On warm days, sip coffee or eat delicious food while looking at Namsan Tower from the terrace. It is a quiet neighborhood in Seoul, so there is no noise at night, so you can sleep peacefully. Also, it is in the center of Seoul, so transportation is convenient. It is a 20-minute walk from Seoul Station, and a 40-minute walk from City Hall. Transportation to go anywhere in Seoul, such as buses and subways, is convenient. Furniture, doors, etc. have unique furniture that has been recycled using Korean Hanji. Feel the warmth of Seoul. Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, very close to Gwanghwamun Square, the center of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Seoul. It consists of Anchae, Sarangchae, and Annex Room. Built in 1939, Dongchonjae It's not a fancy hanok. Seoul City and the government (Korea Tourism Organization) have recognized it as a traditional hanok. Dongchonjae has opened its home by a retired couple and has been operating since October 2020. Guests use 4 rooms, living room (Daecheongmaru), kitchen, 2 bathrooms (inside: shower available, outside: small but showerable), Numaru, and yard. The host lives in Sarangchae and provides breakfast and other services. A beatiful walking path connects our home to the nearest subway station. On this path one can enjoy the spacious trail, go for a quick jog, or use the public exercise equipment located along the trail. This is good for a couple, alone, and long-term residents.
