Stop at the gas station to fill up and grab snacks and ice, have breakfast at the Diner, and then head to the trails. After a days ride stop for dinner in town. The house has everything you need to enjoy your solitude near beautiful Norris Lake: mountain and lake views, gas stone-fireplaces, Amish rocking chairs on wrap around porch, leather couch and granite countertops, comfortable loft and peaceful scenery. Hand-hewn timbers are the structural bones of this luxurious cabin. Providing a sense of safety and security.

Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.
