The house of Belavista is a recently restored centenary house surrounded by an extensive green area, overlooking the sea and the mountains. It is located on the northeast coast of the island of São Miguel. Visit us!
“We were there for Christmas and New Year's Eve and felt very comfortable. The house is of course huge for two, but also very comfortable and cozy. In summer you will probably be outside in the evening, in winter we sat in front of the burning fireplace. There was enough firewood. The view over the Atlantic Ocean is simply great, not just for city dwellers. In the morning the sun rises over the next ridge and shines in the bedroom windows. The place has a bakery, two shops and a pub (we weren't in that). It doesn't work without a car, but by car all places, viewpoints and sights are quickly reached. A hiking trail starts from the church, which we found quite exhausting but also beautiful. When we arrived we found fresh bread, milk and water on the kitchen table. Marcília was always in touch and asked if we were fine and if something was missing. She also had good tips for restaurants and the hot springs. We fully recommend Casa da Belavista!”
The house is a hospitable centennial house for rent where you can spend unique moments on São Miguel Island in the Azores. Ideal place for nature lovers to get lost in unique moments. The house was degraded, in ruins and was recovered by us during 2015. We seek to maintain the identity of the house, privileging the magnificent view and location in a quiet place conducive to a holiday where contact with the natural elements is a constant.
“The pictures do not do this place justice. It's larger than I expected! The cottage is located in a quiet town overlooking the ocean. In the upstairs bedroom you can fall asleep to the sound of the surf. The house has been lovingly restored and retains many original stone details. Pedro and Lilianna made communication easy and rolled with our flight's weather delay. The thoughtful welcome basket had so many goodies we couldn't get to them all! There are many things to see and do within a 45 minute driving distance. Hit the road and make a day of exploring and then come back to your cozy & peaceful cottage. I will be telling friends and family about his magical place.”
The Ribeira dos Caldeirões lodging is located in the Natural Park whith its water mills, an idyllic countryside and point of essential reference on the island of São Miguel. Located in the northeast of the county (the most natural of the island), around the house there are verandas, you can view and listen to the sound of waterfalls and water course. You can perform outdoor dining, barbecue, enjoy the many waterfalls and visit the Ethnographic Museum, as well as practice adventure sports
“The area around this Airbnb is highly worth mentioning - we ended up nicknaming it the “Garden of Eden” as it is literally so beautiful that it invokes a spiritual response. The skies are bright with stars at night and the days are filled with splendid flowers (and oh the scent!), birds chirping and waterfalls cascading at every turn. The home itself is lovely - traditional stone cottage but with all the renovations and amenities to provide for the perfect home away from home. The kitchen is done up perfectly, the living room is warm and inviting and the bedroom is quite spacious. If you decide to book here - we would highly recommend it if you are a true nature lover and enjoy being off the beaten track. The cafe next door is the perfect breakfast spot with lovely coffee, yummy treats and warm toasts (with ham and cheese).”
