Our self-catering flat is in arguably the most charming and interesting part of the city - right next to Lancaster Castle - in a quiet residential neighbourhood, but take a couple of minutes’ walk and you’re at the heart of town. We welcome people looking for a peaceful, quiet stay in this historic area. Stylish, recently refurbished to very high standards, for our more discerning guests. Centrally located in Bowness for bars and restaurants, and walking distance to Lake Windermere. The 1st floor apartment has quality new kitchen and bathroom and a keyless enrty system. The apartment is in the heart of The Lake District National Park, with easy access via local buses to Ambleside Grasmere and Keswick. Lots of water activities in the area, along with lovely walks over fells and mountains.

Dorothy’s place Bowness on Windermere

Dorothy’s place is part of an 18th Century Villa. Adults only no children allowed. Everything you need for that perfect romantic break. Guests get full use of the large garden and woodland to take in the stunning view. If travelling by train our advice would be get a taxi from the station as can be difficult to find on foot . Guests are welcome to park up as early as you want before check in or drop luggage off in a safe place,but please let us know in advance.
