You’ll love our quintessential retro bach because of it's private, sheltered outdoor area, and close proximity to the beach. A two minutes walk and you're at the waters edge. It's perfect for couples, solo adventurers, smaller families and pets.
“Really lovely little Bach, the private outside courtyard is a lovely place for an outdoor meal and plenty of space inside the Bach for a weekend away. Kitchen is well kitted out for making meals. The beach down the road is beautiful and really easy to pop in to Whanganui town for some fun shops and cafes. A lovely spot!”
Our upstairs studio apartment is clean, tidy and welcoming. It sits high up for the perfect view of the ocean and our wonderful sunsets. This cosy accommodation is in addition to our family home. Even though your stay is self sufficient, your host is nearby to assist if needed. Kai Iwi Beach and Bushy Park Estate are only a short drive back up the road, with only a 14 min drive to Victoria Ave in downtown Whanganui. A nice stay for a casual night or two, or just to get away.
“Steven and Bridgette’s was a great stopover, close enough to Whanganui to buy groceries in town but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. Laundry facilities (with a large washer!) were very much appreciated, as was the king sized bed - a luxury on a long road trip! We enjoyed our short time there and would definitely return!”
Kick back and relax at our stunning beach house. Amazing views of our west coast beach and plenty of space to chill out. Close to park and beach. 15 minutes from town. Set up for fishing and for kids.
“We had a fantastic time at the beach house. The view is to die for, every morning I woke & headed out to the front deck with my coffee! The house is very comfortable and spacious. Kids were over the moon because the house came with the best selection of toys we have ever seen! Helen offered us use of the kayaks & equipment but sadly the day we had planned to get on the water ended up with some very rough waves so we missed out. The beach is wonderful to walk & play and is just a couple of minutes walk from the house. The only recommendation I would make to visitors is to bring something warm to wear once the sun goes down (we visited in mid March). I hope I get the chance to return, I would be back in a heartbeat!”
