Jimmy made us feel very welcome. We loved the Yellow Submarine. It is done in a very classy way. The bed was so comfy!

jimmy's place was awesome! And jimmy was a great host because we were a pain in the ass. He let us have four people in the bus & let us check in early. We had a great experience & great conversation. I recommend this to everyone.

This was such a unique and awesome place to stay! We needed a last minute place in the area, and Jimmy was so accommodating. He helped us start a fire in the stove and turned on the space heaters before we arrived, then showed us how everything worked. The bus is beautifully renovated - with wood and granite, and that Jimmy built himself. It was cozy and the bed was comfy - we had a wonderful stay!

Jimmy's yellow submarine is just lovely. Everything we needed for a quiet weekend getaway. Jimmy was kind and very quick to respond to my questions. My favorite part about this place is probably the bed, slept like a baby for the first time in a long time. Just note, no locks and open windows. If you are a paranoid person, maybe not the best choice. But my boyfriend and I felt safe enough and our privacy was never invaded. We had a wonderful stay, thank you Jimmy.

First trip of the New Year and it was a great experience. I was worried about it being too cold in the bus. I was pretty cold, but there are two small heaters and a wood stove. I just used the wood stove. Although it is a pain to keep feeding the fire, it really got toasty in there. I mean what fire don't you have to feed anyway? We have all been to a bon fire hahaha. The mornings were def cold since the fire dies at night, but my boyfriend and I still left at the times we planned to start our day, which were anywhere between 3am-10am. The lowest temp we experienced was 15 degrees. Cold but doable. If you really do not like the cold, I would wait until maybe summer to try the bus. The bus itself was amazing and super cute. I would def stay there again. Pretty big and spacious. There is a sink in there, but towards the end of the stay it stopped working, my guess is that the water may have frozen.. HAH! But that was ok.. that water was super cold anyways. There are, I believe, 3 areas people can stay in that surround the bus. One which occupies the host, his son, and his girlfriend :). All three have a kitchen, restroom, and showers. The host will tell you which you can use. I believe you can use all three, but they try to space people out so that too many people aren't using just one. Making it more comfortable for everyone. There is a tub on the bus that does not work... "yet". So maybe in the future? I just emptied all my clothes and organized them in there so I can see everything better instead of digging through my bag. My clothes were cold, but I didn't mind. There is a small toilet on the bus, I didn't use it. It is cute, but I preferred to use the restroom inside one of the other areas. The host has the ability to fix toilets, so have no fear! There is a small gas burner, like for camping. I was able to make toasted sandwiches, soups, pizza bagels, croissant breakfast sandwiches. It was a little difficult because it is only one burner, but there's a whole kitchen a few steps away if you want to really get down with some cooking. (3 kitchens actually). I worked with what I had, and it was fun. All I did was wash the dishes inside since there is warm water in there. The walk to the 3 areas are not far at all. It was a cold walk, but it is winter, dress appropriately. The bed in there really is amazing. Probably the best sleep I have had in a very long time. And it def kept me warm all night. Magical bed. The host and his girlfriend are great. I loved them. They will talk to you, check on...

This home is lovely! I stayed here for almost two weeks and I wanted to move in! There are skylights in every room which create lots of natural light! The bed was very nice and comfy, and I loved the converted sauna bathroom! This is a great place to stay if you prefer privacy. I felt very welcomed, but not even remotely intruded upon! I would definitely stay here again. I forgot to sign in, though.

This place was so inviting, cozy, clean and comfy! The coffee station was a nice touch. This is on my favorites, I will make this my preferred place when I'm in oregon.

We had a very nice stay- completely private, cold beverages were left for our enjoyment in the fridge, and we enjoyed using the hot tub. Convenient location close to corridor south down to Portland. We will definitely opt to stay in the pool house in the future!

I had an amazing stay at the 'Couv Pool & Hot Tub House. Check-in was simple and effortless. Loved how Marci&Mark were responsive with any questions we had. Also, the place was so beautiful with cute decor. We slept fine on the bed, considering futons usually don't have the greatest reputation. My boyfriend is actually contemplating a futon bed now because he rested really well on their bed. The area is in a safe quiet suburban neighborhood, with a safeway, walmart, and gas station down the street. The drive to Portland was easy, where it took less than 25-30 mins to get to any attractions in downtown portland. I would highly recommend this airbnb for a variety of reasons, but mainly because the host are responsive, the house is well maintained, and the location is ideal if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle (it was nice not having to deal with cars and people everywhere).

Stayed at the couv for 5 days for a valentines getaway. It was the perfect home away from home. All the basics were there and Mark and Marci were great with accommodating our other needs (not that we had any.... other than wishing for a TV because we were missing the Olympics) When we arrived there was an adorable message on a chalkboard for us in the kitchen. The night before Valentines we came home to a bottle of champagne and a bowl of candies and chocolate covered strawberries with another note wishing us a happy valentines. These two are great hosts! Secluded home, clean and cute, backyard pool and hottub, 15 min drive from portland, 5 min drive to the mall... I can go on. I highly recommend it!

Great space! My husband & I had a great time at Marci & Marks Pool House. After a long day of hiking and visiting with family we'ed soak in the hot tub and went for a swim. We grilled yummy dinner the first night, Marci & Mark & there son were gracious hosts. When in the Portland or Washington area this will be the AirB&B for me. Thank you both what a sweet spot.

The 'Couv Pool and Hot Tub House was precisely what I expected from the photos and more! It was a warm and relaxing little house, beautifully decorated (it was like we were living in a Crate and Barrel catalog) with its own private entrance and driveway. If you're looking for a place where you can relax with no common walls, establish a romantic atmosphere or (with take out) set up a nice candlelit dinner, this is the place to do it!

Staying at this little pool house fit me perfect! It was very cute and clean! Mark and Marci were great about letting me use the pool area with my two grandchildren! Their children were so polite and friendly with my grandchildren in the pool! I plan to stay again on another visit to Vancouver to visit my son and his family!

This place has to be the best choice out there. It was sooo peaceful and quiet and what lovely craftsmanship at this home!!! Martin and family were super nice and friendly too!! I'll come back for sure!

The family and Annie(Lab) made me feel very welcome. The room was just as posted and nice comfortable bed, with a small as well as fat pillow. I sleep on thin ones. A nice surprise. The neighborhood was lovely, I'm from Alaska so it was nice to look out on the green. Many thanks.

This is a beautiful home in a secluded neighborhood. It was a short drive to the grocery store and some local places. The kitchenette was a wonderful addition and made my two week stay much easier on my wallet. I highly recommend this for your stay. Their black lab, Annie, is a sweetheart!

Martin was super helpful with our booking and communicated with us the whole way. We were making a very quick trip to purchase a trailer and I inquired about the parking situation. Martin replied promptly, accommodated our last minute stay, late check in, trailer parking and our super early check out :-) he was even kind enough to stay on the phone with us while we drove through the gates and guided us to his house. The house is spacious and the neighborhood felt very safe! The room is convenient for coming and going and the attached bathroom is great for privacy. Thank you!

The home and grounds are breathtaking, and the host was warm and welcoming. The room itself was basic but quite adequate for my needs. Unfortunately, there was no way to make a cup of coffee in the morning (no microwave or coffee/hot water pot). Future guests should be advised, especially if they have hip or back issues, that the mattress in the room is very hard. But the decor is adorable and the there are lots of cozy blankets.

Everything was wonderful. The house is huge and in a beautiful neighborhood. The room was nice, had a big bed and a nice view. The host was very welcoming. This was our first Airbnb experience and it was lovely.

Sheila's place was a relaxing retreat stop on our way to Seattle. The house was recently built and she keeps it impeccably clean. The carpets are so soft you could fall asleep on it. She went out of her way to accommodate us for the night, which she didn't need to do and she had great tasting coffee for us when we woke up. I highly recommend this place, for the price you won't find anything better in the area. We will definitely be staying again when visiting!

This place was perfect for my stay; it’s clean, cozy, and has everything you can possible need. The home is in a nice neighborhood, close to shops and restaurants. The room is nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed, not to mention your own private bathroom. Sheila was a lovely host, very welcoming and accommodating. She makes me feel right at home. This was my third time staying here and I would definitely stay here again, the next time I am in Vancouver.............This was a true Home-Away-From-Home!!

This property is breathtaking. The price is such a value for everything that is here. I've used this site before and one other vacation home rental site, but if you can even imagine it, the pictures don't begin to do this beautiful home and property justice. There are views for miles and miles from almost every room and balcony. We could even see the Portland West Hills from the master bedroom, if you can imagine that. It was so quiet at night, that you could hear a pin drop. It was SO much more than we ever expected. We had a family reunion and it was just unbelievable. There's a gorgeous gas fire pit in the back yard that actually produced a perfect amount of heat during a very cold Pacific Northwest Winter. We sat around the fire for a long time and never got cold. The bottom balcony wraps around the house and there are beautiful little plants everywhere and big trees of all different sorts of fall colors. Sunny was quick with his response and very professional to work with, and accommodating our family had some "glitches" to say the least. He was kind and peaceful and just a nice guy. It's the perfect place for a stay or especially an event. My first thought would be a wedding. It reminded me of the house in "gone with the wind" version 2016! Everything was spotless and the space is set up in a way that makes it seem so much bigger than 5,000 sq. Feet. I'm grateful that our family got to spend time here. I'd recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Again, it's also perfect for events. As we were checking out, they were beginning an afternoon event and it looked beautiful. Frank and Pam are amazing hosts! The Carriage House is absolutely beautiful! My family felt like we were in a garden paradise! I highly recommend this location. We will be staying again someday!

This was by far the best B+B ever! Frank and Pam communicated promptly and were so friendly. The house had a great open layout with child proofing and children toys available upon request. Their dog is super friendly and gentle with children and greeted us when we got there. Their home is very private and quiet set far back from the road which really makes it feel like a relaxing vacation. Everything was within a half hour to drive to which was perfect. We will definitely come back!

Frank and Pamela were wonderful hosts! They welcomed us like we were family. The house was clean and comfortable. I especially loved the memory foam bed.

My friends and I came for an event that was taking place in the area. We wanted to have a nice area to go back to and relax once the event was over - the Carriage House was definitely that place. Frank stopped by with the pup to make sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable, and we did. It was a wonderful experience.

Frank and Pam introduced themselves shortly after our arrival. They were warmly welcoming and encouraged us to ask if we needed anything. Their place is very nice, well equipped and they provided the information we needed to make our stay and the use of their home comfortable. The grounds and area are beautiful and relaxing. There lovely home is the perfect place to stay while in Vancouver, WA.

Our family was able to gather for an evening retirement party and everything was perfect! The floor plan allowed for great flow, the extra fold-out tables made for a great buffet area, and we all were able to chat and mingle. Great, responsive host and many of our friends are looking to come back for their own visit.

Arthur's place is of course lovely. The dry sauna is a perfect way to end the evening before relaxing near the fireplace. We spent most of our time offsite for work. Arthur's communication was great, but i did expect certain amenities like coffee, laundry soap ect. for folks who have a multi day/week stay. Wifi is spotty, which was crucial for work, but we managed. The pool house does face into the main house with open windows, so privacy may be an issue for some, but Arthur and everyone was great to leave us to ourselves to enjoy our stay but prompt communication when needed.

We were a little disappointed after our stay. The wet sauna and tv did not work. We did not feel we had much privacy because there were no blinds or curtains on the windows except for the bedroom. I had asked ahead of time if I could have a small party because it was my birthday, but when we arrived, we were told that quiet hours were at 9:30pm and no alcohol was allowed. The rules posted on the walls were not posted in the original description at the time I booked this spot. So I ended up canceling my party out of respect of the owners. This is also a very religious environment which should have been in the description as well. I never would have booked this place if I knew this in advance.

Arthur was a great host! When we needed help, he was quick to respond. The whole place was gorgeous and we got to use the hot tub and grill. We will definitely be back one day!

I can't say enough about Renee. I was anxious as this was my first true experience, staying in someones home. She was warm, gracious, and welcoming. I stayed 4 days, as I was supporting hikers on the PCT trail. I would stay again in a heartbeat. She has a 5 bedroom home with all BR upstairs. Two BR are for airbnb guests and you share a BR, one BR is Renee's, and the other two BR are where she conducts her tutoring business. I was made most welcome to be downstairs, provided a shelf in the refrig and large shelf in the kitchen. Battle Ground was in close proximity to parks, hiking, Vancouver and Portland. Thank you Renee!

Renee is an absolute sweetheart. Her place is very quiet and cozy. And her pets are awesome! (Dog and Cat.) I had her dog sleep with me in my bed one night, haven't had that in ages it was awesome.

We unfortunately had a change of plans which precluded our staying with Renee. While I can't offer anything in the way of reviewing Renee's place, what I'm happy to review is the ease of communication with Renee. She was great at staying in touch and responding quickly as things changed. Based on our interactions and how responsive she was, I will book with her again in the future should the opportunity present itself.

Staying with Renee was absolutely wonderful and relaxing - I couldn't have conjured a better experience! The room had every amenity desired, including a travel toiletry selection. The bed was very comfortable and the house was set up quite nicely for enjoyment and ease of use. I was welcomed to use everything in the kitchen to cook and had free access to do laundry at my leisure. It was so comfortable and just like staying with an old friend. I will definitely stay again if I return to the area!

Renee does not know a stranger! Neither does her lovely lab, Grove. Renee was extremely friendly and welcoming and immediately made us feel right at home in her house. She loves to hear what her clients have done during the days that they are with her. And she shares some of her life also. By the time we left, we felt like we had known her for years—not just 3 days. Renee’s house is clean and very tidy; nothing ever was out of place. Her operation is very well-organized: we had our own shelf in the refrigerator and pantry and we were welcome to use any of the condiments she had on hand. She also volunteered that we were welcome to use her washer and dryer, which we did—after 2 sweaty days hiking on Mount St. Helens. We stayed in one of the 2 rooms that Renee rents out. Our bedroom was a tad small, but we made it work. The queen-size bed was most comfy. Our bedroom also contained a small refrigerator we could have used. We shared the large bathroom with the folks staying in the other room but it was never a problem. In fact, we never even saw them. On the third night of our stay, our son was with us and he was able to sleep on the couch in the family room for no additional fee—which was most gracious of Renee. In addition, the house is very conveniently located to shopping and eateries. Renee is, without a doubt, the “hostess with the mostest”!

Staying with Renee was great. She is very warm and welcoming and her house was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay with Renee again!

These people are without a doubt, some of the most accommodating and friendly individuals that my girlfriend and I have come across in our travels. As a touring musician, my hours can be very strange. David was completely understanding of this, and responded to me with "Come in anytime you want, I will leave the door open". The private room really IS private, and we were not disturbed once. We did have the joy of waking up to one of his children exclaiming "Yogurt!" outside of out door the first morning. That was an adorable way to start the day! They let me play their piano, which was a relief to me because I get very tense when I go for long periods of time without playing keys, and am only traveling with a guitar and ukulele. All in all, it was an extremely welcoming experience. I especially appreciated them putting out breakfast in the morning for us. I would absolutely recommend staying with this wonderful family!

We absolutely loved David's home! It was so clean and it just felt so cozy, whenever we are in the area we will definitely try to stay in his home again. Thank you David for being accessible and for opening the doors of your home to our family!

Very Good Place!

Very quiet & relaxing environment. Our mini family reunion was so special because we had a place to be together, eat, talk & play games.

I loved staying here! The roof does get low rather quickly so my 6'2 husband did bonk his head if he wasn't paying attention to the slope but other than that it was clean, private, and a nice refuge from a rainy day in portland. Jillian was so wonderful and sweet, I truly wish we had stayed there longer than we did because she was just so fun! I would recommend this place to everyone who wants a great place at a great price when traveling through that area.

Jillian was a great host. Very quiet and cozy loft. Especially cozy in winter.

Jillian was friendly, until I had a problem. Then she became passive-aggressive. Once I noticed the top comforter had a weird gross smell (it was subtle at first), I had to communicate it to her. She immediately replied that "wow," I am "extremely chemically sensitive!" Now, I am fairly sensitive, but there's no need to repeat it several times. She kept saying it in response to my questions and concerns. This made me want to cancel my reservation. I shortened my stay and left quickly. Jillian dragged her feet on accepting the modified dates. Defensiveness is not the way to resolve conflict... Who wouldn't mention a musty blanket once they noticed? Maybe you'll have a different experience. It was all fine until conflict arose.

Jillian's place was perfect for us, very private and well-equipped. There was always plenty of parking and the surrounding area was great. Thanks Jillian!

Jillian is a busy physician and author and a lovely person. She was very prompt in responding to all messages before and during the booking. Once I arrived she was hands-off and mostly unavailable. However, she has a part-time handyman who answered most questions and provided extra supplies. The upshot is that you will have a lot of privacy, which is a good thing. The loft is cozy, there is a skylight over the bed (which is suitable for one person only, but there is a spare mattress), the bathroom and cooking facilities are adequate, the property and surrounding neighborhood are great for walking, there is a food bank, an art supply store, a great coffeeshop, a yoga studio, a minimart, five upscale secondhand shops, and four restaurants within a half-block walk. Plus Jillian's natural apothecary is right there. I really enjoyed my stay. I can only begin to imagine how beautiful it would be in the spring or summer when Jillian's plants are in bloom.

This was the perfect place to stay after long days of adventure.

Jillian's place is great for several reasons. For one, you get a loft to yourself, which is really just a beautiful, private studio apartment. Everything you need is included. There is no oven, but a hot plate and a toaster oven were enough to prepare meals for our stay of a week. Jillian is very nice and helpful. We were given privacy during our stay, but had no trouble communicating when needed. She even asked her friends via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) if anyone she knew would be a model for my fiancé's technical interview at a hair salon! Very helpful, indeed. The location is convenient as well. A good amount of options for food and shopping are within walking distance. Portland is 30 to 45 minutes away depending on what part you're headed to, or whether it's a traffic-heavy time of day. I had a quiet place to prepare for interviews, and a relatively short drive to get to them. I would highly recommend Jillian's place to anyone for a stress-free and convenient stay. Would have stayed longer if I could have!

We loved the quiet loft in Battle Groud. The shops around there were awesome and it just has a beautiful feeling to it. We loved the people and all the green. Just gorgeous to drive around.

Stayed at Dana's place with my family for my son's Regatta on Vancouver Lake. It wasn't too far away and the drive was worth it. We were catering the weekend for his crew and families and the kitchen was a dream with everything you could imagine and then some. Hot tub was clean and we enjoyed a soak under clear sky with stars as far as you could see. Quiet neighborhood with lots of space. It was everything we expected plus Dana was great to work with - very responsive, accommodating and friendly. We'd go back for sure!

This is a great home if you are looking for country peace and quiet, it is perfect for children to play in the yard, and so much space for everyone. Great kitchen for cooking with a lot of people. The beds are a little soft, but I like a harder bed, so it is a personal preference. Dana is excellent at communicating with, we had an issue with the coffee pot and she fixed it right away. I would definitely stay here again.

We were blown away by the accommodations at the Brush Prairie country home. It was like staying in a mansion, which was a novelty that no one in our group had ever experienced. Our host, Dana, used to design custom houses as a career. This aptitude really shines through in the condition of the property. Clearly a lot of careful consideration and attention to detail went into the design of this magnificent home. Everything is neatly arranged, stocked, and well cared for. The location, while a little out of the way, is incredibly scenic and peaceful. I enjoyed watching the hawks circle over the meadows during my morning run. There is a small stream nearby with the soothing sound of running water that provides a soundtrack for relaxation. Even though I live in Portland, staying at this spot just a few miles from town made me feel like I was on a luxurious vacation. Thanks, Dana!
