Situated between Carlisle & Dumfries - we are in the ideal place for a stop-over or half way holiday. We are lucky to boast on the fact we are so close to beautiful wedding hotspots. Kinmount House is 2.4 miles away & Gretna Green is only 12 miles away. We are with-in walking distance to Powfoot beach & the golf course. The closest town is Annan. Taxis are easy & quick if required, also the bus stop is outside. Our place is ideal for families & we welcome well behaved, housetrained doggies too!

A beautifully appointed two bedroom cottage, situated in the heart of popular and desirable Scotby village. Children and dogs welcome. The accommodation comprises entrance hall leading to the living room with original fireplace and gas log burner, modern kitchen with integrated oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. The cottage is perfect for walkers and non-walkers as there is plenty to do around the area. Ideal for couples and young families. Completed in 2020, The Byre is one of 3 cottages in our old stone barn near Ullswater in the Lake District. Thornythwaite Farm is in Matterdale which is a peaceful valley off the beaten track but with great access to all the popular areas of the Lakes. There are plenty of walks from the door and a good pub, The Royal, is just a short stroll down the road.
