  • Mary's place is a wonderful traditional Irish B&B. Bonus that it is walking distance to the local pubs.

  • Loved our stay at the Murphy’s farm house! Having been in their family for several generations they really know how to accommodate. With several options for breakfast our stomachs always left full and satisfied for our journey around the Dingle peninsula and to Killarney national park!

  • A cozy bed and breakfast close to the gorgeous Gap of Dunloe and Ring of Kerry. Comfortable beds and amazing breakfast.

  • What a great find for our group of (9). We wanted somewhere that we could rest for the night prior to exploring the Dingle Peninsula and this options was perfect. We arrived in from Killarney and the the Ring of Kerry and it was a good stopping point between both the Ring and the Peninsula. If you are looking for a traditional bed and breakfast this is the place - from the minute you drive up to the cute pink house you know you found what you expect in Ireland. We had (9) of us and each room was had it's own bathroom - I had (4) rooms - 3 for couples all with Queen Beds and (1) for 3 with a Queen and (2) twin beds . There is a small parlor for guests to gather in the evening and wifi . It is a short walk to (2) pubs - Murphy's Bar where we enjoyed Pizza - with several options prior to turning in for the night. Mary and her daughter prepared a great breakfast beginning at 8:30am - with several choices. We were full and ready for our trip to Dingle and Slea Head. Would highly recommend a night here if you are finishing the Ring of Kerry and heading to the Dingle Peninsula. Great hosts and very friendly. Thank you Mary !

  • Snug camping pods in a beautiful area. Nice and clean.

    Hattie2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • John, welcomed us despite being the middle of the night, helped us find the pod, he was very patient. The pod is really nice, it allows you a camping experience but with the comfort of an apartment. Beautiful!

    Ilaria2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Really fast communication helped me find the place much easier. The location was amazing with breathtaking views. Hospitality was comforting with options for lots of food in the common area. The Pod was exactly what I expected and needed.

    Mags2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice stay! The pods are very well insulated, we did not have sleeping bags but the host kindly lent us. John is very friendly and welcoming, and there is everything you need in the main building (shower, toilet, kitchen and even a 'snack' with coffee and pastries). We hiked to the lake at dawn the next day, the scenery is beautiful and the calm is very appreciable. A real good surprise!

    Camille2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nestled in the foothills of the mountains this place is as scenic as you could want. Met lots of lovely people there to tackle the mountain as well. The tea rooms, showers and accommodation are all fantastic...you will really enjoy the amazing home baking and warm atmosphere when you come down off the mountain. Showers and amenities are great just remember to bring lots of euro coins for the shower and no cash machine so take cash with you. I will definitely be back to use again in the future. Big thank you to the hosts.

    David2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Not for those looking for 5 star hotel accommodation. But if like us, you're a happy camper and hiker, you will be more than satisified to have a comfortable pod to sleep in after a challenging day's hiking, and to be warm and dry in spite of the elements swirling around you!

    Oreena2019-08-06T00:00:00Z

  • The property and location was fantastic. We had eight people in our party including four young children- one of which is a toddler. Therefore not having the comforts of home and certain items can make things stressful. This honesty and truly was a home away from home. We had everything we could have ever wanted and more. The space was huge and was perfect for the adults as well as a great space and things to occupy the kids. It is spacious inside and out of with a phenomenal view in the back. However, what set this far above though for us was the communication with the host. We had to reach out twice to the host, not to any fault of the host or issue with the property but our own fault and received an instant response both times. The host was fantastic and more then helpful. This place will be in our list should we ever return to Ireland. I highly recommend this property if you are looking to stay in the area. It is a perfect location to spend time on the Dingle peninsula or the ring of kerry.

Excellent to relax and unwind and enjoy some time to read (we loved the where’s Waldo book 😂), a glass of wine and explore the local sites. It is very close to the Gap of dungloe which is a must and the mountains. An easy drive to Killarney and an hour to Dingle. Highly recommended

  • Staying at Riona and Paddy’s was the highlight of our trip. Fiona’s hiking recommendations were incredible! We walked a loop through the Gap of Dunloe and it couldn’t have been a better day. We had such a great time chatting with them over drinks and learning about Irish culture. They are witty and charming and so kind and generous! The guest house was great! We live cozy attic sleeping nooks and wood stoves so it was perfect. There are loads of interesting books about Ireland and the area and we had a great time perusing them on the couch in the evening. Their restaurant recommendations were also great! The Sol y Sombra tapas place in Killorglin was wonderful -both food and atmosphere, in an old church. Really cool. We hope to see these two again and it was the perfect quiet location for exploring Killarney NP and all of Kerry. We should have stayed longer and are so grateful for their hospitality!

    Sarah2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Riona and Paddy were very welcoming hosts. They had the cottage warm and super clean for us on arrival. Beautiful cottage in an amazing part of the country.

    Ross2019-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Paddy and Riona's place. The place was sparkling clean, felt like home and was filled with thoughtful gestures. The hosts gave us great local tips that made our trip. Access to the loft bedroom may be difficult for some, but was fine for us. Would definitely stay again in future.

    Christie2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • I would like to take this as an opportunity to request Air BnB to reduce all of my former reviews by at least one to two stars so I can rate this one with 5 stars. This would be the only way to reflect how amazing the stay with Riona and Paddy was. From the very first second we felt hearthly welcomed. The venue was lovely and extraordinary. This stay will be forever in our memories as something truly special. Thank you so much!

    Kay2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • it was perfect ! we were greeted warmly. Riona had already heated up for us, so that we could make it comfortable on the couch in the evening. fresh bread, fruit and many other breakfast ingredients were ready. The cottage was the perfect base for our excursions

    Manuela2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful cottage in the country. Quick drive to food, pubs or to Killarney. Incredible advise from Riona for driving the ring of Kerry as well as to Dingle. The highlight of our trip. So friendly and so accomodating. Highly recommend.

    Killarney, Kerry, Ireland

Tucked into the hillside beneath the mighty Macgillycuddy Reeks, in Alohart just twenty minutes drive from Killarney, White Cottage Barn is the perfect mountain retreat for hill walkers, countryside lovers and seekers of peace and quiet, and a great base from which to explore this beautiful part of Ireland. Close to Beaufort, the Gap of Dunloe, Carrauntoohil and the popular Ring of Kerry. Perfect for couples or the solo traveller, but can accommodate a third person by use of the sofa bed.
Your private front door leads into a tiled utility area with washing machine, space for coats and boots, and plenty of storage for clothes. The compact shower room with large shower cubicle, toilet and basin is also in this area. Towels supplied. A semi glazed door leads into the main living area which is bright and modern, cosy and quirky. A fully equipped kitchen occupies one corner, with everything you need whether you're microwaving a ready meal or cooking a full roast dinner. A table and chairs provide a pleasant place to eat. The woodburner keeps the Barn warm and snug (logs, kindling and firelighters are all provided). A comfortable sofa bed and TV complete this space. A selection of books, DVDs and games are also provided for wet or lazy days. Patio doors look out onto part of MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, and the window has a pleasant view of Strickeen mountain. The sleeping mezzanine is reached via custom built stairs. Please note that these stairs are much like a ladder, steep and therefore not suitable for anyone with mobility issues - the sofa bed can be used in this instance. The mezzanine is equipped with double bed, bedside tables and lighting. It has low headroom (you can't stand up) but enough to sit up in bed and enjoy a cosy cuppa! Patio doors open onto a small, private patio with picnic bench for warm days. Grassed areas, trees and shrubs are complemented by a tumbledown stone outbuilding, and stone steps lead up to the lane behind the Barn, your own private gateway to the surrounding countryside and mountains.
White Cottage Barn is the last but one property up a winding mountain road in a very quiet area, but has a small food store just four minutes drive away, and within ten minutes' drive you will find three bars in the village of Beaufort, and the famous Kate Kearney's Cottage (bar and restaurant with live music in season) on the road to the Gap of Dunloe. Killarney with its beautiful national park and lakes are within twenty minutes' drive. Killarney and Killorglin are lovely nearby towns with excellent shops and a variety of places to eat. But you don't even have to get in the car to enjoy the stunning surroundings. From your front door you can wander out into the verdant green fields behind the barn, criss-crossed with ancient mossy walls and gnarly trees. Alternatively, walk up the lane and through a gate and you are on the fells beneath the craggy heights of Cruach Mhor and the Big Gun Ridge. Forty minutes of wild hiking will take you to two little lakes hidden away in a valley beneath Cnoc an Bhraca, or take a picnic and find a place to sit by the tumbling mountain streams and waterfalls. This area is off the beaten track, so you are likely to have it all to yourselves. Apart from the sheep and mountain hares!
  • Such a beautiful and peaceful stay! Both Tess&Steve are lovely and provided us everything we may need. We can not wait to come back here again soon!!

    Berfug2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Tessa are incredible hosts- there are some very thoughtful touches in the house and they provide a wealth of info about the area through literature in the house and themselves. Even more special, was their helpful note about baby lambs in the farm next door which we were besotted with :) When next we are in the area, will most certainly be staying again.

    Claire2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • If you're still thinking whether to book Steve and Tessa’s place or not, think no more. Everything was amazing, one of the best AirBnB experience we had so far. Steve and his friend were the only people who helped us when we stuck in the mud with our rented car. Our car provider in the same time advised us to call fire brigade instead of any help. Steve and Tessa are amazing as well as their place, you'll not be disappointed.

    Sergey2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful little place that has amazing views and is set in such a picturesque area. Steve and Tessa were wonderful hosts and really able to help us settle and show us some great gems in the area. Such a quiet and peaceful place located surprisingly close to lots of towns so there is so much to see and do! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for a bit but still have the option to see and do so much!

    Michael2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Without a doubt we would come and stay here again and again. I will save everyone from having to read the same positive reviews. I'm assuring you if you stay at White Cottage Barn your trip to Killarney will be peaceful, relaxing and full of Ireland's finest country. Tessa and Steve have the most positive, warm energy. The cottage is incredibly clean, it's stocked with everything you need without feeling cluttered or overwhelmed. The suggestions on local pubs, restaurants and attractions are spot on and the countryside, cottage views and location to nature a pure dream. Our trip around Ireland ended here and I'm glad it did or I would have wished for such an experience the whole time.

    Stephanie2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I strongly recommend a stay at the cottage. Between nights in cities like Galway and Dublin, a getaway at the cottage is relaxing and peaceful! It is clean and even more beautiful than the pictures! We recommend a visit of the amazing Gap of Dunloe and walks around Killarney National park (don’t miss Muckross abbey). Then, come back at the cottage and have a drink by the warming fireplace!

    Katherine2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were warmly welcomed by Tessa and Steve's reception. Communication and check-in worked smoothly. The accommodation is equipped with everything important and furnished with love. The house is located quite apart in the mountains. Simply wonderful there.

  • What a lovely cottage & surrounds to spend 10 days at! Lovely nearby walks & great for me as a birdwatcher. Cottage is very homely & well set out to be self contained & independent. Close enough to lots of places down south, unfortunately due to Covid restrictions we couldn’t experience that part, but close to the cottage was wonderful.

  • Elain is truly a superhost - she has a knack of making you feel very welcome and the house has a nice personal touch. My son really appreciated the packets of biscuits and cocopops. Thanks Elaine

  • Was a fun place to stay for the night. The exterior walls are a bit thin, so you will hear a bit of sound from the farm and trucks driving by, but it all dies down in the evening. Other than that, the stay was awesome and we would totally book here again

    Chris2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • So beautiful! We loved the lambs and the wonderful fireplace. Very close to the ring of Kerry and very easy to get to.

    Caitlin2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Warm comfortable cottage just out of Killarney. Elaine very helpful with directions and suggestions for sightseeing. Loved the wood fire. Eggs, milk, margarine, cereal, cookies etc provided. Easy parking off the road. Would return.

    Robyn2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful cottage! So cute and well maintained Elaine had eggs, milk and butter waiting for us so the next morning we were good to go. After a long day of travel the last thing that you want is to have to find a store and shop. Elaine was quick To answer all of our questions! Waking up to sheep just outside the door was wonderful, what made it even more fun was that one of the little sheep got out and was walking around the cottage next to ours. When we reached out to Elaine she was quick to respond letting us know that it happens all the time and not to worry. Unfortunately because of traveling during this pandemic we were unable to meet Elaine and her husband, but I hope the next time that we are in the area this place is available so we can book it again!! Thank you Elaine for making our stay special!!!

  • You definitely get your money’s worth out of this place. The bed is comfortable, the location great, and they offer a little breakfast. The hosts were also super friendly and helpful.

  • Lovely spot very near Gap of Dunloe. Viktoria was friendly and provided generous cold breakfast options. Short drive out of town but provided the escape from the touristic center of Killarney I was seeking.

  • Lovely room, perfect location to explore the Ring of Kerry and all the gems.

    Geraldine2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was fantastic staying here, the place was lovely and cosy with a nice homely feel. The room and bed were great with space to unpack and put clothing. It was nice to chat with Viktoria and her partner in the evenings and at breakfast that was kindly supplied with nice options. I would stay here again if passing through another time.

  • This is a special spot, near to Killarney and some incredible nature. It’s in walking distance to the Gap of Dunloe and Carrauntoohil, which is lovely as I was without a car during my visit. Viktoria and Spiros are kind hosts and super helpful in learning more about the area. I appreciated the breakfast each morning and sharing the day’s adventures with them. If you’re looking for a stay closer to nature and a place to rest, I recommend checking in here.

  • Staying with Marie in her lovely apartment was a treat. Communicating with her was easy and she was very helpful and kind. The apartment is located right by the Ring of Kerry which is a must see when you are in the area. The house is also close to groceries so if you run out of stuff or are prepping food for trips it’s just a short drive away. The apartment is very clean, modern and all the utilities work and are clean as well. The bed is very comfortable so after a long hike you won’t have to worry about sleeping on a saggy mattress (something I personally look out for). I stayed there with my partner for 3 nights and we both really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to everyone who wants to see this part of the country.

  • An amazing place for our one night stop in Killarney. Marie provided us with an amazing dinner recommendation too! Hope to stay again!

    Kelsey2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We ended up arriving late however Marie had the apartment ready early as requested. It's a lovely apartment in a ideal location. A few kilometres from the gap of Dunloe and right on the ring of Kerry. On arrival, the room was in pristine condition and the homemade scones and buns were a lovely touch. We came prepared for self catering but there was milk, jam and butter in the fridge as well as a carton of Tropicana which went down well with herself. Marie was a pleasure to deal with. All correspondence was replied to in a timely manner and all requests from us were met. I highly recommend Marie and Alder House as a base to see Kerry. There is a lovely view of the mountains from the property as well. Only 10mins from Kilarney too. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

  • Lovely place, very clean and comfortable with some lovely touches!

    Ailbhe2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean suite. The apartment is directly attached to the house, but is very private. Kitchen is well stocked and has enough to prepare some basic meals as well as tea and coffee. Bed is comfortable and warm. Parking was easy and location is easy to find. It's very convenient for exploring the Gap of Dunloe, the National Park, and an easy drive to Dingle. Host is friendly and helpful, with quick communication. Highly recommended.

    Scott2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot recommend Marie's place enough, both the home itself and the surrounding areas are beautiful. We spent a very peaceful night here after a day touring the spectacular Ring of Kerry (consider taking a little detour off the ring to the Skelligs Ring Bray Head viewing point). Marie recommended Kate Kearney's Cottage for dinner where we had a lovely meal and the next morning we had some of the scones and buns that Marie so thoughtfully left for us. We won't hesitate to return.

    Rebecca2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This studio has to be one of the best places to stay when wanting to visit Killarney. Marie was a lovely host and very thoughtful.

  • Had a wonderful 7 night stay at The Lookout on our Ireland trip recently. The apartment was cozy and clean to our expectation when we checked in. It is exactly the same as it is in the picture shown in Airbnb website. Thanks to Dee for her hospitality especially helped to do our laundry during our stay. Really appreciated that :). Once again, thank you and hope to come back again.

    Sp2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Lookout was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend in Killarney. It had everything we needed plus the extraordinary views. Dee and Aidan were welcoming and easy to get in touch with.

    Íomar2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Lookout is exactly as pictured. Perfect for two people, cozy and comfortable but not cramped. Furnishings and amenities are all premium and the construction was very well done. Dee and Aiden were most hospitable, offering the use of their washer and dryer for laundry day. Close enough to Killarney to be downtown in just a few minutes yet nice and quiet at the place. We stayed five nights-did the Ring of Kerry one day, the Dingle Peninsula one day and Killarney National Park one day-all were convenient and we were home before dark. We would definitely stay again.

  • Catriona is an amazing host. She greeted us in person, gave us some great local tips, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her house is perfectly situated between the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula, and remote enough to see about a billion stars at night. The room was large, clean, and cozy, the bed was comfortable, and there was an en-suite bathroom. There is really nothing to complain about, and you would be very lucky to stay here.

  • Fantastic location and local recommendations. Breakfast goodies are set up in the hall upstairs and the bathroom is attached to the room which is great! The only thing we feel we need to mention is we were walked in on while still in bed one morning by the little girl in the house, whom opened our locked door with a separate set of keys she had. Other than that, great family stay in the area!

  • Had a wonderful stay at Brenda’s guesthouse. Really thoughtfully designed space, especially the bathroom (best shower ever!). Breda and Michael were very welcoming, and had great advice for how to make the most out of your stay. It was a quick 10-15 minute drive into Killarney, with a beautiful mountain view in good weather. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

    Chrissy2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, stylish apartment, perfect for 2 people. Kitchen was small but usable and patio area was very pleasant to eat outside in. Fridge is very small and sufficient to store milk and one or 2 other small things. Not big enough to store a few nights food if you plan on cooking in.

    Jayne2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • The place was lovely and relaxing. The space felt very homey, and we felt right at home. Breda was a great host; she was very quick to respond and quick to offer recommendations. Location-wise, this place was a great distance to Killarney National Park, but far enough out to be quiet and calm and feel away from it all. All-in-all, great.

  • This is a lovely little side annex to the main house. Very clean, private and modern. A great place to come back and rest in after exploring all that the Kingdom has to offer! Breda was a great host offering suggestions on what to do in the area and looking out for guests welfare. Thanks for having us!

  • Breda’s place was perfect for us! It is in a quaint and quiet countryside location that was just what we were looking for between our stay and travels in Kilkenny and then on to Kinvara in the Burren area. The apartment is spacious, very clean, and equipped with everything we needed. Michael was a huge help in assisting us with planning our short time in Killarney National Park. Thanks to him, we had the best day of our Ireland trip so far. Highly recommend the 2 hour boat trip from Ross Castle to Lord Brandon’s Cottage then 11km hike to Kate Kearney’s Cottage and back to castle by bus. Breda and Michael are wonderful hosts and we would love to come back and stay with them again!

  • Nora had such amazing personal touches to the house which just made it feel more like home. The view was absolutely spectacular it's a bit of a drive out of the city but the 10 minutes to get to town and the view definitely worth it!!

Our quietly-located and peaceful chalet is nestled within 5 acres of meadowland and trees on what was once a railway track, closing in 1960. The chalet is ideally situated for the Wild Atlantic Way and The Ring of Kerry, located just a couple of miles from where the Dingle and Iveragh peninsulas meet. We are in easy reaching distance of beautiful beaches. As well as Killarney, and it's National Park. We're sure you'll love this gleaming and beautiful part of Ireland's south-west coast.
The cabin is situated on 5 acres of meadow and young orchard trees planted within the last 5 years. The closest neighbours over 250 metres away. There is often a donkey or two in the field next door. Lovely views west towards the Slieve Mish Mountains, and local small farms in the neighbouring community. A warm and cosy wood cabin, with all necessary equipment for a relaxed stay. Killarney is only 10 miles away (20 minute drive) Inch Beach 12 miles Carrauntoohil (Cronin's Yard Car Park to start your hike) 15 miles Nearest town for shops - Castlemaine 2 miles
Closest neighbours over 200metres away. And closest road 300m away. All -in-all, a very peaceful spot!
  • A great location for discovering all Kerry has to offer. Easy check in and Peter was great to stay in contact with quick responses to messages. Such a lovely cabin with all you could need a break away from everything. Would definitely stay again.

    Brenda2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the railway sleeper. The location is beautiful and very convenient if traveling between locations in the west. Peter and Helen were excellent hosts! The cottage was well equipped - we appreciated the opportunity to do a load of wash, and the board games and books kept us occupied in the absence of tv/WiFi. We unfortunately had bad weather, but the cottage was very warm and cozy on a cold rainy night. We would absolutely stay again.

  • Such a lovely peaceful place to switch off. Peters mum met us on arrival and spoke to us about the gardens as we have just bought a house ourselves and need inspiration for neglected space. Met the friendly sheep around the corner too!!What can I say, this place is perfect to switch off and just relax without the hustle and bustle of life, would highly recommend to anyone to visit this gem.

It’s an excellent base for touring the Ring of Kerry or the Wild Atlantic Way
The space is a secondary unit within the house itself. It consists of 3 rooms in total. 1 bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen come living area . Guests have access to the large garden but also have their own patio outside the place. The space itself is self contained and has it's own private entrance. It is fully furnished, with tv, fridge, oven/hob, tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom: Shower, wash basin and toilet. Rossbeigh strand which is also nearby, is a lovely long sandy beach ideal for family days out, horse trekking, long walks and water sports. There is a great children's playground here.
  • Great place, very confi and cozy. Highly recommended.

    Yasmin2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's guest suite was AMAZING. Designed very well and very clean. Little coffee maker and kettle (although no tea sadly), beautiful rooms and decor. Very comfortable bed and beautiful view of the mountains out the door. Only issue we had was being woken up by the door from the bedroom to the main house rattling quite a few times in the morning. That in no way effected my love of this place and I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay near Killarney. Fast wifi, smart TV with netflix, youtube, etc.

    Kim2020-03-04T00:00:00Z

  • Convenient location if you have a car and want to travel around Kerry. Hosts are welcoming and the dog (not living in the house where you stay) is very friendly and nice. Great and prompt communication. You may want to bring slippers as the tiled floor may be a bit cold. Overall great place to stay

  • This place is so lovely to stay in. Hosts were very kind and helpful. We had a lovely couple of days relaxing here. It is so clean and had some really nice, thoughtful touches that made it extra special. Lots of suggestions left on places to go etc and bikes available if you need them.

  • Noel’s home was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! It was hotel standard and excellently situated beside Killarney National Park and near the Main Street of Killarney. They went above and beyond to welcome us and even left chocolates on our pillow! The kitchen is very well-equipped for cooking and the apartment also comes with two bikes. Make sure to cycle to Mahony’s Point for sunset!

    Isabelle2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great and exactly as described/depicted. They went above and beyond with extra touches like milk/beer in the refrigerator, robes/slippers in the bedroom, etc.

    Ben2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was THE BEST Airbnb we’ve stayed in to date. Everything was clean and organized. There were multiple amenities that we were able to utilize, and he left so many tips and tricks for us that helped make our experience in Killarney that much better!

    Joseph2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Noel's place is amazing! Extra little touches made this place our favorite! The bedding and towels were far superior to any other Airbnbs that we stayed at while in Ireland. It's small things like nice linens that make a big difference on overall comfort and feel of a space.

    Taylor2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I’d a really lovely stay here. The place is very clean, stylish, warm and comfortable. I’ll hopefully be back later in the year! Really recommend this accommodation.

  • We loved this cottage at the base of Killarney NP mountains. We will never stay anywhere else, this place was perfect and brand new!! This location is great to get to hiking and also the town of Killarney. We cooked several meals here, loved the washer and dryer and enjoyed the very comfortable beds and linens provided. Check in was easy and the Bosch coffee maker made the most delicious beverages to get us going before our daily hikes. The cottage was spotless and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the mountains away from the village but close enough to access it quickly.

    Amanda2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful little place, exceptionally clean with lots of excellent little thoughtful touches

    Frank2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, cozy and warm - being welcomed by litten fireplace was just magical! You have all you need to feel home, the kitchen is so new and the whole house is extremely clean and comfy! Also just a 15 min drive to Killarney so close to amazing hike spots! Really recommended!

    Giulia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Simply the BEST! I can’t say enough great things about Elaine’s place. We were welcomed to the beautiful home after a long day of driving with a warm fire and amazing views. The house sits in the middle of a lovely farmland atmosphere that faces majestic mountains. The home seemed brand new and had amazing touches to make it special. Elaine was so helpful during our trip giving us step by step directions with pictures to find the place and even recommending places to dine. The highlight of our trip was the Elaine arrange for her father-in-law to give us a tour of the sheep farm. It was amazing. Our stay was so relaxing and tranquil that we are planning our next visit for later this summer. I can’t say enough about this lovely home and the great experience that we had during our trip.

    Sean2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was a delightful cottage to stay in! With a lovely “modern with a touch of glam” style, the most beautiful mountain view out the bedroom windows, and a fun herd of sheep as neighbors, this is a winner. Close to Killarney and the Ring of Kerry, it also boasts a friendly host who is both quick to respond and full of tips about the local area. Other than a little initial confusion finding the place after dark, which was speedily resolved with Elaine’s help, I really enjoyed this wonderful little cottage.

  • This place was exactly what I was looking for. Self catering in a beautiful location. It’s a lovely hours walk into Killarney or an enjoyable 10 minute taxi ride with friendly drivers. The view is incredible, the place friendly and cosy and Lisa was helpful and very welcoming. After a days walk around the park I couldn’t wait to get back, curl up on the sofa and read a good book. On my second day I almost didn’t leave the flat it was so nice!

    Phil2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic stay here over the weekend, the apartment has everything you need, perfect for a couple! The view from the balcony is astonishing to say the least, it's not too far from town and next to the gap of Dunloe and the national park. Lisa made us feel very welcome from the start and made a few recommendations, she suggested going to gentling Thai restaurant and it was delicious, would definitely recommend staying here if you are thinking of visiting killarney. 10/10

This room is a twin bedded room ie 2 single beds. See photo. It is a spacious light clean and airy room with large window over looking back garden. It has double wardrobe and chest of drawers. It has its own private bath and shower room. It is a very quiet house. It has its own TV.
Plenty of advice and brochures on " Must places to visit" places to eat etc.
A very quiet neighbourhood. My thatched cottage is one of 40 in this private complex. There is the Village Inn which has a very tasty Menu and local Ales and of course our famous Guinness.
  • We had a fantastic stay with Julie. The home was nice, comfy, quiet and restful. Just 5 min drive to centre of Killarney! But what stood out was Julie’s genuiness & warmth as a host. Will stay here again if I have a chance

    Christopher2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Julie’s place was outstanding. We had a great time in her beautiful and very clean home. The breakfast was great and she even helped us wash our clothes. Julie was very nice and gave us great tips. It’s very well located 10 minutes by car from many supermarkets and restaurants as well as the city center. I would definitely recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

    Jutta2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Julie is a personable, relaxed and attentive host, fully deserving of her super host status. She creates a home away from home experience with added little extras, which were most appreciated. We loved sharing her home and her other guests were also a bonus. If you are looking for comfy beds, lovely breakfast, great hospitality then Julie’s home is the one for you. We highly recommend Julie’s cottage. Thank you Julie for being a wonderful host. Rob and Wayne

  • I had a wonderful stay here. The space is extremely clean and homey, and Julie is an amazing host! Nice breakfast spread of fresh fruit, toast, yogurt, etc. and option for laundry. It’s a ways from town (about a 25 min walk), but Julie will transport you to and from if she can. I was without a car, and the distance wasn’t a problem. One of my best air bnb experiences.

  • The Fernheight Cottage is the PERFECT place to stay near Gap of Dunloe. Only a few minute drive from Kate Kearney’s cottage and easy access to all that Killarney National park has to offer. We loved walking up and watching the nearby cows in the morning. Thank you for the hospitality!

    Danielle2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed for two nights at the Fern Height Cottage during our honeymoon across Ireland. It was a big space for the two of us, but we loved how close it was to Killarney and the Dunloe Gap (including Kate Kearney's Cottage). It would be a great place to stay with a family - plenty of beds and bathrooms. We also loved that there was access to a washer and dryer. The property itself was beautiful and on a small cattle farm, so we said hello to cows when we headed out each morning. Overall, it was a cute place and I would recommend it to future guests heading to Killarney, and especially so for small families.

    Kathleen2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful tranquil setting close to Kate Kearney’s cottage for access to Gap of Dunloe and an easy jump onto the Ring of Kerry or 15 minute drive into Killarney. Beautiful grounds and cottage like something out of a story and the wood stove was so nice to put on when we returned from a day's outing.

    Linda2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • My husband & I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our first trip to Ireland. Fernheight Cottage is so cozy and comfortable. The view overlooking the farm pastures really added to our stay. The cottage is located near Killarny so it was a great location for our sightseeing day trips. The entire home was clean and our bed was so comfortable. We really appreciated the amenities (fully equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, plenty of room to relax and enjoy our stay). I highly recommend Fernheight Cottage to anyone that is looking for a private stay in Ireland. Great location for star gazing!

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Charlie’s house. He was a great host, so welcoming and hospitable. The house was lovely and warm on arrival with the fire down, and he was very respectful of our privacy and accommodating to us. Location is lovely, across from Charlie’s house and on his farm, it was very peaceful and clean

  • We had a nice stay in Faha, away from the hustle and bustle of Killarney. The kids loved visiting the horses in the stables next door and we found the staff at the local pub to be friendly and wiling to let us use their wifi anytime. Close to great hiking in the Dunloe Gap area. John was very responsive with questions and requests we had and everything was attended to right away.
