This spacious cabin features a comfortable King bed, 55” TV above a gas fireplace, and recently had a top to bottom renovation! The spacious back deck features a large hot tub just steps from the back door, hooks for the provided terry cloth robes, and a Weber grill.

Welcome! We are new to Airbnb but not to a sister site where we have a couple hundred 5star reviews. We have had our home as a rental for almost 5 years now! It has two bedrooms with one queen and two twin beds. A loft and a futon! A full kitchen. One bathroom with a tub/shower combo. You’ll find yourself relaxing on our large deck that spans the rear of the house. Sit in the hot tub overlooking the fenced-in yard and the woodlands below. Private wooded setting! Dogs welcome with fee.

The large living/entertaining area has large windows that open to the back deck which overlooks a lake, farmland, trees, the whole city of Carbondale, SIU campus, and clock tower. It has 4500 square feet with tall vaulted cedar ceilings, large master suite, full basement with game room and more!

We have recently added a Finnish Sauna and Japanese Ofuro Soaking Tub. We accept well behaved dogs for a fee of $35 a night. We allow only guests and friends of the Pool House on the grounds, gardens or pool. Hosts are Jane, anthropologist and D. a retired photojournalist for the New York Times.
