The Blue Beach House

Come and stay in our awesome and sunny guest house in Mangawhai Heads! Only 15 minutes walk from the estuary beach, the Wood street shops and 30 minutes walk to the popular surf beach! You will love staying here, the apartment has large north facing triple stacker sliding doors that you can leave open to soak in the all day sun! Even in winter you will feel like you are in the middle of summer. You will also enjoy amazing views of the Brynderwyns and fresh fruits from our garden (in season)!

The Chalet will be clean, spacious and convenient to everything available in this beautiful environment. You will have a generous view of our estuary and sandhills to the front. Then as the property backs on to a farm there is a very strong rural feel, with wide views of Bream Tail Farm and the Brynderwyn hills. Trek the Goldschmidt track to the beach from the top end of Cullen St or 25 minutes walk by road. The estuary walk is about 10 minutes via the shortcut track halfway down the road.

Stingray Cottage - Self-contained , private

The one-bedroom cottage is a tranquil haven with a separate kitchen/living area which faces the vege garden. There's an occasional train. Private entrance and off-street parking outside the door. Heating/aircon. Breakfast - muesli, yogurt, toast, egg and Nespresso coffee We are very close to the centre of the historic town and heritage buildings. Easy access to the river walkway and shops. Supermarket and cafes are a 5 minute stroll. Thermal hot pools are 5 minutes away. Pets are welcome.

Positioned high in the hills above Waipu Cove, we offer a tranquil and modern animal-friendly base in historic Waipu, close to the beaches and town. The perfect spot to explore sunny Northland. Comfortable self-contained cabin for 2, sitting upon a stunning private hilltop site overlooking Taurikura Bay in Whangarei Heads. Affordable peace, quiet and privacy is our aim (1 night stays available most days). Grass camping site space available (campers #3-8 will need to bring own tent/bed/linen). I can provide made up floor mattresses for guests #3-4 if you are happy to share the small cabin space. Safe ample parking available on site.
