The cottage existed as a shop since the 1800’s and later ‘The Penny Bank’ and has now been modernised. Our cosy little house is in the centre of the village of Messingham. There’s lots of pubs and eateries within walking distance. We have an Indian, Thai, Italian & dog friendly pubs with live music, hairdressers, beauty salons, a bakery & food shops. A short drive away there’s a Nature reserve, play barn, golf, tennis, fishing & a little zoo as well as Blyton ice cream & racetrack. A little stream with ducks is in the next village. We welcome families, couples, business people & contractor’s.

Welcome to Priests Abode. Built in the 1600s as part of Papist Hall, the newly renovated cottage offers a delightful mix of period features and modern amenities finished to a high standard. The enclosed gardens feature relaxing seating areas, impressive stonework arches, a BBQ, and a delightful range of planting featuring mature trees and vibrant flowers.
