The space
Like the snowflakes that fall on the surrounding mountains, every detail of this five-acre Truckee property is unique. Custom built out of live-edge wood, stone, and steel, this newly constructed home has received the Outdoor Living Award from Tahoe Quarterly Magazine.

Snowshoe into historic downtown Truckee, hike and bike nearby trails, or drive 15 minutes to several of the area’s first-class ski resorts. Breathe in the fresh pine-scented air and watch the sunset over the treetops from 2 levels of outdoor living areas: one with sitting and dining spots, a barbecue, and a hot tub; the other with a ping-pong table and enough space for a yoga practice. In the backyard, find a firepit, horseshoe pit, and solid stone loungers that are warmed by the sun to the perfect napping temperature.

Vaulted cedar ceilings and an open-concept layout make the villa’s great room just as inviting as its outdoor spaces. Pour a glass from the wine bar to sip in front of the floor-to-ceiling fireplace that anchors the sitting area, and whip up an après-ski smorgasbord in the fully equipped kitchen to serve at the porcelain-slab breakfast bar or the dining table.
