Kalamata Messinia Cozy Country House Mountain View

This traditional house of about 200 years is located in the village of Poliani in Messinia at a height of 680 meters in the embrace of Taygetos. The village is surrounded by verdant mountain peaks as it stretches through a fertile plain full of apple trees,walnuts and grains that cross it by two rivers. Historically, Poliani has recorded up to this day more than 45 Byzantine temples while the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary survives from the Byzantine period with remarkable frescoes of the 12th century.

Theta is a 60 sq.m. stone guesthouse, a few meters from the square of Stemnitsa. Built in 1867, it is the "katowi" (ground floor) of a traditional village house. It is 4 km from the river Neda, 14 km from the Temple of Epicurean Apollo, 27 km from Andritsaina and 23 km from Nea Figalia (Zourtsa).
