School house that has become a residential house. Newly renovated and modernized in 2023. Over 3 meters in ceiling height in the "classrooms", timber walls, stylish and overlooking the Jølstravatnet that can be enjoyed from the window or from the porch. The house has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Lovely living room with kitchen and dining room, as well as a TV room. Jølster offers mountain tours all year round. Close to the house there are great cross-country ski trails in winter, as well as many top hiking opportunities. Pets are not allowed. IG: @gamleskulen

Jølet! Imagine lying suspended above the ground on a bed of rushing water with stars in your eyes! That's exactly what you can experience in Jølet, the cabin that is specially designed to give an optimal feeling of closeness to nature. On the edge of a "jøl" (a type of riverbank), created by the river's thousand-year effort to reach the fjord, the cabin partially floats in the terrain. Situated completely by itself without close neighbors, but overlooking the cultural landscape and village, this is a perfect place for both relaxation and activity.

This house is one of 10 houses, rooms and cabins at the farm, and we have 6 suites opened 2022. Total we can accommodate 50 guests. We have concerts, dinners and events at the barn the whole summer.
