Built in 1914 for the pregnant widow of 1 of 3 men from Catalina lost in the Great Sealing Disaster, the front bedroom & kitchen feature original low beam ceilings. Named Gold Mine Cove in 1583, the beach as you turn to the bnb is part of the Discovery UNESCO Global Geopark - "Fool's Gold" on one side & 560-million-year-old fossils on the other.

Our Lighthouse Inn has 4 levels. The first level is kitchen /sitting area and bathroom with shower. The second has a comfortable cozy bedroom for two . And a washroom just outside the bedroom. The 3rd level can be used to accommodate children or extra guests. The top level is home to an amazing view. Nice place to sit and enjoy morning coffee or evening sunset. A peaceful Harbour view! You are 500 feet from the wharf which is the hub of this outport. We are located conveniently on the Southern Shore, close enough to St. John's, Petty Harbour, Ferryland, Trepassy and even St. Vincent for day excursions. The CABIN is located next to the Barn, Bunky and Sibley Tent on the property.
