  • Amazing place to enjoy some quiet time. Beautiful space inside and out. Will definitely be back

  • What a fantastic place and hosts to match! I stayed here when there were no leaves on the trees, no snow on the ground, and it was still stunning! It is the perfect place if you want to get away, breathe some fresh air, watch the sunset while sitting at the dining room table, and hear the birds singing in the morning. Cozy, comfortable and inviting <3 10/10 would stay again in a heartbeat! <3

  • A cozy must visit when in Chatham-Kent!

  • Really unique architecture and surrounding area. Had a colicky newborn and needed to get away for a last minute trip of fresh air. You can listen to lots of birds and see cute chipmunks running around. Thank you to the hosts for providing a lovely experience. We'd love to go back in the summer to make use of the pool!

  • Amazing host, friendly and welcoming. Communicated directions and check in details. The place was clean and stocked for us, little things like coffee, milk sugar etc. The views were great and such a peaceful retreat. Highly recommend to couples or singles.

  • Lisa’s place is extremely beautiful, a nice secluded area in the woods. The host was very lovely and accommodating. Would only recommend to not use google maps to find the place, you will get lost. Overall a very nice stay.

Tiny, cozy, rustic treehouse at the end of a rugged one-kilometre footpath: sleeping platform and woodstove inside; porch and hammock outside. Campfire pit with tripod grill on the riverbank. Appeals to leave-no-trace hikers/canoeists who look for time off the grid, who understand how to function sustainably and respectfully there, and enjoy being self-sufficient. Pricing: Weekend and holiday rates are higher than weekday.
Very quiet, very basic and private treehouse for 1 or 2 guests with suspension bridge and porch on the banks of the Sydenham River in Southwestern Ontario. Stargazing, birdwatching, a secluded getaway. More like camping than anything - no plumbing or electricity or wifi. We're talking backcountry camping, not car camping. You will need to walk (and carry in whatever you are bringing) approx 1 km from the road to the treehouse on a pretty but rough trail. Sturdy footwear is a must! The two-person sleeping platform (4 ft x 6 ft - you have to like each other a lot!) is cushioned with a mattress of 15 cm (6") gel memory foam, and made up with sheets, pillows, and extra blankets. There is a tiny woodstove (see photo) for winter. Wood is provided. We can lend you a camp stove (let us know when you book) to make your morning coffee and/or meals on the porch, or you can build a fire on the riverbank. Wood is provided for that, too, as well as a basic over-the-fire metal grill. There are camping bowls, plates, mugs, spoons, and a tea kettle in the treehouse for your use, and a couple of fire-blackened pans outside. Breakfast, if you choose and if we are home, is at the stone farmhouse on the property (1 km from the treehouse). It is usually homemade waffles. If we are not home, we will leave something basic, like instant oatmeal, for you in the treehouse. A shower (indoor or outdoor - outdoor is May to Oct) is available to you at the farmhouse, too. Towels are provided in the farmhouse bathroom. (See "guest access" below.) Your private bathroom, however, is a dry-composting outhouse (see photos) 200 metres from the treehouse. Dinner is cook-your-own at the treehouse, or can be had at the popular restaurant in the nearby (a walkable 2 km away) village any day but Monday or Tuesday. Plan to explore the riverbank on foot, or bring your bicycle for the country roads. Bring a canoe or kayak if you have one. Bring your fishing rod if you have an Ontario Fishing Licence. One note: In prolonged rainy weather the river can rise to the point where getting to and from the treehouse is difficult or even unsafe. We will let you know as soon as possible so that you can make the decision to cancel, reschedule, or stay based on your canoeing skills and tolerance for extremes. Rest assured we won't let you stay if it looks at all unsafe. You will get a refund, a reschedule, or a credit for a future stay. To see a winter video of the place by guests, search for "adventureconwards awesome treehouse for only".
Most of our guests just want some downtime away from the grid to nature-watch, canoe, read, stare primally into the campfire, that sort of thing. But for more: 3D's is a very popular restaurant in the village. It is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Florence Mill Inc. is the well-stocked hardware store. Nearest canoe/kayak rental place is The Crappie Store in Dresden. Nearest gasoline stations are in Moraviantown, Thamesville and Dresden. Nearest grocery stores are in Bothwell and Dresden. Nearby Alvinston (25 minutes away by car) has Armor's Alehouse, which is a craft beer pub and restaurant with music most weekends. It is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. We have listed the restaurants, museums, a provincial park, etc., in the online guidebook. There is a hardcopy version in the treehouse. This is a quiet, pretty and friendly area. Biking is easy.
  • Perfect little getaway for 1-2 people off the grid. Amazing place to unwind and Lawrene has got you covered with everything you need and more there. Will be back.

    Mackenzie2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • A truly memorable getaway trip! Lawrene and Harry were wonderful hosts who made our stay at the treehouse a very pleasant one. The treehouse was cozy, warm, quaint and rustic as described. From walking along the river, to sitting by the campfire, to gazing at the beautiful stars at night, the experience was indeed a magical one! Lawrene and Harry's treehouse exceeded all of our expectations! We will definitely be making our return in the near future.

    Filip2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our fourth visit and as lovely and charming as it was the first time we visited four years ago. Communication, cleanliness and hospitality are A+ We always enjoy our time at the treehouse and Harry & Lawrene's company over breakfast the next morning. Until next time!

    Amanda2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrene and Harry are wonderful hosts, great to communicate with, extremely accomodating, and both lovely individuals. They made our stay pleasant and easy! This location is stunning. A treehouse, suspended over a river, surrounded by forests and fields. Walking up to the house feels like you are passing through 4 different fairy tale locations. While it does get quite muddy down there, the walk is pleasant and the scenery is great. Lawrene and Harry have left so many nice touches at the cabin, it feels very homey despite its small size. This is the perfect place for those who love to be surrounded by nature. I hope to visit again soon.

    Matthew2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy little cabin! Everything you would need was provided! Lots of board games to play! The place was simply perfect, the wood stove kept us very warm, we had a great night sleep. We’ll definitely be back to this perfect spot in the summer months

    Kevin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay! One of a kind experience!

    Brandy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrene’s treehouse was a one of a kind experience. The treehouse is very cozy, even in -20, the wood stove heats it up in no time. Lawrene was very quick to respond to our request for extra wood on our second day. The site is picturesque and entirely secluded. The outhouse was very clean. Highly recommend this experience.

    Sarah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful getaway. Everything was as described. Sleeping bag was a great suggestion for winter guests. Lawrene was fantastic in responding to us and making us feel welcomed. She was super accommodating to reschedule our trip last minute when the initial date showed a forecast of heavy rain and flooding. She even ensured that we weren’t charged for the new rate. Now that we have experienced the winter wonderland, we are very much looking forward to a summer time experience! Things we would do differently when we return: make sure our dog has conquered his fear for bridge and steep stairs lol would pack lighter so less trips carrying things back/forth to the car (about 1km per description) - and more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery! Love the riverbank right next to the treehouse. The treehouse was small but nice and cozy for two. Bandaids, books, games, tea/instant coffee and extra tap water for emergency was a thoughtful touch. You will be completely off grid and not see a single soul during the stay - it’s fantastic. Thank you, Lawrene and Harry. - Rebecca and David

This is a basic but comfortable spare bedroom in a stone farmhouse on a quiet SW Ontario gravel road. Activities are few, wifi is seriously limited, and the shared (not in your room) TV is antenna-only. We have no air conditioning. The house has only one bathroom. **We have closed until July, but will consider bookings by essential workers who need to be in the area and need a place to stay. Use the Contact Host link to get in touch. Thanks for understanding!**
This is really a just-in-case listing. We have a treehouse that has become quite popular, but then had requests for space in the farmhouse when a bed for the night is more important than a camping experience. This is not a tourist destination. You will want to book only because you need to be in the area for some reason. Everything is shared, except your bedroom of course. That's all yours.
This is not a tourist area at all, but there are a few things the locals like: 3D's is a very popular restaurant in the village. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Florence Mill Inc. is the well-stocked hardware store. Nearest canoe/kayak rental place is The Crappie Store in Dresden. Nearest gasoline stations are in Moraviantown, Thamesville and Dresden. • Outstanding hospitality and very stylish country home. We had an amazing experience and very enjoyable breakfast. Thanks for having us. Also check out 3D’s down the street for yummy chicken wings and pizzas !

  • Lawrene's place is perfect for those who are driving through and need a place to stay. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. It was nice to sit on the patio in the evening to read and watch the sunset. She was very accomodating and even made us a nice breakfast for the following morning. We also got to see her airbnb treehouse which looks like a fun place to stay too if you are looking for a camping adventure!

    Jessie2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a wonderful setting in a quiet area. And in great company.

    Dave2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrence’s home was truly a hidden gem. What an eclectic quaint spot in a rural town. She was extremely hospitable from the moment we arrived and fed us an unlimited amount of delicious home cooked waffles with local strawberries. We then went canoeing on the river in a nearby area about 15 mins away. So glad we stopped in. This home is one in a million such a well thought out very unique home. Love it

    Bailey2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrene's place was super relaxing and surrounded by nature. I loved the beautiful hand-made decorative touches in the room. Lawrene and her husband are wonderful and helpful people, and we had some interesting conversations. I had an awesome stay!

    Julia2019-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrene and Harry are very warm and welcoming. The room and home in general we're impeccably clean. The room had cool decor with some ancient looking cross country skis and old snow shows on the wall, and a cool incandescent bulb hanging from the ceiling which was great for reading in bed. The place felt like a high class log cabin/cottage. 10/10 would recommend. Great breakfast too 👍

    Phillip2018-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • She makes great waffles :D very cute cottage tucked away. we might try out her tree house next time we're passing through.

    Christy2018-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was in a quiet countryside location. Lawrene waited for us even though we had a late arrival. The house was quaint and clean. We loved the waffle and coffee breakfast. The location was easy to find even with limited service at night. We would definitely stay again, and recommended it to anybody in that area!

  • Margaret is very welcoming. Her home was charming and welcoming. Lots of space & we would come again!

    Ruth2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really lovely BnB in an OLD house in a beautiful small town Ontario setting. Margaret, the host, was easy to contact and very responsive. The booking and exchange of information were perfect. We traveled in December in Ontario, on a cold, damp day and the house was well lit, easy to find and toasty warm when we arrived late in the evening. We had everything that we needed and more. The host has thought of everything! Hope to have the chance to stay with you again.

  • First time ever using air b&b, didn’t know what to expect. Things were easy, the hosts were welcoming and the stay was perfect. I’d recommend and stay again if the opportunity presents.

  • Gary's place is absolutely awesome. We were greeted right outside the gate, given a wonderful tour of the cabin and the surrounding woods. Gary is very intelligent and taught us many things while on our tour. He loves nature and it truly shows. The cabin is very cute and cozy, we were provided with everything we needed. Gary went out of his way to check on us and communicate when needed. This was definitely a weekend well spent away from the city. The cabin and surrounding acres are so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended!!

    Chelsea2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I recently stayed at Mulberry Meadows and very much enjoyed our visit. Gary was away when we arrived so he had good friends greeted us on arrival. They gave us a very enjoyable and thorough orientation to the cabin and facilities. The cabin is clean, simple, and equipped with everything you need for spending time off the grid. the adjacent shed contains a neat solar panel/battery setup which provides lighting as well as the shower, which is supplied from a tank on the roof heated by the sun. The outhouse is a few minutes’ walk from the cabin. We spent time on the deck reading, talking, listening to the wind rustle the London Plane Tree and the tallgrass prairie grasses, watching the goldfinches swoop and the clouds float by. When the mood struck us we strolled the paths cut through the prairie, checking out the wildlife and the plants. Having planted some of our small property we have a lot of interest in native/naturalized landscapes so this was a real treat. We highly recommend 3-D Restaurant’s deluxe pizza. We ordered the large; be advised that it fed us more than once! Mulberry Meadows is a quiet and wonderful retreat from the world of cars, internet, constant electronic stimulation. We definitely plan to return.

    Andrew2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • I can only echo the other reviews-its beautiful!!! But here are a few tips. Make sure you take Gary up on his offer of a tour. Fascinating. Take the time to sit very quietly at the pond around dusk. The muskrats will come quite close. If you sit quietly on the porch you will see a large variety of birds, butterflies and insects. We had a hummingbird visit several times. The pizza at the local restaurant is awesome. Ruby's in Dresden (sp? ) is outstanding for breakfast. There really is everything you need at the cottage - paper products, cooking utensils etc. The cooler is small. If you are planning on cooking I would recommend bringing an additional cooler. The sleeping loft fits a double air mattress. It's quite comfy. But if you are really tall It might pose a problem since it's under an A style roof. Had a great time. Would definitely go back.

    Nikki2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • An awe inspiring experience! If you have the pleasure and opportunity to stay at Mulberry Meadows say YES! if Gary offers to take you on a walk! We are so impressed with the wonderful, natural paradise that has been cultivated at Mulberry Meadows! We especially enjoying the concert put on by the frogs and fireflies as soon as the sun went down.

    Renata2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful. Idyllic. Secluded. Quaint. Mulberry Meadows is exactly what you need to disconnect from day-to-day life and recharge your spirit in the beautiful wild flower meadow, listening to bullfrogs, and enjoy the unencumbered view of the stars.

    Lorraine2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a real nature retreat in the country, this is it! Woods, ravine, meadows with tall grass prairie, diversity of trees and plants, birdlife, pond complete with bullfrog chorus and muskrats and a friendly little village down the road within walking distance. Unique cabin well outfitted to meet your needs. Warning..Loft bed is up a ladder but if these two seniors can do it, you can too! Gary met us, gave us a tour and history of the property and answered all our questions. Thanks so much for a great get away!

    Susan2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mulberry Meadows is the perfect place if you want to spend some time in nature. The grounds are beautiful and the cabin was better than I expected. Gary has obviously put his heart and soul into the place. He has taken the effort to include all the little things you could possibly need. I highly recommend staying at Mulberry Meadows.

    Nicole2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Spent an unforgettable Canada day weekend at Gary’s cabin. If you’re craving for nature, this is a must go. Every touch at this place is very well designed. Gary is a wonderful and thoughtful host. Strongly recommend.

There is a No Frills in the next town over which is about 13 minutes away! Do you have a boat? It can come, as there is tons of space for your trailer on our property and different launching sites in Lambton Shores. Do you have more than 3 cars? That's not a problem either there is ample space for everyone! Are you an animal lover like us? Don't leave your beloved pets behind, bring them along with you! Our backyard is fully fenced in with plenty of room for them [and you or the kids] to run around! Please visit the town's website to see any upcoming events you may like to be a part of! https://brookealvinston.com/ The Space: This is our cozy 2 story country home, where 7 people can sleep comfortably. A little more than 7 of you? Our basement is unfinished, therefore, if you need to bring air mattresses there is room for them down there as well. Sleeping arrangements: The master bedroom is located on the 2nd floor has a comfy queen size and a single bed. The second bedroom also on the 2nd floor is a little more intimate as it has one queen size bed. The third bedroom is located on the main floor and has one queen size bed in there as well. We offer wifi, and have a TV equipped with an HDMI cord if you feel like hanging inside for a movie night, please keep in mind there is no cable here, so please bring a laptop, or some sort of device to connect to the tv, there is unlimited wifi! The Kitchen table sits 4 and our kitchen has everything our guests would need to prepare delicious meals for friends and family, however, if you love to spice up your food, our spices are limited. The great outdoors: As mentioned earlier we have a lot of space, so as soon as you walk out of the kitchen to the back of the house you will step out onto a beautiful deck; where you will then find the BBQ. Explore a little deeper into the backyard and you will find our firepit with a few chairs, however, if there are more than 6 guests, we suggest bringing camping chairs! We hope you enjoy yourselves here as much as we do! Amanda and Luca

When there are no guests this is used as a working artists viewing room. The works are used to decorate the suite and change as new works become available. When the suite is rented it becomes your own private gallery as the walls are hung extensively with the professional artist/owners works. Sit back, relax and contemplate other ways of being in the world of Art that you don't get in a public Art space. Have a question? William is always happy to talk of Art and it's place in our civilizations.
The suite is currently heated electrically. I have newly added a dehumidifier because one guest thought it may be a bit humid. I had not had a complaint before this and have not had one since. Would rather not take a chance. Also new, is a fan for the bedroom, along with a computer workspace and a tv with HDMI cable so guests can stream to the tv from their laptops through the free wifi, As well, I now have a fridge and microwave for the bar area. New in November 2019 is a prep table small convection oven and covered electric fry pan.
This is a very small Ontario town, quiet and peaceful. However, there is a home-style restaurant right next door that is open year round. The Mary Webb Centre which is a monthly concert space, is a two-minute walk from the Airbnb. https://marywebbcentre.ca The gallery which represents 58 district artists is open every Thursday and Saturday afternoon from 1 to 4 and during every other event.
  • Exceeded expectations - good sized living room, kitchenette well stocked (coffee maker, fridge, etc). Great wall art throughout by William, the home artist who was very accommodating. We'd book again. :)

  • William’s place in Highgate was perfect after a long day’s bike ride. He showed me around his property including his studio and backyard which featured gold finches, cardinals, blue jays, morning doves, and many other birds. He gave me a little gift for my travels which I now keep in my pocket for good luck! Thanks William!

  • William welcomed us really kindly. In case of emergency, he explained in detail all the guidelines. Thanks again to William for providing a cozy and comfortable place.

A modern retro retreat on a historical highway. A fully renovated vintage mobile home sits on a large lot with fruit trees & flower beds, miniature horses & goats graze in the pasture behind. The home is light & bright, bask in the warmth of the sunroom while gazing across fields to Lake Erie or enjoy the covered gazebo on the backyard patio for privacy.
There is a roomy driveway where you can easily park a vehicle pulling a small boat or trailer.
A few minutes walk to one of Chatham-Kents most interesting attractions, an 8 sided barn that was carefully reconstructed on site. Enjoy lunch, a walk through the gardens or a browse through the gift shop. We're just 10 minutes from historic Ridgetown featuring homes rich with victorian architecture. A short drive down the highway will bring you to Clearville Park where you can access a boat ramp, play park and swimming. Our own home is one of the few examples of fieldstone houses in the area from the early 1800's. We have been renovating it bit by bit over the past 25 years and always love to talk about what it's like living in a stone house.

This unique space is located in the renovated hall of a beautiful heritage church project. Two bedrooms, a great space for relaxing and eating as well as a fun, full kitchen for food prep., a large bathroom with new shower, and a "thinking/meditating/work study" will provide a comforting getaway half way between London and Windsor and 10 min. from Rondeau Provincial Park. Totally original! Basic food items will be provided for breakfast prep. Available by the night or week. Pure and Simple.
This former Methodist church is now privately owned and is being lovingly restored. Located 10 min. from Rondeau Provincial Park and public beaches, Ridgetown and University of Guelph and Blenheim - it affords access to small town shopping and lots of recreation. Maps and packages provided. Just off the historic Talbot Trail.
Morpeth is a small village located just off Highway 3/Talbot Trail. Historically its location was considered excellent as it is close to Rondeau and Lake Erie. With the advent of rail, Morpeth is now a blink, but still retains an excellent location for vacationers, birders, and cyclists to stop and pause on their way West toward Windsor and Pelee Island or East to London as it is located halfway between these cities.
  • Amazing to have a stay in a church building. Patricia goes over and above anyone else to make sure that you have everything that you need to enjoy your stay. The overhaul from a church to a residence is amazing.

    David2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Churchill was amazing. Patricia is doing a beautiful job of restoring this historic old church, and the guest suite downstairs is just lovely. It is spacious and beautifully appointed: a good-sized dining table and chairs, as well as a kitchen bar counter with stools; a large sofa and a smaller one; several other comfy chairs; and plenty of extra blankets and quilts to snuggle up in. The kitchen is equipped for making just coffee or tea, or a full dinner for the family. The beds are comfortable and warm, and there is plenty of very hot water. The whole place has a delightful feel to it, warm and welcoming. Patricia left thoughtful little touches here and there, and overall, we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our children said she should get 25,000 stars! - There are a couple of steps down into the suite, and a couple up into the bathroom, so it would not be suitable for very elderly/frail people or wheelchairs; and the beds are not king beds; but our family of four was very comfortable. We loved it! Highly recommended, obviously.

    Damian2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • It is a nice big space. Great for a small family or friends. Nice kitchen with thoughtful touches. There was a Christmas tree up while we were there which just made the place extra welcoming. 10 mins to a small town with a good little grocery/shoppers drug mart/restaurants/banks. We didn't get to meet Patricia but she was incredibly responsive with communication and was super helpful. We hope to say hello next time :).

    Diana2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia did a super job making us welcome. She met us for the check in and showed us around. The Churchill is a large comfortable place. The photos really don’t do it justice. The Christmas tree and other decorations were a lovely touch. Patricia had even left a sweet home baked treat for us to enjoy. The location was perfect for us since we had family within walking distance, but would be great for birders, too. Comfortable bed, some lovely antique touches and plenty of food for breakfast just made it better. Our stay was only for one night, but it would be a great spot for an extended visit.

    Sherry2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Churchill is positively fabulous. We stopped in for a night on a road trip, and though it was a short stay, it was outstanding. Patricia is a wonderful and thoughtful host, and everything exceeded our expectations. This space is so cozy, spacious, and peaceful. We had our instruments with us, and playing music in the choir room was a real treat! We’re looking forward to visiting again, for longer!

The apartment is attached to my house. It is fully self contained, with its own kitchen and bathroom. It is located a few minutes outside of Glencoe, Ontario, Canada. It is on a 5 acre lot, with barns and pastures. The apartment is quiet and in the beautiful countryside, and has the best sunsets. It is a place of peace and relaxation.
Peaceful setting, for relaxation and a getaway to a country setting.
Getting around and Restaurant Guide for Glencoe. From Country Suite, go left out of driveway, to first stop sign. Turn left again, then right a country mile down. Or go straight over tracks turning left. Glencoe has several restaurants to choose from. The Red Rooster which is on the Main street, it is very popular for its lunch menu, the Wicked Wok is the local Chinese food restaurant. If you are looking for Pizza, Pizza Picasso and Godfather Pizza are the options. If your looking for a small town home cooking, there is the Embassy Restaurant at the corner of Main street and Glendon Drive, which, by the way is beside the Subway Restaurant. Then further down the street is the Palace Restaurant. There is a LCBO off Main Street, on McKellar Street, going west, first stop sign. Two Grocery stores, Foodland, and No Frills.
  • Very nice and quiet place to stay. I would recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area.

  • Needed a place to stay on last minute to see family. Rhonda is hands down one of the nicest hosts I have come across, she physically goes out to meet and greet and then truly made me feel at home. She has a set of friendly dogs as well. Overall the apartment was big and super clean and she even had a stock of DVDs to select from as well. I could easily come back and stay many more nights.

  • We had a great experience with my husband in the beautiful and cozy log cabin. Mike is very friendly host who cooks good breakfasts for us. Having fireplace was awesome! A lot of vintage things are filled the cabin. It is like a museum! Lovely furniture and all details. Very nice location - in the middle of nowhere what we needed - to have a rest from city life. Not far from - around 40 min to drive from lake Erie ad lake Huron, it was very good for us - we could walk and enjoy nature. Highly recommended if you want to have a retreat!

    Yulia2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The space itself is full of antiques and fun decoration. Very cosy and warm around the gas fireplace. Mike is full of tips on local things to do and seems genuinely interested in hosting guests. Overall, a great stay!

It was so relaxing and in the middle of nowhere, with lots of old school things inside that we absolutely loved! Mike and his family were very welcoming and let us know of a few places to check out for our photography which was an extra bonus. Highly recommend!

Our cottage is surrounded by Carolinian forests and is perched by a cliff, which offers gorgeous and unique views of Great Lake Erie. Hike 5 minutes down a ravine to a private beach that's bursting with fossils, beach glass, and semi-precious stone. Bring some fishing rods or swim and tan on a totally private beach. Keep your eyes open for the family of bald eagles living in the trees above the water. Enjoy our firepit, lawn chairs, deck, bbq, and our pond bursting with fish and frogs
Visit the famous heritage Crazy 8 Barn Cafe, where fresh treats, home-cooked meals, and wifi can be enjoyed. Just one minute away. Rondeau Provincial Park is located just 10-15 minutes away, where you can enjoy easier beach access, bars, restaurants, hiking trails and more. Clearville Park is just 5 minutes away. They have a wonderful park for children, a boat ramp, and an ice cream shop. Do all your grocery shopping and errands in Ridgetown, a quaint town located just 10 minutes from the cottage.
  • Bobbi, the caretaker, will make you feel right at home. Take advantage of the fire pit outside if you can!

    Rene2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • I HIGHLY recommend this Airbnb. We had such a lovely stay. The cottage was cozy and spacious. The location was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. I have to give a HUGE shoutout to the property’s caretaker, Bobbi, and her two awesome dogs Gus and Pip! They made us feel right at home while still giving us plenty of space to ourselves. We already can’t wait to visit again and hope to make it a yearly excursion! 10/10

    Maddie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is magical in its peaceful atmosphere. The property is amazing. The trek down to the beach is certainly an adventure in itself and brought out our inner child! Our actual children loved it too. The kids loved catching frogs and discovering new bug species.. not to mention the tree swing and the hammocks. The views were gorgeous and watching the Eagles were a special treat. The groundskeeper, Bobbi, is so lovely and friendly! The dogs are sweethearts and will greet you as you come in! We enjoyed every minute of our R&R! The cottage is well appointed and has nearly everything you need.. and when you need something you can't find, Bobbi is there to save the day. We had 6 adults, 2 children, and 2 babies during our stay and we were comfortable and not cramped at all. We came home full of memories and so relaxed. We cannot wait to return! This is a very special place!

    Monica2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much to Franny & Bobbi for a beautiful stay. Our kids didn’t want to leave. It’s a perfect getaway for a family with the climbing tree, pond with frogs, the kids also especially liked the sparklers Bobbi has saved for kids to enjoy!

    Emma2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • I just got back from 5 days at Franny's cottage with my family, and it was by far one of the best vacations we have ever taken together. The space is absolutely perfect, and one of the most peaceful places we have ever been. Although the cottage was incredible, what makes it really special is Bobby. From the little touches that she does to make your stay wonderful, to the beautiful soul that she is - we would go back just to see her again. She is the perfect host that gives you all the space you want so that you would barely even know that she's there if you want your privacy...but we wouldn't let her because we just enjoyed her company so much!!! Thank you Franny and Bobby for a fantastic vacation!!!

    Sara2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED our time at this cottage. It was peaceful, easy, family-friendly (even for sometimes hard to please teens) and so charming. We felt like part of Bobbi’s family and fell in love wIth both dogs, especially Gus!! We’d return as soon as we could!!

    James2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing location. Great host in Franny and Bobbi, beautiful and roomy house, and just lovely dogs. Bobbi is super helpful and always around for anything we might need or tips about the local area. Everything is clean and the kitchen is very fully equipped. I've never seen my dog so happy in the 2 years I've had him! Just lovely! 10/10 will be back!

    Cindy2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this cottage was absolutely delightful! The lake was unusually high, so we didn’t get to use the beach much, but it was still a fun climb down to see the beach, and the view from above was pretty. The pond and surrounding landscape is beautiful. Bobbi was delightful and fun to talk to and the 2 resident dogs, Pip and Gus, were friendly and sweet. Bobbi added some special touches like fresh wildflower vases in the house and on the porch, or setting up a campfire for us. Our dog enjoyed running freely in the yard and our kids had a lot of fun watching the fish in the pond and catching a bunch of bullfrogs! The cottage is in the quiet countryside, pretty much removed from everything, but you can still get to the grocery store, restaurants, or antique shops within a short drive. If you’re looking for a place to relax, “get away from it all” and enjoy nature, this place is a gem!

  • Thank you to Ruth and Arn who opened their home to us. Our weekend here was a true bed and breakfast experience, with cosy rooms and amazing homecooked meals. The place was very clean and Ruth's attention to detail made us feel right at home. They provided us with a great getaway from the city, and would be an enjoyable place to take in the countryside, whether in the summer or in the fall. Will definitely recommend!

    Felix2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth and Arn's home was immaculately clean and tidy and they welcomed us like family. We chose to include dinner on the evening we arrived, as we had been driving all day. I'm so glad we did, as the meal was beyond all expectations. We had roast chicken (raised on their farm) with all kinds of sides, including homemade bread. It was absolutely delicious! What a treat to have a home-cooked meal upon arrival. In the morning Ruth prepared an incredible full breakfast, and then took us around the farm to interact with all their many animals. Our two-year old had such fun feeding the goats, bunnies, chickens, ducks, and even got to ride on a miniature horse! The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, with a full kitchen (we didn't use it, as we took two delightful meals upstairs with Ruth and Arn), and private bathroom. There is a crib in one of the bedrooms, as well as some toys and books. The space couldn't have been cleaner. We highly recommend this farm and will be back if we are out that way again. If you have young children, book this Airbnb! You will not be disappointed.

  • Great place for a getaway and super close to the beach!

    Baljit2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay— close to beaches and the zoo. Sadia was a gracious host and left a sweet little welcome gift upon our arrival. There were additional accessories a single for a small fee on site in case you forgot something st home. The rooms were nice and spacious and the home felt cozy. We were advised to bring our own firewood for the bonfire and charcoal for the bbq however it rained all weekend so we didn’t have much chance to use either. We requested an early check in and sadia was kind enough to accommodate us. We will definitely come back.❤️ Thank you

  • Outstanding experience. Great communication, awesome property, and very close to the beach. Perfect for young kids and adults. Host is excellent. Definitely recommend

  • It was a home, away from home:) Spacious, clean, very cozy and well decorated house. We spend 5 days there, and had everything we needed. Has a big backyard, fire pit, LOTS of outside chairs for the deck and backyard. Lots of beaches around and an amazing zoo around the corner that kids really enjoyed. Sadia has been great to deal with and replies very quick. We’ll be definitely coming back.

  • Very nice rooms, modern furnishings.

    Brienn2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The host responded quickly and provided information as detail as possible. The house is a bungalow with two rooms on the ground floor and two in the basement. The house was clean when we checked in. However, we had a water heater problem. The host came from Toronto to deal with it on the same date when we reported the problem and partially refunded us when he couldn't fix it to compensate for our inconvenience. Morpeth is a small town and we stayed there on the way to Point Peele National Park.

Our place is close to Wardsville golf and country club, yacht charters, fishing charters, nature walks, the beach. We offer guided mindfulness meditation retreats and silent retreats. We will host your small private gatherings. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the people, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, private party get togethers and furry friends (pets).
We have a large home with 3 bedrooms for you or your group to enjoy. Our rate is per room.
  • Sam and Sher are amazing genuine people and incredible hosts. They made our stay incredibly enjoyable with great conversation and were so accommodating to our dietary needs. We really enjoyed using their hot tub and jet tub. The bed we slept in was very comfortable too! We definitely plan to be back.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Sam and Sher. They are very friendly and easy going. It was a real pleasure to meet them. Added to that, i felt very good in their house as they put a lot of attention into little details to create an harmonious place. I definitely recommend :-)

  • Sam & Sher`s place was a gem in a region that had little to offer for accommodations. Their home is a mixture of country and modern, very spacious, and with specific areas just for guests. We stayed for 5 nights. We did not feel intrusive, and felt very comfortable to make use of all facilities. We especially loved the heated floors throughout, super comfy bed, big screen TV`s...and the indoor hot tub!! But more importantly, Sam & Sher were the nicest hosts you could ask for. We would definitely book again if we were to visit the region again, and highly recommend their home for any one or group of visitors.

  • Thank you Sam and Sher, our stay was awesome! You made us feel extremely welcome and provided us with everything we needed and more. Cooking breakfast was an added bonus that we really appreciated. Loved the area and would definitely come back again!

  • We weren’t sure what to expect from a little town, but everything is close by. A corner store with a Subway and the quaint downtown. Betty and George were very friendly people, and they take pride in keeping their place tidy! The beds were comfortable, and the backyard was beautiful! Little things like ice cream were left for us, a welcome thought for the heat Southern Ontario had. Well worth the money spent. I’d stay here again!

  • A great place to stay! We were birding in Rondeau Provincial Park all weekend and the location was perfectly situated to get there early every morning. Betty's place was very clean and provided all of the amenities that we needed to prepare breakfast/ lunch for the day and dinners in the evening. Betty was on point with communication and provided very fast response time. The snacks and drinks provided upon arrival were a lovely touch. I would stay here again. Thanks Betty and George!
