Sisu Cottage – a summer holiday paradise. Pop out of the sauna and into the river from our new jetty. Come to the riverside, right next to Ounaskoski beach (500 m), where there's a bonfire and other midsummer festivities—just 1.2 km from the town centre. A unique location. From the terrace, views over the river to the city centre. In the area, there is a café-bar with large terraces, as well as an outdoor fire pit/hut. The price includes use of a private shower area in the bathroom from 7 am to 12 pm. Private use of the sauna, spa and hot tub is available at an additional cost.

Each suite offers breathtaking views of the mountain landscape, which you can admire directly from your bed, and in the evenings you can fall asleep admiring the northern lights.

In this unforgettable place, you can rediscover your connection to nature. In the glass igloo, you will experience the natural phenomena of Lapland as if you were part of them, the summer's midnight sun, the winter blizzard and the northern lights, and the silence on the shore of a wilderness lake. The area has a main building where you will find a restaurant with a full license, serving breakfast and dinner on request. The main building also has separate toilets and showers for women and men.

Sonka Resort’s Mirror Houses are set by a frozen lake, surrounded by forest and open sky. Each cabin has a mirrored exterior for privacy, a lake-view glass wall, double bed, sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom, Wi-Fi, and a projector screen. Local breakfast is available on request with at least three days’ notice. With several BBQ kotas on the premises, guests can enjoy outdoor cooking anytime. Igloo saunas and hot tubs are available to book. A quiet Lapland escape under the northern lights.

A fully renovated 50 m² riverside apartment accommodates 5 guests. The kitchen is well equipped, including a Pentik Saaga tableware set. The bedroom/living room has a 180 cm bed, a 120 cm sofa bed and an extra bed. Sledding hill and ice-fishing spots are accessible from the yard; equipment is available for rent. Kick sleds and sleds are provided. High-quality bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available for an extra fee. Help is always available.!

Due to irregular road maintenance and unpredictable weather, a 4x4 car is highly recommended. We offer transport service if needed.
