The modern cabin from 2022 is located in the beach zone on Herlandsneset at the end of Atløy in Askvoll Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane. The plot is sunny with panoramic sea views that can be enjoyed from the cabin's hot tub. There is a fabulous view from the cabin towards the island of Kinn in the northwest, a landmark and the area is known as a sailing landmark along the coast. To the southwest you can see the well-known viewpoint Brurastakken and the popular hiking island Alden also called Norske Hesten. With the cabin's motorboat you can travel there and to Værlandet and Bulandet.

Magnificent views, no WiFi. Just over an hour's drive from Bergen. End of cul-de-sac. There are many built-up nature trails in the area and abundant wildlife in the sea. Sleeps 6-8 divided into 3 rooms. Please bring your own towels and your own bed linen (Can possibly rent privately). Hot tub available - wood fired. The cabin must be cleaned (including floor cleaning) after use, or a cleaning fee of NOK 500 will be charged. Shop, pharmacy, etc nearby Bikes and some fishing equipment are available. Sofiahuset has been in our family since 1908. It is now renovated and has all the comfort of a modern home as well as charm from the past. Conveniently close to the E16 road between Voss and Bergen. Bergen Airport Flesland is 40 minutes away by car. The ideal spot for hiking, exploring Bergen and the fjords, or just enjoy the peace and quiet at this inland island of Osterøy. Famous attractions like Flåm, Gudvangen, Sognefjord, Hardangerfjord, Voss and Trolltunga within daytrip distance.

Seafront retreat - pier, boatrental & fishing camp

You will have full access to the whole downstairs apartment of 125m2 in total. 3 bedrooms and a large living room stands at your disposal. Outside you have your own private backyard with lots of outdoor games. From the pier you can fish, rent boat or swim. There is a 98l freezer box where you can store the fish you catch or any other food. Through our boat rental company, we are a lisenced fish camp. This means you can export up to 18kg of fish per fisherman with you out of Norway.

The cabin is about a 1-hour drive from the airport and a 40-minute drive from Bergen. Only an 18-minute drive from Knarvik Amfi Shopping Centre and 8 minutes to the SPAR supermarket. The cabin is located by Seimsfjorden with a direct view of the sea from the living room window and good sunlight throughout the day.
