Excellent fishing (with an IL fishing license) our pier is in June through September. A short drive gets you to every store you can imagine in Antioch, we are 15 minutes from Gurnee Mills, one of the largest malls in the U.S. as well as Six Flags Great America amusement park. There is also ice fishing.
