  • If you're looking for a spacious getaway off the beaten path with nature as yourbackdrop, this place is for you. Kelly and Brian have a beautiful, cozy home that is stocked full of amenities. We took full advantage of the full kitchen, books, & games. The bed is comfortable and the place is clean. We would be delighted to stay there again next time we travel to the area!

  • I had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The place was very cozy and relaxing. Kelly left a binder full of local recommendations for breweries, lunch/dinner spots, and the house rules, which was very helpful! I was staying in the lower level for a work trip during the week and the other tenants upstairs were a little rowdy during quiet hours — I’m very thankful that Kelly quickly stepped in when I messaged her. For a family or friend trip, I would probably recommend renting the whole place 😊

    Michelle2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The description and pictures are accurate! I would definitely recommend staying there!

    Shuler2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at Kelly's place several times. I love it! I love the woodsy setting. It is immaculate! A very homey, comfortable place to spend a night or two.

    Ruth2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay. Great distance from Duluth. Comfortable and quiet.

    Christine2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place is outstanding! Very clean and we felt very much at home. She took good care of us by providing starters for breakfast and no shortage of basic supplies. The location is beautiful, isolated, and very cozy. Trips for groceries and supplies can be kind of tricky. Expect to pay a good amount for rides into Duluth and deliveries. Likely not an issue if you have your own car though. Unfortunately we did not. The fireplace was a little disappointing. It's electric and felt more like a big space heater, but we definitely never went cold. The bedroom and living room each had very nice Samsung smart TVs. Probably the nicest entertainment centers I've ever seen in an AirBNB. There were several locked doors, one in each room, that caused us a bit of unease at first, but we quickly got used to it and forgot they were there. Unusual amount of rules that aren't made totally clear until you get there. For example, you're only limited to 4 guests and they seemed unusually stern about it. Although I'm sure they just want to keep the place nice for their guests, which we appreciated. I've never been a host myself and probably just don't realize how destructive people can get. All and all a very good experience and we'd definitely stay with Kelly again without a second thought.

  • Great area and the place was cozy!

    Stefanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly responds promptly and the Airbnb was spacious and cozy. The location is great, close to Duluth and other quaint towns along the Northshore. Highly recommend!

Our 225 sq ft (11.5’x19.5’) “guesthouse” is in front of our home on Island Lake, straight north of Duluth. 18 miles from Downtown, 20 miles from Canal Park (20-30 min drive). ***OUR RENTAL accommodation is now REQUIRED TO BE A PART OF OUR MAIN HOUSE- please see our other ad in our profile &/or inquire for details. ** Just ask for dates over 3 months from now. *Tax collected by Airbnb.
Please see the “Tranquility on a Lake” ad in our profile (https://abnb.me/ml29UFrIn4) for the space details. Essentially, due to changes by local government, our Tiny Cottage is being replaced by the mama Cottage, which is our main house, right next to our guesthouse. *Ironing board & IRON available on request. *Charcoal BBQ Grill for outdoor use, as is the fire pit area (when condition allow for fires). Please ask about wood or let us know if you need BBQ TOOLS. It is LESS THAN A MINUTE OFF HIGHWAY 4/Rice Lake Rd, across from Boondocks Saloon & Grill (& off-sale liquor) - which also has a summer “drive-inn” with ICE CREAM & quick foods. Just over the bridge to the north is another restaurant Island Lake Inn. It would be about a 5 min WALK to Boondocks, about 10 MORE minutes walk to ILI. 6 min drive south is another General Store (Gnesen Convenience) with GAS, GROCERIES, made to order TAKE-OUT food (Nanay’s Kitchen), and LIQUOR. 11 min south (on the drive up) is a KwikTrip Gas/Convenience also. **** Please note: As we are directly on the water, the road is much higher in elevation, and there MANY STEPS down to the guesthouse. There is also a small/narrow gravel “DRIVEWAY” DOWN directly to it, which some guests have chosen to use (WHEN THERE IS NO SNOW). We do ask that you walk it first to assess your comfort level with driving your vehicle down.
Our larger neighborhood area is mostly year-round residents. But on our bay some are seasonal, and so likely will only be seen outside in the summer. There is a beautiful & clean free public sand beach and picnic area just across the lake, about 2-3 min away by car. We are less than a minute off the main road, and across from a restaurant/bar/off-sale liquor. There is another bar/restaurant about one minute up the road from there. It’s about a 5 min WALK to the nearest restaurant. 2 minutes north is the Boulder Lake Cross Country Ski Trail system east parking lot access, and same to state snowmobile trail system - both of which could be used for summer hiking or biking. **Boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, biking, Agate hunting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, & ice fishing can all be done right out the door, and State snowmobile trails and Cross-Country ski trails are right nearby as well (seasons-permitting of course). We don’t provide equipment other than our paddleboat or floating island oasis pad.
  • The house was much better than I thought it would be. The view was amazing, and it just felt like home the entire time we were there. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Ange was very helpful host. Very responsive and and super nice. When we got snowed in after Duluth got pummeled with 19 inches, her husband and son came up and shoveled us out. Great hosts!

    Kyndell2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a peaceful place looking over the lake and beautiful skies not too far from Duluth. Had a great time and Ange was quick to respond and supplied a clean beautiful home to stay in with my friend and I

    Johnny2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The TTC is a pleasurable, petit, pretty home-away-from-home. Ange has thought of all the hospitality touches, with just the right amount of luxury. This is where my husband and I go for beautiful views and to spend some needed quiet time. The kitchen has everything!

    Molly2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ange’s place was cozy, clean, and beautiful! It was the perfect stay for a tranquil retreat on the lake in the woods. Ange was so thoughtful in the details of the cottage, and the bed was comfortable and room so cozy! It was also only about a 20 minute drive to town which went by quickly! It was very easy to find. Will definitely look at staying here in the future. Thank you Ange!

    Angela2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to retreat to after spending time in Duluth and the surrounding areas. The space was clean, cozy, simple, just what my wife and I were looking for. Everything in the space was well labeled, which was helpful. Ange and Erich were quick to respond with any questions and very hospitable. We would definitely stay here again!

    Nick2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing. It was super clean. They gave us clear communication on their space. They responded immediately with any questions we had, and to make sure we had settled in easily enough. The view was outstanding. They gave us so many suggestions, and a bottle of local syrup. I hope we have the opportunity to come here again. Ange was such a wonderful host, and I’m so glad we were able to stay here.

    Cara2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This space is so cute and cozy. It’s perfect to come back to at the end of the day exploring or staying in and watching movies! Ange is a great host and makes you feel so welcome!

Tucked away on 2.5 acres in the middle of Duluth, this one-bedroom cottage has breath-taking panoramic views of Lake Superior, the Aerial Lift bridge and the St. Louis River. With the large property and surrounding trees, the home feels secluded but has wonderful access to hiking and biking trails, parks, beaches and all that downtown Duluth and Canal Park have to offer. License PL 17-099
This property includes two dwellings and guests are welcome to reserve both or just the main home. The main home is a single-level home with an open floor plan and everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay for up to four people. The bedroom has a full-size bed and the living room has a new, very comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom and a washer/dryer. The second dwelling is available as an add-on for groups larger than four or for groups who would simply like a bit more space or privacy. This second cabin is a cute little A-frame about 75 yards away from the main home. It has a double bed in the loft and a double futon down below. The loft is accessed via ladder and so it not suitable for small children or guests with limited mobility. The A-frame is fully wired with electricity and has a ceiling fan, coffee pot, fridge, etc but no running water, just a composting toilet and a 2.5 gallon water dispenser. Adding the A-frame to your booking is an extra $100 a night. Please inquire at the time of booking if you would like to reserve both spaces. Please note that if you choose to only book the main home, we will NOT allow another group to book the A-frame during your stay. Ben, the property owner, may be in the A-frame at times to work on projects when it isn’t occupied by guests. We will notify you in advance if we need to be on the property or in the A-frame.
The unique neighborhood provides complete privacy, tucked in a small wooded area above scenic Skyline Parkway. Enjoy the seclusion while being just a few blocks from downtown and Canal Park!
  • Well worth it! Gorgeous views and in a prime location. Will definitely recommend to anyone and can’t wait to go back!

  • What a lovely getaway overlooking Duluth. The house is charming and has everything you need and then some. We would love to bring our dog Hobbs with if they only allowed pets but regardless we will be back!

    Maddy2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The view alone is worth the trip! Highly recommended for a weekend up on the north shore.

  • A lovely little oasis at the top of the hill with great views and all you need for a cozy retreat. We hope to stay there again!

    Meg2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this space. It was the perfect spot for my solo get away, but I could see it work equally well as a launching pad for all your Duluth and North Shore adventures. The views of Lake Superior were stunning. I don't think I'd ever tire of seeing the sun come up over the lake. The roads were slushy coming in and Emily and Ben quickly sent an alternative route to make the traveling to their Airbnb easier. Highly recommended.

    Perrin2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Emily's place was perfect! We didn't want to leave! Such a cute space with everything we needed for a relaxing get away. The views are stunning. This was an amazing place to spend some time while exploring Duluth. Thanks for the coffee and thoughtful touches! Highly recommend.

Be a part of nature and stay at a house among the trees. A unique place to unwind or recharge, or a home base to explore the many activities of Lake Superior's north shore.
The ReTreet House was completed in the spring of 2019! It is a well insulated and heated two story house built among the many white cedar trees on 30 acres of woods. The first level is a very comfortable bedroom with a queen size bed and large window overlooking the surrounding woods. The second level features a tree top view of the white cedar forest with a peek of Lake Superior. There is a full size sleeper sofa, kitchenette area with microwave, fridge, toaster oven, coffee pot, tea pot and a counter height table and chairs. A t.v. with Roku is mounted in the corner and wi-fi high speed internet is provided. There is no indoor plumbing, but a cold and hot water dispenser is available. Also, just steps away from the dwelling is a cute, clean, heated outhouse for your comfort.
The thirty acres we live in is heavily wooded, quiet and very private. Neighbors are not visible from the ReTreet House dwelling.
  • The treehouse is picturesque and has everything a person could ask for for a nice getaway. It is beautiful and clean as well as cozy. It was the perfect balance of camping and homey.

    Carter2020-03-20T00:00:00Z

  • A quaint and clean space in a beautiful little wooded area. Not too far from downtown or grocery stores so it is very convenient. There is occasional noise from the upstairs but it’s not enough to make a fuss about. Would stay here again.

    Mathieu2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very clean, easy to access, and conveniently located to all Duluth's hot spots! We liked that it was surrounded by nature instead of backed up to other houses (even if we visited in the winter and didn't make use of the backyard). Very cozy and comfortable! Danny and Angie were incredibly responsive to questions. Highly recommend!

    Heather2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with great location. The backyard is beautiful. The kitchen is great with all the pots/pans etc for cooking. I’ll definitely stay again!

    Kathryn2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay and we would/will probably look to book again. Unit is very clean, communication was great with quick response to any questions. The location is convenient, very close to UMD and CSS as well as downtown Duluth. Check in was convenient with no problems and value was high at about ½ the cost of a hotel room. No problem giving out a 5 star here!

    Jay2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with nice amenities, just as advertised. We enjoyed our stay and even got to see a small of group of deer out back by the creek. Would stay again.

  • Terrific hosts. Angie is on top of her game and her communication is wonderful. The neighbor's snowblowing skills keep access open, even in early morning. This place is spotless and the amenities are top drawer, including wireless internet.

With a commercial kitchen, threshing table that seats 12, and a 1,200 sqft great room with masonry fireplace, Contented Acres is the perfect location for anything from a multiple family ski trip, family gathering, or a couple looking to get away for the weekend.
Contented Acres is perfect for your next large family gathering. The large industrial kitchen and dining areas allow you to host and serve guests easily. The private yard and fire pit are great for outdoor fun. Kids will enjoy exploring the woods on the many trails, playing in the lofted log cabin play house and well loved tree house, and hanging out in the upstairs playroom.
Esko is centrally located to the Spirit Mountain Ski Hill, Jay Cooke State Park, and of course the great city of Duluth. Our location allows you the privacy of a small town with easy accessibility to the greater Duluth area. We welcome you to enjoy our beloved family home and hope your stay with us is memorable.
  • This house is so beautiful. It is spacious and sunny. We had everything we needed. Plenty of cozy seating in the living room and dining room. Great parking and good communication from host. Quick drive into Duluth and Carlton. Looking forward to staying again!

    Leah2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely fantastic time. The house is unique and has many different spaces for our kids and adults to spread out and be comfortable. Will definitely try to be back again. Thanks so much!

    Robert2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A great space for our large group! The long dining room table alone made our stay worth it. I do agree with a past reviewer that a thorough deep-clean would be helpful. But we’d still definitely stay here again!

    Rachel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were two families who needed a place to stay for a weekend of kids ski racing at Spirit Mountain. Contented Acres fit the bill and much more. Our kids (ages 5-11) absolutely loved it, not least of all the bunk room. The house is obviously a labor of love, and is full of hospitality and quirky details. Because we spent long hours on the hill, we didn't have a lot of time to just relax in the house or enjoy the grounds, but would certainly have enjoyed that. We did enjoy the spacious and well-stocked kitchen.

    Megan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This home is absolutely delightful!! Easy to find, yet tucked into a peaceful lot. Plenty of amenities to make the stay very comfortable. The layout was perfect for a large group to have the space to gather together and yet spaced out enough for quiet time, too. Beautiful!!! I will want another visit.

  • I came to stay at this location with my husband and a couple friends for a weekend in Duluth, and it was incredible! The space was both unique and inviting, and it was sparkling clean. The small touches like extra comfy sheets and chairs, a fully-stocked coffee caddy, and beautiful artwork made this experience even better than we could have imagined. We were also really close to all of the local attractions (both well-known and hole-in-the-wall places), which was super convenient! The host was also incredibly hospitable and was always quick to respond when I reached out to her.

    Courtney2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for having us over the weekend. Everything is super clean and thoughtful. Would love to come back in the future. (special thanks for the breakfast bars / oat meals and coffee machine, edible water comes out right at the sink, really feel like being hosted well!)

  • This place is excellent. It is cozy and inviting. The bed was comfortable and there is a view of the lake. What more could you need. The hosts were very responsive. A+

  • We enjoyed our stay at Amity and Doran's. The view is fantastic and there is nothing like watching the sunrise over the lake! It was very quiet, peaceful, close to restaurants, shopping and the freeway. Nicely decorated and homey place for a weekend visit and we would definitely stay again. If you have a sensitivity to smells, notify them in advance as the bedding does have a slight scent to them that is relaxing for most but not all. Overall, a great stay.

  • Very cozy little cottage!

    Yelena2020-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Driftwood Cottage is an absolutely marvelous place to stay! I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a sweet little spot right by the lake, and just a short walk from Canal Park. The cottage itself was beautiful and extremely cozy while still being surprisingly spacious and just about the perfect size! The kitchen was perfect, and everything about the entire space was spotlessly clean. Rianne was an exceptional host, and responded very quickly to any messages I sent her with kindness and superb hospitality. The location of the cottage couldn't be better! It's right across the street from an entrance to Park Point's sandy beaches, and less than a mile's walk to all the cute little spots in Canal Park. All in all, Driftwood Cottage is easily a 10/10 spot, and I think anyone would have a lovely time there whether it's for one night or multiple!

Kurt and Sarah were incredibly responsive and hospitable, and were very forgiving when we were a little late on check out. The property was very clean, well equipped, and incredibly comfortable. They even left us some treats to enjoy, which was much appreciated. Would absolutely stay here again in the future and recommend it to others! Thanks for the great experience!

  • Clean and cozy lower level studio apartment that is accessed through a shared entry. The space has an insanely comfortable bed plus lots of thoughtful touches. We didn’t actually do any cooking but it would have been easy in this large, functional kitchenette. The bathroom was clean and inviting. The hosts were responsive and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

  • I came to Penrose House to get away for a bit of a writing retreat, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it was an absolutely perfect place for it. The space was clean, neat, and full of thoughtful little touches that made the stay not only pain-free but delightful. I couldn't recommend Penrose House more. Dawn was kind, responsive, and generous throughout the booking process and continued to be a pleasant person to interact with all the way through my stay. Thank you, Dawn and John for a great weekend! I hope to return soon!

  • This place was absolutely delightful! It had the cozy feel of an individual Airbnb room yet cleanliness that even exceeds what I typically experience at a chain hotel. It is in a prime location to access attractions in both Wisconsin and Minnesota with plenty of local restaurants, attractions, and shopping (local and chain) all very close by. The location feels safe and the nearby downtown area is great for walking in the warmer months. The price (when I visited) was also very competitive and I feel I got more than my money's worth, as it exceeded my expectations.

    Carly2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place 110% worth the price. The views 180 degree views of Lake Superior easily made this of the most incredible Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in. My fiancé and I were in town for a wedding and immediately booked his place when we saw the listing. It’s a little pricier per night than hotels but totally worth it. The pictures do not do this view justice. Watching the sunrise on that deck was such an incredible experience. On top of the views, it’s close to the main part of town and is so peaceful and quiet. Tee is an incredible host and was very responsive and even called us to make sure we were settled in ok. If your staying in Duluth, you should definitely book this place to take in that incredible view!

Enjoy this freshly restored historic building in your private 2 bedroom apartment. The bright open layout with 11 foot ceilings, large kitchen, kitchen island with white quartz countertops, the newly finished wood floors, and the incredibly comfortable cooling gel & memory foam beds will all welcome you to your home away. In-building laundry available, WIFI, 4K TV with cable and Netflix/Amazon, Wine Cooler, Elevator access and off street parking. Licence # TBES-BEJSS8
We use environmentally friendly cleaning products and supply natural soaps. The full kitchen, with all the cooking items you may need, allows you to cook a big breakfast or make dinner for your loved ones. There is a wine cooler. The beds are incredibly large & comfortable. The building is mostly residential so it is usually nice & quite & ask our guests to please be respectful and keep noise to a minimum.
There are a ton of things to do in the twin Ports area both outside and indoors. The changing seasons brings new opportunities to explore the landscapes in different ways. Snowshoes, paddle boards, kayaks, hiking, bikes, the options are endless. For business travelers, "Goin Postal" is right down the street for printing, faxing, and shipping needs. Super One is a grocery store that is about a half mile away as well as an Aldi near by or a whole foods coop just across the bridge into Duluth. My brother runs a charter fishing boat out of Duluth. He's pretty well booked in the summer but may be able to sneak someone in last minute. Fish North MN is his company. See the back side of the harbor as you drive over the Blatnik Bridge between Duluth and Superior. Explore the breweries and restaurants of the new Craft District, Canal Park, Downtown Duluth, or just stay on the newly renovated Tower Avenue in Superior. Don't forget about the beaches of Park Point or Superior Point. Take a short drive up the shore, book a kayak tour on the Big Lake, rent some bikes, or charter a fishing boat! Ask us for suggestions if you think you might be missing something. Right down the street you can easily check out the Anchor Bar for a great burger in old sailor bar atmosphere, Earth Rider taproom for their latest beer selections, Thirsty Pagan, Red Mug coffee, or VIP pizza across the street.

If you're looking for an enchanting getaway, getting lost in the twinkling lights of Duluth, or desire to look over the majestic lake Superior, this loft is for you. Walking distance from Chester park and a few local hiking spots. Close to other Duluth "must see's" such as Hawks ridge, downtown (5-7 min drive) , the port, and even Point Park. This centrally located BnB is perfect for any Duluth adventure you could want. Book today! (And is pet friendly-see below details)
What makes our space unique: This is a quaint 1920's home. The space has been updated but keeps its old home charm. There are unique points of furniture such as our lake superior driftwood coffee table, propagated (grown from a piece of an adult plant) succulents, and a variety of antiques. The biggest drawback of our space is the slanted ceilings. The middle tallest part of the ceiling is 6' 1". I do not want to discourage any of our taller humans from experiencing this cozy space, but would not feel right about not giving any notice! I wish I could make the ceilings higher-however- it has been described as "cozy, quaint, and comfortable". What you have in your Airbnb Loft: -water boiler -toaster oven -electric cooking pan -mini-fridge -6 gallons fresh water (Duluth water is the tastiest water ever!! no lie.) -plates/cups/utensils -bowl with dish soap and sponge (if desired to wash dishes in bnb) -double/full size bed -space heater -ironing board (in closet in living space) -iron (in closet in living space) -bath towels and washcloths -extra blankets (in the black cabinet-not pictured) -TV with built in DVD player (in closet in bedroom) -access to wifi -access to welcome book. You will have a key-locked door at the bottom of the stairs (for peace of mind if you desire to lock up your belongings while you are away) and your bedroom will have a separate lock to it (from the inside). Parking is readily available (usually), free, and on the street. (Will just need to park on same side of street as the other cars- since here in Duluth we have wonky parking rules for snow removal) What is shared: - "the worlds tiniest bathroom" - main kitchen (if you prefer to your private kitchenette) - main living space - dining room -main entrance This is a pet friendly Airbnb. If you are looking to bring your beloved furry friend please see below for pet guest house rules. Side note: We have two lovely pets that are not allowed into the Airbnb space. If you have allergies, the space is cleaned very well between guests and should not be an issue (if you are concerned about the space being hypoallergenic please contact the host to let us know what can make the space a better accommodation for you).
Beautiful residential neighborhood. Hilltop with view of lake superior. Chester park is a 10 minute walk and there are other local trails 5 minute walk from the house. Less than a mile from the College of Saint Scholastica main campus. 10 minute drive from downtown Duluth.
  • Very nice place to stay. They are very friendly and their place is just perfect. We brought dinner and they had everything we needed to sit and have a late night dinner. It was perfect. Just watch your head and you be be just fine.

    Racheal2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was short, as I basically just slept overnight and left in the morning shortly after waking, just one night. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and it was evident they wanted me to feel at home, which I appreciated very much. The listing's description is quite accurate, no surprises from my perspective. The private room is the entire upstairs area, which really feels like two separate rooms - one with the bed and one with the kitchenette. The stairs are certainly steep, which means each step is short so only the front portion of your foot touches the step, unless you navigate the steps with your feet sideways. And the ceiling is certainly low as described. I'm 5'11" and I mostly moved around crouched, kind of felt like I was in a fort. These things are mentioned in the listing, just providing my experience. I would definitely visit again. :)

A small fridge is in the room for your use; you are also welcome to relax in the living room and utilize the kitchen for microwave, ice, water, etc. Spacious deck with grill and firepit guests are welcome to enjoy. We are happy to coordinate our schedules to allow you any level of privacy you prefer. Wi-Fi, Netflix & Hulu are available for guests. We do have two long haired cats.
Our home was built in the early 1900's for working class Duluthians -- one hundred years ago, the working class lived in small homes with small rooms -- we rent out the guest room in our humble home as an affordable lodging alternative to the tradition hotels in Duluth. We don't intend to be a vacation home, or high end getaway at all, just a small room for folks who want to enjoy Duluth without the cost of hotel stays. The guest room is on the main floor of our home right next to the bathroom--which is private for you while you are here. We've stocked the guest room with extra blankets, a mini-fridge and alarm clock radio so those items are at your fingertips if desired. You are welcome to use access the kitchen for microwave, water/ice, etc and use the living room, deck and fire pit during your stay! I'm happy to coordinate our activities if you prefer privacy when using any of those spaces.

  • Heather and Randy's AirBnB worked out perfectly for my needs as I was traveling through Duluth on a work trip. It is near the airport and the business area of Duluth, so the location was perfect. She was great with communication and check in was very easy. I had traveled long and it was so nice to land in a warm, safe place with their kitties, Twix and Butterfinger, to greet me. Their cats are not intrusive, so if you aren't a cat lover like me, you can avoid them easily. They only responded to me because I engaged them and then were very friendly with me. My room and bed was comfortable and cozy. I got to meet Heather in the morning and we chatted for a bit, which was very enjoyable. :) Thank you so much for hosting me, Heather & Randy! I hope to see you again sometime.

  • Loved staying here! The room we stayed in had a beautiful view of the lake. The house is gorgeous and sparkling clean (it also always smelled really nice in the house). The three cats are so sweet and I'm not even a cat person! I really enjoyed how private my stay was too, I never felt uncomfortable. If I'm ever back in the Duluth area, I'd definitely try to book with her again!

    Morgan2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Kristen was a gracious host and her home is beautiful. We’d recommend her to anyone heading to Duluth!

    Alex2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • This place is already adorable on pics, but when you see it for real, omg it’s amazing! The cats are so friendly and cute, the bathroom was super clean, organized and had all we needed. We had all the information we need to check in on the app, comfy bed, great view, good smell. Internet connection wasn’t good, but we were not interested on that. We loved our stay and would definitely go again.

Historic, charming house 1/2 block from one of the largest & most stunning deep gorge parks in Duluth. Easy access to hiking & biking trails, the newest local craft district, restaurants, pubs, venues & shops. This listing is also on a major bus route, has a fenced in double-lot & 3 private parking spaces. Accommodating Host has 24 years professional knowledge of the major(& hidden) jewels that make Duluth the place to be. Kids & pets are welcomed on a case by case basis. Let's talk 🥰
Built around 1890, this home is a historic gem. Lightly refurbished & decorated w/ eclectic treasures, it retains an aura of yesterday's charms while keeping up with today's necessities. It creaks and groans yet solidly insulates all within from weather, commotion, stress and uncertainty. Available rooms are clean, comfortably furnished and have all basic necessities provided. Hosts seek to accommodate special requests whenever possible.
The Lincoln Park neighborhood is one of the most culturally diverse & economically vibrant in the city of Duluth. The huge city park that gave it its' name surrounds Miller creek, a designated trout stream that tumbles down 12 blocks of steep rocky outcrops and old growth forest. Historically, the neighborhood has gone from turn-of-the century affluence, to mid- century working class to sadly degenerated in the 80's & 90's. From 2000-on it has been on the upswing and is currently experiencing an incredible period of growth and rejuvenation. Investment in business, craft and housing areas make Lincoln Park one of Duluth's most sought- after areas to live, work and relax. Craft breweries, bars, convenience stores, Organic restaurants, cafes, sports complexes, machine shops, banks, boutiques, bakeries, music venues, museums and more can all be found w/in 10 blocks of each other. From this business district spreads the heart & soul of the neighborhood- it's people- who live in homes that spread up the hillside in a multi- colored mix of new and old styles, overlooking the harbor and Lake Superior itself.
  • Would recommend this place to anybody

The only drawback was the slow internet. Also, the host was able to accommodate our electric vehicle, which was appreciated.

While I never needed it, they made sure to have their contact info available and that was very reassuring since I was from out of town. Totally welcoming and accommodating. Side note: beware of your Google GPS navigation, it doesn’t quite get you to the correct address!
