Two steps lead down into the living room, and the following rooms are on the ground floor: Living room: This stunning room has a beautiful exposed Cotswold stone wall and a stone fireplace with an electric flame effect stove. There is a leather sofa, two armchairs, a leather pouffe and an Ottoman, and a small selection of board games and the wall-mounted Smart TV with DVD player provide entertainment for rainy days; Kitchen/dining room: The well-equipped kitchen overlooks the enclosed garden and contains an electric oven with four-ring induction hob, kettle, toaster, coffee percolator, a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. This sociable space also has a wooden table with seating for four, as well as a leather sofa and a stereo; Family bathroom: The smart bathroom, decorated in neutral colours, contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet and wash basin. A wooden door from the living room opens to reveal a steep staircase up to the first floor landing, off which are the two bedrooms in the eaves: Master bedroom: This romantic room has a double bed, a chest of drawers and a hanging rail for further storage; Bedroom 2: This cosy room overlooks the garden and has a built-in double bed, chest of drawers and hanging rail. The garden is accessed from the kitchen and has two attractive seating areas bordered by leafy shrubs and colourful flowers. One area has a Rattan furniture set and the other has an outdoor table with seating for four, along with a gas barbecue. The rest of the garden is laid to lawn and is a lovely area to relax and unwind in the warmer months. Broadway is a beautiful village in the North Cotswolds, steeped in history and surrounded by stunning countryside. The village gets its name from the wide street, or broad way, that runs through the centre which was once the main road from Worcester to London. This attractive High Street is bordered with chestnut trees and honey coloured stone cottages dating from the 16th century and is one of the most picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. The broad way is thought to be especially wide because at one time there used to be streams running each side of the main drive. These streams were eventually hidden in underground pipes where they would emerge at 'dipping' points, but sadly they are now almost completely invisible. The village has artistic links with famous dwellers including J.M. Barrie, Mary Anderson and William Morris, who were drawn to the tranquillity of Broadway. It was here that Morris and John Ruskin pioneered the idea of the Arts and Crafts Movement which made its home in the area and went on to be an international movement. One of the iconic features of the village is Broadway Tower which was built in the late 18th century by the Earl of Coventry. It is said that the tower was erected so that the Countess could see if her Cotswold estate was visible from Croome Court in Worcestershire, which it was. The folly stands some 1,024 feet above sea level, making it the second highest point in the Cotswolds after Cleeve Hill. In fact, on a clear day, visitors are able to see 14 counties from the top! William Morris was so taken by the tower that he went on to establish the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings in 1877. Food & Drink Broadway has a number of places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit most tastes and budgets. The list below is a sample of the options available: Russell's (www.russellsofbroadway.co.uk): Head Chef, Neil Clarke, serves modern British food in the award-winning restaurant, with local Vale of Evesham and Cotswold produce featuring throughout the daily-changing menus. The modern, airy dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with friendly staff and laid-back service combining to create a relaxed and warm setting, day and night; The Lygon Arms (http://www.thehotelcollection.co.uk/hotels/the-lygon-arms-hotel-cotswolds/): A 17th century minstrel's gallery, a grand open fire and an imposing barrel-vaulted ceiling greet you as you enter The Great Hall, the main dining room of the famous Lygon Arms Hotel. A destination in its own right, people travel miles to enjoy the restaurant's 2 AA Rosettes for excellence sumptuous cuisine and warm friendly service of the highest quality. A few steps across the courtyard, Lukes Bistro offers a relaxing atmosphere serving traditional English cuisine with a contemporary twist, equally as imaginative and as fresh, using ingredients that are grown and reared locally, including a wide range of herbs and plums from the hotel's own orchards; The Potting Shed (www.dormyhouse.co.uk/potting-shed-restaurant): The Potting Shed is everything a Cotswold country dining pub should be. It's relaxed and inviting, with a large leather-and-oak bar and a rustic agenda. This is English pub grub as it ought to be: sticky ribs, great bangers, slow-cooked pork belly and fish that's been caught on our shores. Dress up and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, or dress down and bring the kids.

The gabled porch at the front of the property is a useful space for storing coats and shoes, and from here, the stable front door leads into a small hall. The following rooms are on the ground floor: Living room: This elegant room has original beams and bespoke furnishings and contains a large sandstone fireplace with cosy wood burning stove, two sofas and a footstool, a Smart TV with Netflix access for account holders only, and a well-stocked games cupboard with board games, books and children’s drawing books; Kitchen/dining room: Through the internal French doors in the living room lies the wonderful open plan kitchen/dining area. This luxurious space, reminiscent of a Homes & Gardens feature, is flooded with natural light from the glass roof lantern and is perfect for socialising. This space contains a double electric oven, a three-ring induction hob and extraction bar, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a washing machine, iPod docking station with Bluetooth connector, round dining table with seating for four and two armchairs; Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and wash basin. This bedroom contains a king size bed, a fitted wardrobe and trunk for additional storage, a gilt-edged mirror and an armchair; Bedroom 2: Overlooking the garden, this lovely room has a modern contemporary countryside décor and contains a double bed, bedside tables and hanging rail with shelf for storage and a bedroom chair; Family bathroom: A stylish bathroom which contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin, heated towel rail and demister mirror. The enchanting south facing back garden wraps around the cottage, with miniature box hedges and an array of beautiful flowers, shrubs and mature trees filling the raised beds at the borders. An impressive date palm tree gives the garden an exotic feel and besides this lies the patio area which contains a large outdoor table with seating for four and a charcoal barbecue. To the side of the cottage there is a lawn area and the addition of dusk-to-dawn sensory lights around the garden creates a romantic atmosphere and makes it a delightful spot to relax in the summer months once the sun’s set. Two stone steps lead up to the summer house which looks down the driveway and across to the neighbouring farmland and 12th century church. Equipped with heating, electricity and a spacious bamboo seating area, the summer house is another wonderful area in which to unwind after days spent exploring the Cotswolds. The gated driveway provides off-street parking for up to two small cars, and further on-street parking is available on the lane.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • A fabulous, stylish and comfortable cottage.

    Alison2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is so beautiful, even better than the photos. The interior design is spot on for a cottage. Really quiet location which is what we were looking for, but only a 10 min drive to the busier villages with shops, restaurants and cafes.

Also incredibly peaceful with lovely views from both sides of the house and a short drive to the loveliest villages of the Cotswolds. We will be back as soon as we have the opportunity.

The place was extremely clean and tidy with everything we needed to relax and chill out. Steve and his wife were really friendly and let us know how to contact them but left us to it which was great. Highly recommend Dover Hill for lovely views across the Cotswolds. Great for a couple and our dog, thanks again!

Weston sub Edge is a small village close to the start of the Cotswold Way, 20 minutes from the home of Shakespeare at Stratford Upon Avon, two miles from Chipping Campden and its Music and Literature Festivals, Broadway, Longborough Opera, Daylesford, National Trust properties such as Hidcote and Snowshill Manor. We are the ideal location for walking and exploring, so do bring your dog. Transport is essential as we are very rural and taxis and buses aren't always available.
This is a recently converted coach house. It originally housed the village's milk float, hence the name The Quart. We are on the edge of the quiet village of Weston sub Edge, just two miles from Chipping Campden which is where you will find the nearest shops although there is a pub, The Seagrave Arms the other end of the village, a short walk away. The Quart is a cosy, open plan home with a spacious kitchen/living room, a double bedroom and an ensuite shower room. There is room in the sitting room for a travel cot but no door between the bedroom and the sitting room. We are very rural and consequently wifi and mobile signals can be patchy. There is underfloor heating throughout and it is furnished and decorated to a high standard. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with hanging space and shelves. The kitchen area is fully equipped with a double hob, oven with grill, kettle, toaster and fridge with ice compartment. The living area has a tv/dvd player and a comfortable sofabed with extra cushions and blankets. There are lots of books, dvds, walking guides and games for your entertainment as well as recommendations of places to eat and things to do.
The North Cotswolds is a very attractive area with lots to see and do locally. If you are keen on walking or cycling, there are a number of good and challenging routes around. The local towns are bursting with history and ripe for exploration. Chipping Campden marks the start (or finish) of The Cotswold Way and has a number of annual festivals including music and literature , and also hosts The Cotswold Olympicks. Broadway has a fantastic art scene and a brilliant deli. Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham are 20 minutes away. Nearby National Trust properties include Dover's Hill, Hidcote Gardens, Snowshill and The Fleece Pub. This is a very foodie area and recommendations for local pubs and resaurants are listed in the welcome pack.
  • Sarah and Sim were great hosts, so friendly and helpful. It was lovely to arrive and find all the treats that they had provided especially the shortbread! The Quart is clean, cosy and in a great location for a stay in the Cotswolds.

  • The Quart was a wonderful weekend getaway! So lovely to meet Sarah who was v. welcoming and helpful. Plenty of walks nearby and lots of thoughtful touches - including excellent homemade granola/shortbread! Absolutely would recommend x

  • The Quart is perfect! Sarah answered messages immediately and the cottage was super clean, comfortable and warm. The homemade shortbread was fantastic, as were the other touches (bacon, eggs, milk, homemade granola and orange juice). Absolutely brilliant, thank you!

  • The Quarts is the perfect stay for a weekend away in the Cotswolds. The cottage is spacious yet homely. The finishing touches (homemade shortbread, granola, orange juice, and bacon) were delightful. Sim and Sarah have such a welcoming manner and were more than willing to offer a pair of wellies to our friend who was mentally preparing herself to trek for hours in the mud! We will definitely be back - will be recommending to friends and family.

    Hannah2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place to stay at the quart. Sarah left us lots of little added extras which were amazing touches and lovely to be welcomed too! Including a treat for the dog. It was a great warm house with everything you need for a weekend away (and more). There is great walks close by which our dog enjoyed. It really is a home away from home and would 100% recommend staying here to anyone who’s looking to stay in the Cotswold. Thank you so much again :)

    Hannah2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's place is lovely. A great place for a get away in the countryside. The Quart is perfectly sized and perfectly furnished. If you are a walking type person - this is the place for you. Full of books and maps, the Quart has a handmade folder of many walks and great recommendations of places to eat. We had an enjoyable stay and will definitly consider staying again.

Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!

  • I would recommend this cottage to anyone. Absolutely fantastic stay.

  • Gorgeous cottage, short walk from lots of shops, cafe and pubs in a beautiful cotswolds village.

    Kate2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Halfway House was exactly what we were looking for on a Cotswolds holiday. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful village, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Three en-suite bedrooms with large beds, 2 very large and comfortable sofas in the lounge. Parking for 2 cars a real plus. We could not have been happier, Broadway was bustling during the day (October weekend) but sleepy and calm by night... perfect! The team at Character Cottages couldn’t have been more responsive. Halfway House is a real gem, we will absolutely be back.

    Gary2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is in a perfect location in Broadway, very convenient access to all of the local shops and restaurants and even the awesome park! The entire place is very clean and comfortable. Great place to stay!

  • Great location in Broadway in Cotswolds. Short walk into centre of village. Lovely well maintained and stylish cottage.

    Gareth2018-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in super quiet location (dead-end street; no through traffic; no on-street parking), on amazingly beautiful street. Very spacious! High quality amenities (washing machine, drier, drying rack; dish washer; great double oven;great stove). Two great sofas in lounge!!! Two parking spaces provided at the back of the cottage. A tiny front garden with seating for 2 (cramped)- no outdoor space. Not an issue for us as out all day, and so many places/opportunities around to be/sit outside. Super comfortable, high quality beds/mattresses/bedding. Each bedroom has its own bathroom (1 bath, 2 showers). If all guests want to have a bath, ask the rental agency to unlock that bathroom door on the landing, so all guests can have access without having to go through the bedroom that is linked to that bathroom!!! The door was locked when we were staying- not practical... but an isdue easy to solve! The location is great for exploring the northern/central Cotswolds. Easy 45-minute drive to Birmingham Airport. Super highly recommended!!!!!

  • If you love animals and want a cosy retreat away from the hustle and bustle but still close to amenities and attractions then this is the place for you! Everything, literally everything is pig themed it's amazing! So many cute and quirky touches. Meeting the animals was so much fun, be sure to take some Bee approved fruit for the pigs, ducks and chickens! Tiddles the cat was so sweet and loved cuddles. We hope to come back again for another weekend away, maybe longer if we can!

    Anne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A little off the beaten track , but perfect for us as we where visiting friends. Lovely touches and the pigs where adorable.

    Susan2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The thought and attention to detail that Bee has added to this delightful cottage is outstanding . We found ourselves smiling even when we opened a cutlery drawer to be surprised by yet another quirky pig themed item . Fine quality home comforts add to the coziness . The meet and greet from the variety of animals was wonderful . Cuddling up by the fire with the pet cat curled up on our laps was so relaxing . This was a great getaway made extra special by the touches Bee has thoughtfully attended to - Prosecco and a cup- cake on arrival , jelly sweets , local books , fun games , bountiful supply of toiletries , wood etc for the fire .

    Su2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely brilliant. Booked this delightful cottage as a break for my sister and brother in law. Bee was amazingly helpful!!

    Tina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

We are located in the countryside but within easy reach of Cheltenham, Stratford-on-Avon, the Cotswolds, the Malverns and Worcester. We are a working farm at the foot of Bredon Hill, just over one mile from the local village which has a great pub. There are many great walks and cycle routes around and we also have a large pond which is great for fishing in or relaxing by. The Woodshed is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with children).
The Woodshed is a beautiful, detached, timber clad dwelling on an organic farm in the heart of Worcestershire. It is situated next to the farm house, off a quiet country lane, surrounded by fields and with fantastic views of Bredon Hill and the Malverns. A perfect place to relax and use as a base to explore the surrounding area. Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine or stars in good weather or curl up in front of the woodburning stove when the weather turns chilly.
Elmley Castle is a picturesque village with a lovely pub serving great food, a cricket green, a playground, and plenty of footpaths that give access to Bredon Hill and the surrounding villages. The Woodshed is situated just over a mile outside the village along a quiet lane. The nearest town is Pershore which is a ten minute drive away and has various shops and supermarkets as well as good restaurants, pubs and takeaways.
  • We had a lovely stay at the wood shed, everything we expected and more! The property is of exceptional quality and the little touches were lovely. Great hosts and we will certainly be booking another trip next year!

in the Vale of Evesham, our beautiful home; built 1904 with many original features, is a perfect for touring Cotswold villages, climbing the Malvern hills, visiting Stratford upon Avon or local National Trust houses/gardens. Regular trains between London & Evesham BUT car is essential for touring the area.
Overlooking quiet gardens, our peaceful guest bedroom has the use of a small recently refurbished bathroom nearby, no bath, but with a generous sized shower and downstairs there is a further shower room. Occasionally the shower rooms will need to be shared when the single room is occupied. Please note the double bed is standard size, 4'6" wide by 6'6" long. Unless I have friends over for supper guests are welcome to use the kitchen to cook a meal, though most people seem to go out to eat.
Apart from our lovely neighbours, we have the River Avon and a great prize winning park beside it. For night life we have the amazing restored Art Deco private cinema, The Regal, with the latest films, live acts and music.
  • I can't recommend a stay with Caroline highly enough, the room is lovely and the location is perfect with easy on road parking right outside but most importantly Caroline (and of course Millie) was the perfect host. I felt more like I had been invited into a friend's house rather than a stranger's and I could happily have sat chatting to her all evening. I hope to be back soon!

  • Very clean and warm, very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at Caroline’s on the way up to Birmingham NEC to see a show. She was very helpful also with directions places to eat etc. Made us feel right at home.

  • I travelled with my wife and we really enjoyed the time at Caroline's. She is a great person and her lovely Millie welcomed us and made us feel like home. We definitely recommend the stay at Caroline's place. Thank you so much.

  • Very cosy, warm, thoughtfully appointed and comfortable studio in an incredible location. Improbably quiet and rural, given the proximity to the middle of the delightful village of Broadway. Good parking, great communication and delicious eggs from the family hens. All round excellent.

  • Great studio in a fantastic location. The studio itself is very spacious for 2 people, we loved how it was decorated - Jessica had even put up a Christmas tree in the lounge which was a nice touch. Jessica was a great host and gave us some excellent recommendations for things to do and places to see. We will definitely be staying here again.

    Jenna2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica is a fantastic host. Her place is even nicer than the pictures. It has a lovely cosy ambience and is sparkling clean. The location is excellent - a short walk from the high street. It’s easy to find and has parking. There are lots of thoughtful touches including a basket with goods such as eggs and bread as well as the cute fire and Christmas tree! It felt like a home away from home. Jessica provided us with lots of useful information about local places to eat and visit and she is very easy to get in contact with before and during the stay via email or telephone. We can’t wait to visit again!

A beautifully thatched and beamed Cotswold cottage that’s immaculately and tastefully furnished and feels homely, loved and cherished. Sleeping 4 in a comfortable king size double and twin bedroom, it’s perfect for a family, two couples or one couple who like a little extra room. Centrally located in the historic village of Bretforton (and a stone's throw from the historic Fleece Inn), it’s an ideal base to explore surrounding Cotswold villages – many of which are within a 10-minute drive.
Located in the heart of Bretforton, just across from the village green, next door to Bretforton Village School’s playing field, within sight of St. Leonard’s Church and a stone’s throw from the National Trust-owned Fleece Inn, Old Fox Cottage will capture your heart even before you go in. The Tiffany-blue front door, with its foxy door knocker, peeping out from under the immaculate thatched roof, sets the tone for your stay here. It is a delightful property. The owners, Adam and Lois, have worked tirelessly to produce a look and feel that is tasteful and luxurious throughout the cottage. With its peaceful blues, calm creams and woodland themes, you’ll feel particularly warm, cosy and cosseted here. The attention to detail is fantastic, with every mod con anticipated and provided. Shut the front door and all the worries of the world melt away. What makes this cottage additionally attractive is the village of Bretforton itself, which is a friendly, welcoming place best demonstrated by its community shop, stocked with essential items and tasty goodies. Similarly, the Fleece Inn is a warm and friendly place with an impressive calendar of events and activities to enjoy while sampling their hearty menu and fine wines and beers. Even if you never venture further than Bretforton, you’ll have a great stay. However, being just 6 miles from Broadway and Chipping Camden, 12 miles from Stratford-on-Avon, 18 miles from Cheltenham, 30 miles from Birmingham and 40 miles from Oxford, the best of the Cotswolds is on your doorstep. One of England’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the Cotswolds is renowned for its lovely, honey-gold stone cottages amidst quiet, well-preserved villages set in rural countryside. Walking, sight-seeing and cycling are the most popular activities with visitors to Old Fox Cottage. Open from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday; 8am – 5pm Saturday; and 9am – 1pm Sunday. You can find the Community Shop in the same grounds as Bretforton Social Club, which can be accessed by car from New Street or on foot via Main Street. For a more substantial shop, there’s Warner’s Budgens, 6 miles away in Broadway (open 8am – 9pm Monday – Sunday). The Chadbury Farm Shop in Evesham is also an excellent source of fresh local produce. Alternatively, for a big weekly shop or if you need a pharmacy, there is a Morrisons and Tesco Superstore in Evesham. If you’d like a break from cooking, the Fleece Inn serves traditional English favourites, including locally grown asparagus during the season (April is high season), local faggots, home-made pies and fish and chips. (They even do take away fish and chips, cider and beers.) They serve food made from with at least 30% of the ingredients sourced from within 30 miles of Evesham. Best of all, it’s in walking distance of the Cottage. When you’re ready to go adventuring, Broadway, Broadway Tower and Chipping Camden are great for walkers, cyclist or for a short car trip. Some of the Cotswolds’ most popular villages, towns and attractions are within a 30-minute drive, including Bourton-on-the-Water, Snowshill, Batsford, Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold. See the ‘Guidebook’ below for details of things to do and places to see. FULL DESCRIPTION GROUND FLOOR Entrance Hall Enter through the partially glazed front door straight into the light-filled Entrance Hall, which combines as a snug vestibule (great for sinking into the comfy armchairs while pulling off boots and coats) and practical room with cupboard for coats and wellies and a helpful umbrella stand. With its wooden floor, cream tongue-and-groove panelling and original beams, the Entrance Hall offers a warm welcome. Left into… The Living Room The Tiffany blue and cream theme continues into this lovely room, tastefully furnished with two sumptuous armchairs and a large double sofa. The most striking feature in here is the inglenook fireplace with original beam work. Within the fireplace is a wood-effect electric burner. The Living Room is all ready for a cosy night in, where you can enjoy the large, flat-screen digital TV with Blu Ray DVD player and a wealth of films. Alternatively, there’s a Wii console with games if you’re feeling more energetic. An Emma Bridgwater DAB radio with iPod docking station on the dresser is set up for playing your own playlist or a podcast. Back and left to... The Kitchen The beautiful and immaculate country-cottage kitchen has been carefully designed so that every appliance you’ll need for your stay is there, but cleverly hidden away to provide everything you need in a small space; the only obvious appliance is the gas hob with built in oven and extractor hood above. However, an integral slimline Hotpoint dishwasher and integral fridge can be found beside the cooker, whilst behind an ingenious bifold cupboard you’ll find the bread bin, Kenwood microwave and Dualit toaster and kettle. The wall units house everything you’ll need to cater for your group. There’s also an iron under the large ceramic sink and a high chair, picnic basket and vacuum in the under-stair cupboard. Left through to… Utility/Laundry Room A compact space where you’ll find the Hotpoint combined washing machine/dryer, a small library of books, re-chargeable tea light candles and storage cupboards housing cleaning materials and the boiler. Left through to… Family Bathroom As with the rest of the cottage, this room is impeccably and tastefully appointed with limestone floor and travertine wall tiles. Relax and soak away stresses in the large roll top bath that sits under the small private window overlooking the side path. Or enjoy a rainfall shower in the separate elevated double-shower enclosure. The bathroom is thoughtfully stocked with all the shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath you could need – so don’t weigh your luggage down with those heavy items. Return out to… Dining Conservatory Streaming with bright light (even on an overcast day), the heated Dining Conservatory is a great living space: by day it’s an extra living and eating space where you’ll sit to enjoy your breakfasts and lunches and access the patio garden and BBQ outside. By night, it can be transformed into an intimate dinning space with shimmering lighting. Return to…   UPSTAIRS Up the stairs from kitchen turning right into... Master double bedroom The oldest part of the cottage, the master double-bedroom has a cosy yet luxurious feel, tucked under the beams and eaves. From the iron-frame double bedstead you can enjoy private views through the traditional cottage windows. The cushioned window seat is a wonderful place to sit and while away some relaxation time. The bedroom has a lovely full-length cheval mirror, a deep clothes closet, a hairdryer and a digital flat-screen TV for bedtime viewing. Up the stairs from kitchen turning left into... Twin Bedroom A delightful room with two large, single beds, fluffy bed linen with bed throws, original beams and window overlooking a flat roof to the patio beyond. Ideal for children, this room would also suit two adults because of its L-shaped layout, providing individual privacy in a shared space. OUTSIDE The area to the rear of the cottage has been laid to patio and is reached either through the side gate and path or through the back door from the Dining Conservatory. In this clever us of space you’ll find a lovely, ivy-walled sun trap. The main patio area is up two stone steps where there’s a large ‘Outback’ gas BBQ, a rattan-style patio table with four matching chairs to one side and two rattan-style sofas with all-weather coffee table on the other. For a property in the heart of a village, this outside space is marvellously private being surrounded by high walls. (Note: one small window overlooks the area to one side but seems rarely unused.)

(They even do take away fish and chips, cider and beers!) When you’re ready to go adventuring, Broadway, Broadway Tower and Chipping Camden are great for seasoned walkers or a short car trip out. Whilst further afield, Bourton-on-the-Water is a firm favourite for children with its famous Model Village, Birdland and ice cream parlours. Should you have the misfortune of feeling unwell whilst you’re with us, there’s a doctor’s surgery in Evesham and hospitals nearby in Worcester and Cheltenham. The nearest dentist is Evesham Dental Health Team.

  • Me and 3 of my friends came for a relaxing weekend, away from our busy lives near London. This was exactly what we wanted! The cottage is absolutely stunning, so clean and cosy! We arrived quite late at night with temperatures nearly at 0. As we walked in the lamps were on as well as the heating. Everything from tea, coffee, milk and bread was stocked up as well as fluffy dressing gown and clean towels. I would 100% recommend this place and will hopefully re visit next year.

The main house and the grounds are great and look forward to hopefully seeing them in bloom. Would definitely highly recommend for any number of nights...and great communication with Lucy..!

  • If you genuinely want a superhost, Lucy is it. Everything about the stay was perfect. Quick, friendly communication, brilliant advice, and then the coach house itself. Set in the grounds of a beautiful manor house. Low timber throughout. Warm, clean, light, and airy. A true Cotswold stay. Every now and again you find AirBnBs that are difficult to leave. This is one of them. Thanks, Lucy!

The Old Piggery is a romantic and cosy barn conversion, located within the semi-rural village of Broom. Just 15 mins drive to Stratford-Upon-Avon, the RSC and Shakespeare's Birthplace and approximately 20 mins to the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds.
The Old Piggery is a wonderful barn conversion set within the grounds of our home. It was converted in 2014 to an extremely high standard and totally refurbished throughout. It is believed to date back to the sixteenth century. The original oak beams are exposed throughout the barn, with vaulted ceilings. Modernised sympathetically and converted into a stylish and comfortable holiday home. It features underfloor heating throughout and a log burner, perfect for snuggling up! French doors lead to a stone paved area and a shared pretty cottage style garden, where there is a bistro table and chairs to enjoy alfresco dining. Please note the paved area is old flagstones so they are a little uneven! It is self-contained and located opposite the main barn with a gravel courtyard area in between. The barn sleeps two. It has a cosy double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. The wrought iron king size bed has a comfortable hand built mattress and luxurious bed linen to ensure you get a great night’s sleep. The open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room also has a vaulted ceiling with original exposed beams, an oak floor and a log burner for those chillier days. The kitchen features a solid oak worktop, ceramic sink, integral dishwasher and washer/dryer, fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven and gas hob. The contemporary bathroom has a slate floor and P-shaped bath with a deluge shower above. Quirky touches include patchwork tiles above the sink and hand carved pegs out of reclaimed oak. Luxury towels are also included. The combi boiler provides instant hot water and there is underfloor heating throughout. We also have a woodburner, as you just can't beat a real fire. Inside there is a 32" flat screen TV, DVD player, DVD’s, Freeview, BT Wifi, Bose iPod docking station and books. We should mention, there is no smoking in the barn.
The Old Piggery is situated in a semi-rural village away from main roads yet within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon; Evesham; Warwick and close to the Cotswolds; Cheltenham; Birmingham and the National Exhibition Centre, all less than forty minutes away. We are surrounded by lovely walks, yet just 7 miles from the centre of Stratford upon Avon with the Royal Shakespeare Birthplace, the RSC Theatre and numerous good restaurants, Pubs, Shops, Markets.....over the bridge on the River Avon for boat hire, mini golf, tennis, etc. We are also very fortunate to have two excellent pubs within the village, just a few minutes’ walk away. Broom Hall is a quality steak house and traditional country pub and the other, Broom Tavern, is a gastro pub, both serve great food. Take a riverside walk in nearby Bidford on Avon, just 1.5 miles away, or set off directly from the barn. If you like walking or cycling the Greenway is well worth a visit. It is a seven mile stretch of flat pathway (with no cars) stretching all the way from, Stratford Upon Avon to Long Marston. As the Greenway was originally created from a disused railway line, you will find two café’s along the way, interestingly housed within old train carriages. Our local supermarket, Budgens, can be found in Bidford on Avon. Just a short drive away (2.5 miles) in the village of Dunnington you will find a fantastic farm Shop, which stocks excellent local produce including; meat from The Ragley Estate, a Fishmongers, fruit and veg and a deli and cheese counter. They also have a very popular café serving home cooked food, a garden centre and a gift shop. Well worth a visit!
  • We had a wonderful three night stay in the Old Piggery. Vanessa was the perfect host, very friendly but also very respectful of our privacy. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival and lots of very thoughtful touches. The accommodation is beautifully decorated and very cosy,we especially loved having the log burner. The location is great for exploring the local area, a short drive to several National Trust properties and only a 20 minute drive to Stratford. Would definitely love to stay again.

  • This is a lovely airbnb, a stones throw from Stratford upon Avon. Vanessa made us very welcome and left some nice provisions for breakfast as well as fresh coffee and tea. She really has thought of everything and her place was very well equipped if you want to stay in and cook, or go out to one of two nearby pubs. The space is a beautiful barn conversion in a big courtyard, very stylish, comfortable and cosy but with plenty of light and space - we came for the weekend but would have happily stayed a week. We will be back!

    Liz2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The old piggery is such a delightful retreat with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Having just stayed for the 2nd time I can’t recommend it enough.

    Helen2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place! Super stylish and even more gorgeous than the pictures. We both said we would move in tomorrow if we could! Great location, the Broom Tavern is fantastic and great for a celebratory meal. We were recommended Hillers farm shop by our lovely host and we were not disappointed. Close to Warwick and Stratford which are great for a day out. Really hope to return one day! Thanks for a lovely stay xxx

    Lydia2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful cottage! My partner and I had the most enjoyable time and loved every single part of staying at The Old Piggery. The host was brilliantly attentive and so helpful with all of our queries. Every penny was well spent. We will definitely be coming back in the future and will be recommending it to our family and friends. 5 stars all round. Perfect!Perfect! Perfect!

    Hannah2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our second stay at this beautiful home. The piggery is a gorgeous getaway to relax for a cosy night away. We spent the day in Stratford and had a meal at the local pub (just a short walk away), then came back to the log fire and enjoyed the peaceful setting. The house is beautifully furnished with everything you should need for a getaway for 2. Thank you to Vanessa for accommodating us, and for the little extras you provided. We loved our stay and will definitely be back

    Geoff2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A very stylish and comfortable conversion of an ols piggery. Superbly equipped with fully functioning kitchen. Highly reccomended.

    John2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is outstanding! The house is beautiful, the little touches make it. Vanessa provided all the food essentials and we used them all. We visited for our mini moon and it was just perfect. The local area is lovely and we would highly recommend exploring Broadway which is about 20 mins away. The Broom Tavern is a must for a good dinner and is lovely walk around from the house. We will be back one day to see more. Thank you xx

A spacious, 4-bedroom barn conversion with spectacular countryside views, perfect for families looking for a peaceful escape to the country. Tucked away on family-owned farmland in the heart of the sleepy Cotswold village of Weston-sub-Edge, Field House Cottage is a roomy barn-conversion with bags of character, offering an idyllic rustic hideaway for families or groups looking for plenty of space and seclusion.
This comfortable family holiday property sets in peaceful seclusion, with superb views of fields and nearby wooded hills, yet is only 10 miles from Stratford. Just 3 miles from Broadway in peaceful seclusion, with superb views of fields and nearby wooded hills, this lovely, idyllic old Cotswold-stone barn has been transformed into a spacious, comfortable family home. Hidcote Manor Garden nearby. Golf 2 miles. Cheltenham races, 18 miles. Chipping Campden 1½ miles. Stratford 10 miles. Golf available nearby. Shops 1½ miles, pub 1 mile and restaurant within ½ mile. Superb, large, beamed living room with wood-burning stove and dining area with ceramic-tiled floor. Well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen with quarry-tiled floor. Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. First floor: Double bedroom leading to twin bedroom with sloping ceiling. Second double bedroom. Bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet. Wood-burning stove – logs included. Gas central heating included (by meter reading November-March). Electricity and bed linen included. Cot. High chair. TV. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Large secure garden and terrace with furniture. Parking. No smoking. Ground floor facilities. Couples and family bookings only.
Chipping Campden is quite simply one of the finest towns in the Cotswolds – well preserved and full of history but also full of life and bustle. Its elegant High Street is a delight, described by the historian, G.M. Trevelyan, as “the most beautiful village street now left in the island”: a broad gentle curve flanked on either side by an unbroken sweep of buildings covering a host of architectural styles with buildings dating back to the 14th century. In the centre of the High Street stands the iconic Market Hall, now in the care and ownership of the National Trust, and built in 1627 by Sir Baptist Hicks to provide shelter for traders selling perishable goods like cheese and butter or precious goods like silks. The paving stones have been worn away by hundreds of years of busy trade – and it’s all too easy to imagine the noise and bustle of traders long ago. Sir Baptist Hicks was a very wealthy silk merchant and vast and extravagant 17th century monuments to him and his family can be found in the town’s church. St James Church, the town’s most visible landmark, is one of the greates ‘wool’ churches in the Cotswolds, built with money from the flourishing medieval wool trade. It is famous for having one of the oldest altar tapestries and largest brasses in England. In 1613, the newly enriched Sir Baptist Hicks began work on a splendid new house in Chipping Campden with equally fashionable formal gardens. Unfortunately not long after its completion it was burnt to the ground by retreating Royalist soldiers during the Civil War and little remains - two pepperpot lodges framing the gateway beside the church, and two exceptional Jacobean banqueting houses, which can be rented through the Landmark Trust. The Court Barn Museum in the town tells the story of craft and design in the Cotswolds. C R Ashbee brought the Guild of Handicraft to the Old Silk Mill in the town in 1902. Unfortunately it did not prosper and in 1908 many artists had returned to London. However some stayed on, and the Hart family, descendants of George Hart, still have their workshops in the Old Silk Mill today. The town has a lively calendar of events, including the famous Cotswold Olimpicks, founded in the 17th century by Captain Robert Dover and still celebrated every year - a bizarre mix of sports, games and village festivities. Chipping Campden has no shortage of excellent places to eat, drink and stay in with some excellent Cotswold hotels, pubs and B&Bs, as well as plenty of holiday cottages to rent. Chipping Campden makes an excellent base for a holiday, with a number of notable gardens, including Hidcote and Kiftsgate, nearby and with wonderful walks in the area, including the 104 mile Cotswold Way, which starts in the town and follows the escarpment all the way to Bath.
  • Field house barn is a lovely place to stay for friends or a big family. House is decked out very much in a cottage design and everything supplied that you would need. Area is stunning and views from the barn are gorgeous! Would definitely recommend.

    Anna2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect base for three generations to gather. Enough space to not feel crowded whilst still feeling cosy.

    Jessica2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this wonderful barn conversion - the pictures on the app don’t do it justice. A great space for a gathering of friends or family.

    Mike2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing cottage, great for privacy but so close to the great outdoors, pubs, shops, restaurants etc & the lovely village of Chipping Campden. 8 of us stayed here for a reunion & we did not want to leave!

    Stacey2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

    Suzanne2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re staying in the area then definitely consider staying here. Only a short drive from the lovely Chipping Campden, and Leystone Barn, this is a perfect place to adventure out from. The cottage is beautiful and really well laid out and decorated. Can thoroughly recommend!!

Situated in the beautiful village of Broom, just 15 minutes from Stratford upon Avon, our home is a unique combination of 18th and 16th century barn conversions lovingly restored in the 1980's into one unique home. You’ll love our place because of the friendly hosts, character of the property, outdoor space, and home from home feeling. This spacious double size room is good for couples, solo & business travellers. Pets are welcome. For larger groups we have additional ensuite rooms available
This double room is perfect for couples, but is also ideal for the solo & business traveller. There is ample storage space for clothes etc and the en-suite shower room. Bottled water, tea and coffee are available in the room. Continental breakfast is available on weekdays, with traditional full cooked breakfast being served at weekends. We are happy to cater for special dietary requirements.
Our Neighbourhood is extremely quiet but friendly so, if you take a walk around the village, you will no doubt be welcomed! We are lucky enough to live next door to the Broom Hall Inn, a great family pub and restaurant famous across the region for top class steaks. Just 5 minutes walk through the village is another great eatery and village pub, the Broom Tavern, serving delicious food with weekly specials and themed menus.
  • I cannot recommend Sacha and Rich’s place highly enough. They made us feel so welcome and comfortable in their beautiful home. The delicious breakfast was a huge bonus, and nothing was too much trouble. All in all a superb stay, thank you both so much.

    Sue2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A warm welcome in a beautiful home with comfy beds, a great breakfast and most importantly, dog lovers!

    Lorraine2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sasha's house is lovely and the room was really nice and comfortable. Sacha herself was so helpful, helping me with my luggage and kindly making me a sandwich for my trip to the NEC. I was travelling with my dog to help on a Crufts stall, as anyone who has one knows, travelling with a dog can be awkward but on this there was no problem at all, they are very dog friendly.

    Margaret2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, location & hosts! Excellent value for money. Fantastic village pub next door. Free parking.

    Bernhard2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot rave about our time with Sacha and Richard enough! They are such friendly and welcoming people! Our room was large and well stocked. They allowed us to do laundry and fed us a lovely full English! We truly felt at home and appreciated their hospitality beyond measure!

    Melissa2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • From initial communication to a cheery goodbye at the end of our stay, this couple have all the ingredients (and personality) to make you feel welcome, warm, rested, fed, watered and appreciated whilst appearing to take all the associated work involved in their stride. We had a super three-day weekend and were treated like friends throughout...a true ‘home away from home’ that we can recommend unreservedly.

    Lynn2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Sacha and Richard thoroughly deserve the excellent reviews they have received on Airbnb. Their friendliness and flexibility know no bounds and nothing is too much trouble. They are perfect hosts and it is evident that they enjoy having guests staying in their home. It is no surprise that long staying guests - often corporate bookings - and repeat business are often to be found staying in this excellent value 'home from home'. An added bonus is that there are two good pubs in the village, both within walking distance of the Tudor Barn, and plenty more places for dinner just a short drive away. We would definitely recommend booking the Broom Tudor Barn to anyone needing somewhere to stay in the area. Keep up the good work!

    Susan2020-02-15T00:00:00Z

Welcome to my home. Bedroom and dressing/sitting room and bathroom. Lovely Cotswold views from your window's intro you to country life. Charming village a foodie pub's and shop with tea room. Walks, views, charm and history await your stay. Its a private working house in the country and I welcome people to simple space, hospitality and jolly good breakfast. All I ask is that you enjoy your time in The Cotswold's and embrace my home as a home
Simple space that is comfortable and relaxed in a private house that is a working house and not a hotel or indeed aB&B. Your space will be respected and I believe I offer value for money ( The Cotswold's is a busy and expensive location for accomodation with 2or3 night min occupancy only at key months ) in a lovey part of The UK. Therefore Airbnb and The Garden House offer great value and flexibility - plus a warm welcome for sure !
Willersey is a delightful Cotswold Village. Small but it has life and soul - pubs and one shop allows easy living. On the door step of all the Key Cotswold villages and attractions. Also Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham are both 25mins away if the countryside gets too much !
  • Jeremy made me and my dog very welcome, I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Some of my party were staying in the fish hotel (walking distance) but I was put off by the price of £390 for 2 nights in the cheapest room. It’s is a very beautiful area I’m sure I will be returning.

    Luke2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a night as we were attending a wedding nearby. Jeremy could not have been a more helpful host - he was so understanding about our check in time and was very quick to respond to our messages. He was very flexible and helpful. He also served a delicious breakfast in the private sitting room which is next to the bedroom. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jeremy’s place - thank you for making it a great stay!

    William2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

    Marina2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy was a very friendly and thoughtful host. He was available to answer questions when needed but was very respectful of our privacy. Our main reason for visiting the area was to enjoy the scenic walks. Jeremy provided very helpful guides, maps, and recommendations for these walks.

    Charles2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy is the ultimate host! He really couldn’t do enough for us, including ferrying us to our wedding party! Would highly recommend!

    Tania2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy is a larger than life personality. He makes every effort to accommodate his guests. He does provide a gracious breakfast and food in the evening. Something he really enjoys doing. This is something soarly missed in most Airbnbs. The location was deal.

"The Old Dairy" as the name implies is a former 16th century dairy , this grade 2 listed cottage sits in the grounds of Peacock House, the second oldest house in the village, and the home of the owners Helen and Nick. Having been skillfully and sympathetically converted into a fully equipped self contained detached holiday cottage. On the ground floor is the former dairy now the bedroom, a full bathroom, the first floor is the spacious living room with log burner, full kitchen and separate WC.
Situated in a conservation area on the edge of the Cotswolds, The Old Dairy offers a peaceful tranquil location with its own contained garden area complete with delightful summer house and BBQ. Yet a short drive away from Stratford on Avon and Cotswold favorites and all that they offer, together with easy access for a day out in London with Honeybourne Station only 4 miles away going into Paddington Station. We believe the Old Dairy is unique, you are able to step out of your bedroom into the garden for that 1st coffee in the morning or down the covered external stairs from the living room into the garden. Also where else can you find a bedroom complete with 500 year old cheese press and a butter churn. Off street parking is available. Guests comment on the peace and quiet of this tranquil setting, many have said they have never slept so well. The old dairy is a convenient base from which to explore the Costwolds and Stratford upon Avon. Ideal for those who love walking in the countryside, or just the ideal location to chill for a few days in peace and quiet away from the hubbub of modern life.
The village of Cleeve Prior is a delightful old village and is a conservation area, the residents taking great pride in the welfare of the village. It has a great community spirit, and no better a location to feel this, than the local pub The kings Head, 3-4 minutes walk from the house, serving great ales and good food in front of a log fire. There is also a small farm shop. A full range of shops restaurants and pubs can be found 2 miles away in Bidford upon Avon. Also the surrounding villages also offer a great selection of places to eat out.
  • A charming little countryside cottage, great for a romantic getaway.

  • Very good value for money... Bed was clean and comfy, the shower was nice with plenty of hot water and there was a little snacky breakfast which was a good touch.

  • We stayed in room 3 and whilst it was compact, for the two nights stay we were there it was perfect! Great value for money, the little touches really made it for us and Julie was super helpful. I don't think you can knock this on price and Julie clearly goes above and beyond to ensure all her guests have a good stay. The pub itself was also lovely with live music and great food with so many choices! Recommend the hand-carved ham, egg and chips! :) Thank you Julie and the team for a lovely stay.

  • The Weaver Cottage was a delight to stay in and facilitated a spectacular Cotswolds visit. Broadway was our favorite village to come home to and we couldn't have been more pleased. Sharon answered our email requests very quickly. Many thanks!

  • Broadway is a beautiful village and this is the perfect place to enjoy it! The upstairs bedrooms are spacious, with all the things you need to make your stay comfortable. Beds are comfortable, linen is high quality and the rooms are decorated tastefully. The living spaces are terrific - very comfortable lounge, well-stocked and well-designed kitchen; and the garden is delightful. Upon check in we were really pleased with how incredibly clean and tidy the house was - we would definitely book to stay here again.

  • Great place. Great location. Broadway is a great village. Broadway Tower and the hiking in the area are fabulous. The cottage is fabulous. The only issue I had was the WiFi never worked.

  • Excellent location for visiting the Stratford and Evesham area being about 6 miles to Stratford. The pub next door serves great food and a range of great beers. The room I was in is on the upper floor of an old cottage so the floors are not level and the boards do creak. Keep this in mind if that will be a problem after you have tried a few of the beers. It is a shared bathroom but I am not concerned by this, if you have an urgent need after imbibing of the beer you can go outside to the campsite loos. I stayed because I have a "project" boat nearby, this room was comfortable and convenient, I will stay again.

  • Julia’s cottage is clean and cozy. 15 minutes drive from Shakespeare’s hometown and the cottage is just beside a local small pub. Very convenient to get a drink.

  • Our stay at Julia exceeded our expectation with a lot. The room was amazing and clean, while her cozy pub being located right next to our home was a big bonus. We had a nice drink in the pub which ended up in a 5 hour conversation with her and her lovely guests. Totally recommend staying a night at Julia and experiencing the unique weekend vibe at her pub!
