La Bodega (the cellar) de Casa del río is an independent one-bedroom apartment with private bathroom, kitchen and living room, built on a ground floor. The kitchen is equipped to cook your own simple meals (but not oven/microwave). The apartment is basic and minimalist, but it’s also very comfortable and has everything you need for a enjoyable and simple stay. The apartment has views to the valley, a private terrace with amazing views and an independent entrance. You can also use the common areas and the big garden. Please be aware that the apartments do not have washing machine, TV or microwave/oven. If you can’t live without those, this may not be the perfect place for your stay. Phone signal and wifi work perfectly and are quite reliable. Casa del río is the perfect way to scape the noise and experience first-hand living a simple and sustainable life in an Asturias village off the beaten track. The property is ideal for people who want to be away from the noise and crowds, as it is quite isolated and the village of Xio has no services at all. Closest services are a bar/restaurant/swimming pool 10min by car, and shops, supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, petrol station, etc…20min by car.

Morriña is a recently renovated house (2019) on the banks of the River Miño, where the water ‘breaks’ against the house’s porch. It has two exterior bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a spacious living room with a fireplace and a balcony overlooking the river on the top floor. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen with a dining area and a toilet, with access to the patio and the porch. A great deal of attention has been paid to lighting and comfort. PLEASE NOTE: If you book just one night, there is a €50 surcharge.
