questions within five minutes. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

    Debbie2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This a-frame is so cute! I loved the loft area and all the books to read. It felt like we were really staying in a forest even though we were mostly in the desert. It's a perfect location to hop into Capitol Reef and we also even drove down to Grand Staircase Escalante to hike Spooky and Peekaboo. In the winter the town was really quiet, but I liked that.

    Leslie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The hospitality and property was amazing!!! I loved the host they were wonderful to work with!! The property was so beautiful and I loved all the sitting areas, bridges and fire pit. It was truly a charming wonderland!!

    Natasha2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is such a little gem! My kids loved it! It was a nice escape from reality! We were there in Feb. so it was very quiet and a lot was shut down. So, I recommend bringing food because there isn’t much open. We loved the TUB and fire place ❤️

    Chey2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed staying at the cabin. It was a unique experience for our family to stay in a classic A frame cabin. Enjoyed all the board games and equipped kitchen.

    Matt2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is so adorable. It was perfect for five of us to stay for three nights while exploring Capitol Reef. Perfect distance to the park! The kitchen is well stocked with all things you need to cook, plenty of towels, shampoo/conditioner provided in the shower, etc. We felt very well provided for in every regard. They have a binder with maps and menus from local restaurants. We got a dusting of snow while we were there which made it so beautiful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

    Matt2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved this place! It was so comfy and stylish with everything we needed.

    Jessica2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Linda and Martin have really thought of everything, they are spectacular hosts! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at an Air B&B as well stocked as this place. We had such a great time, and hope to visit again in the warmer months.

    Shalyn And Mike2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve gotten used to pet-friendly Airbnb’s being a little dingy and I was expecting the same at Linda & Martins place but I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful new house with all the modern amenities and conveniences that make this really more like a spotless new home to stay in rather than an efficiency suite. I got snowed in there one day and had a great day cooking, watching the snowfall from inside the glass sliders, and binge watching cable tv. It is super close to Capitol reef and also Route 12 which is the scenic byway to Bryce Canyon through the Dixie National Forest and Grand Staircase. The 1.5 hr scenic drive to Bryce Canyon was as stunning and fun as the park itself. I had a great time there in the dead of winter so I can only imagine how great it would be when it’s summer and there’s more businesses open!

    Dana2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Linda could teach a class on how to be an Airbnb host! This house had everything you could ever need on your trip including waffle mix, waffle maker and real maple syrup! The views from the house are amazing! The house was so clean and cozy ! The temperatures were chilly for us and we were so comfortable in this house. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return just next time for a longer stay since Capital Reef NP is a gem without all the crowds of some of the other national parks.

    Emily2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a true gem. We stay at many vacation rentals and this is one of the best. The place feels brand new and the amenities are wonderful - plenty of staples, comfy bed and blankets, and they even have slippers and robes. Communication with the owners was easy and always super responsive. The view is lovely. Perfect for Capitol Reef adventures.

    Dana2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for exploring Capitol Reef Country! We loved the hike just down the street and the short drive into Capitol Reef. Enjoyed relaxing on the back porch with a great view and terrific stargazing. The owner thought of EVERYTHING a guest could need - fully stocked gourmet kitchen, chargers for electronics, toiletries, local hiking guidebook. Hope to be back again!

Our log cabins offer two queen sized beds and will sleep up to four individuals. Each cabin has a microwave, TV, and a mini fridge, as well as heat and Air Conditioning. They are camp cabins, so there are no restrooms within the cabins, but our Bath House is located 150 feet to the north, which includes Men's and Women's restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. No Pets Allowed. No same day check-in reservations after 6 PM. Checkout is 10:00 AM local time. No check-ins before 3 PM. Thanks
  • We loved this place!! It was our favorite cabin experience we've had yet!! They were thoughtful about what would make a pseudo-camping experience easy and comfortable. Bathrooms are close and clean. Lots of private space in the showers. Great heater on some extremely cold nights. Close to many great outdoor adventures. (And there was a fun farmer's market in town on Saturday.) We will definitely be back!!

Secluded setting on the Fremont River. Walk-in basement apt. w/4 large windows--no stairs--overlooking the river. We've tried to think of everything you might need. Deck has a gas BBQ, table & chairs. Bathroom w/2-seater shower, kitchen fully equipped & stocked with some basic food items; flat screen TV & WiFi. At 7000 ft elev., nights are blissfully cool. House is on 2 acres and the river attracts coyotes, deer, birds, ducks, and muskrats.
As you can see from the photos, we are set back about half a mile from Hwy 24. The property is set on the Fremont River to the south and red rock cliffs to the north. The river is small by eastern, or European standards, but it maintains a host of wildlife.
Torrey is one of the sweetest, prettiest, tiniest western towns you're likely to see. We love it here. No close neighbors but close to town and the national park. There is only one liquor store in the county -- it's in Bicknell, 8 miles west of us.
  • Great location. Very good communication when we had trouble finding the house.

We bought this property because of the magnificent red rock views and the creek that runs through the back of our property under the cottonwood trees. We are within 100 yards of national forest land that provides unbelievable hiking and exploring. At 7,000 ft. with mountains above us and desert below, there is always a soft breeze that makes the temperature here very comfortable, especially for sleeping. Star watching at night is incredible, when was the last time you saw the Milky Way?
  • Excellent hosts and amazing Airbnb experience! By far the most well stocked house of essentials I have ever stayed in! Looking forward to staying again soon! Thank you Linda and Martin!!

  • Linda & Martin's place was lovely! We had a great time and felt so welcomed and at home. Linda greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the place and let us know some local tips. We loved waking up in the morning to the gorgeous views, and the house had all the amenities we could have needed -especially during our winter trip. There wasn't much open in terms of grocery stores and restaurants, but the house was fully stocked with spices, some food, and beverages. We took advantage of their waffle iron in the morning for this kids, and they set up a dog bowl with treats for our dog. It was so comfortable and a truly lovely stay - would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

  • We spent several days in Patty's vacation home and had a great time. The place is very comfortable, spacious, modern, bright, and quiet. It is thoughtfully and well equipped, from all the kitchen utensils we needed to hiking books and maps. If we visit Torrey again, we will try to stay at Patty's place again!

  • This is the second time my family stayed here. We love the house. It was perfect for my family. Kid friendly, close proximity to Capitol Reef and restaurants in town. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed.

  • Beautiful home, great location, and a wonderful place to stay. Very close to Capitol Reef and Torrey is a great base to visit other parks in the area.

  • This is a great house and a very good value. Photos show it looking smaller than it is. Outside areas for seating, either sun or shade, in or out of the breeze. Very clean, nice kitchen. In a residential area of Torrey but right down the street from restaurants. Perfect for two or four. Books and literature on the area. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

  • Extremely conscientious hosts, from cleanliness to framed photos, to thoroughly stocked kitchen and bathrooms and a new grill! Patios, horseshoes, outdoor fireplace, hammock, many personal touches, private, quiet.....lovely place. Very well appointed with an amazing Co-host, Kathy. We loved everything, except the spiders, which we squished....remember, this is located in a remote and rustic local so expect the wild and unexpected!! We loved it and would highly recommend staying at this beautiful Airbnb!

    Susan2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • As described in the pictures! It was very spacious for me and my sister when we visited. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Torrey visiting Grand Escalate or Capitol Reef!

  • This small home has been thoughtfully planned, with earth tones and local red stone. Exterior includes several separate spaces surrounded by foliage. Helpful advice and reading material for the nature-minded.

    Patrick2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the home and were so sad to leave. My husband (who is a very picky traveler) keeps talking about how he wants to go back and stay longer next time. It was so comfortable inside and all of the many outside spaces were great for viewing the beautiful landscape around the home. We had a chance to enjoy the outdoor fireplace too and that was really fun. Anything we needed was there! We needed a bag to wrap sandwiches as we forgot to buy them at the store and we were in luck! After our days of hiking, we were grateful for the very comfortable beds and the skylight in the master bedroom to gaze at the stars. Staying in the home was truly a highlight of our trip and we hope to have the opportunity come back again! Thank you for everything Patty and Kathy!

  • Wayne, Helen, Annette and Neil's place was perfect - comfortable, well stocked, extremely clean, roomy and perfectly located for our visit to Capitol Reef. There wasn't anything I would ask for to make this a better place and stay. We definitely recommend this place to others.

  • This one bedroom apartment in Torrey is part of a larger building with multiple units, they are each separate units but adjoin other units, so it would be a great place for extended family or friends to stay. Each group could have their own space but also be accessible to other groups. We were there in late October and it was unseasonably cold, but each room had its own heating controls and it warmed up beautifully. Also lots of hot water. We enjoyed our time there. Thanks.

    Susan2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location; restaurants in walking distance. Very spacious, attractively decorated. Highly recommend.

  • Great place to stay in Torrey. Clean, everything thing you need for relaxing after spending time out hiking and seeing the amazing scenery in Canyonland and the Grand Staircase Escalante. Everything you needed wax there, towels, fresh linen, cooking pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee pot.. It was nice to have regular television rather than dealing with Roku, just turn the TV on and watch your favorite channels. Torrey had a number of great restaurants too. We only stayed one night as we were leaving Capitol Reef and headed to the Grand Canyon the next day through the Grand Staircase Escalante, it was a relaxing night, we slept well.

    Kevin`2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to relax and unwind and still be close enough for a short walk across the street, and an even closer walk to the cafe for a quick tasty breakfast.

Beautiful contemporary apartment w/private entrance located in Torrey. Spectacular views of Boulder Mt, Henry Mts, Capitol Reef NP. The joy of travel has always involved getting away from it all, but never has the very notion of escape seemed quite as liberating as it does today. I hope your time at our home, surrounded by the beauty of dramatic red rock and starry nights will inspire you to find a stillness, away from the busyness of our everyday lives. NO guns, ATVs, Drones or Parties.
This is a lovely apartment with a private bedroom with a queen size bed, a separate kitchenette, living/dining area and a bathroom. The kitchenette has an under counter refrigerator, a microwave, a toaster oven and a coffeemaker. There are basic kitchen utensils along with service for four. An outdoor space just outside the private entrance to the apartment is set with chairs and a table as well as a grill, a perfect setting for a meal after a day spent in the great outdoors. The joy of travel has always involved getting away from it all, but never has the very notion of escape seemed quite as liberating as it does today. I hope your time at our home, surrounded by the beauty of the pitch black starry skies and the dramatically formed red rocks will inspire you to find a stillness in the midst of the of busyness that we experience in our everyday lives.
There are a few nice restaurants in and around Torrey. The Chuck Wagon in Torrey offers has a fair selection of basic grocery needs. The nearest full size grocery store is in Loa about 20-25 min. away. If you plan to make your own meals I would suggest bringing your own food to cook. There is a sink, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and a grill for your use. There isn't a stove or freezer in the apartment.
  • Sparkling clean, super private, 10 minutes drive from the park's wonderful hikes. Highly recommended.

It's next to the Capitol Reef Even if there is no cook that does not bother because a BBQ is available and we enjoy the beautiful view of the Capitol Reef. It's a place to see the sunrise and sunset, as well as the stars. Place to recommend.

CHECK IN AT THE MOTEL OFFICE. We are Cactus Hill Motel. Our family-owned 100 acre ranch is located in 2 miles south east of Teasdale, UT just 13 miles west of Capitol Reef National Park and at the foot of Boulder Mountain. (URL HIDDEN)At the Cactus Hill Motel you can enjoy the beauty and serenity of being off the beaten path. (URL HIDDEN)We are 5 miles from Torrey, Utah. Don't depend on GPS. From Highway 12 take the Teasdale exit and go about 5 miles to the Cactus Hill Motel sign. From highway 24 take the Teasdale exit and go through the town and follow the road, going East about two miles until you see the sign for Cactus Hill Motel. Call if you need to. Also, the Airb&b map is not complete. We are two miles out of the town of Teasdale. We have a 4 unit motel on a working ranch. Two queens in each room and a nice size bathroom. Microwave and small fridge, but no major cooking available. No cable, but a very peaceful place. We do have wi-fi. Rooms have two queen beds and can accommodate up to 4 people, $80 for 2 people then add $5 for each additional person.
  • Great place. Easy to find. Would definitely stay here again

    Kristina2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at the motel. My husband and I had a very pleasant stay this past weekend. The rooms are basic, but very clean. We had everything we needed. We slept great with how quiet the area is.

  • The Cactus Ranch Motel is as cute as it sounds. It's off the main road with a beautiful view. Accommodations are plain, but more than adequate. No highway noise - just peace. Cafe Diablo, close by, has an amazing menu.

  • Wonderful view from window, everything was clean and comfortable, and checking in and out were very convenient! Very friendly staff! Highly recommend staying here!

    Linda2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • All the conveniences of a motel (direct entry right from parking spot, entire unit to yourself), but with the feel of a fresh farmhouse B&B with nice decor touches. Very relaxing and quiet - out on a large ranch but only a few minutes drive from Torrey. A couple things to know: * Be cautious about the GPS location in Airbnb. If it doesn't match the Google Maps location for Cactus Hill Ranch Motel, then you may be taking a driving tour of the 100 acre ranch... * The number in the listing (1) is not the room number of the unit, so don't be thrown off by that. Go to the office as per the directions. * Booking is not auto-confirmed by Airbnb's system - Linda or staff have to confirm, so just be aware if you're booking in the middle of the night that you'll need to wait for your confirmation.

  • The pictures do not do this place justice! Very comfortable living arrangement with wonderful sun room for chatting and watching the birds and the cows. This house was incredibly well-stocked! Hostess thought of everything including goodies in the kitchen! This was especially important as we arrived late at night and were hungry. The GPS got us to the right street, but suggested the wrong side. When we finally found the right house, it was lit and very inviting. We would definitely want to come back and it was perfect for use as a home base while touring Capitol Reef.

It is a perfect launching point for your adventures, whether you crave the solitude of the desert landscape or the cool breeze among aspen and pine trees. Make this your home away from home where you can gather and recharge.
The location is central to many beautiful and varied adventures. Capitol Reef National Park is a scenic 15 mile drive. About 40 minutes you will find Cool and pristine Fish Lake surrounded by pines and aspen or Boulder Mountain along one of America's most Scenic Drive, Highway 12. Around an hour, Calf Creek Falls, Escalante slot canyons, Goblin Valley. About 2 hours away are stunning Lake Powell and Bryce Canyon. Spacious at 1600 square feet. • Teasdale, UT is a hidden gem and this house is perfect for a laid back trip to Capitol Reef and the surrounding area. There were guide books and suggestions that helped us plan our days at the park. The house is modern, clean and had everything we needed to have a home away from home. Not to mention the amazing sunrise and sunsets that you could see from any corner of the property.

  • What a great place! Perfect location and accommodations for exploring Capitol Reef. We did so much and were always happy to return "home" at the end of the day. So many nice touches... patio, grill, hammocks to view perfect night sky. Kathy was extremely responsive and helpful before and after checking in. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was going well. I highly recommend to any travelers in the area. This was perfect for our group.

  • Our stay at Red Cliff Vista was amazing. It was a wonderful spot for family and friends to come together to spend time exploring the National Parks of southern Utah. The home was well-appointed and clean. There was a lot of space to spread out and a great kitchen/dining area for shared meals. We would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants a clean and comfortable stay next door to Capitol Reef NP!

    Anne2019-09-18T00:00:00Z

And they made it comfortable to do that, with a few ways to let one enjoy the sky while being relatively comfortable. And the smarTVs were nice, were were able to use our own media!

A cozy, secluded, gingerbread cottage set on 5 treed acres in Sleeping Rainbow. Four scenic minutes from Torrey -- a sweet, tree-lined village just 11 gorgeous miles from Capitol Reef NP. Every room has a great view, including the bathrooms! Fully equipped kitchen. Dining table seats 8 plus 4 bar stools. Rock BBQ. Sleeps six: two queen, pillow-top, memory-foam beds, and a set of bunk beds. Large-screen TV in the living room. Wifi and internet/smart TV
If you're a city dweller, escape the noise, heat and dirty air and enjoy pure spring water, sweet desert air and temperatures that are 10-20 degrees cooler than the city. At 7000 feet elevation, nights are blissfully cool. The house is luxuriously secluded and the quiet can be deafening. Oh, and the stars are amazing -- don't forget to look up at the Milky Way! Torrey is one of few cities in the U.S. that has dark-sky designation. Early evening is magical with changing sunlight on the bluffs. There's a trail walk through the property, across Sand Creek, to the County Road and into town -- a lovely ten-to-fifteen minute walk. Majestic views of mountains (including the Henry Mountains), red rock cliffs and more peace and quiet than you'll know what to do with. Just two miles from the junction of Scenic Byway 12 -- the road to Boulder, Grand Staircase Escalante, Zion and Bryce.
The neighborhood is very quiet and really dark at night. We're a National Dark Sky location and it's appreciated when you turn off porch lights at night. The road to the house (County Road to Sleeping Rainbow Drive) is rather narrow and twisting so watch out for blind hills and turns.
  • The views here are stunning. We most enjoyed watching the sunset from the dining room table. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to make a meal just like home This was great for us since we were travelling with some picky eaters (kids) and dining options in Torrey were limited. The space is comfortable and the sheets on the beds are very soft.

    Caroline2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Mia's place! Love the location right outside of Torrey and plenty of space for my wife / two kids and my in-laws. The living room was a great place to hang out together and we watched a few movies on the TV. Great internet connection, too, for the kiddos :) Another thing that I really liked was how well stocked the kitchen was! They had all sorts of pots/pans/utensils, a great oven/stove and other appliances. It made it a real pleasure to cook there! I had a chance to get out for a few runs on the Great Western Trail, as well. It was a short run to the trail, which took me up into the mountains with amazing views of the surrounding area. Look forward to staying at Mia's place again! We had a great time!

  • Beautiful views and clean and spacious accommodations made the cottage a wonderful launch pad for our explorations of Capitol Reef. We prepared all of our meals in the modern, well-equipped kitchen and, after long days of hiking, relaxed in the living room by the wood stove. We all slept well in the comfy beds. We felt quite spoiled! There are large windows for viewing magnificent sunrises and sunsets or simply enjoying the ever changing light that sweeps across the landscape. The house is private and very quiet. The host is friendly and accommodating and happy to share details of the history of the interesting cottage and to offer tips on enjoying Torrey, Capitol Reef and other nearby spots. We loved our stay!

  • This is a fabulous location in Torrey, convenient for those travelling to Capitol Reef. The views just from the house are mind-blowing. We watched a full moon rise over the mountains, and sunrises were awesome. The house is very cozy, charming and peaceful. It's in a quiet neighborhood and has a very well-equipped kitchen. There's a nice dining room and relaxing living area. Both bedrooms are upstairs, so early risers don't disturb others when they're in the kitchen. Views from both bedrooms are amazing. The laundry was very convenient, as we got dusty from our hikes in the park. Mia was great with communication and we were sorry to leave such a lovely spot. Highly recommend this one!

  • The cottage was wonderful! Excellent location for visiting Capitol Reef and Fish Lake areas. Clean overall, very well stocked and newly renovated kitchen, comfortable beds and very nice, living space. Mia and Dianna were very responsive and gracious hosts. We arrived very late in the evening and Dianna went over to turn all the lights on for us. It helped tremendously to find the place in the dark. And the views were absolutely incredible. Keep the blinds open in the master bedroom to wake up to the desert sunrise!

  • The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was right next door to a few places to eat and an easy drive to Capital Reef. Would recommend when visiting the park!

  • This was a space with everything we needed: kitchen and laundry were much needed. Comfortable bed and ample space in a quiet town within walking distance to places to eat, a market, and art galleries.

If you are seeking a quiet peaceful getaway, this is your place. Teasdale is located minutes from Capitol Reef National Park and Boulder Mountain. You can play all day and come to your home away from home and relax in a beautiful setting.
It is in a very peaceful small town. But only minutes to Torrey, where you can find dining, general store, country bar and dancing.
Quiet town and friendly neighbors. Take a stoll and checkout beautiful yards. There is a house made of bottles 2 blocks away. It hasn't been lived in for a long time. But is very unique.
  • Outstanding hosts! Communication was great, the house was very clean and comfortable.

  • A great place to stay. We came here in winter, very close to the park and just the coziest place to come back to at the end of the day. Such a peaceful place to wake up in. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family. Any questions we did have were answered within minutes. We would definitely stay here again.
