The cottage is located on a large lot and offers sweeping views of the lake and dangerous landscapes. From the village you can take the castle to a stunning sandy beach. The starting point of the ski trails is 2 km away, but from the yard you can go directly to the lake ice for skiing. For the fisherman, Kemijärvi offers abundant catches. Jam, blueberries, and lingonberries right on the corner of the cabin await the pickers.

The property is best suited for a lover of Lapland's nature, history, and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter and no mosquitoes in the summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

Our holiday home is situated in Kemijärvi 85 kms/ 53 miles north-east from Rovaniemi. Nice peaceful 71 m2 apartment close to the nature. You can rest hiking, biking, skiing, swimming, picking berries or mushrooms - whatever you like. Kemijärvi is a town of 6000 inhabitants in the middle of two lakes just above the polar circle. Sauna. There are good trails for crosscountry skiing almost from our front door. The distances to the downhill skiing areas: 45 kms to Suomu and 53 kms to Pyhä.

Near Sallatunturi

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The accommodation is located a 30-minute walk from the fell center, where you will find a rental shop for hobbies, food restaurants and a spa. The nearest store is 7 km away. You can enjoy nature all year round in the nearby terrain. In winter, the nearest trails are 10 minutes away. It is a good idea to rent a car from the airport or train station, so that the adventure in the surroundings of Sallatunturi will be comfortable.

The naturally beautiful Kemijoki beach is about an hour's drive from Rovaniemi, 65 km towards Kuusamo. I recommend renting a car. Fully equipped 75 m2 cottage with two bedrooms, kitchen, sauna, bathroom, porch and terrace. There is a beach near the cottage (about 700 m). Opportunities for snowmobiling, fishing, berry picking and hunting, as well as hiking. There is a boat launch about 1.2 km away.
