  • We had a fantastic stay in the cabin, the weather was beautiful. It was exactly what we needed and great that our dog could enjoy the space too. Really nice to come back and relax in the hot tub after a long walk!

  • Perfect break away from the city. The cabin was great- provided everything we needed with amazing views! The dogs had a brilliant time. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

  • I booked this for me and my boyfriend for his birthday. It was amazing, the farm animals..hot tub..jacuzzi bath...quiet farm area...small cabin just for two...nearby beach and local pub...all were brilliant. We went to The Bank in Bude for tapas, rosies for lunch and prestons for lunch. Highly recommend all places. We visited summerleaze beach, the nearby beach (a 25-30 minute walk from the cabin) and did cliff walks which again I would highly recommend. Debbie and her partner were very helpful. We didn't need to contact them but they both visited us (when we checked in and before check out) so any questions we thought of we just asked them then, but they leave their number and were easy to contact. We are already planning on returning when the sun comes to visit as my boyfriend loves to surf but due to the weather he wasn't able to do this AND the cabin has a BBQ which next time we would love to have. Thank you & if you are a couple and are debating booking court farm cabin … you won't be disappointed :)

  • I absolutely loved it! The location was perfect, it was so peaceful and definitely worth the money, already looking to go back in the summer.

    Jessica2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • A really cosy cabin with everything we needed for a few days away before the Christmas madness! We didn’t use the hot tub due to the weather.. but the jacuzzi bath was amazing! The local pub Preston Gate is really friendly and does an amazing roast! Andrew and Debbie are really friendly and helpful and full of good recommendations for places to go. We’d love to return with the whole family and stay in the farmhouse.. will hopefully be in touch! Xx

  • A beautiful cabin, with stunning views from the garden and the hot tub.. We had such a special time, enjoying walks on the beaches in Bude and spending time relaxing in the hot tub.. We took our dog, who loved it there! Our hosts were so friendly and very helpful! We will definitely be visiting again :)

  • What a fantastic location! The Cabin is stunning, it’s just like the pictures (if not better!). We had a lovely peaceful break away from our regular city life. We will definitely be back!

  • Everything about Rosie's Retreat is perfect, from the stylish, cosy cabin (which is spotlessly clean) and the fantastic hot tub with beautiful views to the daily visits from Rosie the cat and all the wonderful tips provided. Rosie greeted us on arrival and visited us each day, adding a wonderful aspect to the stay. The most amazing thoughtful touches just make this place absolutely perfect and we can't wait to return in the future.

  • Amazing stay at Rosies Retreat, perfect relaxing get away, with the nicest little touches. Such a lovely host who was there for anything that we needed! Couldn’t of asked for a more wonderful stay. Will definitely be visiting again!

    Hannah2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie's retreat was so so lovely. A warm welcome, easy check in, cake, biscuits and so much more on arrival. We couldn't have asked for more. Beautiful views of the cornish fields with sheep and horses around. Just the most relaxing time we've had in a long while!! Elizabeth is a great host and we can't wait to go back.

    Natalie2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the hut. The hut was very clean and the little touches were lovely and thoughtful. Great communication from the host. Would absolutely recommend this place for a perfect little getaway in a beautiful setting. Very sad to leave on our last morning.

    Natalie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely cosy winter break here and were really impressed with the hut! It had everything we needed and we were really impressed by the thoughtful touches by Liz the host! She was really helpful and gave us loads of local recommendations! It was the perfect escape and we couldn’t recommend it enough!

    Matt2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the hut for 5 nights over New Year’s Eve and cannot fault the stay. Prior to the stay Elizabeth was really helpful with info about the stay and directions, and on arrival there were little treats for us which was lovely to arrive to after a long journey! The hut was spotless, warm and had a really homely feel. The hot tub was an added bonus! We got to meet Rosie the cat too, who was absolutely adorable. Elizabeth provided loads of information about the local area, like things to do and where to eat, which was really useful. We hope to go back to the hut in the near future - it was the perfect getaway

    Ellie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We stayed at Liz’s place for a relaxing break a few days before Christmas and it way exceeded our expectations! The Shepherd’s Hut is perfectly located, and is filled with loads of lovely touches - including fresh lemon cake and Prosecco! The hot tub is a delight after a day out walking. If you’re wondering whether to book...do it!

We offer a unique stay in a traditional Romany caravan furnished with some mod cons to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The caravan has electric stove, lights, television,DVD player and tea making facilities. There is a seperate bathroom with towels, robes and toiletries supplied. There is also a day cabin overlooking the meadow and woodland with a fine array of wildlife to be seen.Enjoy a romantic escape in a peaceful location but close to all amenities with Cornwall's famed coastline, surfing beaches and coastal footpath less than 2 miles away .Half a mile away is the historic Stannery village of Stratton with 2 pubs and a village store. Genuine Cornish pasties are available at the farm shop ,also about half a mile away ,and of course in Bude itself which ,while still retaining the charm of an oldfashioned seaside town ,has shops, restaurants, banks and pubs.We would highly recommend a visit to the nearby picturesque fishing villages of Boscastle and Clovelly.Or for those who may like to venture a little further afield there are the worldwide famed restaurants of Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Newquay and Rick Stein's fish restaurant at Padstow. These are both within easy driving distance ,as is the The Eden Project and Heligan Gardens, two further highlights of this beautiful part of the world.
  • For a wonderful quirky getaway this is a lovely place to stay. Liz and jan the hosts are wonderful couple. It's in a lovely location near lots of lovely places.

    Suzanne2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a rather special offering! If you don't like the idea of a Romany caravan, you obviously won't stay here, but it's the romantic of you who will love it. You are very close to nature and the garden is lovely, all created by Jan himself, including digging out the large pond. We saw a heron there one day. The whole setting is lovely. The breakfast provided in the cabin next to the caravan was great - cold meats, croissants, etc. and Liz and Jan could not have been more helpful and friendly, while not intrusive - the space is your own. This is a bit of an adventure - not just accommodation! Sort of 'out in the wild', although just a 5-10 min drive to 'civilisation' in Bude.

    John2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing piece of art with a lot of thoughtful touches. Me and my wife spent two days in this wonderland. Liz and Jan were away for the weekend, but they made sure that all was taken care including our breakfasts. Enid Blyton stories influenced me a lot during my childhood. I had only dreamt of staying in a gypsy caravan, but now the dream has come true. Thanks once again to Liz and Jan...

  • Liz and Jan are perfect hosts - with great local tips, a beautiful location and the incredible breakfast. Bude is such a beautiful part of the world and staying here really allowed us to live like a local. Thank you!

    Sam2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a cool space! This is like glamping in a professional botanical garden. You have three separate spaces: the caravan for sleeping, the separate lounge/eating area and the bathroom. You do have to go outside to access each, so if the weather is foul this might be a bit unpleasant. We felt a bit cramped in the bed and you can hear traffic from the road, but overall we were enchanted by the beauty of this space. Liz offered a wonderful assortment of foods for breakfast and we really enjoyed staying there! The hang out space overlooking the garden is a fantastic space to read and relax. We also enjoyed being close to fantastic hiking on the coast which was a highlight of our trip.

    Joanne2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I LOVED staying here. The caravan was super cute and cosy with so many thoughtful touches. The breakfast supplied was equally as lovely and Liz is a fabulous host. We visited some great country pubs and went on beautiful coastal walks. We also visited the local towns of Tintagel, Crackington Haven, and Boscastle, which were only a short drive away. This is a great place to stay if you like peace and quiet and want a relaxing holiday.

    Rosie2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was our return visit and we loved it just as much as the first time! Lovely personal touches and fantastic breakfast. Thank you!

  • A charming, cosy and comfortable space - truly gorgeous even in miserable weather! The location is peaceful and relaxing, the perfect place to unwind. We especially loved looking out and seeing lambs in the neighbouring fields. We would definitely recommend to family and friends. Thanks Kevin & Sarah!

  • My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the luxury hut on the hill. It was spotlessly clean with great facilities in a peaceful setting. The thoughtful touches such as the scones, milk and eggs were greatly appreciated! Thanks to Sarah and Kevin for a lovely chilled couple of days.

  • We had a fantastic weekend. Amazing accommodation with lovely touches. We loved the cream tea on arrival. The hosts were very helpful and were on hand should we have needed anything. Great location with stunning views. Highly recommended. We would definitely go back.

  • Amazingly beautiful place and lovely hosts!

    Andreas2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best AirBnBs I have stayed in. Great facilities in a great location. Very clean and spacious, the ideal weekend get away. The hot tub is dreamy, get it lit and enjoy the view, even persevere in poor weather it is well worth it. Great location with great access to local towns and amenities. The Bush Inn is close for dinner out, it is workable when the weather is good, but equally a simple and short drive.

    Robert2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely recommend this place - the photos don’t do the setting justice, even in less than glorious weather! Kevin and Sarah were great through the whole booking process, and had great pub recommendations.

    Andrew2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a lovely weekend at the shepherds hut. Absolutely loved our time here. The complementary eggs and cream tea were much appreciated. We loved having sheep as our neighbours and really enjoyed the quietness and tranquility. The hut is close to the SW Coastal path and we spent one day hiking to Bude - not for the faint hearted, but also highly recommended. We had a fantastic stay and hope to come back again in the summer.

This beautiful, hand crafted wooden cabin on wheels has everything you need for the perfect getaway. With direct access to footpaths leading on to the south west coast path, this is an ideal bolthole for walking or surfing holidays or just the perfect excuse to get away from it all. The tiny house sits in a quiet corner on our family farm in North Cornwall, just over 2 miles from the coast.
Our Tiny House is a beautiful wooden building 2.5m by 7m, situated on our small family farm. The walls, floor and roof are fully insulated and windows double glazed for winter stays. Inside there’s a full kitchen, living room area with a sofa bed and bathroom complete with shower and toilet. A ladder leads to the sleeping loft with a large double bed. The Tiny House was built 3 years ago as a ‘zero-footprint’ mobile studio on wheels and is powered by solar with gas for hot water. Our aim is to make it as eco-friendly as possible. The property is wired for 12 volt only, but we have now added the option to charge smaller 240v items like laptops etc via an extension lead to the house. There are also six USB points for charging phones and two cigar lighter sockets for other 12 volt equipment if required. Our Tiny House is a simple, comfortable retreat away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life. It has a cute private garden with deck and BBQ. Set away from the house, a 200m walk across the next field is a large deck and hammock looking out, down the valley which is perfect for enjoying a sunset drink, with a fire pit area perfectly positioned to sit and watch the sunset over the sea, and when dusk gives way to night, the fantastic display of stars. Whilst the tiny house is located on our remote farm surrounded only by fields, it is just 5 minutes from the A39, giving good access to the rest of beautiful Devon and Cornwall. The unspoilt nature reserve adjacent is the perfect place to walk and explore – a 2.5 mile walk will take you to the beautiful Marsland Mouth (where the Cornish coast path begins). A 40 minute walk across the valley sits the picturesque old village of Welcombe and fantastic pub, The Old Smithy. There are plenty of other amazing walks, beaches, pubs and places of interest nearby. Clovelly, Bude, Hartland, Tintagel and Boscastle are all within 40 minutes’ drive. Please note that any reviews before June 2019 refer to where the tiny house was previously located. This spot (only 200m away) is still available to use, exclusively for guests staying in the tiny house and has a driftwood deck, fire pit and hammock area. The tiny house is now found on the edge of the farm itself. You will still have the benefit of your own private entrance and private garden, but you may hear more farm type noises during the day! The description and pictures have been updated to reflect this and the pictures you see in the listing with sea view are of the old site which you are able to use.
The house is situated on our family farm, at the end of a small road. We are surrounded by green fields and woodland on all sides, with fantastic views looking west down the valley out to sea. Just 200m to the North is Marsland Valley Nature Reserve, which forms the north Devon-Cornwall border. Welcombe (Devon) and Morwenstow (Cornwall) are both quiet, friendly villages with rugged coastal walks, great cycle routes and cute old pubs.
  • The tiny house is really lovely, very comfortable and so cleverly made. We found it a great location for walking a tiny bit of the South West Coast Path and visiting the great beach at Sandymouth. As others have said, our only regret was having to go back to 'real' life so soon!

    Louise2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, warm and a fantastic opportunity to get away from the rat race. We loved it here and would happily go back. For our first ever Airbnb stay we could not have had a better experience. Living in central Birmingham a place in the middle of "knowhere" was just what we needed.

    Jacqui & Jon2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is absolutely lovely and very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was really nice and cosy in the evenings with the log burner and just a great space to relax in.

    Gillian2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved staying here, really cute place, and the wood burner heated up amazingly well. Had everything needed for a quick getaway, my only regret is not booking longer. Welcombe beach nearby is amazing and the road on the way there is also very beautiful. Would definitely stay again :)

  • The Tiny House is wonderful! Spotless, cosy and a great rural escape

    Laura2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for three nights in the tiny house and had a wonderful time. The house is very well-equipped and designed. David told us that it was made bespoke by a local engineer and you can tell - the space works perfectly. The kitchen has everything you need, the beds are very comfy and the wood-burning stove was absolutely brilliant for warming up the living space in the evenings. This is a perfect location for exploring the wild coastline around Morwenstow and Hartland Quay. If you get chance, go with David on a coastal walk and get lots of local info as well as a beautiful hike over stunning cliffs. Thanks David and Maisie!

    Gill2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cosy tiny house! We arrived late after travelling down and Maisie and David had left the light on for us and left it unlocked so we could get in. The fire had been set up ready for us and the table had a booklet of information for us which was very helpful. The bed was so comfy and for a wooden house, the heat was trapped perfectly even during Storm Denis. The only thing we weren’t expecting was the shower not being hands-free. Washing your hair one handed was a little tricky and ended up balancing the shower head on the mixer to wash my hair, then the rest of your body gets cold when it’s not under the water. Other than that, we loved it! Thank you for letting us stay ❤️

    Gemma2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and cozy tiny house with a well laid out kitchen close to the beach with many areas to explore around with the car. We were able to heat it nicely even during storm Ciara.

This detached cottage is in the shade of a beautiful old oak tree (see aerial picture) and surrounded by gardens, woodlands and pasture. Ideally situated for exploring the countryside, moors and coasts of North Devon and further afield. Great WiFi for those wishing to work during the day, and no near neighbours (apart from the hosts) who leave guests to relax and enjoy the rural and quiet surroundings.
Tucked away in a small village in North Devon, Little Buckland Cottage has a fully fitted kitchen opening out to the living room, with a sun room and terrace for when the weather is a little warmer. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the master bedroom is spacious and the second bedroom is small with a double bed. The bathroom is in between and has a bath with shower above.
Wonderful scenery and no near neighbours means we have peace and quiet in abundance, great WiFi for working during the day! Shops are within easy reach and the main supermarkets deliver here.
  • We had a fantastic time at Nicola and Simon's beautiful property. The owners are just lovely and so incredibly thoughtful - nothing was too much trouble, they made us a lovely chocolate cake for our arrival and gave us fantastic tips for places to visit locally. The property itself is just a delight, cosy and perfectly equipped. I almost don't want to leave such a great review because I want it to be available next time we want to stay!!

  • Lovely cottage, great host with lots of thoughtful touches. Will definitely return in the future.

  • On arrival Nicola the host was there to welcome us both what a lovely lady , made sure we were settled and that we had everything we needed and if we needed anything to let her know it was no trouble , once inside this beautiful idyllic cottage very modern inside and of a very high standard , was a lovely home made cake for us and some fresh eggs from there chickens , Nicola could not have been a more welcoming host as she was going to the shop asked if we needed a paper or anything she would pick up for us , the cottage is in a quiet wooded area with beautiful country side and walks for the dog , which we loved ,beautiful beaches , book for yourself , we will definitely be returning again 10/10

  • Simply superb. Nicola's hospitality is amazing - by far the best we have ever had on Airbnb and it was be considered exceptional for a 5 star hotel! Really dog friendly and generally relaxed environment. Absolutely spotless on arrival. Great tips throughout our stay. It couldn't have been better

  • Amazing stay in beautiful little cottage. Is even better than the pictures. Host is so friendly, helpful, bought us a morning newspaper and delivered a well received lemon cake. Good local tips. Great location to escape for some peace with dog walks through forest from the front door but close to beaches and other attractions as well. Could not recommend enough.

  • Lovely cottage, host is very helpful and lovely

  • It’s always such a relief when a property turns out to be just as you had hoped and this was the case for us. Down quiet Devon lanes, amidst stunning woodlands and fields it was a perfect getaway for us with lots of lovely places to visited if we wanted to. Nicola and Simon were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed without intruding. Perfect summer tonic.

  • Comfortable, cosy and peaceful, with great friendly hosts. Set in very rural location but good for Devon and N Cornwall....we loved it.

Our luxurious romantic shepherd's hut and wood-fired hot tub is available all year round. We provide you with everything we think you will need for your stay ~ beautiful french linen bedding, towels, bathrobes, hair dryer, fairy lights and all the wood for the wood-burner and hot-tub. Awaiting your arrival is a delicious complimentary Cornish cream tea and a chilled bottle of Prosecco, log burner and secluded hot tub, perfectly positioned for the beautiful views. Min night stay 2 nights.
Hutterly Beautiful is the perfect summer and winter retreat - for the chillier days, light the log-burner and cosy down with a glass of wine and a good book – and for those sunny days the secluded outdoor space enables you to enjoy the sunshine and the fantastic views. The top step is the perfect place to sit with a cup of tea and drink in the scenery. Hutterly Beautiful is 18 ft of self contained loveliness. It has been hand-built by a local craftsman to our specification. There is an en-suite shower room with loo, heated towel rail, wash basin, towels and bath robes. The bedroom area is snug and cosy ~ king size bed, individual reading lights, USB plug and a window to enjoy far reaching views. There is a bench with a table that slides out from under the bed and a hobbit log burning stove to help keep you toasty all year round. A fully equipment kitchen which includes butler sink, oven/microwave, hob, fridge with small ice freezer, kettle, toaster, glasses, hand-painted crockery, and cutlery. Outside sits the amazing Swedish wood-fired Hikki hot tub, framed with festoon lights, a BBQ and separate seating area. There is also a wood store where the logs, kindling, firelighters, matches, BBQ coals and spare candles are kept.
Our farmhouse is located close by and there are a couple of houses dotted around us but you are mainly surrounded by lush, green pastures. The field next to the hut will occasionally have dairy cows in it. The village of Stratton is just over a mile away and the quaint seaside town of Bude is over 3 miles. We have a white cat called Brian, who you might see around.
  • We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Hutterly Beautiful! Fiona and Rob have thought of everything and the hut is decorated beautifully with all of the luxuries of a 5 star hotel while still maintaining the character and uniqueness of a shepherds hut. Their extra touches - like the cosy slipper socks and a cream tea and bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival - made our stay so special! We didn’t have the best weather but we really didn’t care as we loved relaxing in the cosy hut with the roaring fire and spending the cold rainy evenings in the amazing hot tub - where you get an incredible view of the sunset if you time it right! We enjoyed everything about our stay and we hope to be back in the future! Thank you Fiona and Rob 😊

    Lauren2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We booked Hutterly Beautiful as a last minute break when our holiday was cancelled and it completely exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely spotless, beautifully designed & had everything you could possibly need. Fiona was an brilliant host, she was extremely welcoming and made our stay so relaxing. The hot tub is such a lovely bonus with amazing views over Bude. I can't recommend it enough, we are feeling very relaxed now!

    Jess2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Hutterly Beautiful for our first wedding anniversary. It was absolutely perfect in every way. The space itself it’s beautiful and finished to an incredible spec, the extra touches were very thoughtful and greatly appreciated and Fiona is a fabulous host. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days exploring Cornwall and relaxing on our return. We hope to return again one day 😊 thanks so much Fiona! X

  • Absolutely beautifully finished Shepard’s hut in a beautiful location. Cream tea andProsecco awaited us on arrival and Rob was there to greet us and show us around. Shops and local town of Bude only a 5-10 min drive away and plenty of places to eat out close by. Fiona was very attentive and could not have done any more to make our stay extra special. Would certainly recommend and will be back for sure!

    Will2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona’s Shepherd’s Hut was fantastic. I spent ages trying to find the perfect place for a special weekend and it didn’t disappoint. The hut itself is really cosy and beautifully presented. The view are lovely and the wood-fired hot tub is a great place to chill for an hour or two, feeling more authentic than a standard one. Fiona was also a very welcoming and friendly host. Would highly recommend.

    Alex2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this little gem for me and the Mrs as I was in the dog house! Fiona & Rob were amazing hosts & I can’t recommend The hut enough. Night time hot tub was cracking fun, it even remained boiling hot even when we were getting battered by horizontal rain and sleet. The 2nd night was really clear and crisp as we spent hours chatting and star gazing from the comfort of the hot tub again. The best thing is that now I am out of the dog house for at least another 2 weeks! Guys, book it and surprise her with a last minute trip. You won’t regret it! Fiona & Rob......Thank you

    David2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely hosts and in a picturesque location with great views, very close to local beaches with plenty of places to eat. Will definitely be staying here again.

    Billy2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly, I just wanted to say how kind and accommodating Fiona and Rob are, allowing us to change our dates following a family bereavement. They truly are wonderful hosts in every way! The hut is spectacular, the perfect peaceful getaway. Even in January we had fabulous views over the sea and stars while using the wood-fired hot tub, which is glorious! The log burner in the hut kept us nice and warm, and the added treats left by Fiona were such a thoughtful touch. Even the books and games in the hut are great! I couldn’t recommend it anymore highly. We hope to come back again soon!

However, they are well trained and didn’t bother me, in fact I really liked them! Great hosts and felt very relaxed. Fantastic bedroom with en-suite and views over the lake.

There’s something magical about cosying up as a family and watching a log burner flicker after a busy day. Cranny Cottage is perfect for those of you looking to escape the hustle and bustle and just embrace Cornwall living. Set on the beautiful East Thorne resort not far from sandy Bude, this home from home manages to blend contemporary living with a laidback feel. Step into the open plan living space and you’ll feel a world away from home. There’s space aplenty for the kids to put their feet up after a busy day of adventuring, and the kitchen’s spacious enough to inspire even the most reluctant of chefs! Play your favourite playlists via the Bluetooth sound system, and when it’s time to call it a night, two welcoming bedrooms await upstairs. One of the best things about East Thorne is that there’s plenty to keep you entertained on those days when you feel like staying close to your cottage. The volleyball net will keep the kids busy for hours on end, and the games room means they can let off steam and make new friends whatever the weather. There’s a shared garden (perfect for a snooze on the grass while the sun kisses your skin) and the shared campfire gives a sense of adventure to every visitor. There’s nothing better than unwinding in front of the fire and catching up with new friends after a busy day. Speaking of busy days, you’ll find some of Cornwall’s most spectacular beaches just a short drive from East Thorne. With Summerleaze, Crooklets and Widemouth Bay all just a short journey away by car, this is definitely a holiday for the beach bums amongst you.

  • Great little cottage complete with comfy beds and log burner. Clean and warm. We had a warm welcome from site staff. Our visit was in Feb and it was very stormy weather - but there are lots of outdoor facilities you could take advantage of it you visited later in the spring / summer e.g. fire pit area, outdoor eating, barbecues and giant tables for group seating. 15mins to lovely local sandy beaches with v interesting geology.

We had a very helpful check in and tour even though we didn't get there until 20:30 which we really appreciated! Would definitely stay here again if I'm back near the coast in the future.

We have a quaint Devon home situated near beaches, Moors and cute villages. The house faces onto a road, but the room is at the back of the house so you can’t hear the traffic. We’re a stones throw away from Launceston which used to be the capital of Cornwall (there’s castle ruins!) Being in the southwest there is no public transport, so you’ll need to drive to get around. There is however a village shop that sells the essentials just a 3 minute walk from the house.
Our home is unique in the fact that we are pretty much on the border of Cornwall and Devon. So we’re in an ideal location in regards to all the fab places you’ll want to visit while you’re here.
Our little village is quite adorable. There is a little post office which you can get a few bits like milk and bread if you don’t want to drive to the shops. The people are super friendly and if you really wanted, there is a village hall which has activities like yoga and boules for those who want the PROPER village experience ;)

We were able to use the bathroom to ourselves which was great too. Breakfast was beautifully laid out, plenty of options and we were able to prepare our own self-service breakfast which was great. An ideal stay for a weekend away in North Cornwall

Me and my partner arrived late and so just went straight to bed, but had we been less tired would have made use of the spectacular views and fantastic hospitality. The room was equipped with tea/coffee facilities, comfortable bedding and is very quiet at night. We slept really well. We also had our own modern bathroom with a powerful shower. Highly recommended.

  • You can’t want for much more when staying at this lovely home. Sue and her husband, Patrick were the most kind and thoughtful hosts and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. The residence is the perfect bolthole to explore all that the area has to offer. In addition, Sue and Patrick‘s knowledge of what to do and where to go is invaluable and helped ensure that we had the very best holiday. They went out of their way to make their home welcoming for our two children who were delighted to help feed their pigs, sheep and hens. The garden is fabulous and a welcome space to relax after a busy day exploring. The delicious home cooked breakfasts with their very own ingredients were amazing. We couldn’t have asked for more and will definitely return.

  • Both Susan and Patrick were perfect hosts! They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and were so kind, and flexible. The breakfast was a lovely selection of homemade products. Beautiful views, gorgeous garden, and very comfortable beds! We would highly recommend staying at Coachman’s cottage. Many thanks Sophie and Paula

  • Susan and her husband were amazing hosts! Their home is so cozy with a beautiful garden and farm that they were kind enough to show us. Both are extremely warm and helpful. The house fantastic and the morning breakfast they prepare is delicious! We really enjoyed our stay and they were so helpful in providing tips on places to see! Overall a wonderful experience! Thank you for everything.

  • Lovely place to stay! Fantastic garden and living space. Patrick & Susan are fab hosts! They made our kids feel so welcome and took the time out to show us around the animals (which are out of the way at the end of the garden). Breakfast was delicious, best cooked breakfast I’ve had in a long time. We had such a lovely experience as first time Air B&B’ers & can’t wait to return 😊

Great powerful shower was a welcome addition after the rainy days spent walking the coast. Parting gift was a thoughtful touch. Will be back and recommend to friends and family. First Air BnB used and was not disappointed!

    Wendy2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The property is exactly as expected with high quality and very clean. The heating was a not working at one point and the hosts sorted out the problem very quickly and efficiently. I also left a charger which Kirsty promptly put in the post at no cost to us. A great all round experience and I would recommend as a great place to stay.

    Melanie2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Swift Barn for 3 nights over the Christmas break. After reading the detailed description and previous excellent reviews we found the accommodation as advertised. It is very spacious downstairs and you will find all what you may need in the kitchen. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch too. Evywhere was spotless, the towels are thick and fluffy and the duvets very comfy! Please be aware that the upstairs is in the eaves of the barn and that height is a little restricted in 2 of the bedrooms. Our children loved the games room more but unfortunately the weather was not kind enough for us to use the enormous climbing frame outside. We enjoyed our stay and it was exactly what we needed to spend Christmas with our family in a nearby village.

  • Excellent stay in a lovely well thought out barn conversion. Very peaceful and relaxing, wonderfully rural in quiet surroundings (apart from the birds singing!). Scones, cream and home made jam supplied by the host were very, very welcome and much enjoyed as was the milk, tea, herbal tea and coffee (little touches that make a big difference). Our dog was made welcome and he also enjoyed his stay. Very comfortable bed, well laid out kitchen and great facilities, etc. Hope to visit again (& maybe the weather will be kinder!). • Cheryl’s place is a lovely cottage, I could have moved in. The cottage has everything you need for your stay. Little extra touches like toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, cleaning supplies. An extra special welcome will be waiting for you. The views are spectacular and this really is a getaway from everything. The weather wasn’t as nice as we’d hoped which meant we spent less time exploring but more time at this lovely property. The bed was comfy and the room spacious. Kitchen space is perfect for cooking and dining in with views over the open countryside. We hope to return.

  • The pictures really don't do this place justice! Cheryl's barn is beautiful and so nicely done out with such thoughtful little touches. In spite of the dreadful weather while we were there, the barn was so cosy and a little sanctuary to retreat to in the evenings. We met Cheryl on arrival, who was really welcoming and made us feel right at home. I hope we get to visit again - perhaps when we can sit outside and enjoy the views!

    Hayley2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

  • We had a lovely break at Skyber Barnacott to see in the new year with friends. The place is very modern and stylishly decorated throughout. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The bedrooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 dogs. Skyber Barnacott is very well situated and only 10 minutes to Bude where we had a lovely day out on New Years Eve. We ordered a takeaway pizza on our first night from La Bocca Pizza who delivered to the house and we would highly recommend. Delicious! I think guests should be aware that there are no rubbish collections from the place so you have to take all your rubbish to the local tip during your stay. This was not communicated prior to our stay and, whilst we managed to dispose of our waste, this was difficult as we stayed over new year when the tip was closed so had to do a tip run on the morning of checkout making the morning a bit rushed. I would recommend staying at Skyber Barnacott as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic time there.

  • Anyone wanting an amazing stay away please look no further. This cottage has all you need. We have just spent the week there & it was fantastic very stylish clean comfortable & has everything you need. So if you want a great summer holiday or a break away for the Christmas markets coming up. Then this is the place for you. We would definitely stay there again .

  • Really lovely space for our family holiday. Stylish yet comfortable. Everywhere was wonderfully clean when we arrived and there is a brilliantly equipped kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and we found the whole space very relaxing.

  • An absolutely beautiful cottage that has been tastefully furnished, and just so comfortable to stay in. We cooked each night at the cottage and had everything we needed. There was a welcome supply of tea, coffee, sugar and milk along with dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, soaps, and one loo roll per bathroom. A real home from home, and would recommend this beautiful cottage.

  • Skyber Barnacott cottage is a very clean and beautifully presented property. It is in a great location close to the village of Kilkhampton and within a few miles of Sandymouth beach and Bude town centre. It has a very comfortable and spacious living area and has lots of amenities - it was a real ‘home from home’.

The Water Mill is close to the North Cornwall coast, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor on the banks of the river Tamar. The building is steeped in history and is named in the Doomsday Book. You’ll love the location, the ambiance, and the views. My place is good for couples. Peaceful and quiet with beautiful gardens to relax in, grazing for horses, fishing in the Tamar, picturesque countryside to explore and numerous places to visit nearby; you will really love it here.
The Water Mill is a grade 2 listed building - last used to mill grain in 1943. The machinery and many of the tools used for milling remain in place. The accommodation combines modern facilities and absolute comfort, amidst the historic setting of the Mill.
This is a rural community, peaceful and quiet.
  • Wow, this place is SPECIAL! If you are looking for a remote hideaway in stunning countryside but with all the mod cons then this is the place. We had 3 nights here and wish we had more. The Mill has been beautifully converted and has retained lots of the old charm of the building but is incredibly comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen has everything you need, like a home from home - or better! And the upstairs open plan living area is stunning. You have access to the main house's gardens and lots of lovely footpaths nearby leading to the river and local woodland. It's a truly magical spot and Maureen and Paul are really friendly and incredibly accommodating. We will certainly be returning again to Boyton Mill for more R&R time. Thank you sharing such a special place. Alex & Lanx

  • Fantastic place to stay...great value for money....can’t recommend it enough.....

    John2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Watermill is very well restored to give a very cosy place. The upstairs is a very large space with the lounge and bedroom with a huge Queen cosy bed. The log burner is a plus but however not necessarily needed as heating very efficient. The kitchen has all equipment needed for your stay. Its location is quiet next to river Tamar & surrounded by fields & a small wood. Its ideal for couples who want to get away with great walks or an easy drive to Bodmin moor and Bude on northern coast of Cornwall.

  • Beautiful, cosy converted barn in a stunning and peaceful rural location. Sarah and her husband were outstanding hosts; extremely welcoming, kind and generous people. The barn was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable and we can't recommend it highly enough. We had a lovely time and we would love to stay there again, thank you very much Sarah!

    Alex2019-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful accomodation and amazing views, we would definately stay again. There was a little bit of confusion on the air b&b site as it mentioned breakfast was included, this was not the case, it didn't ruin our stay though. We did have a welcoming cream tea with scones, jam and real cream, also there was fresh bread and locally sourced eggs. we highly recomend the Stables for a short break away or even longer.

Whether you want a quiet romantic break for two, dining overlooking Dartmoor, or if you want to take the family away to enjoy, walking, cycling, archery, water activities, horse riding or sampling the local tipple and plenty more in the local area, then you’ll certainly enjoy your stay at Lakeview.
A truly tranquil setting. Enjoy breakfast on the terrace, hearing the delightful bird songs. Then why not enjoy a splash in the indoor pool or spend the day fishing in the well stocked private lake. Stroll to the local pub to sample some local tipple with a hearty meal. With the spectacular Dartmoor views from the terrace, why not share a bottle of wine until the sun sets, then enjoy the amazing stars and silence.
The neighbourhood is quiet and somewhere to relax and chill out. It is rural with some fascinating wild life and birds which enjoy being fed.
  • Perfect base for exploring the Dartmoor area. Some great doggie walks including Fernworthy reservoir & Castle Drogo a short drive away. Bude beach was worth a visit although less dog friendly in summer months. Lots of info & ideas for days out & walking routes provided which was really helpful. The swimming pool was great. Would recommend The Half Moon in Sheepwash for food & friendly locals.

    Kerrie2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, secluded spot. The pool is fantastic. We went in winter so we didn’t experience the best weather but I can imagine the summer here would be amazing. Local pub in sheepwash is really good. Id happily stay again.

2 Lakeview Rise is a fully furnished one-bedroom holiday cottage offering home-from-home accommodation in an idyllic rural setting. There is an open-plan lounge-diner, fitted kitchen, one double bedroom, bathroom with shower and WC and a private decked area with table and chairs and a stunning view across the surrounding countryside. Private parking for one car, wifi, a communal indoor heated swimming pool, a coarse fishing lake, laundry room, children's play area and picnic tables.
Lakeview Rise is situated approximately 20 minutes from the picturesque market towns of Holsworthy and Okehampton. The location offers excellent access to both Dartmoor – 20 minutes – and the North coast beaches – approximately 25 minutes. There is a wealth of interesting places to visit in the area as well as hikes and bicycle trails nearby. Highampton's pub has limited opening times. The closest pub food is at the very good Half Moon in Sheepwash, which is about 1.5 Miles away. Unfortunately the village shop has shut down. Black Torrington has a small shop. Okehampton has a Coop, Waitrose and Lidl. The north Devon beaches, Dartmoor National Park and am abundance of small villages are all close by. There is an information pack in the cottage and a selection of brochures advertising local attractions.
  • Went for a Valentine’s get away and it was a great experience. The place was clean, well furnished and felt very homey. It could get a little chilly sometimes, even with the radiators on, however Helen has provided two small heaters which warm the place up in no time! The pool was very spacious and clean. Despite us going in February it was rather warm! There were plenty of films and board games available inside the cottage which was great for us as we were hit by the storms and were stuck inside. The kitchen was properly kitted out, even having scales for us to use whilst baking. Last but not least, Helen and Michael always provided quick responses to any of our queries, and were extremely understanding when we notified them of us being a little late arriving. We couldn’t be any happier with our stay!

    Taylor2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quiet location. Beautiful walks. Fabulous pool. The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lovely views from the terrace. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again.

  • Very cosy and rural accommodation, perfect for relaxing on the decking - even when the weather turned during our stay we enjoyed getting cosy watching the rain through the large patio doors while watching TV.

We visited Bude, Port Isaac, Clovelly, Dartmoor National Park, Okehampton Castle to name a few. The Half Moon Inn did great food. Thank you for our lovely stay.

  • Had a wonderful stay. House was as expected. Enough room for two people. Really nice to see a good quality cooker and a dishwasher in a small house, not many places have that! Gorgeous area. Pool was nice and warm. We got lucky with the weather and visited some of the local beaches. All in all a great stay. Great value. Very sad to leave.

The accommodation comprises a large kitchen/living area and a large bedroom with a king size bed with en-suite shower room. It is a very rural location but only half an hour or less to the coast, either the north Devon coast or the Cornish coast.

  • The studio is delightfully comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you could need, the bed is comfortable and the duvet lovely and warm. The log fire was ready for us to light on arrival which was very welcome, and the breakfast bits were a lovely touch (the bread and butter were especially delicious). Thanks so much for your hospitality Sara.

  • We only booked this place about two hours before we decided to go away on the spur of the moment, and we were more than pleasantly surprised at how lucky we were to stumble upon such a great find at such short notice. Puddleduck farm not only has a great name but also a lot of character and charm and was an ideal location to both relax and unwind as well as a base from which to explore the nearby coastline. Our hosts, Helen and Zoe, were discrete but helpful and they have furnished the place with tons of character and individuality. The kitchen in particular is exceptionally well equipped and they left more than sufficient goodies to enjoy a nice breakfast.

  • Brilliant hosts, fabulous house, superb extra touches which made our short stay idyllic. Perfect for small families, with all the animals on site it was a 3 year old paradise to wake up and go and see goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, guinea pigs and so many more beautiful animals. We will be recommending them on highly to all our friends and family as this place is just ace.

An ecological and completely off grid experience designed for working 20 acres of private woodland. Accessed by a 200-metre natural walk through the woods, this is part of its beauty. It can get muddy in winter. A bespoke retreat made with hand tools by a female artist and x partner. A showcase of sustainable living. Compost toilet through the garden, solar power, borehole and woodburner. Simple technology bringing you close to nature few other places can. It is private with no near neighbours.
A real retreat. It is a work in progress, an installation, there are still some things that need finishing off. It is an interactive space where you use the woodburner to heat your water and living space. The water comes from rainwater barrels and there is spring water for drinking straight from a gravity fed borehole, so very environmentally friendly. Use an ecologically sound compost toilet. Be relaxed in the knowledge that you are benefiting the environment by simply living. Simple solar power allows basic lighting and charging of mobile phones. There is no provision for wifi. Using mostly recycled materials, it is unique. There is a table to work on. Herbal teas are provided from the land and some to sell. In return, you can experience peace and tranquility and the privacy of your own wilderness. The large kitchen has a 2 ring gas cooker, there is no oven and the kitchen has no heating. In the summer the sliding doors open it up to the garden. Comfortable and creative living space with open plan dormitory loft. Conservatory and decking for outdoor dining. Your presence will enable this place to be developed with conservation, recycling and ecology in mind. This place can be used as a writers and artists space or simply to relax and enjoy nature. Please bring wellies, as you will be walking through the land to access the Retreat as there are no human-made paths. There is firewood for the woodburner. The Retreat has pots. pans, cutlery, crockery and most other kitchen implements. Soap, tea towels, toilet rolls, hot water bottle. Basic foodstuffs: herbal tea, black tea, powdered milk, salt and pepper, oil, honey. (There is no fridge, it has a cool cupboard)
Dartmoor is nearby The most remote part of England 20 miles to beaches The Arts and Crafts Winsford Cottage hospital. • Nice little spot to escape and disconnect from everything. Hidden away so very peaceful and quiet.

  • A place to relax and switch off, it was a perfect weekend away even though there was a storm all weekend we still had the best time, amazing fireplace which keeps the entire cabin so warm - would highly recommend for those who love to be around nature. Quirky little homemade cabin with no electric and basic amenities, great to get away from everything! will be back sometime in the future.

  • This is such a lovely and special place to stay. It's really inspiring to see all the work it's taken and we loved the chance to enjoy it's simplicity.

  • A beautiful handmade house in a serene woodland setting. Lovely touches throughout the house and the stove kept us very warm at night.

  • Julie's woodland retreat is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all if you're looking for some back-to-basics R&R. It's set in a lovely little woodland with a garden where you can forage for fresh herbs and relax out on the decking. The cabin itself is lovely with all the amenities you could need, plus a few extra touches like board games and freshly picked teas in the kitchen. It's worth noting that although there is basic lighting, there are no plug sockets for charging appliances, only a USB port for a phone. Julie was very helpful and attentive whenever we had questions. There's a supermarket around 15 mins drive away and a few pubs nearby too. Overall a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!
