We invite you to our refurbished spacious 2 bedroom (sleeps 4/6 + cot) barn conversion with private fenced garden set in a peaceful hamlet in the French countryside.‭ A warm welcome awaits nature lovers and families or couples looking for a peaceful French getaway. We are very fortunate to be within a few minutes of Les Lacs des Haute Charente. Lac de Lavaud has two beaches, is a swimming lake, it has a children's play area, nautical centre (hiring paddle boards, etc), bars and restaurants.

Le Refuge is a small, semi-detached country cottage which offers a tranquil and private rustic holiday away from the noise and stress of the modern world. It is a place to escape to, where you can do what you like. Read or write books, paint, explore the area, hike or cycle, cook good meals, enjoy your own space or spend some quality time with your partner. Enjoy your own private and spacious apartment in this wonderful medieval manor house in the heart of Rochechouart, the building has 4 self contained apartments each with a private kitchen and bathroom, there is access to a shared courtyard. Each apartment has a double bed with bedding provided, there is also a double sofa bed, bedding can be provided at an additional charge. Enjoy the beautiful town of Rochechouart where several bars and restaurants can be found and the incredible chateau.
