Escape to a Sunny Apartment in a Quiet D.C. Suburb

Living Room amenities include a Smart TV and an Amazon Fire TV Stick. Fully equipped kitchen and cooking essentials. Lovely patio with seating area and herb garden. Comfortable bed and quality linens. Keurig coffee maker with coffee and tea provided. You have your own private entrance and patio area on an entire different side of the house so your experience can be as private as you like. The entire apartment which includes: washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen and patio area. Your host will be available for anything you need during your stay. My daughter/co-host, Bernadette, a young D.C. professional, can also answer any questions about the D.C. area, restaurants and other cool places to go. The apartment is in a quiet suburban neighborhood with easy access to the Washington area. It's a short walk to the FDA. Downtown Silver Spring is nearby, with its many restaurants, bars, Fillmore music venue, Ellsworth Dog Park, and a movie theater. The National Archives, University of Maryland College Park and UMUC are just few miles away. A Ride-On bus stop is located on the same block as the apartment. A Metro bus stop is 5 minute walk. Silver Spring Metro Station is about 4 miles away. There are a few parking garages at the Silver Spring Metro Station if you choose to drive there and then hop on the metro. Free parking on weekends and holidays at all Montgomery County Parking garages (some lots and street parking may require payment on Saturday). You could also Uber/Lyft to the metro station or all the way into the city (great option esp if you're splitting fare).

Cozy basement unit minutes from Washington, D.C. or the University of Maryland. Within 10 minutes walk of restaurants, breweries, bike share, and rail station with direct access to Union Station. Five minute drive/ 20 minute walk to DC metro subway station. Excellent access to bike paths, plenty of on-street parking, quiet neighborhood. A big, fenced backyard with an outdoor table, a fire pit with wood supply, trampoline and hammock in good weather. Great base for visiting for D.C. or UMD.

Small cabin style- 23 min commute to US Capitol!

This in-law suite is better defined as a small apt. attached to house; own entrance, bathroom, kitchen & free parking! Queen bed, clean sheets, towels, iron, board, kitchen pots, dining table, TV & more. It’s small but with all amenities necessary to live. If looking for a huge space, this will not be it. Good for single/couple cruising by the DMV on a BUDGET! -20 min walk to metro; off DC border, 18 min. drive to center of city. -Check in times on weekends may vary! Sat- 3pm & Sun- 5pm

Visit DC! Renovated basement w/ bedroom, en-suite bath, and kitchenette with private entrance available in residential Silver Spring. Home is one block to major bus lines, half a block to bike rental station, or 15 min walk/5 min bus ride to metro and is a quiet and safe but convenient location for your DC/ Silver Spring visit. UPDATE! Both metro stations near our home will be closed June- August 2024 due to purple line construction. Only bus service will be available for the summer.

Cozy One Bedroom Apartment Near DC

Recently renovated, large, one-bedroom basement apartment with a separate entrance, large dining and living area, bedroom, walk-in shower, and kitchenette. Please note, there are stairs to clime as place is in the basement (see photos). We have free street parking and easy access to public transportation. Groceries and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. Downtown Silver Spring is less than 2 miles and 15-20 minutes drive is to NIH, UMD, Bethesda, FDA and downtown DC.

Sunny and quiet basement studio with private entrance. We live upstairs, but you will have privacy once you have checked in. The studio apartment is about 1.3 miles from the University of Maryland, seven miles from DC, a short walk to Metro and other public transportation.
