Avoid lines on the ferry! You can leave your car in a parking lot in São Sebastião and cross by boat (the boat is not included in the house rental nor the parking lot). In 15 minutes you will be at a private pier in Ponta das Canas, north of the island. By land, it is 30 minutes from the ferry. Covered garage for two cars.
