The Cabin is a cozy getaway located on a 4.5 acre lot in a quiet neighborhood. It's only 10 minutes away from the Baton Rouge Airport and Walmart. Downtown Baton Rouge and LSU are about 20 minutes away so if you’re planing to watch a game or enjoy the city it is a little bit of a drive. There's also a simple walking trail that goes to an over view of the Comite River. It takes 5 or 10 minutes to walk and can be challenging for small children but will be enjoyable for out door lovers.

Cajun Acres Log Cabin

Our cozy cabin sits in the heart of Cajun country, about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. It's a great place to spend time relaxing in the quiet serenity of South Louisiana, or enjoy spending a night or more traveling through, it is located just 8 miles north of Interstate 10. We do not allow pets. The Cabin is all wood inside and has the great cabin smell the minute you open the door. It was built in 2014 by Amish builders in Pennsylvania and transported down by a truck.

This is the perfect bayou getaway in the heart of Cajun Country. It overlooks Bayou Amy, which is adjacent to the Atchafalaya Basin. It’s also within minutes of genuine and authentic Cajun cuisine (Landry’s and Pat’s) and local fishing and boating spots (Atchafalaya Basin). Cabins are prewar 1940's motor court with covered parking. Each cabin features, queen bed, TV, WiFi, small bathroom with small shower, original lavatory & fixtures in bathroom. Small kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Air conditioners and electric space heaters. Restaurant (Magnolia Cafe) hours are Tuesday through Sunday 10-3 and Coffee Shop ( Birdman ) on site. Come enjoy history with modern amenities and explore the beautiful plantations homes in our area.

Fishful Thinking - Downstairs

We offer two separate rental units on False River with a private two story pier and dock for your boat. Each unit is rented separately; The pier is shared by both renters. The Sandbar (Bar and Grill) is located south only 5 camps down from Fishful Thinking and has a boat launch and gasoline on the water. When it's time for a lake house vacation, please stay at Fishful Thinking. We will provide a great experience for you!
