  • Nanette and Sebastian were excellent hosts and their place was perfect for a weekend away. We loved the charm of the wood fire place and views of the surrounding mountains. Would definitely come back again!

  • AS ADVERTISED. Nanette and Sebastian were fantastic hosts, and the space was just as cozy as it looks. Great communication, a wealth of knowledge of the area including scenery and restaurants, and very hospitable. Can't recommend their cabin enough, we can't wait to come back!

    Nicholas2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we touched upon arrival, the experience was easeful and snug. Nanette and Sebastian, welcomed us into their gem of a space. The woodstove fire kept the warmth and lighting of the cabin alive throughout the evening. We were surrounded by both; many words of authors, within the library and acres of land. The view of the sparkling stars by night and the peak of the mountains by day. Magical space with amazing hospitality. We will definitely be returning.

    Samantha2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here in February was just perfect - the cabin was cosy, warm, and fully equipped with everything we needed. Nanette and Sebastian (and their dogs!) were absolutely lovely and you couldn’t ask for better hosts. They were friendly and kind, the breakfast they prepared was delicious, and their recommendations for local restaurants were superb. The cabin itself was a great place to stay and we felt so peaceful just sitting by the fire and admiring the view. I would recommend this place to anybody in need of a restorative break from everyday life, and we will definitely be back again!

  • Nanette's small space was incredibly cozy on the snowy New Hampshire day that my boyfriend and I visited. It was exactly what we were looking for-- a winter, cottage-like experience in New England. Our hosts were so helpful explaining how the wood fireplace worked and at giving directions for local food suggestions in the nearest town. We arrived later than anticipated, as we made a few roadside stops, and Nanette promptly responded after each delay on our end, as we updated our arrival. It's always so nice when in-person checking in is this easy. Nanette included breakfast which was extremely convenient because of its remote location and also extremely nutritious and delicious-- much better than any restaurant we ate at for breakfast on our New England trip.

  • Awesome host, super friendly and helpful. Looking forward to booking again in the future

    Santiago2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I come here every winter for a serene getaway that can't be beat. The wood stove, the variety of books, the warm sheets and the even warmer hosts make this our favorite Airbnb!

    Vinnie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at Nanette and Sebastian’s cabin - we loved it so much we had booked another weekend right after our first stay. We couldn’t be happier that we found this charming cozy escape. The breakfasts each morning are delicious and so special. The wood stove is magical. The whole thing is such a great value. Book it - you won’t regret it! Thanks Nanette! We’ll be back!

Enjoy a relaxing stay in an 1850 farmhouse in beautiful Peterborough. The room is comfortably furnished with a queen bed and seating area with private bath. Coffee and tea service, as well as an in-room refrigerator/freezer give you many of the comforts of home. The private entrance leads to a small patio with seating area in a shade garden. Conveniently located just two miles from the heart of town where you'll find galleries, antique shops, yoga studios, live music, pubs, and more!
This property was originally a sheep farm, which is typical of southern NH. The house has an attached barn, adjoined by two smaller buildings that were originally used to store farm equipment. Attached barns are unique to a specific region of southern Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and northern Massachusetts. All of the buildings except for the barn have been updated for the comforts of modern living. We are actively working to restore the house and landscape, which in recent years had been neglected. We're happy to give you a tour of our projects and welcome your questions! All structures on the property are old frame timber. To protect against the risk of fire, we kindly ask that guests refrain from smoking anywhere on the premises. Use of open flames is prohibited. Vaping products are also not allowed. Thank you for observing these rules during your stay and helping us to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for future guests!
The house is the oldest building on this short stretch of road north of the hospital. Directly across the street is a wooded lot with maple and pine trees, which lends a feeling of rural quiet and fall color. Not far from the house, you can find the Contoocook River and a boat launch to the north, and Sheiling State Forest to the south. We have easy access to NH-Rte. 202, so you'll have no trouble getting out to explore the region!
  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Jan’s for a few nights while exploring the surrounding area. The space was very clean, and Jan even took extra precautions to sanitize everything due to the coronavirus outbreak. We loved the room, it was super cozy and the reading lights above the bed were really cool. The bathroom was really nice and there was extra towels in the bedroom. Lots of counter space and a large mirror. The guidebook in the bedroom was really helpful. That’s how we found our dinner the first night as we didn’t know much about the area yet. The maple syrup was extra thoughtful. Overall we had a great experience. Would definitely recommend! P.s. Cosmo is so adorable and talented :)

    Riley2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jan's place is clean, comfortable, and quaint. Located close to the hospital (the reason for my visit) and close to downtown restaurants and shops. If I return to the area, I will certainly stay here again.

    Erica E.2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The room was small and tidy, exactly what we needed and the perfect amount of space. It was extremely clean and everything was as amazing as expected!

    Dan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We decided to do an impromptu overnight before a snowshoeing hike the next day. Jan accommodated us last minute. Her suite is spotless and includes an adorable coffee and tea bar. Would definitely book with her again!

    Carolyn 2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jan's suite is the PERFECT spot for a weekend getaway. Its located just outside the lovely town of Peterborough, NH which has tasty restaurants with good brews and live music, a beautiful river walk, and fun shops, including the sweetest new&used bookstore. Its also a hop-skip-jump from Mount Monadnock - a gorgeous hike in all seasons. The suite itself is so comfortable and cozy, with lots of stylish and thoughtful touches. It's a quiet, private, and super clean space with plenty of room to relax, making in the perfect homebase for great New England adventures. Jan was even kind enough to provide coffee and tea, which made the morning even better. Can't say enough good things - stay here!!

    Emma2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean. A cozy space with a lot of thoughtful touches. Tea, coffee, water are available along with extra blankets and towels. It is a very cozy space! Highly recommend!

    Amelia2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. It's a really charming and cozy hideaway with lots of privacy, just what we were looking for. Jan is a terrific host, she even accommodated our need for some extra space to fit a pack-and-play crib for our infant. The bed was super comfy. This is definitely better than a hotel room stay.

  • Rob and Kara's place is one of a kind. It was really clean and the room is really nice. I loved spending time with Connor and Skipper, from next door. All the amenities were great. Wi-Fi was solid, I was easily able to get work done! Overall, I would 100% recommend their place, so much so, I already have booked my upcoming stay in Summer.

    Adhish2020-03-09T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderful place to stay! Adorable spacious apartment with homey touches and a helpful host.

    Alison2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was the best host my dad and I could have ever asked for! She greeted us when we arrived, gave us a little tour, provided us with some breakfast food and home made cookies and even made a sweet welcome sign for us! The apartment was beautiful and cozy, and stocked well with everything we needed. When my dad cut his leg skiing and needed stitches, Karen helped us out a ton! She provided us with extra ice and baggies so my dad could ice his leg, and helped him get up the stairs. Very quick to respond and an absolute sweetheart! The apartment was roomy, super comfy and at such a great price! I wish I could give Karen 5000 *stars*!!

    Olivia2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • I’m an experienced Airbnber but Karen’s stood out for all the warm and special touches she offered from the homemade chocolate chip cookies to all the breakfast fixings to the sign welcoming us to the board games and movies to the notebook of suggestions. We prepared all our meals and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy and the place was quiet and welcoming in every way. Very close to Crotched Mountain where we skied. Highly recommended!

This magical place has been our home away from home for twenty years and we are excited to share it with you. We hope you'll experience the same time-out-of-time feeling we get when sitting out on the deck in the early morning or looking up on a moonless night as the Milky Way snakes its way across the dark sky. The house sits on seven mostly wooded acres that abut a scenic beaver pond. The property is located on a quiet unpaved road in rural New Hampshire.
Inside, you'll love the open feeling of our house, especially the great room with its cathedral ceilings. The bright all-season porch is always a wonderful place to relax and socialize. During your stay you will have exclusive use of the house and property. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need for your home cooking. There is a coffee maker with some supplies to get you started. Towels and bathroom supplies are provided and you can let us know if there's anything you need that we might have forgotten. There is a small TV with DVD player and a collection of DVDs for you to enjoy. You're also welcome to use any of the many games in the house, including the mini-pool table. You are welcome to use the charcoal grill but may need to replenish the supplies. Any of our three bikes can be made available upon request.
If you like country life, you'll love our place any time of year. Fall leaf-peeping season is a must. You are almost certain to see some wildlife during your stay. If you don't see deer, a moose, bear, bobcat or even a beaver swimming out on the pond - there are plenty of squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, wild turkey, geese, heron and other bird life to keep you company. The area is great for anyone who likes the outdoors. There are numerous hiking trails, several lakes and mountains, a golf course and a ski hill within a radius of a few miles. World-famous Mount Monadnock is an easy drive away. The little town of Greenfield is about 2 miles away where you'll find a market where you can find most of what you might need for your home cooking . About 8 miles from Greenfield is charming Peterborough where you'll find several good restaurants, a pub, a diner, a great bookstore, and a host of little boutique shops.

It was the first time we had used Airbnb and I don't think we could have picked a better, more quiet and peaceful space to spend the weekend. Lawrence was a great host and very quick to respond to my questions. I would highly recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again.

  • We loved staying at this place. It is more beautiful than the pictures can capture with nature surrounding and the natural light streaming into the home. It has an artsy vibe with all the original artwork and gorgeous wood. It is cozy and feels so homey. We had a toddler who ran around saying, “it’s amazing” as we went room to room. I think she felt at home right away. For those particular about beds, we found the beds very comfortable. We didn’t have a lot of questions or need much guidance in the area, but found the owner very responsive to what we did ask. Definitely would want to come back again!

A spacious suite for you to enjoy, in our home on a lovely unpaved road, located in rural New Hampshire. Our home is situated on a beautiful hill, surrounded by gorgeous lawns, trees and lots of undeveloped nature. Your private suite is accessible by walking around to the lower level of our house, where the entrance is.
Once inside you have plenty of room to sit and watch TV, read in a comfy chair, play a little fuzzball or pool, make a cup of tea or coffee, work out on one of the gym equipment, and have a restful night sleep in the comfortable bed. The futon is a good option for 1 or 2 extra people. An apartment sized refrigerator allows you to store and keep foods fresh and if you need to warm things up there is a microwave and a toaster for your convenience. In the bathroom you will find a sampling of clean beauty products by Beautycounter, such as shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Towels are provided as well as tissues, Q tips and a hair dryer. We provide some fruit, packaged oatmeal, nuts, yogurt, water and a few sodas. The road to our house is historic and is so enjoyable to walk after dinner (or anytime) plus you can explore some great hiking paths nearby. There are plenty of trails in the area, including Mount Monadnock which is quite famous in Southern New Hampshire. Visit the website for Mount Monadnock for more information. Crotched Mountain Ski area is just a 6 mile ride for winter sports plus you can snow shoe right out of the door. We take pride in our home and welcome you to enjoy some restful time, whilst making great memories.
Peterborough is a 10 mile drive South/West, and certainly worth it to go explore. A quaint small New England town with lovely small shops, great restaurants, plus a wonderful Spa: European Esthetics. Book in advance and you will receive a 10% discount on your services, by mentioning Airbnb! Visit the website for European Esthetics in Peterborough for a full menu and to book a spa treatment!
  • Ellen's place is a big game/ room on the bottom level of the house with a HUGE amount of space. The futon couch is comfy as is the main bed. It's all spick and span and checking in and out is easy as can be. Thanks Ellen!

We would be happy to welcome you to our spacious walk-out basement apartment that features a comfortable and stylish living space. The apartment decor is warm and contemporary, with a large living and eating area, modest kitchenette, bedroom with queen size bed, and fully appointed bathroom. We are close to downtown Milford and 30 minutes from Nashua and Manchester, as well as an easy drive to Merrimack Premium Outlets and Crotched Mountain Ski and Ride.
The newly finished basement apartment was constructed with you in mind as we brainstormed our own experiences with AIRBNB and incorporated them in our design. It is an ideal space for a couple’s getaway or for the business traveler looking for a comfortable place. We are very proud of the entire apartment which reminds us of the very best that we want. In the living area you will find a 65” high def flat screen TV with Comcast connection, free WIFI, and Alexa enabled sound system for music enjoyment. In the kitchenette there is seating for 4, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee and tea. The bedroom has a queen size bed, bedside lamps with USB ports, and a make-up mirror. Ironing board and iron are also available. The bathroom is fully appointed with large shower and complimentary bathing products. A light breakfast (pastries, fresh fruit, juice) will be provided daily. A double high queen size air mattress with bedding is also available upon request.
Our home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Milford. Although Milford is a small town, it does not lack for things to do, throughout all four seasons. Our restaurants offer a variety of taste, and entertainment is available on the weekends. Hiking trails are all around and a ski area is not far, giving you a chance to explore nature without driving far away. The city’s industrial park is expanding and we made every effort to provide a place for those professionals who may be visiting these local businesses.
  • Okay so, this place is INSANE amazing. Pictures DO NOT do it justice, I have to be honest we were mind blown by the style, privacy, space, and amenities available with Ralph and Caryl- who are the most kind and gracious hosts you can possibly imagine. They thought of everything from local recommendations, locally made products, to snacks and a brita water pitcher in the fridge/kitchen area, as well as dispensers full of shower amenities. I can't even go into how clean and beautiful the space was, we were seriously happily surprised. In addition to all of that, we stayed to assist with work travel and we had private matters to discuss regarding sensitive information and we were given a space here that was comfortable and provided a beautiful view and space to relax (HUGELY NEEDED) but the confidence in our hosts and insulation/privacy we needed, that we felt good meeting there and that we were protecting our work 1000%. I could go on forever about how much this space and the hosts are unbelievable, but I'll leave it at this: they even give you a desk and laptop area to work on, and a guestbook to sign. THEY THINK OF EVERYTHING. Go for it if you're traveling through the area, it's going to be worth every penny, and you'll feel more than at home.

    Sammy2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Provided awesome recommendations for food, extremely welcoming and great environment. The home is in a beautiful area and there is plenty to do. Thank you again!

    Pasquale2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Even though the photos and description were very good, Ralph and Caryl managed to make the experience even better. They exceeded all expectations we could want for our stay. Communication is the utmost importance to me and Ralph never wavered from quick, concise responses and was kind in accommodating our plans as they evolved. Absolutely recommend staying here.

Enjoy comfort and relaxation in this stylish, clean and spacious apartment. The Carriage House has a living area, kitchenette, private full bath downstairs, two bedrooms upstairs (one queen and one twin), a deck and screened porch. The decor is part country, part modern, and all comfort! The upstairs bedrooms are adjacent; you pass through the master (queen) bedroom to access the smaller (twin) bedroom. This is ideal for a couple with a child or groups where full privacy is not a concern.
The Carriage house has a comfortable living area with free WiFi, cable / smart TV, or you can curl up and enjoy a book or DVD (we keep a few on hand). In the kitchenette, help yourself to coffee or tea; there's also a toaster, microwave, and mini-fridge. The bedrooms have hardwood floors, clock radio, lamps, blankets, linens and pillows. Adjust the thermostat to your liking and enjoy a comfortable stay! (Since the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is on the first level, if you’re alone and you’d prefer to sleep on the ground floor, let us know and we'll set up a twin bed in the living area.) The Carriage House is an ideal location for enjoying Southern New Hampshire's many natural and cultural attractions.
We’re easy walking distance from Main Street, Wilton, known for its Town Hall Theater, Nelson’s Candies, art galleries, antique shops and more. We’re also near the Wilton Public Library, an architectural gem. We’re 15 minutes from the famous Pickety Place in Mason, NH, and 20 min. or so from Parker’s Maple Barn. Just half an hour away you can hike Pack Monadnock or it’s twin, Mount Monadnock. The area has beautiful fall foliage, ample hiking trails, apple picking, and skiing.

  • We loved our stay! It was bigger than we had expected, perfect for a weekend getaway or even longer. Super close and easy to get to pats peak and since we didn’t feel like cooking in the well appointed kitchen, there were many restaurants to choose from on the way home from the mountain.

    Marion2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet location but be ready for a bit rustic. Was not a big issue for me. Super clean space and nice use of a small area. Great for 1-3 people. Great communication by Deborah even with a small check in issue. No problems. Snacks were a nice touch. Hope to come back when I can see the area as I was in and out in the dark with daylight savings and my work hours. Would like to make use of listed hiking and biking in the area when there is more daylight! Hope to come back soon as I'm in the area on business frequently.

  • What an adorable and perfect place! This barn had everything we needed and was in a cute town where we enjoyed the local coffee shop and rail trail. The bed was very comfortable, and we had reliable wifi and the kitchen was stocked with a small set of pots and pans that allowed us to prep our own food. We had plenty of towels and hot water in the shower. The land around the barn is beautiful, and we really enjoyed walking around and exploring the nearby creek. We ventured out to the mountains nearby and find an excellent hike too. The host was so friendly and responsive, and we had a truly wonderful stay!

My husband and I have farmland in Hancock, New Hampshire. We have a private cottage that is located next to the main house. We have 32 Acres of Land for hiking, exploring and cross country skiing for our guests. We offer free canoe rentals in the summer, with free drop off and pick up at local waterways. There are plenty of local shops and restaurants in the Monadnock region.
One master bedroom with a queen size bed. The bunk room (no private door- it's a walk through to the master bedroom) has one fold away twin bed. There is also a very comfortable love-seat that a child could sleep on, as well. One bath, beautiful sunroom, eat in kitchen and living room. There is baseboard heat in all rooms, that is thermostat controlled. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom. Which is free to use, for our guests. We're best suited for one couple or a small family. Just a reminder- we do not have WiFi
It's a quiet town. Norway Pond is right down the road from our cottage in Hancock. The Hancock Market has all the necessities you may need while you stay here. The town of Hancock has a warm feeling of a small town community. Stop at Fiddleheads Cafe for lunch. They make a wonderful pizza! If you want to take a walk through the town. There is a little goat cheese factory right on Main Street. Best of all, we're only 6.4 miles from the Crotched Mountain ski area in Bennington. The next town over, Peterborough, has plenty of shops and restaurants to visit too. Plus, you're about 45 minutes from concord and about 25 from Keene. The Merrimack outlets are about an hour away.
  • Humble Hospitality & just the right amount of quiet for the extended weekend trip with the counterpart. I will definitely be coming back here since I’m a heavy believer in staying at places that are period correct. Blueberry muffins were the perfect addition to an early morning before checking out the local mtns and trails. 🙏🏻

  • Couldn't have had a better escape from Boston for the weekend. Ashley was a very responsive and generous host, and her cabin was clean, quiet, and spacious. Ashley greeted us upon arrival with the most delicious homemade pumpkin muffins and gave us amazing local suggestions. The town is quaint, charming, and quiet. Ashley's cabin is the perfect place to disconnect, read that book you've been meaning to for the past couple months, and get a great night's rest. We will definitely be returning!

  • My boyfriend and I planned a two week snowboarding trip. This was our third stop, and we stayed one night. We had a restful night stay as the bed was comfortable. I really liked the soft shag rugs throughout the rooms. Everything appeared clean, and I especially liked how the host provided plenty of bottled waters and coffee. I did ask the host if we could do a load of laundry, and she denied us access to her washer and dryer, so that was a bit unfortunate. Secondary roads to get to the airbnb were awful! (This isn’t the hosts fault, just giving future potential guests an idea about the area, as we are from Virginia). It would be very much recommended for future travelers to be driving a 4 WD vehicle. The closest restaurant that we could find that was open at 7pm at night was about 20 minutes away. Potholes everywhere, so beware.

She was there to greet us when we got there and show us how everything worked, gave us great tips on local places to eat, and the space decorated in a lovely and cozy fashion. I would definitely stay again!

  • We stayed at Nicole’s beautiful home for a weekend getaway while exploring the cute town of Peterborough and its surroundings and enjoying a day of cross country skiing nearby. The room was just as described, very clean and comfortable.

    Olivia2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet even though the house was fully booked. Nicole was great at communicating with me as I went through Plan B and Plan C in case of snow, which turned out in the end to be rain. Check in was easy and there were lights on for me to find my way. This is my second time here, and I'd definitely come back.

  • Aimee is a delightful host. This is our second time staying at her home and both times have been so relaxing and very comforting. When we arrived she had left welcome note for us and touching bottle of wine. She is a joy to talk to and she is so adventurous that she inspires us to try out something new. We took a hike into the local woods in the snow and it was a lot of fun. we really feel like Aimee is a friend and we hope to be able to come back in the future and try the rest of her adventurous suggestions. Thank you Aimee for being an amazing person.

    Ariel2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Aimee's home was a true delight! I stayed for a few days for the end of the holiday weekend and I was in love. From the very beginning, Aimee was super responsive and friendly. She recommended what places to go to nearby, including the nearby lakes and food markets. The home is charming, full of light and positive energy. Surrounded by wondrous trees. I would love to be able to return again someday explore the rest of what I missed!

Conveniently located in the heart of the Monadnock region, this suite is located in a new and pretty mixed-use building, built according to the principles of Vastu Vidya, or Vedic architecture. It's across from a riverside park, and an easy walk to a natural food store/cafe, swimming and hiking, and the town pool. Convenient to historic downtown Peterborough. You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood, the sunny space, and the spacious kitchen. Good for couples and solo adventurers.
The bathroom is a few steps from the suite by way of a public hallway. It is reserved for the use of the guest in the suite. The bed is a dense foam with a memory foam mattress topper, very firm and comfortable.
305 Union is across from Teixeira Park, a short walk to Nature's Greengrocer, and convenient to the recreational opportunities at McDowell Dam.
  • Linda's place is right next to town, in a very accesible building and is sparkly clean. The bed is very comfortable and it's very quiet. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools you need to cook at home and it's got a great shower and bathroom. Above all the hospitality is amazing, they were very responsive and I felt right at home here.

  • We had a wonderful extended stay. Hosts were helpful, friendly and respectful of our privacy. Location great. Nice park across the street, natural grocer with deli only a short walk, lovely McDowell Reservoir close by, as well as quaint Peterborough downtown which is a long pleasant walk or short drive. Comfy bed, and space is sunny and cheerful; and kitchen has the basics you need to cook-in as well. Nice outdoor sitting area with little goldfish pond providing relaxation and contemplation. All in all a good spot to stay. Many thanks to our hosts.

Off of, but just a couple of miles, from the beaten path a little bit of Eden. The Farmhouse's private entrance is at the front with the small porch, taking you to the home's original main green door. Come on into the front hall and up the stairs to the clean, bright, secluded bedroom with a queen size bed. Enjoy a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower, antique granite vanity and all the fresh air dried towels your stay will require. Welcome
This room comes with a Keurig machine, organic coffee, tea, a mini fridge, microwave, a wine glass, a cork screw, a TV provided with Netflix streaming, WIFI and more needed amenities. Start your day here then head out of a perfect Cappuccino and breakfast at Aesops just about 2 miles down the road or travel to Harrisville for something hearty at the General Store. A perfect walk at MacDowell Dam is a stones throw away as are many other local hikes. Explore shopping in the village, art galleries, and of course plenty of fine dining to be had. Nearby Delrossi's is my favorite for Italian. Harlow's is ever dependable for a great meal, cocktails, music (late), cocktails and all kinds of beers. Locally you can find a Whiskey Bar, a brewery, good Thai, homemade chocolates even a vinegar store. The Toadstool is a great place to browse books and support the local economy. Within walking distance is Nature's green grocer and I always encourage stopping in to see Lulu and her wonderful ceramic work in her studio across the street. Because of the practical use of the space details for longer term stays will have to be worked out in advance.
Arts, food and nature in abundance in this idyllic Monadnock region. Something for everyone with each season from, downhill skiing at Crotched Mountain, cross country at Windblown, snow shoeing anywhere, to the most refreshing dunk in Dublin Lake, a hike up Pack Monadnock, mountain or road biking whatever your favor. It can't be beat.
  • Perfect space for a quiet weekend away on business! The area is lovely (I would like to come back when I have more time) and so is the setting. Check-in was quick and easy. I also appreciated the numerous thoughtful touches. Very charming and I ADORED the bathroom.

This is a single family cape style house. Bedrooms are on the upper floor. We have a stair lift for folks who may not want to climb stairs. This room over looks the sunroom and grounds. Very quiet, large and bright. Peterborough is a quaint town, offering loads of culture, like art galleries, antique shops, spa services, a host of many wonderful eateries. Also, hiking, river walk, kayak and canoeing. Bike friendly. Though, I am rural, only 3 miles from town.
I am very social and enjoy meeting new people. I will try to make a guest experience joyful.
About a mile away, we do have a Dunkins, and a fabulous coffee roaster, has the freshest most yummy coffee. Although I do have neighbors, we are not close together, so we are private.
  • My first ABNB experience could not have been at a better home. Kathy went above and beyond to make sure my girlfriend and I were taken care of. Kathy has set the bar high for my future ABNB experiences going forward. PS: Smitty is adorable.

    Tyler2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was absolutely unbelievable. My partner and I drove up from NYC to get away for the weekend and the bard was beyond what we would have ever expected. Denise goes over the moon with attention to detail. The barn is the coziest most adorable place I’ve ever stayed. She had the place stocked better that any hotel I’ve stayed in. Her hospitality is exquisite. This is a place to remember forever! We will certainly be back ASAP. She provided amazing tips and recommendations for the area. This place is an amazing value and to all of you that have fur babies she is literally one of the only places to stay. The bard will not disappoint!!! One of very few places I’ve stayed that I was actually sad to leave ❤️

    Samuel2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a super cool barn! Denise is really thoughtful and left a variety of snacks and breakfast supplies for us, which we appreciated. On a very cold (well below 0) night, parts of the barn were a bit drafty, but climbing under lots of thick blankets alleviated that. We'd definitely come back.

    Anna2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Two Cats Barn was the perfect place for myself and some friends to spend the weekend skiing at Crotched Mountain. The barn is gorgeous and amazingly cozy, even when the temperature dropped down to 3 degrees one night, and has plenty of blankets and heated massage chairs to make you comfier than you thought possible. There are also puzzles, board games, and books so there's plenty to do on a cozy day in. Check in was quick and easy, Denise and Andy were super nice and helpful, and the provided breakfast was fantastic. There were fresh pastries, eggs, OJ, and cheese, and even a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us. Overall I would 100% recommend this place to anyone, and would definitely come back again.

    Robyn2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a cozy place to stay after skiing at Crotched Mountain! We had a great stay and the hosts were very accommodating!

    Michaela2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

We got rained out one day and Chris has mentioned we could use their Netflix, so we cuddled up and let the rain come down. Later we went for a nice hike on the back of Crotched. Beautiful. Thanks, Chris!!

  • I could tell from the pictures and reviews that this was going to be a clean and cozy place to spend three nights while our daughter skied at State Championships, but couldn't have imagined how spacious and thoughtfully decorated the home would be. • This space was so beautiful inside and out. Convenient to town but secluded. Chris was over the top helpful. She even met us at the bottom of the drive on a dark snowy night after our flight was delayed. The space was fresh, beautiful and sparkling clean. There was wonderful coffee and tea as well as anything else you may need. There were personal touches just for us, amazing! The trip we were on was around a difficult time and we found kindness and peace here! Hope to come back and hang out in the wonderful home and breathtaking forest!

We originally only booked to stay one night. Once arrived every family love the house and environment so much and we immediately decided to stay 4 more nights. • I have stayed in air bnbs from Maine to Florida, and this one is without a doubt the best experience I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, you know you are in for a cozy, comfortable, relaxing stay. Jen and Jerry have thoughtful touches throughout the space, and they truly go above and beyond to ensure an excellent stay. The hot tub is incredible, and the space has everything you might need to supply as much adventuring as you’d like, or to simply get away and just relax. They are so accommodating too, and truly respect their hosts privacy; yet are always available if you need. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!

  • We had a very relaxing time. The home is quiet, beautiful and there is nothing the owners didn’t think of. We loved the little details in the house. The hot tub was a special treat very relaxing and refreshing at the same time. There are a couple of local restaurants in the area, Molly’s Cafe was wonderful. Would definitely return again.

  • This is an awesome space, and you feel you are nice and secluded despite being attached to the main house. Wonderful touches throughout the apartment (sleep number bed, travel tips/attractions, s'more supplies for the fire pit, snacks, coffee, shower soaps, etc.)!! Thanks for the great stay, Jennifer!

    Anthony2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed and many AirBnB's before, and this might just be the best I've ever experienced. So many thoughtful touches, from the snacks and coffee provided, to the sticky notes with little bits of information so you don't need to bother asking where stuff goes or what to do, to the EXTREMELY comfortable Sleep Number bed, it is hospitality at its finest. Jennifer, her husband and son are amazing hosts, always letting us have our privacy but there if we had any questions or concerns. And the hot tub was just the perfect finishing touch. Such a relaxing weekend, and cannot wait to be back. HIGHLY recommended.

  • We stayed here in winter. The place is so amazing, decorated with details, love small touches, lighting of place, colors and comfort made it more special. It's just as shown in pictures, we wish to come back in summer or fall.

  • We had a lovely stay at Jen's place. You'd never know it was an attached apartment because it was very quiet and private. The interior was cheerful and well-lit and the bed was very comfortable, as well as all the other furniture. Lot's of extra little touches that were fun to discover. The hot tub was awesome - it had a beautiful wood screen/fence to one side that made it feel like it was ours alone - even though it is a shared space. We enjoyed taking a few hikes in the area, and especially loved the Pulpit Rock conservation area. The location is close enough to everything you might need, yet in a peaceful, wooded setting. Thanks so much Jen and Jerry! Ivey and John.

  • This place exceeded our expectations and was an excellent value for the price. Jen was super nice and very responsive when we met her. She also made sure that we had everything we needed while providing us with privacy. The place itself was very cozy and cute and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and quick getaway!

Nestled in the quiet woods just north of Mt. Monadnock our cozy one bedroom apartment invites the outdoors in with peeks of the mountain through the trees. Sit out on your private deck and enjoy the view or stroll around the yard and pick a few blueberries in season. We welcome hikers, nature lovers, those visiting friends or family or just wanting to enjoy the area's beautiful scenery and many artistic venues. I like to think of it as a peaceful sanctuary that we'd like to share with you.
The guest apartment is part of our home but it is completely private and has it's own entry and private deck. So, you don't have to say hello whenever you come and go (unless you'd like to, of course:) If you have questions and either Sterling or I am there you are welcome to just knock on our door ( next door) and if we are gone, I am usually available to receive a text or call. You may just enjoy sitting out on the deck to get your fresh air and view but you are welcome to the yard and to stroll through the garden. We have plenty of parking so park where you finds a good space. We only advertise one bedroom and there is a long couch (not a pullout with a bed) in the living room that is pretty comfortable. I keep extra bedding in the bedroom closet. We also have a handy twin mattress in the entry closet to accommodate a child if needed. You are welcome to these . We also have a guestroom with its own patio down the stairs from the apartment. My family visits occasionally so I don't advertise it but if you need another queen bed you can let me know and, if it is available, you are welcome. (We charge an extra $50 a night for that.) If you like to cook the kitchen has the basics: stove, refrigerator, utensils, a few condiments and spices. Let me know if you need anything you can't see there. The apartment has a coffee station. You can have the option of the Kuerig if you are in a hurry for coffee in the morning (like me) or there is a coffee maker so that you can make yourself a pot. I usually try to have eggs and something baked on hand so you don't have to rush off for breakfast. I hope you can relax and enjoy your stay!
When we first moved here over 30 years ago I wasn't sure I could handle the quiet, town girl that I was. But I love it and, after a busy day, it is such a peaceful place to come back to. My favorite spot in the summertime is on the deck for dinner. The apartment has it's own and I think most guests feel the same way. There are lots of walkers who enjoy this road and cars hauling boats but, even after all these years, it remains a peaceful and quiet spot. Just a mile and a half down the road is Dublin Lake and Stone Pond is about that distance in the other direction. Howe Reservoir is nearby as well. Bring your kayak and watch the sunset from the middle of the lake and enjoy a spectacular view of the mountain. If you are a hiker or even an aspiring one we are not too far from trails up Mt. Monadnock and the Sunapee Trail. In the winter there are lots of cross country or snow shoe trails not far from us. Friendly Farm is a great place for children and it's just a 6 minute drive away. The towns around us have lots of activities too numerous to list but we are centrally located to the best the area has to offer... Peterborough Players, Apple Hill Chamber Music (where you can sit outside and enjoy a picnic while being serenaded,) Art Shows, Museums, Concerts, Great Restaurants and Shopping. I try to keep local information up to date and on your coffee table.
  • Linda’s place was fantastic! Sadly I did not get to personally meet her, but my friend did when she checked us in earlier in the day and said she was a lovely person. The space was very well decorated and very home, sparkling clean, and exactly as advertised. The view is fantastic, and Linda went above and beyond by providing us homemade cookies and bread. I would stay at Linda’s place again in a heartbeat!

    Greg2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s home was beautiful! It is the perfect location to disconnect and recharge. Linda welcomed us into her home with baked goods, which was such a thoughtful touch. Would definitely recommend!

    Natalie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was an amazing host. She was thoughtful about each aspect of the stay, and I have never had a more positive Airbnb experience! So many of the reviews are overwhelmingly positive and detailed, so to avoid redundancy, I will just say that if I could give Linda 5 more stars, I would. This place was so special and our weekend experience in NH was enhanced by the quality of our stay. We are definitely hoping to come back, and we will surely recommend her place to anyone looking to rent.

    Simone2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I am a super host myself but this place far exceeded our expectations. This is another slapped together attic. This is a solidly built and beautifully finished apartment. Beautiful deck and view, fridge stocked for breakfast, and the made from scratch baked goods you see everyone raving about in the reviews. Don’t look any further for a place to stay. This is the place! Friendly host and stunning colors of trees the second week of October. Highly, highly recommend.

  • This is a writer’s dream-space; if you’re looking for peace, quiet and beauty to write or just relax, this is it. A clean, comfortable, and very roomy apartment including a balcony deck with deck chairs and a covered table for coffee and writing while enjoying a spectacular view. I wanted space to spread out a project and had it in spades, with lots of floorspace in the comfortable and nicely decorated living area. Both kitchen and bathroom had a surprising number of amenities and unexpected extras. Nestled into a gorgeous location, it’s near the lake and Monadnock State Park for beautiful fall hikes, drives and walks. Linda offered to let me come earlier than the regular check in (much appreciated) and met me upon my arrival. She had several delicious home-baked treats waiting in the fridge, along with many unexpected basics (eggs, milk, juice, milk, oatmeal). Stirling came over to offer excellent driving directions to several hiking trails and helpful descriptions of each. Would stay here gladly for a longer spell (didn’t really want to leave!)---excellent value for comfortable and pleasing rooms, beautiful/ quiet location, and friendly, attentive hosts.

    Margaret2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home! The space was large and cozy. It also had an amazing view from the private porch. Linda’s hospitality was above and beyond what we expected. It was exactly what we needed for our trip. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

    Angela2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was an incredible host! She greeted us warmly when we pulled up after dark and again the next evening, when she called for us to join her and her husband at their fire pit after we got in from dinner in Peterborough. It was my wife's birthday weekend, and waiting for us in the fridge on our arrival was a cake! Super host indeed. The place is so nice in so many ways. It is tucked away a short distance down a dirt road from the end of the pavement--with all the peace and quiet you'd expect. The view of Monadnock from the living room and off the deck are fantastic--we loved eating out there, too. It is a quick drive into Dublin and only slightly longer to Peterborough, Marlborough, and Keene. We hiked Monadnock while there, and the trailhead was a three or four minute drive down Linda's road (it's the longest trail to the summit, but hey!) The only thing remotely approaching a negative was a slight sulfur smell to the water. It was not strong, we didn't taste it in the food we cooked (including coffee), and it didn't keep us from lugging a couple of liters of it up Monadnock, but if you're sensitive you should know.

Our 1840’s renovated grist mill is located in the beautiful Monadnock Region. The house is situated on twelve acres and includes gardens, an orchard, berry bushes, grape vines, beehives, chickens and a tremendous waterfall. We are close to many of nature’s gems including Mount Monadnock, Pack Monadnock, the Heald Tract hiking trails, skiing, snowshoeing and swimming. Also the acclaimed MacDowell Arts Center, Andy’s Summer Playhouse, Andres Institute of Art and the Waldorf Schools.
This is a magical room with large old granite stones making up one wall and a bank of windows making up another. The french door opens to a large screened-in porch which overlooks a waterfall. With an antique four poster canopy bed and a tile floor with Turkish rug, you are sure to want to relax here. But nature is calling and you will also be inclined to wander along the water fall or out into the pavilion, gardens and orchard. Its a perfect place to just breathe. Please note that two cats and one dog live in this house (NOT in this room!) and chickens live on the property.
Our house is situated on twelve acres of land, so while we do have neighbors within walking distance our property is very private. You are welcome to walk around and enjoy the amazing nature surrounding you.
  • The river room is what made us pick this place. As for amenities, there is a coffee/tea maker, a fridge, and smart TV on the side which isn't visible in the photos. The floors are heated during winters, the bathroom is separate from the room but quite spacious, the covered porch connected to the room is an amazing space; a very pleasant vacation stay it was with the hosts being very generous and accommodating. Would definitely want to visit again in summer.

  • It was a perfect place for my Valentine's weekend. My gf and I loved the view from the bedroom. It was a very relaxing experience listening to the water fall

  • What a peaceful, tranquil, and pleasant surprise. We were looking for an outdoorsy getaway for MLK weekend that allowed our dog and we stumbled upon this stay. When we got to the property our jaws hit the ground - picture s of the waterfall do not do it justice! The room itself was decorated beautifully, we loved the four-post bed, antique couch and chair, and library ladder. Bridget and her husband were so sweet and more than happy to give us local recommendations. You have to check out the local trails as well! We rented snowshoes from Eastern Mountain Sports and had an awesome day exploring the New Hampshire woods.

  • Lovely place. Comes as advertised

    Jay2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay!! The room was huge and delightfully appointed with lots of interesting pieces - my favorite is the library ladder! Communication with Bridget was pleasant, prompt, and thoughtful from the first. The property is beautiful, classic New England farmhouse complete with a colorful flock of hens. Everything is as described and better - the radiant heat floors were an unexpected treat on chilly December nights! Comfy bed and the sounds of the waterfall to lull us to sleep were the ideal combination. Thank you so much!

    Gina2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful sound of water fall from the porch. Spacious and beautiful room. A great place to stay!

    Sydney2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is dreamy and wonderful. They have made their home into a special space for those who arrive. Their 2 cats hung out with us for hours and the waterfall outside was ethereal. Bridget and John gave many recommendations and helped us to feel welcome in the town. Will definitely be back!

    Madison2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A very lovely setting in a historic old mill building. The stonewalls were amazing and beautiful and gave us pause to wonder! We found the room very comfortable and hope to stay there again. Bridget and John were very welcoming hosts also.

A Unique Modern/Rural Retreat in the Woods of New Hampshire.
Hello, please note: This is a shared home, with two hosts in residence in separate attached apartments. Our rural, spacious New Hampshire home actually consists of three connected geometric structures. Guests may choose from a variety of accomodations and activity spaces: <> The magical geodesic Yoga Dome: a colorful, spherical space for special activities (like yoga and massage) and/or guests. Converts to three-season 2+ person sleeping quarters with a high-quality queen-sized air mattress. Heat includes electric, propane, and/or woodstove. <> The main Octagon: a beautiful three-story tower, surrounded by decks large and small (including Hot Tub deck), a rustic porch, (with picnic table and hammock), a sunroom (for YEAR-ROUND sun-bathing and indoor gardening. As a major eco-feature, this solar gain cuts our household consumption of non-renewable heating fuels considerably.). The full-size kitchen is modern, open-concept. <> Upstairs is your Private Suite for up to five guests in your party. This includes the Master Bedroom, Guest Bedroom, Office, and Private Bath. (see photos and descriptions). Our house provides plenty of personal privacy and entrances, but also features the beautiful and versatile Great Room, with indoor trees, and our magnicent "Defiant" woodstove/fireplace. The couch is on wheels, to easily roll close to the fireplace, or out of the way for yoga, kids, and special activities. The Great Room is also the home of our beautiful hanging house alter. (see photos). Our personal favorite space is the three-season south-facing screened porch, with a small private deck outside. Other attractions include: <> outdoor HOT TUB or COOL POOL. <> PING-PONG in the rec room, BADMINTON and BEAN BAG TOSS in season. <> HOME THEATER. House WiFi/Internet throughout <> Vegetarian Breakfast Choices by Padma (Organic, local sourced ingredients when possible). <> Nature Walks. Chiminea Campfire. We are eager to share this special retreat space with you. Everyone who walks in says the same thing: "Oh, wow!" Lonny is a Holistic Health Counselor and yoga instructor, so ask about extra health and healing services.
We "live in the woods", but it's less than a mile to the center of town, historic colonial Hancock, NH. The sidewalks have never been paved. The church bell was cast by Paul Revere, and rings on the hour. That's about as much "noise" as you'll hear around here, apart from the insects and forest critters and our neighbor's chickens, depending on the season. There's a lake, (swimming or skating), post office, cafe, library, historic inn, town square with gazebo, colonial era cemetary, and other small-town New-England attractions. Just up the road is a large apple orchard and a view of the famous Mt. Monadnock. All our neighbors are wonderful. :-) Also check out the expansive grounds and activities at the nearby Harris Center for Conservation Education. DINING TIP: This is a rural region. Plan you dinners ahead, including reservations, driving time, designated drivers, etc. See our recommendations, or ask for directions. Feel free to store food on the guest shelf in our fridge. By special arrangement, we can open our kitchen for your use (Vegetarian cooking only).
  • Words do not do justice to describe how much we appreciate Lonny, Padma and all they shared with us during our one night stay. Not only were they amazing hosts, but just amazing people to be around and share space with. This location is all it should be, beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Our space was sparkling clean and way more than we needed for ourselves and 2 dogs! We surprised Lonny and asked him with no notice to lead us in a yoga session before we left for dinner. He asked for a half hour and transformed the main octagon to a yoga studio and proceeded to lead my wife and I in the most amazing hour session of our lives. Lonny has reawakened a love for yoga that my wife had when we first met and has aided me in getting on a better track to take care of myself. Other than this being a life changing experience, THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. The breakfast Padma and Lonny provided was soooooooo good and wholesome, all while being serenaded by Lonny with his guitar as we ate, this following an early morning hot tub dip as my wife got a massage from Lonny that really helped her recent tailbone injury and mobility issues. This one night stay far exceeded any concept of expectations my wife and I had and we will be coming back as quickly and as frequent as possible. I can not reccomend enough. This place radiates peace and tranquility and Lonny and Padma are some of the best humans we have come across. We parted ways by being asked by Lonny to pick out some prayer beads that Padma had made, we each picked some that spoked to us and will cherish them. I could write a novel, but you must experience The Octagon for yourself. Thank you so much Lonny and Padma!

  • This place is so comfortable and relaxing and so much fun! This was our 2nd stay. We had stayed for a night in October as convenient lodging before hiking Monadnock. We realized we needed to spend so much more time in the house! So we came for 2 nights in February and enjoyed everything the house has to offer: ping pong table, hot tub, sun porch, hammocks, games and toys and books, comfy couch in front of a warm wood stove, fabulous breakfasts, a kitchen at our disposal all day. We had planned to venture out to snowshoe on local trails, but were so happy that we didn't leave all day. Instead we spent an afternoon tromping in the snow on their 30 acres. Can't wait to come back!

    Laurie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Truly amazing with thought and care put into the stay.

    Sam2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing stay! Lonny is such a wonderful and warm host. There was warm apple cider and rolls waiting for us on arrival. Lonny makes sure your stay is comfortable and also memorable and the place is set up as such. The home is so unique, you will want to stay and enjoy every space (including a hot tub, sun room, meditation/yoga dome). We didn’t leave and just enjoyed the space in a snow storm. Lonny provides an abundance of towels, toiletries, coffee and other amenities that go above and beyond the norm. He is so accommodating to requests and your schedule as well. You have a good amount of privacy (the entire 2nd floor) and Lonny is game to hang with your crew or give you your privacy. The breakfast by Padma is AMAZING as well. I can not say enough good things. Just book!!!

    Kimberly2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the Octagon was an amazing experience! Lonny was such a gracious host who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed in the short time we were there. The photos were accurate, the place was clean, and Lonny responded quickly to my messages. We were able to use the hot tub, ping pong table, yoga den (including mats, rollers, automatic massagers), the hammock, sun room, and sit in the common area with a toasty fire going in the fireplace. In the morning, we were made more than enough food and beverages to handle by Padma. The food was delicious and they have a variety of healthy and yummy options on their menu they offer to all of their guests. Lonny played on the guitar and sang quietly in the background while we ate. We were all blown away with how well we were being treated, how cozy, and relaxed the stay was. 10/10 would recommend The Octagon.

  • Lonny was an incredible host and the octagon is a unique place - the perfect get-away to recharge and resource! We loved the octagon, the geodesic dome, jamming with Lonny, Padma's breakdfast and desert, the hot tub, and much more! We'll definitely be back!
