“The pool, the private white-sand beach and the jacuzzi on the beach are highlights of this property. We hang out in the jacuzzi area in the evening listening to waves and watching stars. The next day we were allowed to stay in the property after we checked out. I walked to the Waldorf Astoria next door to buy a coffee and checked out their beach. I’d say this property matches the five-star experience next door. The only thing I didn’t realize is that there is a corridor in between the room and the ocean views, so there could be people walking by your room if you have the door open. Something to consider if you want more privacy. We didn’t think it was an issue and in fact we were gracious that we found this gem. Also as mentioned in description, there is no elevator for this second-floor room, you’ll expect to walk up a few stairs. Staff is really friendly. Overall, a fantastic stay.”
The Island Suite is part of a historic Key West property built around 1889. Suite #16 is located on the first floor at the rear of the 411 William Street building. “We loved staying at Ruth’s studio style room. Everything was perfect- check in was very easy (get a door code, then go inside), the bed was very comfortable (my boyfriend sells mattresses for a living and he even said he loved it). Plenty of dishes, coffee machine, a warm pool, awesome porch and other sitting areas. Close enough to Duval and downtown area, easily walk-able, but nice and quiet location for sleeping. Other guests at the pool area were so nice and have been staying here for years. We will definitely be back. I could not have asked for a better place.”
Key West is like a little piece of the Caribbean; it’s always warm with lovely turquoise waters. It's a short walk to Mallory Square, Hemingway's Home, the Truman White House, Duval Street, a Maritime Museum and the Eco Discovery Center. You're just a walk away from Zachary Taylor Park (where you can do yoga on the beach, swim, snorkel, or hang hammocks between the palms and just relax.
“Wonderful condo right off of Duval- quiet street in Truman Annex. Both bath and swim towels provided. Washing machine and dryer in unit. Was enough laundry detergent to get us started- bought more and left there. Was also dish detergent, coffee filters (drip coffee maker in unit), paper towels and two rolls TP- HIGHY recommend renting bikes from Eaton Bike Rental on the island. Were the cheapest around- they deliver and pick up bikes from condo complex. Pool in complex is small but very clean. Location is less than a 5 min. bike ride to Ft. Zachary State Park. Cost to enter park is $2.50 on bike or on foot. Wendy's apartment was clean and welcoming. Location was ideal. Walgreens is 1 block walk if you forget any toiletries. Full size fridge and all the pots and pans you could need to prepare meals. Easy bike ride to Fausto's (Grocery store)- bought food for breakfast and lunches to keep in condo. Chairs on deck are super comfy. Highly Recommend!!!!”
