As can be seen in the photos, there is a shed behind the house. This will not bother you, there is little to no movement and certainly not at night.

Special overnight stay in a Mill

De Swarte Prinsch is an authentic polder mill in the middle of the nature reserve "de Groene Ster" near Leeuwarden. Sleeping in a windmill, an experience! The 120-year-old mill has surprisingly combined many authentic details with modern colors and trendy furniture. From your bed you look through the glass ceiling at the wooden gear, which can be illuminated at night. The bathroom is small, but modern and offers you a great view over the meadows while showering.

You will have the entire house at your disposal, where we live a few days a month. The house was completely renovated last year with a new garden, new bathroom and toilet downstairs, and everything has been repainted. Ground floor has a spacious living room with open kitchen and renovated garden that is on the water. Downstairs in the hallway is a toilet. On the 2nd floor, we have 2 bedrooms and a renovated bathroom +toilet and in the attic another 1 bedroom.

It Roefke has recently been completely renovated and is located in Alde Feanen National Park. Enjoy peace, comfort and nature in our cozy furnished apartment, located in the middle of De Alde Feanen National Park. From the apartment, you have direct access to the nature reserve: step outside and walk into the beautiful Frisian nature. The apartment is located opposite the skûtsjemuseum and within walking distance of the cozy village of Earnewâld.

The 2 city parks Prinsentuin and Vossenpark are around the corner and you can almost see the famous Tower of the Oldenhove from the garden. Relax in the backyard with a cup of tea or go out for dinner in one of the very good restaurants in the city! Enjoy!

Lodging "Smederij Sterk" is located in the old city forge of J. Sterk. The monumental building dates from 1907 and is located in the middle of the city center, close to museums, restaurants, cozy shopping streets and the station. The accommodation has its own entrance, a living room with its own kitchen, a bedroom and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. The lodging overlooks and borders a beautiful square where you can also sit outside.

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.
