Lovely cosy cottage for one or two set on our little French farm in the beautiful and peaceful North Dordogne countryside. The cottage is nestled in 30 acres of fields and woodland where you can watch our many animals pottering around enjoying their sunny French retirement! We are halfway between the pretty villages of Mialet and Saint-Jory-de-Chalais which are well serviced with shops, bars, restaurants and boulangeries. Both villages are less than 5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot.

La maison de l'etang est une maison typique du massif des Monédieres en pierre de taille. Au bout d'un petit hameau habité , environnée de bois , à coté d'un étang, donne à ce lieu magique une impression d'être en dehors du temps, un véritable havre de paix, de charme , d'authenticité et de silence. Idéal pour les vrais amoureux de la nature. La maison a gardé son caractère original poutres, grande cheminée avec poêle a bois. Ambiance chaleureuse. Literie très confortable.

The cottage overlooks and accesses the river, where swimming is possible. The hamlet is very peaceful, and the water is a great place to relax! A walk can be enjoyed from the cottage, along a path along the Vienne River. You can reach Chauvigny on foot or by bike along the trails. There are a few chickens on the grounds. Nightly rate: €52 without sheets + €8 sheets to be paid in advance if needed.
