'Atatū' means "dawn" - our favourite time at the property, when the sun travels across the sea to outline the hills and all is peaceful. Atatū is a great base for outdoor adventures in the three National Parks nearby, wine-tasting in local vineyards, olive grove picnics, gallery visits or delicious meals in excellent local eateries. A glorious swimming pool and spa await you upon return. The chef's kitchen & BBQ ensure you can prepare sumptuous meals with delicious local ingredients.

Romantic Getaway - The Caboose

Romantic Getaway. The Caboose is a handcrafted replica of a train carriage, with a small private garden. Set on a half acre property next to our historic farmhouse, centrally located at the outskirts of Motupipi, at the eastern side of Golden Bay, only 5 minutes drive from the beach and 5 minutes from Takaka township. The outdoor shower, bath and toilet are all in the private garden that can be accessed with stairs from the side of the balcony of The Caboose. Full cell phone coverage.

Quiet Street/ Walk Everywhere

Our priority is ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable night's sleep. We provide comfortable beds, 2 Super King-sized beds and 1 queen-sized bed. Our property is on a tranquil cul-de-sac but within walking distance of town. A brand new Air Con and a wood burner make this home very cozy. Our location is very central. Motueka is the closest town to Abel Tasman National Park, and we are nestled between Nelson City and Nelson Lakes to the South and Golden Bay to the North.

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. Relax in your own private space. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and get up close and personal with farmlife and native birdlife. Take a walk up to your own private yoga deck, under a canopy of Manuka trees and take in the lovely view of the farm and beyond. High on the hill, you'll appreciate the peace and privacy, yet you can meander down the bush path from the front lawn and be on the beach in a minute or two. Engage in the beach, the river, the walks or simply relax - it's easy to do here! - and enjoy the lush views from Farewell Spit to Separation Point. Whilst stargazing you can catch both the Pillar Point and Farewell Spit lighthouses.

The Chooks nook, a home away from home. Tucked up in a quiet native garden surrounded by bird song and fruit trees for you to enjoy when in season, and of course our four cheeky chooks. Our seperate, private cottage sits on our 2,250sqm property, with the great taste trail right on our doorstep and the gateway to the Abel Tasman 15 minutes drive away.
