The Garden House

A beautiful, recently renovated two storey house attached to the host's home. It is secluded, south facing and sunny, with glorious views across water meadows to the river which cuts its way beneath steep woodland and past the best fine dining pub in Herefordshire, The Riverside. The house has its own terraced garden and below, an orchard - great for dogs. We are on the marvellous Mortimer Trail which is a 30 mile walk between the towns of Ludlow and Kington. 45 mins from Hay Festival!

Pembridge must be one of the prettiest villages in the country. A great location for walkers and sightseers with Kington, Leominster, Ludlow the Welsh border and Offa's Dyke all within easy reach. Walcote Lodge is a spacious, quiet (fully double glazed), cosy and well-equipped detached house. A new kitchen and 2 new bathrooms were completed in 2025. Centrally located with the 14th Century "New" Inn across the road and the Red Lion next to it, you'll be well served with local hostelries.
