Places to stay in Doolin Road

Places to stay in Doolin Road
Follow the slate and sedum to The Blue Stonecutters Cottage atop Doonagore, a lovely high point with Atlantic views. The home enchants with original features, including beams, recessed windows, and period furnishings, such as the 100-year-old range.
The cottage dates from just after the famine and was lovingly restored a few years ago. Staying here is like going back in time. The renovation preserved as much of the original character of the cottage as we could and we have bought many period pieces to keep the cottage authentic. The cottage has a double bedroom and bathroom. In the lounge there is a sofa. In the lounge there is a wood-burning range. The lounge leads into a pine countered kitchen. Doonagore is quiet and rural, yet the buzz of the coastal villages of Doolin, Lahinch and Liscannor are only a few minutes away. Every day you will discover something new in the ever changing colors and hues of this most spectacular part of the world. You will truly forget what you left behind.
Sitting on a quiet country road in Doonagore with the buzz of Doolin, Lahinch, and Liscannor villages only minutes away, the cottages were built around 1850 for the stonecutters who lived in Doonagore during the days the stone quarry was working. Getting married in Doolin? Ask us about our fabulous elopement wedding venue Tigh na Ghra.
  • Loved our stay here. Traditional Irish cottage, cosy and comfortable and although quite rural it located well between highlights of the wild Atlantic way so makes a great base.

  • This is your bucket list, must stay at place. Visit Ireland is step 1 and step 2 is staying here. Waking up on Valentine’s Day in the cottage was a dream come true.

  • This place was so great to stay at. My husband and I loved it! It was close enough to the town but far enough where it was nice and quiet. It was the perfect getaway after being in Dublin over New Years.

  • We were looking for a place to stay near the cliffs of Moher and the cottage exceeded our expectations. We loved being so remote and what feels like the middle of nowhere. It was super cozy, relaxing and romantic. I would definitely go back during the summertime and stay more than a night !

  • Lovely spot in a idyllic location. The cottage itself was very homely. Would recommend staying here for a quiet, relaxing weekend away.

  • Great spot at a truly special place. The hosts were able to accommodate our late arrival without any issues and gave us recommendations on where to go as soon as we walked into the door. Wonderful breakfast with a gorgeous view of the town and cliffs. Would highly recommend.

    Andrew2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great way to experience the Cliffs by day, and walk to the local pub by night - with wonderful beef stew and burgers, and real traditional Irish music. Then walk back up for a good night’s sleep at Nellie Dee’s. And when you wake breakfast is served. I highly recommend Jimmy and Loraine as hosts.

    Daniel2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loraine's place is wonderful! It's very clean, the beds are comfy and they serve delicious Irish breakfast! The house is large and new and the dining room have a wonderful view. John2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning location and cottage. The perfect cosy place to stay even during one of the biggest storms of the winter. Amazing views from the kitchen too.

    Ian2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely, well located haven. The cottage’s bedrooms were the perfect size, cozy, but more than enough room for comfort. There’s a peaceful, homey, relaxing vibe in the cottage and the view from the kitchen is utterly wonderful, the Atlantic Ocean and cows! We were reluctant to leave.

    Rhoda2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Valeries place was an excellent stop with a fantastic location! They provided plenty of information about the local towns and restaurants.

    Bradley2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible view with a remote location, yet only a few km from Doolin. Very quaint, clean, with super comfortable beds and a nice fireplace. Great view of the hills and the sea on a clear day. I'd definitely stay again!

  • Great location in the beautiful Clare countryside. Really nice cottage which took us back in time during our stay. Wild winter's night, cosy fireside and great friends. The simplicity of the little things. Perfect if wanting to go surfing in near by lahinch or fanore or just for a stroll on the cliffs. Thanks a lot guys. Beware of moonlight ninjas attempting to steal chakras, a good Aran jumper is usually enough keep them at Bay.

  • The perfect getaway in West Ireland! Very close to many attractions including Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. If you like to stay in, keep in mind that WiFi May be spotty, and there is no TV. We found plenty of activities to fill our days so this was not an issue for us.

    Krstn2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage which doubles as a great base camp for nearby activities but cozy enough to spend the day indoors enjoying the space. We spend the night on a quick roadtrip up the coast and our only regret is not having more time to enjoy here.

Traditional Irish cottage newly renovated. Modern Kitchen fully fitted. Solid fuel and underfloor central oil heating. The cottage is cosy and comfortable summer and winter.
My closest neighbor is 500 meters away facing east, you will see him passing on his tractor (red zetor tractor). Again 500 meters facing west is my neighbor who is the local postman.
  • Liam and Maria are fantastic hosts. Driving in from Dublin, our arrival time wasn’t definite and they were very patient and accommodating as well as communicative with us. Upon arrival, they both kindly welcomed us and showed us our accommodations. They got to know us both a bit better and made suggestions as to what we could do in the area during our short stay. We ended up following their suggestions and were not disappointed - they are a wealth of knowledge. The next morning, they prepared a delicious Irish breakfast that had us going strong until the later part of the evening. If I’m in this area again, I’ll definitely be looking to Maria and Liam for lodging. Do yourself a favor: book with these two and you won’t regret it one bit.

  • This place is a hidden treasure in the rolling hills of Clare. We were welcomed with a typical Irish warmth and it was simply fantastic staying here. Secluded yet close enough to both Doolin and Lisdoonvarna, it is ideally placed for Match Making and hiking! Only 9km to the Cliffs of Moher makes it a perfect spot to stay on your way up or down the Wild Atlantic Way. This cottage is a gem and we even said we would love to buy it if it ever came on the market. Snap up this place and just make the most of this true West Irish experience.

Enjoy a stay in your private garden-view room with your own bathroom! It is a modern house with pubs, restaurants and cafés in easy walking distance. From here, you can explore the Atlantic coast, the Aran Islands, the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher & much more! Immerse yourself in the culture of the Irish west coast.
I offer a guest room with its own private bathroom just for your own use. My Wifi is very fast and always on. The room has a single bed (with a cosy electric blanket!), and looks out onto the garden, so it is very quiet at night. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and showerhead, towels, soap, shower gels, shampoos, tooth paste and hairdryer. You can relax in the garden, or watch your favourite series on your device with a nice cup of tea - or coffee :-) ... I'm greening my place... ... with biodegradable cleaning products .... with an under-the-counter filter for the water, so there is no need to buy single-use plastic bottles ... with a compost bin ... with separating rubbish and a recycling system in place. The house is located in a residential area just off the market square of Lisdoonvarna, a town on the edge of a unique area called the Burren and very close to the Cliffs of Moher. It is a 2 minute walk to the bus station (Bus Eireann, route 350 also servicing the Doolin and the ferry pier to Aran Islands, Cliff of Moher, Lahinch, Ballyvaughan - all lovely destinations). By car, it's only 10 min. to the sea and Doolin, 45 min. to Ennis, 50 min. to Shannon Airport, and max 1.5 hours to Galway. If you come by car/motorbike: The best way to travel in Ireland (unless you are staying in big cities only) is renting a car. This enables you to discover all the hidden, magical corners of the Emerald Isle. There is no car hire in Lisdoonvarna, best way to get a car is at the arrival airport. Off-street parking around the corner, (motor)bikes can be safely parked in the garden. Travel by public transport: Bus Eireann offers a more or less regular bus service from Galway, Ennis and Limerick, please see their website for timetable. It is possible to take the bus to Doolin (ferry to Aran Islands), the Cliffs of Moher, beachy Lahinch and the quaint market town of Ennistymon. I'm in easy walking distance to the amenities of Lisdoonvarna. Pubs which in summer provide evening entertainment from traditional to contemporary music, as well as restaurants and cafés are just a few hundred metres away from my house. One of the pubs, the Roadside Tavern, offers their own lager, red ale and stout which are brewed by the owner of the pub in the pub itself! Extremely tasty and definitely worth a tasting. Also, there are traditional music sessions on every night in summer. County Clare's biggest salmon smokehouse and two different visitor centres (Burren Smokehouse) is one of the main attractions in town. Local amenities comprise grocery stores and a butcher, a pharmacy, a church, a surgery, a riding stable, local walking guides etc. I can point you towards experiences that are after your own taste, be if food-related, walking, spiritual experiences, history etc. which are off the beaten track. Ireland's only spa in its beautiful Victorian building has been reopened to the public this summer and is also well worth a visit. The Doolin Caves are only a 5 to 10 min drive away and feature one of the biggest stalactites in the world (6 m long hanging from the cave ceiling!). Doolin also offers ferry rides to the Aran Islands during the summer months, and s Cliff cruise along the majestic Cliffs of Moher. Great ideas for a day trip! To see pictures from the west of Ireland and my area, the Burren and Ireland in general, search for "Karin Funke Redbubble". You can have a lovely stroll from my house in the evening to wind down and let the day's memories sink in. Wifi is available in the house if you bring your own device. The three resident cats are affectionate and docile. They are open to bribery (but nothing smoked or sugary, and no pork, please!). As they are cats, and as such notoriously curious, I would recommend keeping your door closed if you don't want them visiting. I am trying hard to keep them out of the guest space, but sometimes it is inevitable that there might be a few cat hairs. There is no cash machine (ATM) in Lisdoonvarna, the nearest is in Ennistymon, 15 min. by car south of Lisdoonvarna. So it would be advisable to stock up on money before you get here.
I live in a quiet neighbourhood which is nonetheless very close to the square and all the shops, pubs, restaurants and the café. Actually you can see the square from my house. At the same time, going the other way, there is a lovely valley where you can walk, or reach the sea in just 10 minutes by car. The world-famous Cliffs of Moher are only a 20 min drive away, and the Burren (an amazing limestone area) are very close, too. You can also do day trips to the Aran Islands, as the ferries to the islands go from Doolin, a 15 min drive away. There are two beaches in the area - Fanore Beach to the north and Lahinch to the south. FESTIVALS: These are some of the festivals taking place in the area. Please search for them for more details, I'm not allowed to post website addresses. Burren in Bloom Festival - annual, May Burren Slow Food Festival - annual, May Burren Rocks! Doolin Folk Festival - annual, June Doolin Craft Beer Festival - annual, August Burren Food Fayre - annual, last weekend in October
  • Perfect host! I spent a great week at Karin's. I highly recommend this accommodation!

    Margot2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nicest and coziest place ever! I've spent three nights at Karin's place in January. The house is amazing and she has three wonderful friendly cats. Even though it was cold winter season and the village was pretty empty at the moment, I had my three days of exploration and relax. The bed is even provided with an electric hot blanket! I followed Karin's suggestion and discovered some hidden routes and villages around. Definitely worth a visit

    Diana2020-01-17T00:00:00Z

  • Amy is an outstanding host. Very prompt with replys, and gave us great recommendations of places to visit and to places to eat. This cottage was sparkling clean and so modern and comfortable. And the little touches of breakfast and a bottle of beer were so thoughtful. We will stay here again

  • This cottage was a very cozy home away from home. Location was great! The Cliffs of Moher are less than 30 away, and about a 10 minute ride will get you to Doolin- a nice Town with fun pubs and shops. Not to mention, the views from the cottage were AMAZING. Each main room had large windows to admire the Atlantic. Hospitality and quality were top notch. Amy was truly amazing with communication. Her responses were prompt, and she made sure that we had everything that we needed during our stay. The bed was also very comfortable and warm for a cold, windy February. If you plan on staying on the Wild Atlantic Way, choose this place!

  • Very friendly people and cozy cottage. We loved chatting with Liam and Maria, and also they recommended us two wonderful activities we would otherwise have missed, Doolin Cave (spectacular stalactite and great way to get out of the chilly rain) and Bunratty Castle which was on our way to our next stop. Comfy bed and very welcome fire in the evening! Great breakfast cooked by the lovely couple.

  • My husband and I spent three nights at Doolin Haven during our honeymoon. We had a wonderful time! The space was clean and comfortable and Eimear had added touches like breakfast snacks and some wine and chocolate since it was our honeymoon. The house was in a great location for visiting Doolin and the surrounding area. The views of the ocean and the Aran islands were gorgeous and the smart tv was perfect for a quiet night in. We would definitely come back.

    Steph2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The space looks just as pictured, very comfortable, quiet and clean. It’s up on a hill with beautiful views out to the islands (on a clear day). It has all of the amenities you could need, including a full kitchen, a washer and dry rack, great WiFi and effective heating. The bed was comfortable and we slept well! The location is excellent for seeing the sights of the area or taking a short drive to Doolin for a meal. Eimear welcomed us when we arrived and was an excellent host, giving us a tour of the space then leaving us to settle in. We enjoyed two nights here and would definitely stay again if we’re ever back in the area.

    Sarah2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy little home/guesthouse next to main house with great views! Eimear was super hospitable and friendly. She left us breakfast items and snacks which was amazing-- always feels more like vacation when breakfast is included and you don't have to think about it! She was quick with answering any and all of our questions . Close to Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and ferries to the Aran Islands. We were able to walk to town for dinner which took about 40minutes. And the washer was a lifesaver=]

    Hayley2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved Doolin Haven! It is so close to the Cliffs of Moher and you can see the Aran Islands from the window! Everything was absolutely perfect and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The location was great and scenery peaceful. If we ever return to the lovely village of Doolin we will be staying here again.

    Kelsey2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is my all time favorite place that I have ever stayed....great hosts, beautiful views of Doolin and the Aran Islands...truly a little piece of heaven. The accommodations are more than you need and gorgeous....I can’t wait to get back!

  • Lovely little house, great position, amazing view. Would definitely recommend

    Trudy2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Eimear was truly a fantastic host. From our initial communication at reservation through check-in and the helpful tips she offered to us for our stay in Doolin. Doolin Haven is a wonderful location a short drive from town/the pier and the coastal walk up to the Cliffs of Moher. Great amenities including a small kitchenette where we were more than ecstatic to make a few “home” cooked meals during our trip in Ireland. I would highly recommend Doolin Haven to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Bright, modern one bedroom cabin in the heart of the countryside. We are a 10 minute drive from Lahinch beach and 15 minute drive from Doolin. Our cabin has breathtaking views of the countryside with Liscannor bay in the distance and is a great base for visiting the Aran Islands, Cliffs Of Moher and the Burren. We are located 7km from the town of Ennistymon in the peaceful town land of Carrowduff.
The cabin is situated on our 2.5 acre property and is a small (5m x 5.8m) but bright and cheery space. The cabin is heavily insulated in the walls, floor and ceiling so it is cosy and warm all year round and there are electric radiators for the cooler months. There is an en-suite shower room with a waterless eco composting toilet, electric shower and wash hand basin. The kitchen/living dining area has a kitchenete suitable for preparing basic meals with a portable electric 2 ring hob, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle and toaster. There are glass patio doors that open out onto a small covered deck and there is a gravel patio area beyond the deck with beautiful views.
We are situated within a 10-15min drive of the Cliffs Of Moher and all of the following villages, Doolin, Lahinch, Lisdoonvarna, Ennistymon and Liscannor. Kilshanny House is our nearest pub just over 3km away. There are regular live traditional music nights in the pubs in Doolin through out the year. Liscannor also offers pubs and restaurants as does Lahinch which is also famous for its beautiful surfing beach. The town has many surf schools offering lessons suitable for all ages. The town of Ennistymon is 7km away and is a busy little rural town with supermarkets, banks, post office, grocery shops, pubs and restaurants.

The view of the countryside is breathtaking, and we weren’t too far from a couple great pubs, like Fitzpatricks and Gus O’Conners (highly recommend both). This was a great two night stay.

There are many wonderful things to do in the area. Visit the Cliffs of Moher, and do the scenic cliff walk trail Doolin-Cliffs-Liscannor. Take a boat trip to the Aran Islands (Mar - Oct). Have a wander around the wild Burren (I know lots of walking routes that you can do). Visit Lahinch beach to sunbathe, swim or surf! Go horse riding. Try rock climbing. And after a busy day, relax in many of the famous pubs in Doolin, while listening to Irish traditional music, with over 35 sessions per week in the summer it can be difficult to decide which one to attend!
  • Great location, view, and stylish space. Every little detail well thought out and intentional. The only regret is that we didn’t have a couple more days in our trip to stay longer. Definitely a must book!!!

    Charsie2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay. Everything was super clean and nice. Maybe a bit more room for storing stuff would be nice but it's not a deal breaking. Everyone who wants to see the cliff's of moher should stay there. 5/5

    Philipp2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • A slice of heaven! This view tho. So beautiful I wanted to just cry. Such a sweet place, amazing location, great communication and such a beautiful little home to stay in. I will (and already have) recommended it to everyone I know.

    Carly2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is wonderful and what a view ! Really clean and lovely. Orla is very welcoming ! The breakfast is wonderful with a lot of small kindnesses ! Really good adress, i would no hesitate to reserve here again !

    Donatien2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment with love to details! Everything is very modern and clean! The homemade bread, granola, cookies as well as the fresh fruits, juice and milk was perfect for breakfast! Handwritten welcome book with lots of recommendations for pubs, activities, etc. Coastal walk to the cliffs of moher takes approx. 1 hours. Communication with Orla was quick and easy. I can only highly recommend this apartment to anyone:)

    Amelie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • I won’t be able to put into words how amazing This place was. The view from our bed was just how my husband and I wanted to wake up on our anniversary. Orla provides such a serine feeling in her home. The directions were perfect. The place was easily accessible with private parking. The amount of sweet personal touches were above an beyond any Airbnb I have ever stayed at! We will definitely be booking again when we return for our 5 year! I could go on and on about every detail but you should experience for your self! Just beautiful!

    Jamie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I spent 2 nights at Orla's beautiful home in the most spectacular location. We were both in need of rest and battery re-charge and my oh my, did we relax! From the moment we arrived, it was obvious just how much thought and effort that Orla had put in to making us feel welcome and pampered. There were suggestions of local restaurants, pubs, places of interest all set out for us by Orla. We enjoyed beautiful breakfasts with Orla's homemade oat bread, granola, fruit juices, yoghurts and a variety of teas/coffee. Every toiletry required was provided in the bathroom so all we had to do was relax and unwind and take in the most spectacular view of the ocean from morning right through to nightfall. Thank you for everything Orla! We will DEFINITELY return!

    Mary2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described! Hubby and I booked Orla's place for Valentine's Day. The place was perfectly located 5 mins from the Cliffs of Moher and less than 10 mins to Doolin. Orla provided homemade yogurt, heart shaped cookies, apple muffins, oat bread, and freshly squeezed orange juice!!! There is a warming rack in the bathroom... and let me say... after 40 mph winds and 7 degree temps the rain shower and warm towels were amazing!!! Room 2 has a perfect view of the ocean.... Would love to stay again for a longer time. 😍

Hi there, Our cosy rooms are situated on the edge of the Burren between Lisdoonvarna and Doolin. So much to do in the area, horse riding minutes from accommodation, Doolin cave is a 4 minute drive and Doolin pier is a 10 minute drive to catch your boat to the beautiful Aran Islands. Doolin has some of the best traditional music and food in the world, one of my favourite places in the world, Last but not least we are a 15 minute drive from the majestic cliffs of moher.
Rooms are en-suite ,warm and cosy. There is no breakfast included as such, but there is a shared guest kitchen and living area for your use, I will provide tea, coffee milk and cereal and you can cook in the kitchen as you wish, Sky TV and WIFI are available. The kitchen and living room is a shared space for guests.
The area is quiet, but Doolin is around a 10 minute drive away, Lisdoonvarna is 2 KLm away. But there are many things to do in the area, Horse Riding Center from this property is a 5 minute walk, the Burren is a few minutes by car, fab restaurants and scenery. There is a bus service from lisdoonvarna that services Ennis, Galway, limerick. A car or other vehicle would probably be an advantage.
  • Annette is a very nice and sympathetic woman. Her house is very lovingly and nicely decorated. Everything is very clean and well maintained. From the terrace you can see the cliffs of moher. Everything worked out great, I can only recommend this property.

  • Everything was perfect. The room with the private bathroom was very nice, clean and comfortable. Annette is a very friendly and courteous host. There are also a big kitchen and living room, to cook, relax and watch TV. The outside area around the house is beautiful with an amazing view to the cliffs of moher. We had breakfast on terrace and can absolutely recommend!

  • fantastic host who is welcoming and friendly. annette really is happy to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. property is spotlessly clean and ideally situated between doolin and lisdoonvarna. the only downside would be that you really need a vehicle to get anywhere as there is very little in the immediate vicinity. thanks annette for making our stay so enjoyable.

Own car essential. Minimum 2 nights stay. Apologies, no children or dogs. One of 3 rented rooms in our home. Single bunk beds in private room. Shared kitchen, Sitting room and bathroom. Close to Doolin, Lahinch, the Burren National Park and the Cliffs of Moher. Continental breakfast included. Cooked breakfast, an additional €9
Very rural but only 5km from Doolin and Lahinch. Very well renovated Irish farmhouse with 3 letting bedrooms. (2 doubles and 1 single) we share our home...kitchen, living room, bathroom and gardens. We enjoy meeting and spending time with our guests but also respect your privacy. Kitchen, bathroom, living space with TV and gardens. Parking. As little or as much as the guests want. Some people just have breakfast and stay out until bedtime, others come home in the early evening and we sometimes cook and eat together. It depends entirely on each guest. Peace and quiet. There is very little light pollution so the stars are amazing. From the top of the hill overlooking Doolin and the Aran Islands you can see fantastic sunsets. The pubs in Doolin are famous for their nightly traditional Irish music and they also serve really good meals. The beautiful beach at Lahinch is both safe for swimming and is also a surf beach. There is a golf course in Lahinch. A ferry can be caught from Doolin to visit the Aran Islands or take a cruise alongside the Cliffs of Moher, which are about 10 minutes away by car. We are on the edge of the Burren National Park and very close to many of the locations used to film the Father Ted series. It is essential to hire a car. Shannon Airport is just under an hour We have two cats (who are NOT allowed in the bedrooms)

  • Everything was perfect! Thank you Gabi and Chris for making our stay so special. You created a wonderful home!

  • Charming home in a great location with warm and kind host that offer great tips of things to do. Perfect place for vegan travelers.

  • Do yourself a favor and book here! Gabi and Christys home is beautiful and out in the country in Clare County where the truest form of Ireland can be seen. Gabi is just a brilliant host and she goes out of her way to help you to feel welcome and comfortable. She has fantastic tips for what to see and helps you map out a plan if you need one! And she is so fun to talk to to boot!!! This was my first trip to Ireland and I had no idea just how fortunate I was to stumble upon Gabi and Christy and their home!! I will be back and will definitely make this beautiful home my main stay. Beyond grateful for Gabi and this Air BnB experience.

    Shelbi2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's very nice retired couple. Attentive and hospitality. Gabi give lot explanations about the region. Bonne place pour visiter le Burren.

    Marc2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Gabi is a wonderful host! She is such a nice person, you instantly feel welcomed. She gives great recommendations and was very open to every guest who was staying at the bnb! I would return at any time and would recommend the bnb to anyone!

    Christine 2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • I was sad the day I had to leave. Gabi and Christy are two of the greatest people I've met and I've met a lot of people. Instantly got on with them, easily, and carried a conversation till I eventually had to leave to stuff my face. I was starving. The drive to their house was so much fun and so beautiful. They live in a remote area. They are 15 mins from everything. I stayed in the bunk bed room cause I'm 5 and thought it would be fun :) It was super comfy and enough space for just me. Bathroom was great with perfect water pressure. Breakfast was delish and had many options to choose from. Thank you for having honey. I will never forget my stay here and can't recommend enough. One day I will return. Stop looking at other B&B's, this one is perfect!

    Angel2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Gabi and Christy are amazing hosts, the house is nice and quite. It's pretty close to both dooling and Lahinch. The breakfast is very satisfying and it's nice to chat with Gabi and Christy over a cup of tea. Very recommended

Bright spacious room and a private bathroom. The bed is specially selected to guarantee a refreshing nights sleep. The interior decoration is very appealing to the eye. The entire property is maintained to a very high standard . Extra blankets and pillows for maximum comfort
You will have UNLIMITED wifi access. This is a feature that is probably unique to Doolin Breeze. You can watch the cattle grazing in the adjacent fields when they are allowed out onto the land. If you are lucky enough to arrive during the month of may the cuckoo is likely to serenade you from the tree tops. Doolinbreeze is very centrally located, right in the heart of all the major and wonderful attractions . James and Maureen love their native Doolin area and both are a fund of information on this lovely region. They are very interested in nature and enjoy sharing tips, suggestions and ideas with their guests on the best places to visit, best places for entertainment and best places to dining out. Both James and Maureen like to travel and so are well versed in the requirements and concerns of holidaymakers. It is our priority to help make your trip a memorable one and to help you in any way we can.
The lovely country side views , the breathtaking sea views and the proximity to the Burren make this neighbourhood truely unique

If you find you need a larger space there is also a two bedroom chalet on the ground floor. Which can be booked together. These chalets are in the courtyard of the Aran View Country House.
If you are looking my for a quiet place with breathtaking views look no further than the Aran View Chalets. We have everything you need for a relaxing break away. Come and enjoy.
It is in a beautiful area, one of the best views of the wild Atlantic way. It is a quiet and peaceful area, but still only ten minutes walk into the village.
  • Sharon is an incredible host, and met us for check-in with the yummiest jam and muffins, as well as being incredibly accommodating for all of our needs. The apartment is lovely, and close to Cliffs of Moher and many other gorgeous places on the coast. Would definitely recommend!!

    Shelby2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • This space was great. 15 min drive to the cliffs which is where we were visiting primarily. We spent Thanksgiving in this space and had all the necessary accommodations to make a full meal and dine in the space. It was a really beautiful space with an amazing view out of the front gates. Also a sweet little pooch would come visit us each time we walked out the door. Sharon was great and even brought us a cake to eat!

    Troy2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great host, great location

    Rusty2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon's apartment is very nice and functional. Very clean and equipped with every comfort. If you move with your own vehicle you will have no problem moving around and finding a supermarket in one of the nearby villages (in Doolin there are neither supermarkets nor off licenses), but if you arrive in Doolin by bus I suggest you make a nice expense before boarding. This way you will be able to take advantage of the kitchen available and you will not be able to walk 2km to the small village to find bars and restaurants. For the rest it is a fantastic place that is worth visiting at least once in a lifetime.

    Francesca Romana2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The location was close enough to everything you’d want to do- Cliffs visitor center was a 15 minute drive and Fanore Beach was 15 the other way. Walking distance to a few pubs. The check in was easy and Sharon even let me in a little early. Great communication as she responded quickly to anything I needed! I loved Doolin so much I stayed an extra night which Sharon was more than happy to accommodate. The place was clean and even had a hair dryer when I forgot mine. I appreciated the milk in the fridge for my tea. The WiFi was down for the weekend but they were working on it. I added breakfast which was awesome! Overall it was a great stay, though why you’d spend much time in any Airbnb when you could be out exploring the town is beyond me!

    Kari2019-10-12T00:00:00Z

  • An absolutely wonderful stay! We were minutes from Doolin and the Cliffs, had tons of space and a kitchen to operate in! Sharon, our host, was absolutely lovely and even gave us a lift into town when she saw us heading that way. Just a great place and an amazing trip!

  • Location was absolutely perfect if you are looking for a quite, remote setting with no distractions other than the sound of the sea. Views from the living room are amazing in good weather but even the misty Atlantic on a cold wet day has its charm. The house is cozy and warm with an incredibly comfortable, massive bed. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean and well kitted out. All in all, I couldn't have faulted our stay. We really enjoyed and would definitely recommend to friends and family who are looking for some peace and tranquility surrounded by a stunning backdrop.

  • Lovely comfortable place looking out at the sea with the hills behind. It's nicely remote, about 3-4km from the nearest shop and pub. There's a lovely ~10km hike right from the door, but you really want a car to make the most of it. The landscape of the area is incredible and there are loads of great places to visit with a 30 min drive. The house itself is very comfortable, with a good kitchen and lovely sitting room space. Ann Marie was very helpful and accommodating.

    Brendan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ann Marie is a very accommodating hostess. She responds quickly to questions and is super cute! The accommodation was great. Great location, great views, clean and nicely decorated. A big thank you to the host :)

The room and the bathroom were very clean and everything was ready, what you need. In the morning there was a delicious breakfast. • Nice quiet location, we slept very well. Jenny is a very nice host and gave us lots of tips. Thank you for everything!

    Agnes2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny’s place is great for 1-2 travelers. Private bathroom with special touches. Fabulous amenities and wonderful continental breakfast with freshly baked scones and pastries! Very close within 15-20 minute drive to restaurants and within 30 minutes or less to the Cliffs of Moher. Off street parking and bed warmers. Fluffy large white towels were really nice. I highly recommend her room. Host is on site if needed.

  • Jenny is the BEST host we’ve ever had and her place is as ideal as it can be. This is no exaggeration, she was truly amazing. A beautiful house and a beautiful room, comfortable, stylish, full of great little details and very clean. The location is great, very short drives to several great sites. Breakfast was a feast prepared with care. She was always very attentive and friendly. Communication with her was excellent throughout the whole process. To anyone who’s looking for a place in the area, you will not regret staying in her place!

  • Lovely house in a super location with a fabulous breakfast! Definitely recommend Deirdre’s place!

    Geraldine2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Deirdre's. We arrived a bit later than anticipated but checking in was very easy, Deirdre met us on arrival. Our room was very comfortable, private and clean. There are some great pubs in walking distance - we went to nearby O'Connors. We enjoyed waking to the morning light coming over the hill into Doolin and enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Deidre. The Cliffs of Moher are just 10 minutes away by car. Deirdre was such a wonderful and warm host!

    Joanna2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place. Newly remodeled and nicely done. Comfy bed, nice room. Amazing cooked-to-order breakfast. Very short walk to village. Great location and views. We will be back. Thank you Deirdre!

    Aaron2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Deirdre’s place is super, room was clean and had all amenities, and let me tell you about the breakfast! Omg! She cooks any breakfast you can possibly imagine and the pancakes , omelette and poached eggs I had were amazing! The breakfasted needed when walking the trail to the Cliffs of Moher, straight from her house. Also it’s right in the center of town so you can walk anywhere. Brilliant stay and will come again!

  • Deirdre's place is a MUST if you're staying in Doolin! Her B&B is just beautiful, exquisitely clean, great views, incredible breakfast in the morning, and walking distance to all the pubs and restaurants in one direction, and to the ocean in the other direction. Such a great value for the price, and Deirdre herself couldn't be more warm, kind, and have gone out of her way to make sure my stay was everything and more! Just magic!

    Sarah2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Looking for an amazing location in Doolin - this is it! Easy walk to all of Doolin and perfect location to drive to lot for Aran Island visit or Cliffs of Moher. Bed was super comfy and breakfast was amazing. Soft touches like great water pressure and heat along with bed being made up daily make this place an choice and an easy review.

    Travis2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Deirdre’s place was the best BnB I’ve stayed at my whole 10 day visit to Ireland. It is beautifully decorated with many thoughtful touches. My room was bright and sunny and quiet. The home is just a short walk to pubs and restaurants. The drive in and out of Doolin was a bit harrowing at times but it was gorgeous and SO worth it. Just Beautiful!!! But one of the best parts of all was Deirdre herself. She was so lovely, kind, knowledgeable and fun. Thank you!!! I would definitely love to stay there again.

    LouAnne2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Deirdre’s place was perfect. We felt welcomed and relaxed as soon as we walked through the door. Our room was spotless and offered everything we needed. The bed was luxurious! Breakfast was amazing. We would definitely recommend Deirdre’s place!

  • What a great place! Liam’s hospitality made me feel right at home. His knowledge of the area and specifically the best way to hike the cliffs of mahor was perfect! I followed his advice and couldn’t have found a better spot to park and begin the hike myself. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! The only thing you should know is it was hard for me to find his place. Google maps is the only one that worked.. and it helped to use the Crosswinds b&b as a nearby land mark. But I couldn’t have asked for a better experience than staying at Liam’s.

    Joseph2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, very peaceful house, away from the noise of the city to spend a relaxing night after having a beer at a Doolin's pub and the next day going to the Clifts of Moher (if you like sports you can go cycling from there and it's about 50 minutes maybe or a little more). I know that the important thing in Airbnb is the accommodation, however, I would like to highlight the personality of the hosts, two people who have many interesting things to talk about and with whom you will feel at home. No doubt two wonderful people. I hope to return, at least, one more time :)

    Victor2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The B&B is a bit out of town and a bit of a walk, but that's the only downside! It is very nice here, surrounded by fields and very close to the Cliffs of Moher, wherever a bus goes! The house itself is very clean and cozy and the breakfast was delicious. Maria and Liam are happy to help with questions or problems and look at the well-being of the guests.

    Mirjam2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Liam & Maria’s place for the night. She was an amazing host, great to talk to, myself her and another guest had good conversations. She gave suggestion on local food places and touristy spots that effected my itinerary. Also when i had to leave early the next day, she was very kind to get the whole amazing breakfast ready as early.

    Ranjith Kumar2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Liam and Maria are an amazing host!, the house is superclean and is just 5-10 min away from the cliffs, the bedroom have all the necessary and the breakfast is delicious. They also gave me very good recommendation for places that i wasn't planned to visit and they were spectacular

    Ricardo2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place only a 10’min drive from the cliffs of Moher. Liam And Maria were super nice and gave me tips regarding my visit to the cliffs. The place was super clean and cozy

  • Amy’s place was an incredible stay right along the Wild Atlantic Way. She provided great little touches and some amazing bites for breakfast (the jam was phenomenal!). We loved waking up and opening the blinds to have a view of the ocean. Amy provided great recommendations-we spent the raining evening at Fitz’ bar in Doolin with some incredible music. Easy access to the Cliffs of Moher the next morning. We chose to drive but the walking path looked stunning for a warmer day! Would definitely recommend.

Lisdoonvarna is a small rural town near to the Cliffs of Moher on the Wild Atlantic Way. It is a great base for those touring or walking.
  • All of it was great, and a great value, but there is a secret ingredient this couple has in running this B&B smack in the center of Lisdoonvarna: they felt like family. The breakfast is incredible, the whole building is adorable and the staff first rate. I honestly got a little homesick when I left. I was there covering the Matchmaking Festival and O'Neill's was a much needed respite from the madness.

    Colleen2019-09-04T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderful location and lovely people! Both Joyce and Fiona were so nice and really made me feel at home. Even though it was not a hot meal, I loved the breakfast. They provided so many types of cereal and even sandwich supplies! It’s a beautiful property surrounded by other B&Bs and pastures. I really enjoyed looking at the cows out the window. It was a very quick walk to the nearest pub for food and drinks but I also used the kitchenette to make some meals.

    Abby2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona and Joyce were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They answered all of our questions and gave us great advice! They even offered us the ensuite room because it was vacant. Beautiful room, wonderful house, great price and the best location in the world!

    Reina2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Casa di Fiona is immersed in the Irish countryside but within walking distance of pubs full of warmth, music and good food. Everything was perfect: spotlessly clean and super-tidy room and bathroom, huge self-service breakfast and breathtaking views from the window. It is a great accommodation as a base point for visiting the Cliffs of moher (15 minutes by car) and for the ferry to the Aran islands (to visit!). Last but not least Fiona and her mother welcomed us in a genuine and very sweet way.

    Valentina2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely lovely! Sparkling clean, and the view out my front window was stunning. It was an easy walk to Doolin (though I’d recommend a flashlight on the way back to avoid horse droppings on the road), and only thirty minute walk to the pier. McDermott’s is nearby, and their music and food, paired with a close bed, made for the loveliest evening. I especially loved all the environmental touches (separate out the waste, electric shower, etc). Highly recommend!!

    Megan2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona’s place is really lovely. We were offered a larger room on arrival as it was available, which was a very lovely and much appreciated gesture. I would recommend staying here, the location is very convenient, the hosts are very kind and it is very good value for money!

    Úna Meria2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best of the 4 airbnbs we stayed in during our trip through Ireland. It is modern and very clean. At 300m you find a nice pub with live music and good food.

    Annelies2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona and Joyce were some of the best hosts we ever had! Their home is lovely, we even got upgraded to a larger room since it was empty. They even went above and beyond to make sure we made all our ferries and buses. If you’re coming to Doolin you must stay here!

    Meghan2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely room in a great location to visit Doolin. Fiona fb her mum we’re both lovely and the house is very clean and tidy. The room is on the smaller side but it fit two of us with two suitcases comfortably - I even managed to push the bed against the wall to do a little workout! Great to have the kitchen with some handy food bits and the oven and other amenities to make food. Would recommend!
