Draw the curtains for privacy in a cosy reading nook with views toward verdant rolling countryside. This converted Victorian era barn is brimming with rustic comforts including a wood-burning fireplace and a claw-foot tub next to a heated towel rack.
The barn is a lovely private space for a romantic break for two. It has it's own kitchen, bathroom with roll top bath, sitting room with wood burner, and kingsize bed with White Company bed linens and towels provided. There is a hot tub in the garden for guests to enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped with a mini dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and oven, toaster, Nespresso machine, kettle etc.
Swallows' Flight Barn is adjacent to a farmhouse in 1,000 acres of glorious Devon farmland, set in a historic courtyard dating back to 1860. It's one mile to the sea and many beautiful beaches, and a 10-minute walk to the village with great dining.
  • A getaway to rejuvenate and relax, to eat lovely food, chill out, go for walks and star gaze

  • Beautiful cosy little barn, full of character. Lucia has added some special little touches to place. Super clean and the roll top bath is amazing. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again x

  • What an amazing place, would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to get away for a relaxing break. There is so much to see and do in the local area, and if you are into your food then look no further. We can't wait to go back!

  • Amazing accomodation and facilities, such a clean and well put together place that will last long in the memory!

  • We had a wonderful time at Swallow's Flight - the barn is in a truly stunning location and was the perfect place to relax. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom is lovely - we would really recommend staying at Lucia's beautiful place!

  • We cannot fault swallows barn! Lucy has thought of everything - it was such a special place to stay and she was full of recommendations of great restaurants and walks to do locally. We are definitely coming back as we didn’t have nearly long enough to do all the wonderful things the area has to offer. The weather was dreadful but swallows barn was the cosiest place to squirrel away. We now want to come back in the summer. Wholeheartedly recommend.

    Lucy2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had the best time at Swallows Flight, the perfect romantic break. We didn't want to leave, we would recommend 100%.

  • Amazing stay ! Clean, cozy and very stilish tree house. We will definitely be back in the summer.

    Bianca2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely romantic quirky getaway! Would definitely recommended to anyone thinking about booking this treehouse :)

    Amy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Booking this weekend away was possibly the best decision myself and my partner have made! The treehouse is located within walking distance of the lovely salcombe, it is a bit hilly, but after a few gin and tonics you hardly notice the slopes! We stayed in mid February, and even with the rain and the wind, we felt incredibly warm and cosy in the beautiful treehouse (which has underfloor heating!!!). Our lovely hosts sent through a massive comprehensive list of not only great places to go for dinner, but a large list of taxi numbers and directions on how to get to and from wherever you need to go! On top of this there was a massive booklet full to the brim of great activities to get stuck into during the day! We opted in for the full cooked breakfast which was winched up to us in a hamper ready for us to cook in the morning. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing, and not being the smallest chap, I was impressed with the portion sizes! Worth it every time! I think we witnessed the treehouse being tested as storm Denis was still whipping the coastline during our visit, but apart from the occasional whistling wind, you would hardly notice there was a storm outside! It’s beautifully quiet and with my phone on airplane mode it was the perfect weekend to switch off. It is worth noting that the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the sheets, towels and all cooking utensils were absolutely spotless! We are both very much looking forward to our next visit (maybe in the summer next time to make the most of the lovely patio area with the fire pit!). Thanks again!

  • A lovely unique stay, great location for exploring Salcombe and the wider area. A particularly lovely touch was the option of a breakfast being winched up to the treehouse - we went for the full English and the local produce was excellent. The shower was lovely and warm, a welcoming experience after being out in wet and windy weather!

    Bryony2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful treehouse! Very clean and incredibly well equipped. The underfloor heating and electric wood burner were certainly needed to dry off clothes after a wintry walk! A 20 minute brisk walk to Salcombe along a lovely path, is an added bonus.

    Dave2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say thank you enough for our stay. First and foremost The Treehouse and the surroundings are both absolutely gorgeous. The bed was incredibly comfy, in fact the whole place is just so warm and cosy. The shower was absolutely to die for and all the space so well designed. Freya was the perfect host, so informative and organised ahead of arrival and attentive on check in despite her own busy diary. The short walk into Salcombe is really pleasant (bring a torch!) but far enough out of the town that it is it’s own little world. I could not recommend this place enough.

    Will2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Can't recommend the Treehouse at Salcombe Farm enough. It is so comfy and inviting and was absolutelty spotless. The decorations for Christmas were a really nice touch, loved the mistletoe hanging over the bed! Thank you so much Felicity and Freya, can't wait to come back soon.

    Gracie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at the treehouse for a birthday celebration. Wonderful woodland location but still within a short walking distance into Salcombe. The property was very well presented with lovely extra touches. Good communication, hosts very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!

Set in the beautiful Devon countryside, cosy 1 bedroom property with amazing views, 3 miles from the fantastic surfing beach at Bantham, close to Kingsbridge in the heart of the South Hams. Lovely traditional pub within walking distance.
The Dairy at Middle Nuckwell is a one double bedroom property, with a luxury double sofabed in the lounge, so would sleep 4 people comfortably, and is detached from the main farmhouse. The Dairy is a traditional stone built property (the original dairy to the farmhouse) and has been recently renovated to the highest standard and includes a fully fitted kitchen, luxury bathroom with walk in shower, underfloor heating, wood burner and private courtyard area, which includes dining set and BBQ. There are horses, chicken and ducks on the property, and you are welcome to collect your own eggs for breakfast. The property has amazing views over a beautiful, peaceful valley. The Hayloft at Middle Nuckwell is also available to rent if you require space for more people.
Nestled in the heart of the South Hams (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), the property is nestled in a beautiful valley. There is a tidal road and estuary within half a mile and there are public footpaths and bridleways nearby, so the location is perfect for walkers and mountain-bikers. Bantham Beach (voted one of the best beaches in Europe by Lonely Planet) is about 3 miles away, so the property is perfect for surfers and water sports enthusiasts. The property is set in the heart of the South Hams so there are numerous sandy beaches and coves to explore. The market town of Kingsbridge is about a mile away, where you will find numerous amenities including supermarkets. The yachting town of Salcombe is also very close by, providing water sports, shopping and many restaurants. Dartmoor National Park is also close and can be seen from the property in the distance.
  • Katy’s place was perfect for a girly weekend away. We spent the majority of the time in the hot tub which was perfect. The pub down the road, Church House Inn was also great - fantastic food, friendly owner & locals who entertained us all evening!

    Georgie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space, great kitchen and beautiful bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Would definitely return! Free eggs from the chickens on the farm. Perfect for poaching

  • Fantastic little getaway with an amazing hot tub!

    Ruth2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Katy’s place as a surprise for my sister and her boyfriend and it definitely lived up to expectations! The cottage was extremely clean and a perfect set up for their little weekend away. They certainly made use of the hot tub and said Katy was super friendly and they loved meeting the dog too! They had a lovely walk in South Milton and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you!

    Amber-Rose2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay and couldn't have asked for more! The house had everything we needed for eating, drinking and cooking and stayed really warm the whole time. The hot tub was perfect and made the stay extra special. Information of local things to do and shops close by was really helpful too - thank you for such a great experience!

    Rachel2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and we couldn’t fault a thing. We were greeted on arrival and given tips on the best places to visit in the area, they were very friendly and welcoming. Easy to contact also, they even politely gave us some foil that we’d forgot to buy from the shop! (It’s only a 10/15 minute drive to Tesco.) The fire and the heated floor boards made everything so warm and cosy, just wish we’d booked even longer. Thanks again for such great hospitality!

    Helen2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful and restful retreat. The local eggs available from the farm made for a tasty breakfast. Katy had left out several informative local brochures for us to taylor our stay at The Dairy, which were extremely helpful. Ending the day relaxing in the hot tub ! We would definitely stay again with Katy.

    Jacqui2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice little converted dairy. Loved the underfloor heating, so cosy didn’t need the log burner. Perfectly appointed in the home for self catering, pretty much everything you could need, and the family hens kindly allow free eggs! Unfortunately on our stay the lights outside had just been blown so was pretty dark navigating down to front door and hot-tub, it really is huge, thought there may have been a view from there in daylight but not. Location off the beaten track (literally) but local amenities are good and fantastic beaches/places to visit nearby.

Relax and unwind in this luxurious studio apartment, with smart TV, cooking facilities, walk-in shower with underfloor heating and all mod-cons. Or on a warm day, soak up the sun in the garden, while cooking on the BBQ.
Perfect luxury retreat for couples, for either a long or short break. All bedding, towels, tea towels provided along with tea and coffee facilities.
Just a short stroll from the main town centre of Salcombe. 10 minute walk down the hill but 10/15 minute walk back up. Its not a major problem but note the hill is steep. Close enough to enjoy the activity of the town but far enough away to escape and find peace should you need. Less than a minute away from the local spar store and post office.
  • Had a great weekend at high tide! Perfect weekend getaway spot. Easy walk in to town, are legs benefited from the hills on the way back! Well set up and tastefully decorated apartment with a great shower! Would definitely recommend to other couples.

    Jamie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Would absolutely recommend staying here, the place was lovely and had everything we needed. Beautifully decorated, it felt cosy and comfortable and provided good shelter from Storm Dennis! Clare and David were wonderful hosts, they made check-in and check-out incredibly easy and were very easy to get in contact with. They also left a lovely welcome basket for us to enjoy. The apartment was very close to the town centre and has a Spar just opposite. Overall, a great experience!

We built this room to enjoy the view. And now you can too. From inside or out on the balcony you look down the Yealm estuary towards the sunset. It is just a studio, but rest assured, it is like no other. PS, Yes we had called it the Garden Room b4
Welcome to our room with a view. We built this room in 2015 to take full advantage of the view down the estuary of the River Yealm towards the sun setting in the West. If your idea of getting way involves a bit of fun, a splash of adventure and more than a hint of luxury then we think you may well be happy here. It is a simple 1 room studio with a wall of glass which folds back so you can step straight onto the deck overlooking the water or to the covered terrace at the side. When it is warm you can really open up the space to the outside. There is electric heating for when its colder. It has a wet room shower, basin and WC. But be warned you have to step out on the terrace to access it, so bring a dressing gown. Being a studio there isn't a full kitchen, just a kettle, coffee maker and a microwave. And you will have to step out again to do your washing up in the Belfast sink on the terrace. All this is in our lower garden between the lane and the estuary. We are one of the last houses in the village before the lane heads off through the woods to the sea, joining up with the South West Coastal Path. Keen walkers will not be disappointed. Gourmands may well want to wander back the other way into the village to dine at the renowned Ship Inn. Or you can come and join us, we run the Noss Mayo Tea Gardens on our upper terrace on summer weekends. Inside you will find plenty of soft furnishings made by Kathryn and some of Kathryn and Andy's driftwood art. We hope you find Noss Mayo as creative and inspiring a place as we do. Because it has been so carefully created we do ask for a cleaning fee, to help keep it that way. Dogs are welcome, but try and keep them off the cushions….. we do ask a higher cleaning charge for those of you bringing dogs, please read all about in the house rules section. Thanks.
Noss Mayo is quite a spot, a narrow estuary village, about as beautiful as any piece of England, make sure you spend 1 evening just sitting on the terrace as the sun goes down. You will go away with memories (and sand in the car footwells).
  • A beautiful studio right on the estuary perfect for a couple. Loved waking up to this view every morning! Kathryn has thought of everything you’d need for your stay with lots of thoughtful little touches such as dressing gowns and slippers. Despite storm Dennis making an appearance whilst we were there, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

    Charlotte2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • I wasn’t sure what to expect from the little village of Noss Mayo, but the River Room and Kathryn herself exceeded all of them. Not only did she treat me like family, she went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. From driving tips for the narrow Devon roads, to guiding me across the estuary at low tide, this was definitely an adventure I won’t soon forget. She is thoughtful and kind, and it shows in every nook and cranny of the River Room. I sincerely hope I’ll find myself in Noss Mayo again sometime!

  • A great little place with lots of charchter in the heart of Devon. Would stay again.

  • We can only confirm what everyone else is saying that this is fantastic spacious accommodation and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The Hope & Anchor in Hope Cove was shut during our stay due to flooding so we ventured into Salcombe and visited the Victoria Inn. Delicious food and pleasant surroundings

    David2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed here for a weekend away and it was just what we needed! We were able to switch off from everything and relax, there were many places to go and explore and it’s only a short drive from the shops. The enclosed garden is great however dogs will be able to get out! We had a lovely weekend and would definitely come back!

    Charlie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an lovely weekend staying at Sam's place. It is very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Despite living in Cornwall, the South Hams and East Devon are areas we hadn't visited much, but this weekend enabled us to really explore. Sam communication was excellent, informative and friendly. It's the storm season...! But with better weather / lighter evenings, we would have easily been able to walk to Hope Cove. We would definitely recommend it here.

    Tommy & Sonya2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quiet spot in a beautiful part of Devon only a short drive from Salcombe. The most spectacular coastal walks are easily accessible from The Lair and plenty of places to visit too. The cottage was beautifully clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The super king bed was so comfy. Sam left a lovely bunch of daffodils in the sitting room along with other nice touches. You can even buy lovely pieces of handmade pottery that are displayed in the cottage. The wifi was a bit intermittent but we did manage to connect iPhones and an iPad to the wifi. There was no mobile phone signal for our phones but that might not apply to all networks. We would definitely go back to Sam's place.

    Lottie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay! Beautiful location and the house was exactly like the pictures, great comfortable space! Was able to bring my dog along too which was amazing. Note there is absolutely no signal anywhere around so grab the WiFi code before coming. Hopefully will return again!

    Iris2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly relaxing place, very peaceful and beautiful scenery. The house was very comfortable, especially the bed and sofas! Thoroughly recommended and would definitely stay again!

    Jo2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Lair is in a beautiful and rural part of Devon, yet not totally isolated. The property is well equipped, fantastically cleaned, homely and well decorated- something which is more difficult to find when looking for a place that accepts dogs too! Value for money is excellent as you get a lot of space both outside and inside all to yourself! Communication prior to our visit and check-in couldn’t have been any smoother. We were left to ourselves, yet, it was reassuring to know that help/advice was only around the corner if needed. Perfect little set up for a relaxing weekend away to switch off and explore the coasts and moorlands! Thank you.

  • Such a beautiful location and lovely hostesses who go above and beyond for their guests. Their communication skills were phenomenal from directions, local places to go and even helping with the local takeaway through storm Dennis. Arrived on Valentine’s Day and such a warm welcome! Freshly home made bread to a beautiful bunch of flowers and even a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge! Highly recommended even if it’s raining! Will be returning in the summer! 5* and defiantly more!

  • Superbly presented and in a great location. Couldn't have had a better welcome with fresh bread, teas, milk etc etc in a brilliantly set-up apartment with southerly views across the valley.

  • This is a great apartment, accurately described, well appointed, lovely comfortable bed and large bathroom with both bath and shower. Kay is a great host and provided some great welcoming touches; homemade bread, fresh orange juice, wine, tea, coffee, butter, jams and more. The best we have ever received at an Airbnb. The apartment was lovely and warm thanks to the ground source heat pump heating. We arrived in the middle of storm Ciara but the apartment kept us snug, warm and was quiet thanks to the double glazing. As Kay says the apartment is about 15 minutes to Bantham beach which we and our dog loved.

  • Absolutely beautiful little place, hidden deep in the valley, with a gorgeous view,we were treated to buzzards, sheep, birds and a nosy pheasant. No noise, pure tranquility.Great use of space, amazingly comfortable bed, slept so well, bath made it for us, was amazing. Loved the fresh bread still warm on arrival, jams marmalades, herbal teas, gorgeous coffee, fresh milk, juice, wine, butter and elderflower juice. We had a perfect weekend, couldn't of been better. The owner allowed us in early,we didn't live far away, it made it for us as it was kind of like an extra day. We will 100 percent book again. Thank you very much.

    Kelly2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great immaculate flat with most amazing view, nice terrace and garden. The flat is very close to bantham beach and some pubs as well. We were also very impressed with all the little touches made by Kay, nice flowers, home baked bread, jams, fresh milk and fresh juice and many more. Kay’s hospitality, her flat and location is definitely exceeded our expectations. We will definitely revisit in the summer and will recommend to our friends. Our dog loved the experience too, thank you so much.

  • Driftwood is just as you imagine clean and a great place to stay Kay left some lovely food and drink which wasnt expected but greatfully received. West Buckland is a fab area and so quiet and the beach at Bantham was amazing even in January

This is a great location for exploring the Devon coastline - Bantham beach is a half mile walk from the bothy with a great pub on the way! David & Anna are lovely hosts who have obviously taken great care to create a cosy home-from-home for their guests. All communication prior to our travel was comprehensive and received in good time and there is lots of information available at the property covering the local area. We’ll definitely try to stay here again :)

Booking and checking in etc was all incredibly easy and Charlotte was really quick to respond to me during the booking process. The house is very well looked after, lovely and clean and has the most beautiful gardens. We will definitely be returning and recommending to family and friends who are visiting Devon.

  • Superbly equipped, comfortable house with spacious rooms and the bonus of two sitting rooms. Kitchen facilities excellent, with two ovens and lots of fridge and freezer space. Spacious bedrooms, and the top ensuite is a stunner! Location in the village means you can walk through the village and across the golf course to nearby beaches. Bantham beach, 'the only surf beach in south Devon', is a bit more of a hike along the coast. The village shop is useful for dry goods/medicines/booze etc and the Village Inn does a very good meal. The neighbourhood is quiet and the garden is a real asset, with room for games on the lawn. A great place to holiday!

    Dominique2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic house suitable for all ages, in a pretty village surrounded by stunning views and great beaches. We’d highly recommend Apple Trees as a holiday destination.

It’s in a lovely location, not far from the beach and some lovely little towns. The communication from Charlotte is brilliant and we had lots of really useful tips for places to visit and see. We really had a wonderful time!

  • Upper Deck is just fab! We totally recommend as a base for exploring the South Hams. It’s super close to the Best beaches. Especially South Milton Sands. The accommodation is very private. We were met by a lovely man with some umbrellas as it was absolutely chucking it down! Much appreciated! The bed is so comfortable we didn’t want to get up! The kitchen space is fab. Good size shower and cloakroom. Lots of little personal touches around the room. We will certainly be back! If you are looking for a base to explore the area you can’t go wrong here!

    Jenna2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lou is a lovely host and the upper deck is an extraordinary location to get a break from the routine. The place is comfy, decorated with love and you have everything you could wish for. The surroundings are breath taking, especially when the sun comes out. I highly recommend staying at the upper deck for a while...you will switch your mind off, I can promise that.

    Natalie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I booked a stay at The Upper a Deck as part of a Christmas present for my Mum. Being from Devon ourselves, we were familiar with the Salcombe area - but it was nice to try somewhere more off the beaten track. The room was sparkling clean, spacious, stylish and comfortable. We had everything big we needed for our night away, including little personal touches from Lou. There are three radiators in the annexe, so don’t worry about being cold in the winter - mum and I were very toasty. There were even two hot water bottles, just in case! I’d highly recommend The Upper Deck and hopefully will be back again soon :)

    Alex2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

We offer accommodation in a large, comfortable double room above our pub in the estuary town of Kingsbridge in South Devon. The room has an en-suite with shower and toilet; TV; tea and coffee making facilities; hairdryer; wardrobe and drawers. The pub downstairs is a traditional pub, with a pool table, piano and charming, courtyard garden. We are based in the heart of the town, close to a variety of fine restaurants and shops, the bus station and the scenic estuary.
There is a private side entrance to the building which is available to guests if they do not want to use the pub entrance. We do not provide any meals, but there are a number of places nearby which offer food throughout the day. It is important to be aware that the room is above the pub and so there is a level of noise which comes from downstairs. There is live music performed by local musicians on a Sunday from 5-7pm. We are situated on a street with award winning restaurants, another pub and take-away outlets. It can therefore be a busy part of town, especially on a Saturday night, so there is some noise outside the pub. Some may enjoy being so central, while others may not, so please keep this in mind.
Kingsbridge is a charming estuary town in the South Hams, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town has a number of interesting independent shops; art galleries; cafes; restaurants; pubs; a cinema and leisure centre with a swimming pool and gym. There is a scenic embankment for those who enjoy a stroll and for the adventurous, the town is an ideal base from which to explore the nearby coastal areas, moor and neighbouring towns.
  • A wonderful stay with an amazing host. Thank you so much. ❤️ There's is a slight bit a noise heard in the room from the downstairs pub, but not enough to disturb your sleep etc. Smack bang in the centre of the town, close to all restaurants and pubs/cafes. The room was spacious, clean and well lit. Lovely touch with the coffee cafetiere, a great start to the mornings. :) Would highly recommend the hermi, and should we be needing a place to stay in kingsbridge again we will defiantly be back.

    Charley2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Kingsbridge, central, amazing host and excellent communication from Anna, super comfortable room, bed and TV, with ensuite, excellent shower and very nice people, thanks again, see you next visit if you're free to accommodate, Iain

    Iain2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely room hidden away on one of the side streets in Kingsbridge is a gem. It is situated above a “proper” old pub and has one of the comfiest beds 👍. As it is above the pub, you can hear muted music and chat but to be honest I hear more noise from the tv from my neighbours house ! It’s a lovely old building with plenty of restaurants nearby and take any direction to explore many of the nearby towns like Salcome, Totnes or Dartmouth. The hosts are very friendly, they will give advice on places to visit, eat and nothing is too much trouble. We brought back take-always to our room and they provided us with plates and cutlery and having a bar downstairs was very useful 😁. We took two dogs with us and they enjoyed all the attention from the friendly locals too. This is a lovely little bolt hole to escape to and we enjoyed it so much we’ve booked again already. Thankyou for an enjoyable stay x🐶

    Katrina 2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely comfortable stay st Anna's. Well situated in the centre of Kingsbridge, plenty of places to eat literally on your doorstep & nearby shops. Anna was a top host, ensured I was well looked after & provided prompt responses to ajy comms. Definitely recommend a stay if your in the Kingsbridge area.

    Peter2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Hermitage Inn was perfect for our weekend break, Anna was really welcoming and the room was exactly as it said on the tin!

    Robyn2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very spacious and clean, and in a perfect location right in the centre of town. Fantastic value for how lovely the room is, thanks Anna, we'll definitely be back!

    Madeleine2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Large spacious rooms, very clean and homely with some nice touches. there is noise from the bar below - you can hear the jukebox if you don't have the Tv on and some noise from the street at times, but this is to be expected due to the age of the building and the fact that the rooms are above the bar area. I can't fault this property for the price though

    Kevin2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • There is a huge, light-filled room above the pub with the most comfortable bed. The power shower has just the right pressure for a delicious hot shower with toiletries provided. This is a pub facility so expect some noise, but even with a live singer performing, it was not obtrusive. Anna and Austen are very strict with closing time so my sleeping hours were never interrupted. Added advantage is of course a freshly drawn pint before bed. Kingsbridge abounds with eating establishments within a 5 minute walk. On-site parking and access is very convenient. There’s loads of wardrobe space too for longer stays.

The Mews is the perfect romantic cottage for 2 - complete with a woodfired hot tub in your private garden and a roll top antique bath in the bedroom! It is situated on our coastal organic dairy farm on the South Devon coast. French doors open out onto the patio from the bedroom, giving you an area of total privacy (apart from the odd cow peering over the fence perhaps) from which to soak up the serenity of the surrounding countryside and to enjoy a soak in the gorgeous wooden hot tub.
Situated on Lambside Farm, this lovely detached stone building was originally a barn and home to a domesticated gos hawk. Named in honour of its former resident, it has been thoughtfully renovated to provide delightful, modern accommodation for two people. The Mews has been arranged to give complete seclusion and offers an open plan living area downstairs with a woodburner, and a modern kitchen with a small dining area. There is also a small cloakroom downstairs with a toilet and basin. Outside is a delightful secluded patio and garden with your own private wooden woodfired hot tub – so romantic! A spiral staircase winds up to the first floor, also open plan, which has a king size bed and bathroom area with toilet (discreetly hidden behind the bookcase), hand basin and a wonderful antique roll top bath, quirkily painted like a cow! French doors open out onto the patio from the bedroom, giving you an area of total privacy (apart from the odd cow peering over the fence perhaps) from which to soak up the serenity of the surrounding countryside and to enjoy a soak in the gorgeous wooden hot tub. The kitchen even has a Nepresso coffee machine so you can make a perfect expresso to enjoy while sitting on the patio in the morning sun! The Mews has a telephone (incoming and emergency calls only), underfloor heating downstairs, central heating upstairs, a private parking area and all the standard facilities that we offer. Superior 100% white cotton bed linen and big fluffy towels and bath robes are all provided, as well as tea-towels, bath mats and environmentally friendly cleaning materials. We put delicious local organic milk in the fridge for your arrival – with our compliments, along with enough recycled paper toilet rolls, Fair Trade tea, coffee, sugar and local organic herbal tea to get you started!
In the heart of the South Hams in Devon, Carswell Farm is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and the coastal path is right on the doorstep, providing stunning walks that lead to quiet beaches and picturesque villages. The farm is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with an exceptional variety of wildlife and plants, including some extremely rare species that are encouraged because the farm is organic. Carswell is one of the few places in the country where you could spot a cirl bunting and there is a pair of faithful Peregrine Falcons who nest on the cliff here every year. We have an abundance of wildlife – hares, bats and badgers are just a few of the residents you are sure to see, and many more besides. We have barn owls and little owls residing in the old barns behind Lambside House – walk down the farm lane and see if you can see them out hunting.

  • Beautiful location within a picture postcard South Devon village very close to an outstanding and dog friendly beach. The cottage is stylish and homely with a lovely outdoor area and viewing platform for the sea. Would highly recommend.

  • Lovely, beautifully decorated little house, with a pretty sunny terrace where we had breakfast and dinner most days. The area is stunning.

  • We had a wonderful time at Hannah and Chris. The cottage is charming, comfortable and very clean, and very well located. We recommend visiting the Greenway (Agatha Christie House) by taking the boat from Dartmouth as recommended by Hannah. It's amazing. Discover also the delicious scones of the small grocery store in the village: fresh every morning, be careful before noon or nothing.

  • Lovely time in Bantham. This was our second year staying with Bronwen and it was ideal. Great location for anyone visiting Bantham or Thurlstone. This year we were four instead of two and it worked out just as well. Thanks again, see you next year, I hope.

    Ben2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect, good value place for small family or two couples. It’s a little awkward having the bathroom en-suite to main bedroom as others have to come through to use it! But otherwise everything you would expect and a lovely local pub!

    Elizabeth2019-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in an ideal location with a fantastic host!

    Sacha2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice appartment, good views, very handy to beaches, pub, right next to good footpaths. Table tennis room an added bonus and was great fun.

    Jonathan2018-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Bronwen was welcoming and there to greet us on arrival. The apartment was well presented, clean and comfortable, exactly as described on the website. There was tea, coffee and milk as well as a coffee cake. Bronwen was happy for us to contact her as necessary. The area was lovely, providing lots of opportunity for coastal walks, we also enjoyed a game of table tennis. There were plenty of good local restaurants, several within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others.

    Lorraine2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Bronwen’s apartment is set in beautiful countryside with great views over the sea and good access to the village and local beaches. The apartment is as described and provides accommodation for up to 4 people. We had everything we needed including Wi-fi and tv.

Marwell Lodge is a beautiful lodge set in large grounds down a quiet country lane. It is beautifully presented with many home comforts for your stay - summer or winter. The lodge is a true getaway and feels miles away from anywhere , however you can walk to a local pub and shop and a short drive to many wonderful beaches. We pride ourselves in customer care and you will arrive to a welcome pack including fresh milk , coffee , tea and a few little treats to welcome you after your journey.
The lodge is south facing so nice and sunny ! Very peaceful and private. You can relax on the terrace and have the joy of your own grounds. It is well situated for the South West Coastal Path, Dartmoor and country walks , amazing beaches - no need to get in the car if walking is your thing .
There are many good pubs nearby with great reputations for good food and friendly service . Close to a village shop and nearby Modbury for everyday needs.
  • A wonderful bolt hole to explore a beautiful part of the world. Laura was a very good host with quick responses, checking we had everything we needed and making sure we had some lovely scones on arrival. She even left some dog biscuits for our dog Monti. Exceptionally clean and loads of room. A real home from home

    Melanie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a quiet location this is for you. Splendid walks from the door. Being out of the main season, it was great for the dog as they are allowed on most of the beaches. Local pub offered good food, and the shop ....all only 5 mins drive away.

    Carol2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic lodge in a beautiful setting with everything you need! We wished we had booked for longer!

    Simon2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful lodge which was ideal for us and our 2 dogs! Laura made it very welcoming and left us some lovely treats which were an added bonus :) We did some great coast and beach walks nearby, the weather quite wild at times but the lodge very warm to come back too! I would definitely recommend and imagine in the summer it must be even better with the lovely terrace to enjoy :)

    Kate2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted a place away from everything to simply relax and take the dogs out for walks. We couldn’t have picked a better place. Very easy access to the coastal walk, 45min from Dartmoor... just what we wanted. The dogs were initially super excited but I fear they may attack us next time we say “walkies”. Big garden, amazing views, nice warm lodge. Perfect for relaxing! Highly recommended.

    Marco2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic base for exploring a wonderful part of South Devon. A well equipped, clean lodge in an extremely peaceful location that is within walking distance of a beautiful section of the South West coast path. Would highly recommend.

  • Marwell Lodge is in a beautiful quiet location in the grounds of the host's property. The lodge is secluded with plenty of outside space ,which is very well maintained and safe. The interior is lovely, spacious, clean with everything you need and lots of extra touches. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. The host was very helpful and welcoming. We stayed with our dog, who was also welcomed and he could move freely in the large garden.

  • This lodge is in an idyllic location to get away from it all for peace and quiet but is within walking distance to a well stocked shop and two pubs. The lodge itself is comfortable, modern and situated in a secluded setting.

The bungalow is 5 minutes walk to the beach and 2 minutes to the boat House. I live there with my Carer 90% of the time. I have multiple sclerosis and am in wheelchair and can’t talk, apart from that I am a relaxed 37 year old man. Bantham is great place for all. The bungalow is also across the road from the Sloop inn.
There are 2 spare bedrooms, you have your own bathroom and can use kitchen and living room.
  • Location could not be better, views are fantastic.

    Sarah2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location with stunning views and loads to do right on the doorstep. Opposite popular pub, shop/cafe walking distance. You can walk down the garden to the waters edge and paddle board up or down the river to Bantham Beach. On the beach there are very nice pizza and high end burger bars. Perfect! Only trouble is the tight road getting there with queues of traffic, so tip would be to avoid peek beech going and leaving hours for driving.

  • Tony’s place is in a lovely position in Bantham with easy access to the beach and estuary. It’s a beautiful area and the views from the garden is amazing. Tony had some good tips as my son is a wheelchair user.

    Kelly2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tony.s place is ideal location very close to the beach, saving you 6.5 a day parking on the beach and his house garden has a fantastic Seaview. Sunset lodge is set in magical wooded surroundings overlooking fields with a stunning view to Burgh Island and the Sea. On a clear day you can see down the coast to Cornwall and at night you can see Burgh Island Hotel lit up & the Edison light house flashing. Sunset Lodge is designed for 1 or 2 guests, offering complete privacy, great views and easy walks to the sea and coastline. Bantham village with the famous Sloop pub, Coffee shop, Gastro bus, and Surf school is only a short walk away.
Sunset Lodge has received a large amount of really positive feedback over its 10 years of being open. This can be seen with Trip Advisor and in the Lodges comments book. We have really enjoyed hosting this special place in its beautiful environment.
Bantham and the surrounding area is an area of outstanding beauty. This is a perfect place to set off on your exploration and enjoyment of the local beaches and countryside.
  • So so beautiful! Perfect little setting, every thing you need, amenities, local shop, stunning beach, the list goes on. Gorgeous local pub with amazing food, was pleasantly surprised! The views from the lodge are to die for!! Will definitely be returning!

    Kay2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible cabin, incredible host and most of all; incredible location. The walk to the beach is beautiful, the hospitality from the locals in heart warmly welcoming, especially The Sloop. Not only was there amazing food, they all gave that same welcoming feel. There’s an atmosphere you get in the cabin, the views along with it’s peacefulness. It’s proper relaxation. It’s a very homely and cosy space, couldn’t recommend it more.

    Elliott2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible spot. The lodge is in such a great position to explore the area from and the views are second to none. We had some wild and windy weather whilst we were there and it made it even more cosy. The lodge has everything you could need for a trip away. Tim and Helen have obviously put a lot of care and attention into the design and Tim gave some great info on the area when we arrived. This is a gem of a find, we will be back!

    Amy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is the perfect place for a romantic weekend. Very secluded but with stunning views of the estuary and Burgh Island beyond. Check-in was very easy and Tim was available for any questions we had during the stay. Definitely a destination for people who like the great outdoors, with fantastic walking and watersports pretty much on the doorstep. We had a wonderful time.

    Paul2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • An outstanding cosy lodge, with everything you need, perfectly situated for views, and local walks / exploring, Tim gave us a great run down of the local area when we arrived. The OS map was very useful. If the weather is kind then the decking and bench are great, if not you still have plenty of room in the lodge to while away some time. Highly recommended.

    Scott2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • The advice from Helen upon arrival was brilliant. Just a ten minute walk from The Sloop Inn and just a bit further to the beautiful Bantham Beach - Perfect for a couple looking for a quiet, secluded weekend away. The sunset really was incredible!

    Megan2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Sunset Lodge was absolutely beautiful. The location was amazing with spectacular views and only a short walk or drive to the beach and nice places to eat and drink. Inside, the lodge had everything we needed and we certainly hope to return. Thanks Tim and Helen!

  • We have been planning to visit Sunset Lodge for a couple of years and it has always been fully booked. We were very pleased to manage to visit eventually. Sunset Lodge is an amazing place. We were very lucky with the weather and had three evenings of bbq's in our private outdoor area with beautiful views. There are lots of walks from the Lodge which, Tim recommended. The lodge was very quiet, clean and cosy perfect for two! We plan to return.

Our charming shepherd hut provides cosy accommodation for two with stunning views to the countryside nestled in its own meadow on our small farm. Although our beautiful hut is hidden away in a peaceful quiet location, there’s something for everyone nearby. Located in the heart of the South Hams countryside near the town of Modbury there are spectacular views, walks and scenery all year round.
Drive down our private lane and park in the car park before a short (200m) walk down the fields to access the hut. The double French doors open up to reveal a beautiful characterful interior. At one end is a built in double bed, with lots of storage underneath. There’s an open plan living and kitchen space with power points for your electrical items. A door at the other end leads to the shower room with electric shower and WC. For the colder nights you can stoke up the wood burner, providing plenty of warmth. The galley kitchen has all the basics (including tea, coffee and sugar) and provides a simple space with a useful drop-leaf table for cooking up your own meals. There is a fridge to keep the essentials cold and an electric hob, kettle and toaster. Outside the French doors is a decked covered balcony with table and chairs so you can relax and enjoy the views in peace and quiet. A perfect setting to enjoy an alfresco dinner at the end of the day or a game of cards. Feel free to use the BBQ or fire pit (some wood provided) in the evening, you may even hear the rustle of the local badgers, deer and wildlife in the fields. We are a short walk from Andrews Wood Nature Reserve, an established woodland with a collection of ferns and beautiful wildflowers. A walk through Andrews Wood takes you past a ruined farmstead and gardens long abandoned by people. Exmoor ponies graze the wood which is home to the Heath Lobelia which is thought to exist in just six locations in England, making Andrews Wood a site of Special Scientific Interest. A short 30 minute drive from the farm will find you in picturesque Dartmoor National Park for some breathtaking walks. In the opposite direction, some of the West Country’s best beaches can be found. Bantham or Bigbury for the surfers (or sunbathers!) and plenty of coastal paths for the hikers. If shopping is more your thing there are plenty of small towns to potter through including Totnes, Salcombe and Kingsbridge. There are lots of places to eat nearby more details and recommendations will be in your welcome pack. Less than a mile from the hut you can easily walk to the local pub which has a well-stocked shop opposite if you’ve left any of your essentials at home! There are lots of places to eat nearby
  • Had a lovely mini break here with my partner and my little dog. Jan was very helpful through the booking process as I had a few hiccups with the air bnb app. Her directions were spot on and she was very welcoming when we arrived and left us to our own devices for the duration of the visit. She had very kindly provided a water bowl, dog towel and some dog treats for my four legged friend which I thought was a lovely touch. The shepherds hut itself was very secluded and far from the main house, situated in a field that we had all to ourselves, which was lovely for my dog to play with toys when we weren't out exploring. And even though it was pretty cold outside, the woodburner made the place lovely and warm. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet little getaway and I would definitely visit again!

    Litty2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was clean and cosy and contained everything needed for a short break. We were unlucky with the weather so would love to return in the Summer months and enjoy the outside space. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and secluded to recharge your batteries this is ideal.

    Jody2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely couple of days at the cabin. It’s located at the end of a field so you are well out of the way and it’s lovely and quiet. The log burner does a great job heating the place and it was nice not to have to go outside to get to the loo/shower. The cabin was spotlessly clean and the bed nice and comfy. Good hot shower too. The cabin was easy to find and only a short drive to the coast for days walking and exploring the area. It’s beautiful even in January!

    Rebecca2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The shepherds hut was lovely - very toasty with the log burner and stylishly kitted out. We were a bit unfortunate with the weather (flood warnings and all!) so didn’t get the chance to make the most of the gorgeous location, but we were very happy snuggled up there. Thanks Jan!

    Alex2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for a weekend get away, would be perfect in the summer but still an amazing place in the winter because of the log burner and wood which is available to warm you up and allow you to cosy up in the cabin 😌😌 It’s a must for me if you want a countryside scape 👌🏼

    Mike2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The space is beautifully decorated and sparkling clean, really easy to get to yet feels so secluded once there. A perfect space for a peaceful getaway. Would 100% recommend to all. Great walking routes, shopping and dining nearby. Will definitely be back!

    Emma2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderfully private and peaceful. A lovely cosy hut with everything you need and amazingly clean. The fire will keep you warm on even the coldest of nights. An excellent base to explore the local area.

    Rebecca2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at Jan's hut and it felt as if we were returning to a place that we own! As always, the hut was spotless clean and well stacked with coffee, tea, milk, sugar, wood for the log burner, etc. This time around we booked ourselves on the Great Robin Round Trip (Steam train, Bus and Steam Ferry) and it was lovely returning home to a warm and cosy cabin. We spent hours sat on the veranda, watching the stars and chatting. Maximum romance! I just love seeing the effect that this gorgeous secluded spot has on my often-stressed husband. Your place is magic, Jan, a real tonic and you're a wonderful hostess. Thank you so much for having us again, we can't wait to be back soon!

The kitchen is fully equipped. The living space is small, but adequate. We found it to be a very comfortable and relaxing place. We will definitely return.

Comfortable self-contained accommodation. Enjoy the magnificent views & big garden. The beach is popular for all the fun it offers - water sports, rock pooling, safe swimming. Kayaks & stand up paddle boards can be hired. This area is very popular for birdwatching as the wet lands attract rare sightings. Horses and cows graze in the meadow - idyllic. Just relax and breathe and enjoy! Please note that we don’t currently offer bedding or towels, and so our price reflects guests bringing their own.
This is a very rural & quiet place, guests are asked to respect the wildlife and peaceful character of the area. No fires, no pets and no large groups can be accommodated.

  • A pure delight to stay again at our new favourite place to stay. A perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the modern world, lay back in bed and enjoy the sound of the sea as you drift off to sleep after a long day of walking around the beautiful countryside and beach of South Devon. You won't be disappointed if you decide to stay here.

  • Despite the weather at the time we went, this is a fantastic place for some R & R. If you are looking for some peace & quiet, some great coastal walks, beach and nature on the doorstep then this the place to stay. We were delighted by the abundance of animal & birdlife on the wetlands and local walks. We will almost certainly like to return for longer next time and could not speak more highly of our hosts.

    Keith2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the cottage is lovely, so quiet and peaceful and surrounded by beautiful walks. Even if you don't like walking, the short cliff top walk to Hope Cove is unmissable. We loved the fact you could walk from the door and the area is full of interesting wildlife. The cottage is well equipped and perfect for an active couple who need a break from the outside world. Anne and Laura were charming and helpful.

    Guy2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a Blissfully peaceful 5 days at Anne`s place, the location was pure Heaven to us, we did not want to leave and could easily live there. The Beach Retreat is a few minutes walk from the beach and backs on to South Huish wetlands reserve, the beach is Sandy and a perfect location to watch the sunset with a cold drink from the Beach House Bar/Cafe just yards from the beach. We hope to return again may times .

  • This was our second visit. Excellent accommodation in a lovely spot. Host Nicky was very professional and prompt in all correspondence .

  • Spent a few days here last week. The flat is a quick walk from the centre of the village and where it is situated has the most stunning views. The walks from here are amazing. The flat itself was extremely clean and comfortable and can honestly say there wasn't anything we wanted/needed that wasn't there. We felt very comfortable and relaxed here and our dogs loved it, especially with all the pheasants that they managed to flush out on our walks. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend a stay here.

  • Sue & Nigel place absolutely blew our expectations out of the bag. It's so beautiful, clean and so many added touches. Sue even went the extra mile and bought us some bread, milk and cereal for our stay before we arrived. This was my first visit to Salcombe and I'll definitely be back - what a beautiful place!

  • Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property itself was lovely and cosy. It was close enough to Salcombe and Hope Cove the two places we most wanted to go whilst we were here. Everywhere was nice and clean. This was our first air bnb experience and we much preferred it than to staying in a hotel. Thank you Sue and Nigel, we had a great stay!!

    Katie2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a great couple of nights away here. There was two of us staying and it was just such a quiet peaceful location, perfect for a relaxing weekend away! Has everything you could need in the place & only a short taxi ride away from the town (around £10). We completed the salcombe gin distillery school, which I would also highly recommend! The hosts were so welcoming and understanding and always keeping us up to date! We did get slightly lost on the way there (through no fault but our own) and sue was there on the end of the phone to help guide us there! 100% recommend for a quiet, peaceful couples getaway!

  • I returned to Tilly’s, another working trip ,she makes her guests really welcome and so comfortable in her lovely light and restful home!

    Charles2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Tilly made us very welcome at her spotless and stylish home... despite our having to cancel on two previous occasions due to the various storms ...! We hope to return to continue our recce of this lovely area very soon and hopefully stay with her again ...

    Mary2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Tilly is a wonderful host. She made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. Her home is beautiful and our space was immaculate. Tilly was helpful every step of the way from notifications to adapting to our needs. Her home is close to the town center with easy parking. We look forward to going back.

    Todd2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tilly gave me a very warm welcome to her beautiful home. The rooms were sparkling clean and I had everything I needed. The house itself was peaceful and quiet and the road also, but it was also easy walking distance into the lovely small town of Modbury. The bedroom was very comfortable and the private bathroom next door was perfect. I didn’t feel I was intruding on Tilly’s privacy as I had the middle floor to myself. We shared the kitchen but I didn’t use it for more than a cup of tea as I was eating with my sister locally for all meals, but had I needed to it was very clean and Tilly had said I could use it if I wanted to. There was a TV in the lounge which I could also use if I had wanted to. WiFi was also available. All in all, Tilly’s place was perfect for my circumstances and I would happily stay again if I needed to.

    Liz2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tilly's house is on a new estate in the attractive little Georgian town of Modbury. The Development where the house is located is very pretty with some great views out towards Dartmoor. This is a relatively new housing complex and the facilities within Tilly's lovely town house are exceptional. She couldn't have done more to make me feel relaxed and at ease. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt at home almost as soon as I'd arrived. The house was spotlessly clean and I cannot think how anything could be improved upon. Staying with Tilly has been a wonderful experience and I cannot recommend her home and hospitality highly enough.

    Steph2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great all round place to stay, very clean and comfortable.

    Jane2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Tilly is a fantastic, welcoming host and her home is very beautiful and comfortable. Modbury is a beautiful and picturesque village - close to the coast and beaches and also to the stunning Devon countryside. I can’t recommend - Tilly, her home, and this area highly enough!

  • Tilly's home is just beautiful and the room is gorgeous, with your own bathroom. The location is also just stunning. Tilly was an amazing host - she was so accommodating and helpful and kind. I definitely recommend staying with Tilly to anyone who is in the area.

This is a beautiful place to live, a gem we found a few years ago and have gradually been transforming into our forever home. We love the combination of privacy with rural living and proximity to the wonderful South Hams places, events and culture. Waking up to gorgeous views, listening to the birds and countryside noises is bliss.
  • We had a really lovely weekend away here, Alasdair was there to greet us on arrival and show us around the shepherd’s hut. We had a lovely meal at the Church House Inn which was 15 minutes’ walk away with a great atmosphere. The hot tub was the real highlight and really made our trip! We also visited Thurleston Sands which was a great beach nearby and Kingsbridge which was a lovely little town. The Shepherd’s Hut was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again.

  • Fantastic Shepard’s hut with everything you need! Small, Warm and cosy. A stunning peaceful location, outstanding area just 15 minutes to the coast. Siobahn & Alistair were excellent hosts, seeing them at the local pub and even gave us a lift to the bus stop! Loved the Hot Tub.

    Pete2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Siobahn’s place is in a great location with real privacy. The hut itself is clean and well equipped with everything you could need. The hot tub is to a good standard and has a nice outlook over the neighbouring fields and rolling hills.

  • We had the most wonderful stay here and I would recommend it to anyone (in fact I will be!). Alistair and Siobahn are such lovely hosts, they really go above and beyond and are so easily contacted when/if needed. The place itself is so cute and has everything you need plus a hot tub!! We came for a long weekend for my boyfriends birthday and it’s a perfect base to explore the local area - it’s only a £20 taxi home from Salcombe if you fancy a few bevs. The pub that’s a ten minute walk is lovely too with great food and friendly staff. Thank you so so much, we loved it ❤️

    Megan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Siobahn’s. The hut was warm, cosy and spacious with everything we needed. The hot tub was a highlight and the views of the fields were amazing. For a breath of fresh air and some down time it was the perfect place for us!

Our spacious family home is close to the beach and has beautiful views over the estuary. Bigbury is the perfect location for a beach holiday in Devon. The expansive sandy beach is just a walk away and plenty of water sports are on offer.
Guests would have a good sized double room with a king sized bed (and space for a travel cot if needed). There is an en-suite shower room with a large shower, and a walk in wardrobe area too. Breakfast will be a informal meal, with a choice of cereals, bread, toast etc. Other options may be available by arrangement.
Bigbury has a very popular beach and gets very busy in the summer. Our house is at the top of Folly Hill in Bigbury on Sea so it is away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to walk to the beach (down a steep hill). We also have access to a footpath running down a farm field to Cockle Ridge which is a beautiful quiet beach on the side of the river mouth.
  • The cottage is very spacious and accommodated our party of 5 adults, one toddler and twin babies. Although the beach is within walking distance, this is not recommended if you have small children to carry plus beach equipment. Parking nearby can cost upto £12 a day.

  • We had the perfect weekend and a part if me would like to keep Rebecca's house a secret! The location of the house meant we could stroll through beautiful fields to the beach. Rebecca was a generous, helpful and welcoming host. We very much hope to visit again and explore more of the area.

    Suzanne2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at this house. It was much bigger than expected and extremely comfortable. There were amazing views of the seaside. The host was very helpful and generous.

  • My family and I really enjoyed the stay at Rebecca's. Rebecca had left us supper in the fridge the night we arrived and that made us feel very welcome. The house is larger than we expected and very child friendly, the kids loved all the toys Rebecca had left for us and the little garden in front of the house. The beach is just a short walk away. Bigbury on sea is an amazing place! The views are breathtaking! We most certainly recommend it.
