Welcome to Stu's corner me 'ansomes, the perfect smugglers hideaway not far from the A30, Bodmin moor and the infamous Jamaica Inn - the home of Dick Penworthy the famous highwayman and his cat the Beast of Bodmin - some say his distant relatives still drink in the bar, and keep your eyes peeled fer 'is cat because 'ees huuge - a true beast, I know cos I seen im! Anyway me beauties back to Luxulyan, tis a beautiful little village nestled right 'ere in the centre of Kernow amongst the granite boulders. You will find all sorts; miners, smugglers, wreckers and of course the Luxulyan valley featured on TV, and some say, did have the deepest copper mine in all Kernow owned by Mr Treffry 'imself. While you're 'ere why not take a train ride to Newquay, my beauties as we 'ave our own station, stick yer hand out mind to make 'im stop. Visit some of our local ports like Polperro - a little smugglers port steeped in local history with its own museum. Fowey of course with all its fine eateries, frequent tall ships visiting and don't forget regatta week. There's Polkerris beach too with its inn on the sand, and then there's Charlestown me 'ansomes, often seen in the Poldark series re named as Truro quay. To top it all only a short hike or 10 minutes on your 'oss is the iconic World famous Eden Project home of the Domes and the acclaimed Eden music sessions and they'm bleddy loud cos we can 'ear em from 'ere. Luxulyan is also world known for 'Luxullianite' a very special rock cos tis pink and was used to make the Duke of Wellingtons coffin, so they say, and shipped out of Par, can't say for sure though cos I wasn't there. While you're stayin' 'ere we have a local pub serving good food, we have a well stocked shop and post office and not forgetting the pretty little church. There's plenty of parking for your 'oss and cart right next to mine and tis a beauty cos I bought it off Cap'n Poldark 'imself. So that's it me 'amsomes, look forward to seeing you all 'ere. Cycle trails at Lanhydrock National Trust & Cardinham Woods are 5 miles away. Great walks / cycling right from the front door. 2 miles to Avalen Weddings. The cottage is completely self-contained with its own garden & parking. We live next door so are on hand if you need us during your stay. Fresh eggs available to buy

The Burrow is a quirky and snuggly little bolthole. Small, well behaved dogs are welcome. (No large breeds. Maximum cocker spaniel size, PLEASE respect this). Enjoy the fenced, enclosed garden with views across the fields. A short walk from the local dog friendly pub. kitchen, lounge with woodburner (logs supplied). Smart TV, wifi, king size bed, (electric blanket in winter), air fryer, shared washing machine/dryer, parking and storage for bikes etc. Private hot tub, (bring flip flops!)

With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, this rural lodge is perfect for two couples, a family of four or just two people. Centrally situated you can reach the South or North Coast within half an hour. Sunset lodge is set on a 116 hectare Dairy farm 10 minutes from the A30 and the Eden project. The beds can be two kings or a king and two singles. The Lodge has a private and new for 2026 dog secure garden. Infinity Wifi and three flatscreen televisions, open plan living and central heating.

Our romantic Railway Carriage ‘Mr McGregor’ which looks over a carp lake for a getaway or short stay. The carriage has a full sized double bed, ensuite shower and toilet, electric hob, fridge freezer and cosy log burner. Outside is a sun drenched decking and your own private log fired hot tub. Lit up in the evening with solar festoon lighting. There are beautiful local beaches , 15 minutes from the Eden project, 5 mins from the A30 taking you to Padstow, Newquay and other local attractions
