The house (built between 1910-1920) is one of the few traditional Mediterranean-style buildings in the area that has been preserved and has not been demolished in order to build apartment blocks. This unique character can be seen in every detail around you and in every corner of the house.

It is located on the very first line of the sea, just halfway between the beach of Tavernes de la Valldigna and the beach of Xeraco. Approximately 5 minutes by car from each populated area, that makes the holidays extremely relaxing, with the privilege of admiring the immensity of the Mediterranean Sea.

El Descanso del Monje

The house was built by Cistercian monks in 1723. Its walls are 150 cm thick downstairs and you can breathe peace and quiet inside. In ancient times it was a resting place for monks and farm workers and shepherds sheltered their animals in the building pens. It is oriented towards the Mediterranean, and through its windows you can feel the freshness of the breeze blowing from the sea: warm in winter, cool in summer.
