Glacier stay

Jökla Gisting is located in a quiet place surrounded by glaciers and beautiful nature, 11 km from Höfn. In winter, the air and colours are incredibly crisp, and the northern lights are a wonderful sight in the countryside. We offer accommodation in three houses that are fully equipped with everything guests need. Wild reindeer sometimes come to visit and are roaming in the peaceful nature nearby. The glacier attracts people, and various glacier tours are available in the surrounding area. Sledding, hiking and ice cave tours are popular.

Birkifell winter cabin

A small and cozy cabin in the quiet of the countryside, just under a mountain with a beautiful glacier as it's neighbor. With two bedrooms, one double bed and two single beds, dining and sitting area, with t.v and free wifi, well equipt kitchen. Large patio with outdoor furniture and bbq. Ideal for a quiet holiday in the countryside with beautiful hiking grounds, a geothermal hot tubs a short walk away and nature all around, and spectacular view of the northen lights during winter.

Haukaberg House

Our house is located in a quiet residential area, a cozy and bright house made from wood. We offer comfortable beds and quality bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped and you should be able to find everything you need. In our area you can find guided glacier and riding tours. You could visit Vestrahorn and go to the Hot tubs in Hoffell. Other fascinating places that we recommend are Fláajökull, Heinabergsjökull and Hoffellsjökull. Suitable for big groups / families.

Good for enjoying the northern lights, views and quiet.

Beautiful views of Vatnajökull, Vestrahorn and the surrounding mountains. Dilksnes is a great place to enjoy the northern lights. Hafnar in Hornafjörður is four kilometers away, where there is a swimming pool, golf course, shops and good restaurants. The cottage has three bedrooms with a private bathroom, a total of 7 people. Dilksnes also has a greenhouse. There is plenty of parking space at the house and good internet.

Berunes Smithy - Historic Tiny House by the Fjord

An unique Tiny House, a compact living space for friends. It is part of the Historic Farmhouse, in a former Smithy. The House is opposite the Community Church and Graveyard. Close by the popular Berunes Restaurant, open from June to August ´26. The restaurant takes pride in serving an ever-changing menu inspired by local ingredients, ensuring a delightful culinary journey during your stay.
