The hostel is a renovated 80 year old wooden building that opened in July 2015. All tatami rooms are futon type. The guest rooms and shower shower room are clean so women can use them with peace of mind. The shower room is available 24 hours a day.Please be quiet as there are people who will be sleeping after midnight. Check-in time is from 14:00 to 18:00 and check-out time is before 10:00. We can store your luggage before check-in/after check-in. You will be charged a fee (500 yen) for keeping your luggage on days other than your check-in and check-out days. There is no curfew after check-in, but if you go out or enter in the middle of the night, please ensure that you do not disturb guests in the same room or neighbors. This is a newly refurbished modern Japanese style hostel in Kawaguchiko. The Japanese Style Tatami Room (room size 10㎡) has 3 sets of Futon mattress and duvet for the maximum of 3 people. It is located about 10 minutes away on foot from Kawaguchiko station. We provide the following amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hairdryer, clothing hangers, Wi-Fi, laundry machines and car park. Japanese Private Room with Toilet Max 3 people

This washitsu* has a Japanese low table and zabutons* on tatami* flooring. You sleep on futons* laid on the tatami, and you can sit directly on the tatami or zabutons set on it. Toilet is inside the room. All of our rooms are non-smoking ones. There is no TV in the room. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.
