We live in Vila Franca do Campo for more than 30 years and we think this is the perfect town in the island to spend some relaxing holidays. Casa das Dias is a 1-bedroom house located in the historical center of Vila Franca, right in front of the sea with an outsanding view to the Atlantlic Ocean and Ilhéu, a volcanic islet known among the villagers as the Princess Ring. With sea view, Quinta da Pavoa – Cottage House – is a sustainable house build in the countryside. Made of wood from the island, cryptomeria, this house is integrated in a steading. The balcony with barbecue is a privileged space with an amazing sight to both the mountain, the sea and the small local village. Our guests can enjoy the products of the biological fruits and vegetables from the garden, according to the season, and play with our friendly resident cats.

It is often possible to see by naked eye, groups of dolphins pass the sea of the Amora bay, nearby beach where you can walk from home and enjoy!

In its renovation, we wanted to honor their life and memories, as well as the local culture and stories related to fishing and pottery. We prioritize warm colors, and local and ecological materials combined with simplicity and comfort. It is very well located across the waterfront, with the wonderful islet in full view, and close to the local beaches and restaurants.

House with Suspended Living Room

Our Retreat is a rural nineteenth-century house, restored with the desire to conserve the time of construction characteristics. Not only did we keep the main structure of the house, but also the fire oven and the respective chimney, the mill of wine production and the basalt stone floor . And, to finalize we added a suspended living room - literally a glass cube.
