Relax. Slow Down. Experience what well designed small spaces feel like while you watch the boats go by and osprey dive for fish. Play all day in the forest, visit hot springs, hike, mountain bike, golf, fish and raft all within a short drive. Salvaged from an old historic cabin, this place has new comforts and old soul. This rental supports sustainability, restoration of the river ecosystem and local jobs. Ask about low season discounts for teachers and non-profits.
The shared living spaces are open and light. You will find a variety of wood building materials throughout the house- some new, some salvaged from the original cabin. You can fish from the lower covered porch (with licenses) - the drift boats seem to have success just up river and down river of the cabin. Reservoir recreation areas and hot springs are approx. 20 minute drive east. Extensive hiking and mountain biking and winter sports are within 30-60 minute drive. You are welcome to sleep out on the deck or on the covered porch or put tents in the covered porch area under the house if that is your preferred way to enjoy the river in the summer. I developed this place as an example of living simply, in small spaces, while being able to comfortably cook and share meals and enjoy the magic of this river valley. Feel good about renting this space: I am continually striving to increase the sustainability of this cabin. I only employ local caretakers and annually invest in more restoration and maintenance along the river. I invest in community based social equality and environmental education in the U.S. and abroad and your financial support of this rental helps provide this work free of charge. I hope you feel the welcoming, positive energy of my family and friends and all the wonderful people who have rented before you!
This cabin was originally part of a small community of cabin rentals. There are 3 other cabins nearby along the river and a few houses across the street/highway. Everyone mostly stays to themselves and enjoys the river.
  • Right on river and beautiful; we experienced no difficulties aside from some neighbors arguing loudly on Saturday night. It’s small but cozy and we were busy with activities... Belknap hot springs are great!

  • A great little cabin on the river. So very relaxing and comfortable. Can’t wait to stay again.

  • Casey’s place is incredible!! The homey vibes and river views are amazing. I already want to go back! It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The hot springs were a beautiful short drive away. I highly recommend staying at Casey’s.

  • Thanks for a lovely stay!

    Heather2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great river-watching getaway! This little house is lovely, with wonderful furniture and a great kitchen. Casey has been very thoughtful about providing everything needed for a lovely weekend. As mentioned in the listing, make sure you're comfortable with road noise and aren't expecting to go swimming. The house is right next to the road, and the river is much too fast to get in at the house.

  • A really great spot to access all of the fun and activities the McKenzie River area has to offer. The cabin was well-equipped for what I was looking for — to disconnect and have some quiet time for reflection.

    Marc2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Casey's place is exactly as described. Beautiful deck over looking the water and well appointed.

    Alex2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and such a nice view! The area has a lot of amazing outdoor activities (waterfalls, hot springs, etc) and Casey’s place is the perfect little getaway during any season.

  • This little cabin is just lovely. The long strand of windows look out onto a very pretty river view. The space is perfect for a couple and is very tastefully decorated. The cabin is in a good location for accessing hiking trails, fishing (in season), and of course the river. We were there in mid-March and it was still cold out. The heaters eventually caught up, but I'm glad we brought extra blankets. We used them. If you look at the map you'll see that the cabin is right on the road. It was noisy on Friday night and did disrupt our sleep some. Saturday night was a bit better. It's a lovely place to wake up.

    Kara2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Super cozy and cute! Beautiful views!

    Jenna2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures are accurate, it’s right next to the river, super beautiful view. When the sun is out, the patio is the PERFECT spot to be. I would say bring super warm clothes during the cold, the cabin was super cold the whole time we were there, the heater was not our friend. Also bring your own DVD’s, there’s a DVD player. Lastly, i RECOMMEND to eat at Vida cafe, best thing about this whole trip was their homemade breakfast, i fell in love.

    Mariah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is super cute and cozy, and right on the river! The only negative thing is the road noise during the day (it stops at night).

    Yoko2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Million dollar view totally breathtaking. Upon our arrival home was cozy, lights on, very clean and ready to relax. Host was truly incredible I can honestly say one of the best ever. Took great care of us, made sure we were comfortable and offered great suggestions for where to eat and places to visit. The sound of the river was dreamy while falling asleep in our very comfortable bed. Highly recommend:)

  • Amazing scenery, very peaceful and relaxing place. With a great host to boot. 💯 recommendation to all that are looking for a place on the Mackenzie River. Great hospitality as well.

    Rikki2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place is hard to beat for a stay in the wilderness, so quite and beautiful, the view is breath taking sitting right on the Mackenzie River and the consistent sounds of the water is so relaxing. Also many options for adventures close by!

  • Great little getaway cabin right on the river! Gorgeous views, super cute place to stay. Short drive to the hot springs, close to several nice long hikes!

    Krista2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at this cabin! The downside is that the cabin is just a few feet off the highway, and the road noise was pretty noticeable for a light sleeper like myself. The listing had prepared us for this, however, so there was nothing misleading, and Kim provided a white noise machine that does help. The road noise was a small price to pay, however, for the amazing river view! We've never stayed somewhere this close to a body of water--you're almost hanging out over it! Additionally, the river side is completely private. There is no way for anyone to walk by and look in the windows, and the land across the river is forested with no visible buildings. We loved feeling so secluded, and were so in awe of the view and the cabin's 1940s charm that we actually talked about whether we might be able to buy the place (it's currently listed for sale)! We were pleased to find that the cabin was sparkling clean, had a well-equipped kitchen, and super smooth sheets on the log bed! We'd love to come back!

    Sierra2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! The river was amazing.

    Brittney2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was my boyfriend and I's first Airbnb experience, and we fell in love with the Mckenzie River and surrounding area. We were within a short driving distance of the Terwilliger Hot Springs (definitely recommend in the winter!) and Tamolitch Falls. Much of the great experience came from the home itself. Kim provided everything necessary: modern kitchen amenities, DVDs, extra blankets, towels, and a binder full of things to do in the area. The feeling of being directly over the rushing water of the river and the view this cabin provides seemed surreal. We can't wait to come back and visit again in the spring!

    Whitney2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great space!

    Jordan2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is charming with everything you could need, including towels for the local hot springs. Kim was a great host and her response time was prompt. Thank you for a relaxing getaway.

    Carolyn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was so much more than we expected. The details, hard work, and personal craftsmanship the owners put into this place was amazing. The energy inside was so relaxing and we loved having a fireplace inside and outside! My kiddos had multiple spaces to choose from that was just for them. The bathrooms were a mix of nature and luxury. We will be back!!!

    Jennifer2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place, very comfortable and cozy with a very nice backyard. The kitchen was very well equipped and it was a perfect place to relax with friends. We highly recommend it.

  • Wonderful and comfortable cabin, spacious and well equipped with everything you need to cook meals and have a lovely stay! Check-in was easy and the communication with the host was great. I would definitely recommend it for families and groups looking to experience nature while staying comfortably, in a homey and stylish cabin.

    Nina2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a wonderful, cozy space to spend our weekend. The rooms were adorably decorated and homey. The heating and wood stove warmed the place up well despite the chilly, rainy weather. The host was sweet enough to leave us a bunch of treats for the Valentine's Day weekend, which was such a special surprise. We had enough cups, plates, utensils, etc. for our group dinners, which has been a problem at other air bnbs in the past. They even provided large containers of shampoo and conditioner. I can't say enough nice things!

    Kasey2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

  • Amazing cabin. We've stayed here a couple times now and it is so easy to access and we love the space. Only about 45 minutes away from snowboarding at Hoodoo so that is a big plus! Love the pet friendly environment and so does our dog! We will be coming back soon!

The Blue Heaven River Cabin (#1) is picturesquely nestled along the white water of the McKenzie River, and is decorated in a rustic yet elegant style. Cozy and romantic with a wood burning fireplace with the modern conveniences of home. Jeff's romantic cabin is located in Vida, Oregon, United States. By the way, this is the SAME cabin listed on AIRBNB the last 3 years...I just made a new listing ( and lost my 5/5 star reiviews in the process!) The cozy cabin is located right on the river surrounded by forest. There is a 4 acre meadow across the street that is available for your enjoyment. Terwilliger Hot Springs (Also known as Cougar Hot Springs) is one of those places that you hate to tell others about. You like it so much that you want to keep it a secret from the rest of the world. Simply put, this is a magical spot hidden within this super-natural forest. (I say supernatural not because it is un-natural, but it is the pinnacle of what we would imagine a pristine forest to be. It is that lush forest that we might see on an exotic movie set. Terwilliger Hot Springs are a fantastic place to soak away anxiety and stress that you may have brought with you from the city. It is also a great place to relax after a long hike, mountain bike ride or a day of skiing at Hoodoo. The hot springs emerge from a small cave (you can climb into it) and flows out into 5 cascading pools. As the water flows down into the lower pools the temperature gets a little cooler. Hours: Open year round from dawn to dusk. Directions: As you pass the reservoir on your left take a moment to enjoy the sweeping views. You should see a small shack/kiosk on the right and a parking area on the left. Terwilliger Hot Springs is about 15 minutes from the cottage. Park in the lot and walk on the path to the kiosk. There is a $6 per person day use fee. Pay the fee at the kiosk. There is usually an attendant there, if not pay anyway. (The fees help maintain the hot springs and the fines for not paying are steep.) You’ll continue to walk through the forest for about a 1/4 mile. (No worries – the path is well worn and easy to follow.) Day Use Fee: $6 per person cash or check. Other Hot Springs *For nice hot springs experience without fear of encountering naked people visit Belknap Hot Springs. It is not far away, it is further east up Hwy 126 between McKenzie Bridge and the Ranger Station. Day use fee $10-15. Hot springs are piped into a swimming pool. Indoor changing rooms. HooDoo Ski Bowl: Great family friendly ski area features a new lodge, groomed trails and lift tickets under $50 Hoodoo Ski Area sits on the summit of Oregon’s Santiam Pass and is Oregon’s most centrally located destination for winter sports enthusiasts. Just 45 minutes from the cottage, Hoodoo Ski Area offers more than 800 acres of terrain, 34 runs, five lifts and one of the largest tubing parks in the West. Founded in 1938, Hoodoo is Central Oregon’s original ski area and your destination for family-friendly fun in your backyard! The ski slopes are on a big, rounded butte, with lots of wide open terrain. So whether you prefer the deep and challenging powder of Hoodoo’s backside or the finely groomed runs of the front side, the majesty of Hoodoo’s location and fun of Hoodoo’s night skiing will bring you back again and again. McKenzie River Waterfall Loop Trail Sahalie Falls and Koosah Falls in one awesome hiking experience. Length: 3 miles Elevation: Trail is at 2800 ft. elevation. Season: Spring to Fall Usage: Heavy Difficulty: Moderate Water: Potable water available at Ice Cap Campground. How to get there: From the cottage take Highway 126 east approximately 32 miles to the parking areas of Sahalie Falls and Koosah Falls Viewpoints. Trail Description: This trail is part of the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail. It follows the McKenzie River as it flows over two spectacular waterfalls and cascades into whitewater. Other Area Waterfalls A vast number of rivers and streams are birthed from the depths of central Oregon’s majestic Cascade Mountains. These many rivers create a dazzling display of water features throughout this chain of volcanic mountains. These water features often are displayed as spectacular waterfalls. Koosah Falls / Sahalie Falls Tamolitch Falls (aka Tamolitch Blue Pool) Proxy Falls Rainbow Falls Tamolitch Falls-Tamolitch Blue Pool Once a majestic waterfall, the McKenzie River has changed course and gone underground a few miles up stream. The river only flows over the falls a few times a year, the rest if the time the water emerges from the rocks underwater in the basin of waterfall pool. Tamolitch Blue Pool - Tamolitch FallsThis is a unique site. While it is rare to see a large waterfall ledge completely dry, the color and composition of the pool is also unique. One of the first things you’ll notice is the color of the water. The topaz blue color of the water is almost iridescent – like a blue anti-freeze. The water is so clear that is seems to be only about 5 ft deep – yet closer inspection will reveal that in many spots its over 30 ft deep. So pure in fact that you’d swear the water wasn’t moving – yet at the end of this glass like pond – a volume of water rushes out as the McKenzie River is reborn. I did this hike for the first time last summer. The photos you see are real. The water is the most amazing color. The waterfall ledge is a favorite for jumping on a hot summer day. (The water is cold and be very careful to check the area for safety first). You can hike over the waterfall ledge and find a trail that leads you down to the side of the pool. This unique place is part of Oregon’s famous McKenzie River Trail. It is on the top half of the trail about 2 miles from the halfway point on the trail. The trail goes right by this interesting feature and is a popular place for hikers and mountain bikers to stop and rest while taking in this unique site. For the golf enthusiast Tokatee Golf Club is nestled in the beautiful McKenzie River Valley with glistening views of the Three Sisters Mountains just a short 10 mile drive east.
  • This isn't my first time at this cabin - my friend and I like it so much that we came back! It was just as good as ever - comfy chairs for reading or watching DVDs, cozy fireplace, and the deck for watching the sun allllllll day! We use the cabin as a home base for hiking along the river, and really enjoy the R&R. Already looking at dates to come back again :)

  • Such a great little cabin! So cozy and romantic! And so much history! Loved the rusticness of the cabin, yet it is very well appointed and comfortable. We loved being able to have a fire and enjoy time away from all the craziness of life and reconnect. The roaring of the river was heaven to fall asleep to. It was an amazing weekend getaway and we will definitely be booking another stay in the future!

  • What an incredible place to experience! It was a beautiful, well appointed cabin with rustic, vintage charm, and modern, confortable amenities, located in a stunning place along the river. It was more amazing than we could have imagined, and we’ll certainly be back.

  • What a relaxing and wonderful cabin Jeff has. Everything we could need to stay in, relax, cook meals and just enjoy the beauty and sounds of the river just feet away! Jeff is excellent at communicating and there was plenty of info at the cabin to help with any questions we had once we arrived. We read books from the provided library and watched DVDs that were also provided. The bed was comfy and the temperature was just right with the dual climate controls. We loved the recliners and all the history provided in the old photos and books provided about the history of the cabin and area. We will definitely be back in the future! Thank you Jeff!

Close to Terwilliger Hot Springs, Tamolitch Blue Pool and amazing waterfall hikes, this cute home on retired Ranger Station offers 3 bedrooms and a full kitchen. Easy access to the river that runs along the property edge. AC in living room. Base rate is for 2 people. AirBnB adds $15 per additional person per night. Pet Friendly Cabin. $20 per pet per night. Please let us know if you are bringing pets. Host will charge this directly upon arrival.
We are located in the heart of the McKenzie River Valley which is virtually an outdoor playground. We provide great accommodations without all the hype. It really is OK to sit back and relax and experience your agenda (Whatever that may be) at your own pace. All of our cabins have living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchens, charcoal barbecues, television (cable access) and wireless internet service. There are two general stores in the area and two restaurants. Outside of that, we are fairly remote which leaves you plenty of access to peace and quiet not to mention plenty of adventure waiting for you outside your doorstep. I do live on property so if there is anything you need, please let me know and I will do everything I can to accommodate. I like to make sure everyone gets checked in OK and I will probably stop by about 5 or 10 minutes after you get checked in to make sure everything is as you anticipated but outside of that, I plan on staying out of your way and letting you enjoy your vacation. Please don't think I've abandoned you in any way. We keep our phone number posted on the door to the office and it routes to my cell phone. I may not answer right away (if I'm off property) but rest assured I will get back to you as soon as I can if there is anything you need. Blue River Oregon has 3 commercial businesses in town: There is the McKenzie River Mountain Resort, Meyer's General Store (liquor beer wine limited grocery and movie rental) and a gas station. About 5 miles up the road there is Blue Sky General Store, Takoda's Restaurant and Rustic Skillet Restaurant. Outside of that we are fairly remote so feel free to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. There is public transit (bus) that travels from Eugene, Oregon to Blue River, Oregon and stops just steps from the McKenzie River Mountain Resort. Pet Fees: We love dogs! Please note there is a $20 per pet, per night, fee for your furry friend. The fee helps offset wear and tear of an animal and the extra cleaning required for pet hair and pet dander.
  • Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Lots of outdoor recreational activities nearby. One of the main things missing was adequate seating for our group. The space lists accommodations for 8, yet there was only one couch that sat three people and a chair. Half of our group had nowhere to sit in the living room.

  • Chris's cabin was the perfect place for our large family to gather for the holidays. Plenty of space for everyone with multiple bedrooms. And plenty of parking. Very kind and accommodating before check in. Right next to the river so our doggos has lots of walking area. Really enjoyed this relaxing location.

  • We wanted to find a place for one last summer vacation before school was back in session. We wanted to find a place that wasn’t crowded, felt like home, welcoming, with the ability for our girls to disconnect from their digital creature comforts. We rented the cabin with three bedrooms. It’s feels like a home. I’m enjoying a quiet moment on the comfy couch as my girls are outside playing with kids in another cabin. Those summertime friend moments were exactly what I hoped we’d find. The cabin is very spacious. It has a living room, dining area, full kitchen (fridge, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and high capacity front load washer & dryer). The three bedrooms are also spacious. One has two sets of twin bunk beds. The middle room has a queen bed, and the third room has a king size. There is one bathroom with two sinks, an incredibly deep soaker style tub with shower. In this cabin you feel at home away from home. You do not have that feeling that you are living amongst your luggage as you have in a hotel. The cabin is a short distance to the Blue River Reservoir, Belknap Hot Springs are roughly 15 miles away. One of my favorite stops was at the year-round Christmas Treasure shops! This vacation has been everything we hoped for and we found a diamond. Is it five star luxury, nope but I doubt that’s the vibe they want. And we are happy they aren’t! ❤️

Enjoy the McKenzie River recreation area and the comfort of this Blue River, Oregon cabin. There is a full kitchen including dishes and cookware, front porch, pellet stove (currently not available for use), air conditioning, a queen bed and a double bed, WI-FI, TV and DVD player with tons of movies to enjoy, washer and dryer, jetted tub, and so much more at this easy-to-find property. The area offers hiking, biking, river sports, hot springs, as well as winter sports!
Very easy to find, located near McKenzie High School on Blue River Drive.
  • This place is amazing. I can't wait to come back. Quiet, relaxing, the cabin was perfection. Close to hot springs and hiking. Beautiful short walk down to the McKenzie River. It was the perfect social distancing vacation!

    Chelsea2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely a great place to stay if you want a quiet weekend away that’s near the hot springs and hiking. The house is easy to access and fairly secluded. There’s a church, school, and house near the property but I don’t think the next door house is a full-time residential home and neither the school nor church were occupied over the weekend. It was a very quiet and at night dark area. It really felt like it was just you in the woods. I loved not having city light or sound pollution. The home has a full kitchen but the closest place is like a gas station market that didn’t have very many veggies or things and the ones they did have were expensive and low quality. So I suggest bringing your own food if you want to prepare meals. But Takoda’s is really good and they have vegetarian (and easy to make vegan options). They also have a cute little gift shop that we got some locally made things. It was fun! The home was very clean and cozy. The beds seem like a queen and a full. The queen bed was way too hard for me but my partner liked it okay. The full is more comfortable (in my opinion). The cabin also stays nice and warm. GREAT water pressure and heat for the shower and sinks. 3 adults took pretty long showers and none of us lost the warm water! There is a fire pit out back, which I think can be used but it was too cold and wet for us to do all of that. The nature around the home is an excellent reason to stay here if none of the other great things sway you! Everyone was also very quick with communication and were very accommodating. Thanks for an excellent weekend!!

Things that were better than I expected: bathrooms updated and like new, super comfy queen bed, a regular size kitchen fridge, the large TV, and the friendly staff. • This place is just lovely! Just a short walk down to the river or over the bridge into the teeny town. We saw a heard of elk not 100 yards away, on a misty hillside, next to the smoldering remnants of a burn pile on an adjacent property! Majestic! The space is comfy and private. Easy to find. Chris was a great host. I’m glad I read the reviews, though, and brought staples like spices and cooking oil. Really, bring anything you might want for cooking. Maybe even extra cookware. But the kitchen served us well!

  • Cute place, great location.

    Larry2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a great find and a particularly good deal if you need to lodge several people (3 bedrooms with 5 beds at this price is hard to come by). The bathroom is solid and even has a door between the toilet area and the shower and sink which large groups will know is particularly useful. The decor is pretty outdated, the den seating was limited and not very comfortable, and the AC is a floor unit in the dining/den area only, but that's about all I could complain about.

    Justin2019-06-23T00:00:00Z

  • We only stayed for 1 night, but we want to go back to explore the area more and would stay here if we get back to town. When we arrived Chris gave us a full run down of what the area had to offer and we realized we need to come back. This is a cool cottage with a good size back yard. It would be a great place for a family to stay (6 beds and a comfy couch) and be real comfortable staying there.

  • Our cabin was just the perfect place for a girls get away weekend! We had plenty of room inside the cabin and had everything we needed. I would love to come back!

  • Chris's cabin was a lovely choice for our group. The multiple bedrooms provided privacy for everyone, and the common areas were large enough for everyone to be together comfortably. The cabin was perfect for us to access Terwilliger Hot Springs and the Mackenzie River Trail waterfalls! I would recommend staying at this cabin as an access point for the beautiful surrounding area. Thanks Chris!

  • A very nice and comfortable stay. We received a free upgrade to a bigger cabin after we booked the first one. The beds were soft and the A.C. unit worked fantastic! The bear themed photos was a cool touch. If I ever stay in McKenzie River again, I will definitely consider this place.

My place is close to The McKenzie River. You’ll love my place because of the great outdoor entertaining space right on the river. Perfect place for family reunions, retreats or friends get a ways. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
Family owned lodge directly on white water rapids of the McKenzie River. From the moment you walk into the lodge you are welcomed with floor to open ceiling windows with an exceptional view of the mountains and river. The lodge decor in the main living area is perfect for watching the river or sitting by the large stone fireplace with plenty of seating for everyone. A dining table in the main area is perfect for games or visiting. The dining room has table that has seating for 10 plus a full bar. The commercial kitchen is equipped with a wolf 6 burner gas range, two refrigerators, two dishwashers, two sinks and is fully equipped with everything you need for a gourmet meal. There are 5 master suites. Two of the suites have king beds with private balconies overlooking the river, two suites have two twin beds that can be converted to a king, and the other has two twins beds and a double sleeper sofa, This is a perfect room for the kids to enjoy with a television and extra seating. The deck wraps around the entire river side of the home . This allows many areas to set and enjoy your coffee in the morning and watch the riverboats and rafters go by. There is a fish cleaning sink and outdoor ice maker. An outdoor fire pit on the river is perfect for those cool evenings. You can also enjoy the hot tub for an additional fee.
  • Great home

  • Terri's place was great! Riverview Lodge is aptly named, with the closeness of the water providing not only a great view, but a wonderful sound. The deck was a great place to have a drink, chat with friends, and read. The place is cozy (but big), well-furnished, and clean. My cooking friends were especially impressed by the size of the kitchen, which was well-stocked. There is also has an outdoor sink to clean fish and muddy shoes. The description on the site is accurate, and the host provided detailed driving and check-in instructions and was quick to respond to questions. We'd stay here again!

  • My extended family traveled to Oregon for our daughter's graduation from UO and wanted to stay in a place we could all be together. Riverview Lodge exceeded my expectations in every way possible, and was less expensive than hotel rooms for everyone in the group. The drive from Eugene takes about 45 minutes and is a beautiful drive. You even pass a covered bridge, which we of course had to stop and take pictures of. There is a nearby general store, but you have to go all the way into Springfield or Eugene to get to a big grocery store. The setting is breathtaking. The house sits up over the McKenzie River at a spot overlooking some rapids. There is a deck that wraps around the house and we enjoyed sitting outside watching rafters and kayakers go by and watching the fog come down the river after a rain. The house itself has a warm, cozy feel. The living room has huge windows facing the river, an abundance of couches and chairs, and a table that we used to play cards. There were all sorts of games and puzzles at the ready. There was also a wood burning fire place that we enjoyed, and a huge woodpile outside so we didn't have to worry about buying and transporting wood. The kitchen was unbelievable. It was huge, and had 2 sinks & 2 dishwashers, a huge commercial gas stove, 4 ovens and 3 refrigerators! We were able to cook up some big amazing meals in that kitchen! The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need to make our trip a success. Many airbnb's have bare cupboards, but this one had spices, coffee and tea, oil and other staple like ketchup and mustard. This allowed us to have big meals without having to buy every little ingredient. There were also enough plates, bowls, silverware, serving platters, pots & pans to handle multiple meals. And the huge dinner table allowed us to seat our entire group together for meals.(10-12 people) There was even laundry soap and dryer sheets and it was so nice to be able to do laundry. As far as sleeping arrangements, three bedrooms had king sized beds and the others had pairs of twin beds. We were only expecting two king beds and were already fighting over who would get them! So it worked out well. The beds were comfortable and the linens were nice quality. Every room had a private bathroom which was amazing. Two of the bedrooms (one with a king bed) were on the ground floor which was super nice for my elderly parents. We were excited to see there was a hot tub, but it wasn't filled. We double checked the airbnb listing and realized it said it could potentially be used for an additional fee. So, if that's something you're interested in, arrange it ahead of time. We took a day trip to the Terwilliger Hot Springs (also known as the Cougar Hot...

  • Enjoy the view sitting on the deck no matter what the weather is like. Great place for a family gathering as all bedrooms have attached bathrooms which is wonderful.

  • Loved that the best rapid on that part of the river was right outside the back porch! Great fishing spots nearby. Very comfortable and cozy.

The Oregon Cliff House is one of the Mckenzie rivers most spectacular vacation destinations. Perched on a cliff over looking the beautiful blue green waters of the McKenzie River, this gorgeous home and guest house offers over 2400 of elevated river front views from every room...
  • Had a great time

  • A great place for a family vacation, absolutely beautiful!

  • The Cliff House is a wonderful experience. The house is great and the outdoor space and amenities are spectacular. Between the river, hot tub, wiffle ball field, nearby hikes and golf course you will have difficulty finding time for it all. I also found Shaun to be an informative and helpful host that was always quick to respond. This is the spot for your next group trip!

  • This house and host were amazing! Any question I had before the trip, from what to bring and any accommodation concerns, He answered in a quick and pleasant manner. Arriving to the house was like a dream. The beautiful marble counter tops, to the amazing lounge set ups on the patio that over looks the river. There is no ac, but all bedrooms have oscillating fans connected to the upper corner of the walls. It does get warm in the kitchen and living room during the day, but we bought a few fans to help cool it off. All electronics and appliances worked for us! No problems there. Not only are there many outdoor activities, but the house provides many board games, movies, books and bit of kids toys as well. As for hanging by or in the river, it was spectacular! The water is shallow and cold but feels great in the summer time. Dunking in and letting the sun dry you off. I would recommend water shoes. My family created a little dam and cooler area, so we were walking all around the shallow waters, skipping rocks, and the water shoes were very handy. My family of 16, had an amazing experience! From the campfires, or having a dance party on stage, morning coffee as the sun rises and listening to the river, we will definitely be returning.

  • The OCH is a magical place! Right on a gorgeous stretch of the McKenzie River, the house was a perfect getaway with family and friends! Was hard to leave. The space is huge-lots of outdoor spaces to play in and the whiffle ball field is amazing! Whether you are soaking in the hot tub overlooking the river or cooking in the big kitchen, Shaun’s place is a relaxing and rejuvenating place!
