Oksala's upper floor for silence and light

My grandmother and grandfather's house OKSALA is located in the southern part of Kaukos village, 1.5 km from the Ounasjoki bridge on the west side of the river. The distance to the Reidar Särestöniemi Museum is 9 km, to Kittilä 20 km, to Levi 40 km and to Ylläs (Ylläasjärvi) 30 km. The house is a place to experience the lights and silence of Lapland, the nature and culture of Lapland in the village community of Kaukonen. My grandmother was a seamstress and my grandfather was a hunter and fisherman. I've been trying to keep a hint of it for you.

Quiet location on the shore of the beautiful Ylä-Juumajärvi, about 2 km from Juuma village, 3 km from Pieni Karhunkierros, near Oulanka National Park. Nearby are wonderful nature sites: Karhunkierrokset, Riisitunturi, Ruka, Kiutaköngäs, etc. You can make day trips to nearby destinations. In a private house in a quiet location (6 km to the centre), a "studio": a bedroom and its own renovated bathroom and SAUNA, in addition a utility room with a kitchenarea. The space has a microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, small fridge, dishes and tea, coffee, sugar, oatmeal. I live in the same building, so it is easy for guests to reach me. There is an indoor dog in the apartment. Guests have their own entrance and the space can be locked. Free parking space and free 5G-wifi.

Studio apartment for short-term accommodation. Best suited for 1-2 people but there are beds to 3. Private entrance and the car can be parked right outside the front door. Socket for car engine heater (not for EV-car batteries). Bed linen and towels are included in the reservation. Bed linen is for the number of people indicated in the reservation. Extra towels 5 eur/person. Best suited for those looking for good nights sleeping. Discount for multiple nights.

Cosy Studio

Peacefully located Alpine cabin, main house is on the 2nd floor. Downstairs is a cosy 35m2 studio with own entrance and spacious parking for the guests to use. The location of the cabin is between Levi Fell and Kätkä Fell and the view from the studio is towards Kätkä Fell. Your hostesses are Tarja and Scott and we live upstairs and are happy to help you with anything and any questions you might have. We speak fluent English and Finnish.

Rauhallinen ja kotoisa yksiö omakotitalon yläkerrassa johon käynti omasta ulko-ovesta. Pihassa oma parkkipaikka, mutta jos haluat käyttää julkisia lähin bussipysäkki on vain 400m päässä. Alueella on myös hyvät ulkoilumahdollisuudet. Polut ja ladut lähtevät suoraan takapihalta. Matkaa kaupungin keskustaan on noin 3,5km. Rautatieasemalle matkaa on n. 4km.
