The Bothy, Churnsike Lodge

Located in Northumberland, at the western edge of Kielder Forest and 14 miles from Haltwhistle, The Bothy is uniquely placed to access a wide range of the area's most beautiful locations and iconic attractions. Offering immediate access to vast forest and moorland environments to explore, replete with breathtaking views and perfect silence, our cottage is ideal for those who are in search of peace and quiet. * Kielder is 90 mins by car from The Bothy, no vehicle access permitted in the forest.

High Hawkhope Bothy

We have to offer fantastic views, bags of peace and quiet at a "get away from it all" venue. We have converted a Shepherd's bothy with beds for four to suit walkers and families alike. This has been converted to a high standard with a single bedroom, separate bathroom with shower and an open plan living and kitchen area with wood burning stove as we aim to offer this accommodation year round. The bothy is located on the edge of the Kielder Water Resevoir next to our home, High Hawkhope Cottage.

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Built from scratch by none other than the owners themselves, the dog-friendly Tweedenburn Shepherd's Hut is more than just a labour of love; it’s also a completely off-grid hut powered by solar panels and in an excellent spot for exploring the Scottish Borders. When you’re ready for a kip, there’s a comfortable double bed for two inside the hut. Complete with a woodburning stove. Firepit/ barbecue and gas hob provided in the outdoor kitchen.
