Stayed due to being so close to Cartmel Grange care home where my dad was a resident. It was so convenient and close. The apartment was lovely, quite, clean and private. Andrew was incredibly accommodating letting me book day by day as needed and providing additional bedding for my brother to stay as well. Andrew provided lots of coffee and basics which was a really big help. I had no problems parking and it's such a short walk to shops, cafes and amminaties. Highly recommended this place. Andrew is an amazing and caring host.

This apartment is made up of a large bedroom/seating area, kitchenette area and bathroom and for an overnight business trip it was perfect to bridge my otherwise long drive. Very comfortable.

Andrew was very pleasant and accommodating as we arrived slightly later than expected (and later than the advertised check in time). He also kindly let me borrow an iron and ironing board. It was a very nice experience and I would stay there again.

Staying here was great, the apartment has everything we had hoped for and more. The location is superb, within a very short walking distance of supermarkets and the beautiful promenade, and parking was simple. Tim was an excellent host. We felt at home within minutes and how could we feel otherwise, the flat is one of the most charming you'll stay in. Tim had some great suggestions for day trips and was available any time we had questions. He gave speedy replies by text and phone to give us the best directions around the Lake District. Even though we were a bit late arriving to Ulverston, Tim was there waiting for us. He showed us around the clean and cozy apartment. It has a wonderful kitchen space. The living room had a small electric fireplace which warmed up the living room nicely when it turned cool after the sun had set. The bed was very comfortable. It's location is handy to local shops and restaurant. Ulverston is a lovely town. I would definitely book this apartment again if I was in Ulverston in the future.

Tim and Elaine are fabulous, thoughtful hosts. They even emailed links to websites so we were able to be well prepared for our visit to the Lakes District. Ulverston is a great town to base yourself in if you have a car, it is full of good restaurants, pubs and shops...not touristy and the locals are very friendly. The apartment is just perfect, spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean.....and right in the heart of town. We were warmly met by Tim when we arrived and immediately felt at home......thanks heaps Tim and Elaine....we can't wait to return.

Communication with Tim was before and during the stay excellent. Tim met us personally showed us the property and offered advice on shopping, visiting pubs and attractions. This was a very nice reception, which has helped that we have felt ourselves very well. The house was just right for us on the size and amenities. Shops, cafes and pubs are within walking distance and Ulverston is a good starting point for exploring the Lake District. We liked it very well and we have firmly resolved to come back again.

We had a wonderful time staying at Town View and would recommend it to anyone. Tim was very good at making sure we had everything we needed and was available to answer any queries that arose. We stayed for 3 nights in August so we could meet up with friends and family. I grew up in the area so know the town pretty well. You can't really fault the location of the apartment as it is so central. Everything is within minutes from the front door, whether its pubs, restaurants, supermarkets or a splendid view, so all very easy. Our little boy was very much taken with the view of Hoad monument out the back, particularly at night when it is lit up. He also dragged my up there a couple of times too (well worth it actually!).

If you want to be in the heart of the town then this is the place for you. There is visitor parking but those closest are always occupied so loading and unloading has to be done on double yellow lines but that applies to town centers everywhere.

Cartmel is an amazing little village and the location and room didn't disappoint. The let was very cute, quiet and had a comfortable bed.

Tiree's house is tiny but great and Cartmel is lovely, we really enjoyed our stay. Tiree left plenty of information on the house and suggestions of what to do in the area, would definitely recommend.

The place is micro (as named) but don't let this turn you off, it's so quirky and full of character! You can tell A LOT of thought went into the interior design. I can't forget to mention the location, Cartmel! Great little village with most of the amenities you want!

All seamlessly perfect....and as a designer I understood and appreciated the care and detail which went into the microflat. The location is just great...Cartmel wonderful especially the Priory. And why didn't I know that Cartmel is one of the foodie centres of the universe?

This is an excellent place to stay. In fact I'll say I had the best experience I've had on AirBnB. Paul is an excellent fellow - you can tell immediately - and you are sure to have a great time staying with him. I'll need to go back and do some walking in Barrow - and maybe have another couple of pints with Paul. The room is quirky and comfortable with everything you need plus some great views. I parked right outside the front door and the area seemed safe. That's it really, many thanks to Paul - I'll be back.

Paul is an exceptional host who went the extra mile for me and my guests. One of us was extremely sick and Paul went as far as booking us a Dr's appointment and then occupying the other guest with a personal tour of the lakes! He also picked us up from the train station and dropped us off when it was time to leave, without us having to ask! He is a brilliant guy and will definitely be returning to his flat for another stay in Dalton in the future. The flat is very accommodating and the view from the top is beautiful. It is very cozy and spacious as well. Very true to the pictures and post. he is also a great resource for great places to dine, places to see, and things to do. Paul instantly made me feel welcome by showing me round his place, and making sure he answered all my questions. A really nice bloke, happy to chat or to leave you alone, whichever is your preference. I was staying 3 nights on business, so it was good to know that I could use washing machine, fridge etc if I needed to. The room looks exactly like it is in the picture with its own microwave and kettle, and was a very nice area to spend evenings in. Nice views over the rooftops of the town and gets plenty of natural light. The neighbourhood was fine, very handy for the leisure centre and just a couple of strides to local restaurants. All in all, a most enjoyable stay.

Paul offers more of an apartment than a just bedroom, with a kitchenette area and a lounge / living area. Nicely furnished and comfortable, and I enjoyed my stay there. Paul is very friendly and helpful. I am sure that I will stay there again. Many thanks!

The room is a spacious top floor room with a great view, next to the center of the town! Lots of great hikes and views are just a short drive away! But the best part of our stay was the host. Paul really made us feel welcome and made sure we had the best time! He showed us around town and where we could do some good hikes around the lakes. He even brought us there. We loved our stay there and it was a shame we were only traveling through, would have loved to stay longer.

Deborah and her husband are charming hosts and the bothy is in the most beautiful setting, which you can't fully appreciate from the pictures. Deborah and David are wonderful hosts! Their house in the middle of the natural reserve is amazing and the Bothy is a cosy and warm place wonderfully designed with all comforts in direct touch with the surrounding nature. Staying at Deborah and David place exceeded all the expectations we had, having the possibility to stay comfortably in the middle of nature, to walk around close to the deer and just a few miles from some of the main attractions and trails of the lake district. I strongly encourage to stay at this fairy location to enjoy the calmness of high hay bridge and the exquisite hospitality of Deborah and David!

We had a wonderful few days staying at The Bothy. Our hosts were very welcoming and made it clear they were happy to help or advise as needed. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. It was lovely to have some food provided too on arrival. Highly recommended.

The Bothy was an amazing place to stay and in a great location for the Southern Lakes. It was cosy and the nature reserve was beautiful and we saw a deer outside our bedroom window! We didn't meet Deborah but David was very helpful and friendly and the welcome pack was lovely with homemade biscuits and bread. We are already planning on staying again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Penny Bridge! The flat is perfect, a clean well-equipped kitchen, clean bathroom, comfy bed and nice living room. The hand soap in the bathroom is divine as well! The area is beautiful, close enough to amenities yet still feels like a secluded getaway. Laura was a great host, very accomodating and helpful. She communicated with us right up to the beginning of our stay, making finding the place easy. She also gave us some wonderful tips and information on the local area, and some beautiful walks that we were able to do. Would highly recommend staying here! :)

We had a fantastic time in Ulverston, in an ideal location near to the sea and the lakes. Ulverston has its own history, with places to visit. For a small town it has an amazing variety of different restaurants. Amigos being one of our favourite. The apartment had the 'WOW' factor, beautifully kept with all the amenities that we needed. Sukanyna's flat is a perfect base for exploring the Cumbrian coast and hills, and with easy access to the main lakes, Cumbrian towns and Cartmel race course. It's also walking distance to the centre of quaint Ulverston. The flat's parking space is very handy and secure and you can park very close to the entrance for carrying luggage. The flat is very spacious, exceptionally clean, comfortable and well-appointed, quiet, private and with plenty of hot water, two showers and a separate bath. Everything is a very high standard and works perfectly. All the arrangements for arrival and departure worked perfectly. Sukanyna was very helpful with my questions and responded swiftly to these. We had a very relaxing, perfect break in this flat and will definitely stay here again if the flat is available. Thank you! Elaine

Jackie's place is absolutely beautiful! Clean, cozy and modern while still maintaining the historic finishes and touches. We loved walking along the footpath (in the boots Jackie let me borrow -- thanks!) and hearing birds chirping, cows mooing and sheep baaahing. It was so serene and peaceful -- everything we wanted in an English countryside stay! You will love Jackie's place, and Jackie, too! Our conversations were wonderful and we really enjoyed everything about our stay!

Jackie and her best friend Gem (her lovely dog) are super hosts! The well equipped flat was lovley and warm. Jackie also kindly showed us her beatiful garden and her lovley goats. My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed staying in Jackie's attic flat. Very comfortable with all you need for a self catering break. Good advice was given on location of nearest grocery shop and local pub. Ideal for exploring this area of the Lake District.

Our stay at Jackie's place was awesome. You basically get the upper level to yourself with all the necessary facilities. Everything is clean and works well. Communication with Jackie was straightforward and she also conveniently has some maps to use. And lastly, having a friendly Gem coming for some extra pats was also a definite highlight!

A really great house perfectly situated in the southern lake district. Clean, spacious and quiet, it was everything that was advertised. This house is really impressive, great value for money and is a great base for a weekend of outdoor activity. Definitely recommend.

This house is in a lovely quiet location and yet easily accessible. Friendly dog and goats as well as lots of wildlife. We saw herons preparing to nest, birds on the feeder and woodpecker calling overhead. Great view from the living room window. Very convenient for the Lakeside (steam) railway to Windermere and Grizedale Forest. Jackie is a very accommodating host. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with modern amenities but still lots of character. A great base to explore this quieter part of the Lake District.

You sit by the window on the top floor, sipping tea and looking out at happy goats on green fields, walled off by old stone fences. It's pretty idyllic. Jackie has made an ancient building into a very comfortable place to stay, while maintaining a few quirks to remind you that many generations have used this place.

I would have left more than five stars if possible - the accommodation and location were perfect and host went above and beyond to make us welcome.

Bob is a fantastic host; he is very friendly, helpful and approachable. We enjoyed a peaceful long weekend in the lovely apartment (I especially enjoyed the fireplace with the logs and actual fire). The apartment is clean and cozy, with nice garden and few hundred yards from the sea. We spent a day visiting the welcoming local town, then visited the beautiful locations in the Lake District, Morecambe Bay and Cumbria. All in all, a great experience and fond memories of the place, and hosts, would highly recommend (and would probably visit again ourselves).

The apartment is lovely, very cosy, the perfect mix of a modern apartment and country house complete with a log fire where you can escape from the world. We cannot recommend Bob's beautiful apartment highly enough. Bob, is without doubt one of the best hosts we have encountered. Bob is, intuitive helpful and attentive. Staying in such a comfortable modernised and interesting apartment exceeded our expectations, set in an idyllic setting, enabled us to discover a superb, hidden gem of unspoilt english countryside.

Bob was a really helpful host, flexible and accommodating of all our needs. The house itself was cosy, with an open fire and as much firewood and coal as we needed. There was a Christmas tree set up to create a nice festive atmosphere, and a good selection of books and DVDs too. There were three of us, but the house would have felt a bit small for more than that.

Cove Lea was a perfect little getaway for us over the New Year. The apartment is private, spacious, cozy and lovely. The bed is comfy and having an open fire in the main room is perfect. The kitchen served us well and we even tried out the panini maker! Good hot shower and plenty of space in the apartment to relax. The area is lovely and we kept ourselves busy walking in the local area on the beaches and checking out the pubs as well as exploring further afield. Bob is a great host - he kept in contact and made sure we were ok before and during our stay. Lots of little touches made us feel welcome and at home - like having a christmas tree and ice cream in the freezer :) We'll stay again if we have the opportunity!

Bob's place is really cosy and clean with peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed lovely birdsong in the morning and the wood-burning stove in the evenings. Bob picked me up from Silverdale train station which was very kind. He was a great host and we we loved the area.

We had a fantastic weekend in Silverdale. We loved the accommodation and the garden was perfect for our small family and dogs. The location is wonderful only 2 minutes walk to the beach and the lovely fields into Silverdale centre. Bob was fantastic very welcoming and helpful! We will definitely be returning in the future.

Great stay, amenities are very modern and was a comfortable house to live in! Finding it was not an issue and instructions given were easy to follow. There's a great welcome pack with many ideas as to what to do in Lake District.

Emma was the perfect host. Easy to communicate with and fast to respond. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome with baked treats, wine and other special touches around the home. A beautiful home with plenty of space and a well-equipped kitchen. Beds, lounge and dining all super comfortable. Plenty of outdoor space to explore and amazing scenery to enjoy. Less than 10min drive to the nearest town. Our family of 4 adults, a 7yo and 7mo had a wonderful 5 night stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Our stay in Tyan was lovely, the pictures on Emma's profile don't do the place justice. The views out from the living area, kitchen and bedrooms are amazing. It's a perfect place for a long weekend break away from the city. Emma left us out some essentials for our arrival, a nice thoughtful touch and I loved the ginger cake that she'd left out! Very comfortable and cosy, would definitely stay here again!

We feel so welcomed with the flowers, wine, tasty lemon cake and even tea with milk prepared! The flat is exactly like it is on the website and even more than what we've expected. Well-facilitated kitchen, good water pressure shower. Nice design inside the house that show the owner, Emma, is very thoughtful and have an attention to detail. We feel like it's a home away from home. Will definitely recommend to people!

What an amazing place! Absolutely everything is thought of and you cannot ask for more! The accommodation is very comfortable and welcoming and the views are to die for! Emma is very welcoming and a wonderful host! Everything has been thought of and a lovely welcoming bottle of wine, biscuits, pint of milk in the fridge and a couple of fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm are a lovely touch! Very dog friendly which is a big bonus! Lots of lovely local walks and a very short drive to the local town. You definitely won't be disappointed if you stay here!

We really loved our stay at Tyan and were very reluctant to have to leave at the end of our holiday. It was an easy place to stay in, very clean and comfortable and we appreciated the attention to detail. We particularly loved the bath (as we don't have one at home) - perfect after a day's walking or cycling! Our boys loved the garden and the games room. The views from the cottage were fantastic too, especially in the evening light. We enjoyed exploring the Western Lakes and coast and we can't wait to return to see more of this beautiful part of the world.

We had a long weekend here, and it was fantastic. To be situated right in the middle of the fells made it even more special.

This is thoroughly magical place. The land and the cottage are beautiful, and Cate was the loveliest host. Plenty of space for both my husband and I to relax and enjoy our honeymoon! I had the most wonderful stay with Cate, after booking a last minute escape a few days before, and honestly couldn't fault a thing. My dog Monty and I were warmly welcomed and we felt right at home. The Garden House had everything we could've needed and was beautifully furnished and looked after, I really didn't want to leave and wish I could've stayed longer! 100% positive I'd return again and have recommended to lots of friends and family. Ian's flat is both spacious and airy as well as cosy and warm. It is comfortable and well furnished. We stayed on a bright spring weekend and we thought the flat would make a great base in all seasons. It is 2 mins walk to the centre of ulverston one way and two mins walk to the foot of Hoad Hill footpath on the other. In other words, its in a great spot! A warm welcome from Ian and we would definitely return.

Ian was very friendly and approachable, offered to carry our bags upstairs, and had provided the basics for the stay and a nice unexpected breakfast. The servants quarters is finished to a very high standard, very spacious and comfortable. The lack of parking could be an issue for some but the public car park is only a stone's throw away. Lots of nice places to eat near by. Great value to house 6 people who could stay here very comfortably. Would definitely recommend
